There were 2 studios, A) was the main studio and had a custom 36 track Neve
console, B) was more used for foley and dialog replacement, had a 24 track
console.  I'm not sure the manufacturer of the one in B.  I only knew the one
in A was a Neve because one day I spoke to a tech who had the board torn apart
because of me.  With the instructor watching, I got a shock off of one of the
pan nobs.. the instuctor said he saw my hair go up.. when they played back the
track you could hear the snap.  As the tech and instuctor said that's not
possible...  I get shocks off everything.. I felt sorry for the tech.  Btw A)
was 2 inch Digital. and B) was a 1 inch Analog studio.  Both are probably full
digital now.. I took that course in the 90's.  

My favorite part of the course was manually editing audio tape, and digitally
editing sounds/audio. 
I was ok at mixing, I knew the board and xf-rack almost, blindfolded.  I only
took the course so I'd be better at recording my own music.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the chance to finish it. I can definately say
that I had fun when taking the course.  I know you could always get older
equipment..
