I actually thought it looked pretty silly when it first came out. My brother
and his SO were really into it, but then again he grew up on the original so I
blamed it on nostalgia. I didn't end up watching it until after the entire
run was released. I watched it again with my girlfriend (who also liked it) a
year or two ago and still really enjoyed it. That said, I can definitely see
numerous things about it that might turn people off.
