I loved Zork but never played them until the 90s when Return to Zork was building up hype. I was confounded by how to progress in the first part for literally years, as I don't recall it ever explicitly telling you it is of the old Adventure inspired treasure hunt variety, so I was approaching it more like a Sierra or Lucasarts adventure game and at some point the breadcrumbs kind of just... end. Once I finally figured that out I beat it quickly, and then hunkered down and beat 2 and 3 in very short order. I tried but could never get into any of the others (Beyond Zork and Zork Zero, mainly) though I did end up playing quite a few of the other Infocom text adventures. Good stuff. <3 |08j |15A C K |08p |15H L A S H |08! --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A45 2020/02/18 (Windows/32) * Origin: d i s t o r t i o n // d1st.org (77:1/911) .
