Subj : The Outer Limits To : ALL From : Mike Powell Date : Sat Feb 15 2020 08:06 pm I have lately watched several episodes of the early 1960's "The Outer Limits" series. I think it ran for 3 seasons, and the episodes I have been watching lately are the last ones. Most of the stories are a little darker than "The Twilight Zone" stories from the same era. Each episode is also an hour long, and it sometimes feels like they had to add a bunch of improbable things into the stories in order to stretch them out. I feel like the production budget may have been a little less for these stories also. I have never noticed this with TZ but there have been a few times with TOL where you can actually see the strings or wires that are making things move. :) I noticed that more im some of the first episodes from the series than the ones I am watching now. Still, I enjoy them. It is also neat to see some actors which I recognize from other movies and shows making appearances. Adam West, of "Batman" TV fame, was in an episode I watched recently called, "The Invisible Enemy." There have been several others, but that is the one that springs to mind.
