Apart from the amusement of seeing a follow-up to a post from *25* years 
ago (I wonder whether that's a record), I was interested to note that 
Brooks was a force in college rowing before it was Brooks, if you see 
what I mean.

My club acquired an ancient Empacher 8 (a wooden one) which had been 
around a bit.  It never had a name when we used it, but I later 
discovered that it had been at Dundee University BC long before we got 
it; they had named it "Taytanic".
