I think the idea is that this is only for the hubs to talk to each other using
ZT, and any nodes that wish to use it. If a node wants to connect that
doesn't have ZT, then they can use hub.ca.erb.pw (i.e. drop the zt from the
hostname) and it will connect using regular internets.

Deon will be able to explain this better as he knows way more about it than
I, I just set it up :)

The nodelist just has the .zt.erb.pw hostname for the hubs, the node bbses
still have their regular hostname set in the nodelist, and the hub would be
configured to use the regular hostname for them, unless they want to use ZT
and then you can as you say override the setting.
