I saw your thread on PiNet - and didnt answer because I answered here. Yes
sadly PiNet is very quiet - and I think a result of many zones and many
duplicate places to have a conversation on the same thing...

(I'm working on that in the background, but it will be a big project that
many never get off the ground...)

Unfortunately I cannot help you - but I did have a Pi 1 at one point with a
PiFace Control and Display hat. One of its use cases was internet radio - so
it had the buttons to change channels and the software.

You might be able to leverage something from that...
