I'm using net38b6 dated Nov 2015, and network2 from June 2016 currently.  It 
has been a while since I tried to update.  I think the reason I had to revert 
to the older version was related to the gated messages - where FTN messages 
were not going to native WWIVnet or something like that.  Messages from the FTN 
gateway were not being sent out WWIVnet.  

I seem to remember you believe that was fixed and I just never got around to 
working with you on a date to re-test things.

wwivutil would be good to use too, but would need to figure out how to trigger 
it when a new subscriber is added.  Probably should just get back to testing 
the latest network software over here again at some point.
