What started things for me was my wife asking if we could do something with our old security system that was in the house and never used. I converted the system to be smart using Konnected and have added boat loads of other things ever since. I have at least half of all light switches in the house are TPlink smart WiFi switches in Home Assistant, I custom added the garage doors, temperature sensors in the server room, smoke detectors, security cameras, lights, thermostat, alarm, motion sensors, device tracking, humidity, water sensors, Android TV/NVidia Shields, Christmas stuff, UPS battery monitoring, wake up alarms, Internet radio, crypto tracking, current weather, etc.. all are "smart" and things I have added to Home Assistant. S> This year I splurged and bought two 400' long strings of LED outdoor xmas S> lights. I have them strung up along the street side of our property, barn, S> and fence lines. Right now they are just a calming steady set of xmas S> colors. When the time is right, I am going to switch them to 'disco' mode S> and see how long it takes my neighbors to freak out. S> S> Happy Holidays everyone!! I did the same thing years ago, but unfortunatly many of them no longer work. I have yet to find decent quality Christmas lights in my lifetime. The wire that was used in the sets that I bought is more thin than a human hair. It is no wonder they get disconnected internally and break all the time. The LED lights themselves are fine, just the wire is crap. I would pay twice as much for ones that are made of quality, but I have yet to find them. Everything is made in China and complete garbage. - Mark :.: Weather Station BBS ú telnet://bbs.weather-station.org :.: :.: http://www.weather-station.org/bbs ú Bel Air, Maryland - USA :.: ÿÿÿÿÿÿ --- WWIVToss v.1.52 * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (11:1/101.0) .
