There are flash tunes available that take it higher and eliminate the rev 
limiter. I did this with a 2009 VW gti at NGP in Aberdeen Md. With the 93 
octane tune, I added about 50 whp onto the car and it was amazing. More power 
and acceleration than my 1969 Firebird 400 HO.  Considering the Firebird was 
about 2 1/2 tons of weight. Fasted top end was more than 150 on I-95 playing 
with an Audi A-5 once and I scared myself.
