I know it's slow but it gets the job done. It has great ground clearance and 
great reliability and longetivity. I did the same thing when I was 20, I traded 
in a 1969 Firebird 400 HO for a 73VW beetle. I had the bug up through school, 
400k miles, my first marriage and the birth of my first daughter. That was 1975 
- 1987. Amazing car. It was even fun offroad. So I am looking for that bug 
again.
