Speaking of $$$, I just spent $2300 on another transmission rebuild for the 
Monte Carlo.  I must be insane as I have clearly bought that car at least twice 
over now.  :)

I worked a deal, though.  I had them install an entire exhaust system (cat and 
everything), plus new subframe bushings.  I supplied the parts and did all the 
labor for the existing price of the trans rebuild/install.  So in that respect 
it wasn't too bad.

The only thing left at the moment is I need new paint and rear struts.  I can 
do the rear struts eventually.. Not an emergency.
