They were built like tanks. :) You could drive through a house and hardly notice. The oldest car I owned was an 80 Malibu back when GM still made quality cars. It was the least expensive car I even owned. Paid $300 for it, another $900 to replace the transmission (onlky reverse and first gear worked when I bought it). The engine only had $40k on it. Drove it for many years with very few issues, although all my dash gauges stopped working one by one. I ended up selling it around 6 years later for $300 after a brake line ruptured due to rust. Was the best bang for my buck to date, no question. These days I tend to keep vehicles forever and also as a challenge. If this weather would ever be decent on the weekend for more than 5 minutes, I need to change the fluids in the 2016 Harley Ultra Limited and finish my extra LED lights install. Plus need to check out my new windshields. I plan on social distancing all the time on it.. :) - Mark :.: Weather Station BBS ú telnet://bbs.weather-station.org :.: :.: http://www.weather-station.org/bbs ú Bel Air, Maryland - USA :.: ÿÿÿÿÿÿ --- WWIVToss v.1.52 * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (11:1/101.0) .
