She took half of my 403b and I was really set back. One thing that helped was that I started a Roth with Schwab. Mostly I would get stocks that paid a high dividend and put the gains back into principal but, it was a couple of high flyers that really helped. There was this Canadian cannabis company that was growing weed for research etc and Canada was going legal. I bought the stock at $24 a share and I bailed after Canada went legal because I assumed the market would be flooded by competitors. I sold it at $65 per share. Since it was a Roth, there were no taxable capital gains. I took my money and then purchased a boat load of Exxon Mobil and Johnson & Johnson. So the portfolio has all good dividend stocks with companies that are diversified and well managed and now it just generates a steady flow on income. This is something I would recommend if you only have 3500 dollars and wanted to catch up but you really need to do your research or you can get screwed. <--> The Blood Stone BBS - Telnet & HTTP www.bsbbs.com <--> \/ WWIVnet Node 1@707 - Sonoma County California \/ ÿÿÿÿÿÿ --- WWIVToss v.1.52 * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (11:1/101.0) .
