Course I do networking for a job.. Me too. :) I guess you could say it is my hobby and job. It is always nice hearing from others that have abnormally large home networks. These are a few of the things I have and run at home. (3) Supermicro 4U rack mount servers - (2) running ESXi and (1) running Windows Server for my cheap man's SAN with 130TB of storage. My ESXi servers have 300 gigs of ram and dual Xeon CPUs. The ESXi servers have tiered storage. I have an SSD, spinner, and iSCSI LUN. (2) Cisco 3650 switches - around (90) wired ethernet drops in the house. (5) Cisco 3702 APs for around 55 wireless clients (mainly Smarthome devices). I also am big into Home Automation and have the bulk of things running local using Home Assistant. I have several wall mounted Android tablets for that use with (9) security cameras. I also have a total of (9) APC UPS units to keep the critical systems online due power blips. Long ago, I ran at least (4) ethernet drops to each room of the house, including around (8) of them outside and in the garage. I am also a storage hoarder and there is never enough storage for me. In the next year or so, I would like to get another more recent Supermicro 4U server for my ESXi environment. One that uses DDR4 and can take higher end CPUs since I max the CPUs at times with my (31) VMs. Yes, I can't believe I run that many VMs now. The number just keeps creeping up. - Mark :.: Weather Station BBS ú telnet://bbs.weather-station.org :.: :.: http://www.weather-station.org/bbs ú Bel Air, Maryland - USA :.: ÿÿÿÿÿÿ --- WWIVToss v.1.52 * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (11:1/101.0) .
