I'd like to do like 10.0.0.0/24 for core S> equipment and servers and 10.0.1.0/24 for IoT and 10.0.2.0/24 for S> workstations. You need a layer 3 router to do that though, don't you? I S> know very very little about networking, just basic stuff. Some of the higher end switches can also do routing. Most of the Cisco 3000 series and higher support full routing with the proper code loaded on it. I'm using a pair of Cisco 3650 stacks and they support routing. That is how I configured the multiple networks. The problem with putting IoT on a different network than other devices is that prevents the auto discovery. For devices that are static and don't need to discover anything, they can go on another vlan. However it seems to be easier for home setups to just make a larger subnet like a /22 or /21. - Mark :.: Weather Station BBS ú telnet://bbs.weather-station.org :.: :.: http://www.weather-station.org/bbs ú Bel Air, Maryland - USA :.: ÿÿÿÿÿÿ --- WWIVToss v.1.52 * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (11:1/101.0) .
