Since we've been talking about metal bands, I thought I'd thrown in a
recommendation for a recent (to me) find.  (I'm also playing with linewrap in
QWK packets, so hopefully this isn't garbled!) 

Pelican is a band that's been around for a while, playing (mostly) instrumental
post-metal. The guitars are somewhere between hard blues/garage rock and stoner
metal, with a kind of pulsing flow that lends itself well both to sitting and
listening intently and having it be background music.

You can definitely find them on YouTube or on bandcamp (link below) and hear
their music.  If you like rock or metal, it's definitely worth taking a listen
to. 

The track "Cold Hope" on the album *Nighttime Stories* is pretty representative
and a good track.
