Yeah, apparently it can happen in air conditioners if you don't clean
them regularly... except he's never used his air conditioner since he
moved in (and it's been really cold here anyway). Also can happen in CPAP
machines if you don't clean them out (he doesn't have one). He does smoke
though, which can make you more suseptable to it.

So yeah, bit of a mystery.
