That is a great idea!  Or if there is some way I can monitor networkb to ensure 
it is still up/listening on the associated port.  Too bad I don't have an 
application load balancer at home so I could monitor the port on it.  :)

I have network management software running at home, but nothing that monitors 
at the port level.  That would be perfect, because it could email me an alert 
if networkb was not responding on it's port.

Let me think about some possible options.
