That sounds like a nice trip...  We are supposed to go to the North Carolina 
beaches in early September.  I'm not much on travel, but I do see where it can 
be fun.

I have relatives in Florida (father and oldest daughter).  I did that drive 
once about 25 years ago and it was long.  Florida is a long state and even 
after getting to the Florida line, it was another 6 hours!  

Of all the states I have visited, I have to say that North Carolina is my 
favorite.  Nice people, great cost of living, easy going lifestyle, and very 
country.  My type of place.
