This FAQ isn't even close to complete! I'm working on it! That's why this is version 1.0. I will be adding more and more, and it would be much appreciated if you send me more info, like Combos and Strategies. See the last chapter. Who the hell are you, anyway? Heh...I just recently got CVS2 for Dreamcast, and I must say, this game shafts the competition. There's a whole ton of characters, tough gameplay modes, and enough variety to keep you satisfied for quite some time. I'm a fighting game enthisast who has played virtually every single Capcom fighter out there (Yes, even Warzard ^_^), so I know what I'm talking about. Hope you enjoy this FAQ!-Sephfire You may be experienced, but you really didn't improve my Eagle play... As I said before, FAQ 1.0. this FAQ will hopefully have combos, strategies, teams, etc. to help your Eagle 'game' improve. SIDE NOTE: All names herein are referred to by their JAPANESE names. Here's a list for those who do not know; JAP/USA/LOOK Vega/M.Bison/Evil boss, with hat and cape. "Psycho Crusher!" M.Bison/Balrog/Boxer. Balrog/Vega/Tall Spanish bullfighter w/claw and mask. Those are all (I think) I need to mention. ************************************************************************************************* 2.0-Eagle fitting in with the CVS/CVS2 Cast ************************************************************************************************* So how does Eagle fit into Capcom Vs. SNK, and more importantly, a NEW fighting game? Capcom Vs. SNK was a fighting game made not so long ago by Capcom, and Eagle was NOT in it. Capcom took the best of their characters, mixed it up with the best of the SNK characters, tossed in an innovative system, and came up with a great game that finally answered the question; Who was better? Ryu or Kyo? Chun-Li or Mai? Zangief or Raiden? More importantly, Vega or Geese? The list goes on. Apparently, the game was so successful that Capcom decided to put out a sequel. Unfortunately, when CVS2 finally hit arcades, there were several bugs in it and it had to be recalled. Finally, the game was fixed, and much to the appreciation and happiness of gamers, CVS2 came out! Eagle, from the Street Fighter days of yore, joined the all-star CVS cast. Eagle was not the first SF1 character to be implemented into a new fighting game...that honor goes to Adon and Birdie of Street Fighter Zero fame. (Excluding those who went from SF1 to SF2, namely Ryu, Ken, and Sagat.) Gen from SF1 also ended up coming along for the Street Fighter Zero ride in SFZ2, and some say that Mike from SF1 actually is M.Bison, however, I don't think that Capcom would want an African American boxer in a video game named 'Mike Bison,' which sounds surprisingly alike to Mike Tyson. o_O So...who are the new characters? Capcom: Maki (Final Fight) Rolento (Final Fight; Street Fighter Zero series) Kyosuke (Rival Schools) Eagle (Street Fighter 1) Shin Gouki (None) Yun/Yang (Street Fighter 3) SNK: Todo Hibiki (Last Blade Series) Haohmaru (Samurai Showdown Series) Athena (King of Fighters Series) Chang w/Choi Rock God Rugal (None) (Remember...this is the first version! I'm missing a lot of info. -__-) ************************************************************************************************* 2.1-Groove Info ************************************************************************************************* C Groove Eagle can stock up supers (3) quickly and blast em' out. Good for Eagle. A Groove If Variable combos are your thing, you'll feel right at home. P Groove A good 'P' Eagle player can be one tough customer; this groove is for 'parrying.' S Groove Slow power bar. Avoid this one, Eagle players. N Groove How sweet it is! Offensive Eagles gain BIG time here; 3 Stocks, POW MAX...My choice. Air attack. K Groove Defensive groove that I would not suggest for Eagle. (My personal opinions...I can already see the hate mail coming in. =P) ************************************************************************************************* 3.0-Eagle Bio/Info ************************************************************************************************* Eagle first appeared in Street Fighter 1. He was totally redrawn and remade for CVS2, and joins the Capcom side as a new fighter. Eagle uses two sticks, one in each hand. Each stick can deliver devastating blows to Eagle's opponent, and has a unique variety of attacks that will keep your opponent guessing. Eagle does not have any actual kicks whatsoever; all of his attacks are either fist or Stick based. Pros: +Strength. Eagle can dish out damage, care of his weapons. +Variety. With five VERY different attacks, Eagle keeps his opponent guessing. Cons: -Air. Eagle's air game is horrendous. His air attacks reek and doesn't have a fast anti-air. -Size. Eagle is just a tad bit taller than other characters, making him an easier target. ************************************************************************************************* 3.1-Eagle Basic Attacks ************************************************************************************************* (NOTE-Damage calculations was from a C-Groove Ratio 2 Eagle fighting another C-Groove Ratio 2.)
