Each strategy should work for the game on every system. In case you are interested I played through using the Dreamcast. = = = = = = = = = = Spoiler Warning = = = = = = = = = = I will tell certain details that will reveal things you may or may not know about both the Spider-Man game and comic book series. If you don't want to risk learning certain plot twists etc. then do not read this guide. = = = = = = = = = = Bosses = = = = = = = = = = This section will give one or more strategies used to defeat bosses, and a little background info on them. - - - - - - - - - - Scorpion - - - - - - - - - - Max Gargan, now known as Scorpion, has sought out J. Jonah Jameson (also known as JJ or JJJ) owner of The Daily Bugle, and is now attempting to get revenge because JJ forced him into the suit that made him the Scorpion years ago. It's up to Spider-Man to save one of the people who hates him most and his alter-ego's boss. How to beat him: Keep in mind the fact that you have to protect Jameson from Scorpion at all times. If Scorpion kills Jameson it's game over for you. There are three strategies to beat Scorpion: 1) Web him, do your 3-hit kick combo and jump back. He'll try to attack you twice then go back after JJ. Lather, rinse, and repeat. 2) Scorpion will completely ignore you until you attack him so jump kick him from behind do a 3 hit kick combo and run away. Wait about 5 seconds then go back and repeat the same strategy. 3) Do a combination of 1 and 2. This works best Another note is that about halfway through the battle Jameson will run into the other room and Scorpion will follow him. This won't affect the battle much, though. - - - - - - - - - - Rhino - - - - - - - - - - The Rhino is attempting to steal a valuable piece of scientific equipment. At the beginning of the battle it appears Black Cat will be helping Spider-Man however Rhino quickly disposes of her leaving you to deal with him alone. How to Beat: If you pay attention to the intro Stan Lee gives you the hint that he has a "one-track mind". If you try to brawl it out with Rhino he will beat you senseless in seconds flat. Instead get him to charge head first into the barrels and electric generators. Then attack him while he's dazed, jump back and run like hell. Repeat about five times and he should be defeated. - - - - - - - - - - Venom - - - - - - - - - - Venom, Eddie Brock's alter ego, has always had it in for Spider-Man. And when an imposter Spider-Man breaks his camera and ruins valuable pictures Venom gets vengeance on the real one, because he doesn't realize it's a fake. He kidnaps Spidey's beautiful wife, supermodel Mary Jane Parker. To make things worse Venom has gained the ability to become invisible in this game. How to Beat: Venom will become invisible, reappear, say a taunt, and then attack. You need to attack him before he can attack you. I recommend using two shots of your impact web. If you run low on health or webbing you should be able to find some lying around For a good laugh shoot the car with an impact web and Spider-Man will say, "American made!" - - - - - - - - - - Venom (2nd Battle) - - - - - - - - - - Much like in the battle with Scorpion your first priority should be whoever is in danger besides yourself, in this case your wife. Venom will do one of two things. Either attack you or turn on one of four switches to raise the water level bringing Mary Jane even closer to death. Quickly run and turn it off if he does the latter. If he attacks you dodge and shoot him with your impact web just like the last battle. If you run low on health or webbing they should appear randomly around the center area of the level but you have to move quickly to get them. After the battle you will tell Venom that it was an imposter and he will join your side. - - - - - - - - - - Mysterio - - - - - - - - - - "Who wears green and purple together? You clash! "-Spider-Man Mysterio is a master of illusion and apparently the person who framed Spider-Man using his powers of mastery of special effects. How to Beat: There are three levels, four if you count the bottom one. Move from level to level aiming for the large yellow structures on his body. Each one will take two hits and there are a total of 8. Much like the battle with Venom random power-ups will pop up but you have to be very fast to get them. After you take out all the yellow structures he will have two new ones on his chest that shoot lasers and all the lower platforms will be electrified and the top platform will have a moving triangle that will circle around and electrocute you if you touch it. After you take out the two lasers shoot for his crystal ball like head two or three times to finish him off. - - - - - - - - - - Doc Ock - - - - - - - - - - Doctor Octopus appeared to have changed his ways, and become reformed. However it turns out he was behind everything. The strange gas, the symbiote invasion, the imposter Spider-Man, all part of Doc Ock's plans. Right before the battle you will see Venom appear and go after Carnage, leaving you to face Octavius. How to Beat: You have to keep moving in this level, otherwise Octavius will take you out using his arms. Now wait for the large machines at the top of the room to lower down and turn them on. Once you turn all four on his shield will go down and you can attack him. I recommend using your impact web. When Spider-Man says his shield is starting come back up jump back or you will be hit with a devastating counter attack. Repeat this and you will defeat Octavius. Right after the battle you will see Venom thrown through the window he chased Carnage up through and you will have to face Carnage yourself. - - - - - - - - - - Carnage - - - - - - - - - - Cletus Cassady was all ways a dangerous mad man. But when he combined with the symbiote which later became known "Carnage" (rumored to be Venom's offspring) he become an even more serious threat to Spider-Man and the rest of the world. How to Beat: There is a sonic bubble in the middle of the room. Punch him into it, and when it temporarily turns off run in and attack him. If he manages to counter- attack run and pick up one of the health power-ups that should have appeared by now. Repeat this two or three times and Carnage will be finished. Well it appears that Spidey has saved the day. For a few seconds anyway. Next thing you know one of Dr. Octopuses' arms will reach up and strangle you and pull you down. It appears Carnage and Dr. Otto Octavius have merged and have formed what is known as "Monster Ock". - - - - - - - - - - Monster Ock - - - - - - - - - - Monster Ock has the combination of Carnage's raw strength and determination and Doc Ock's steel arms which it will use to catch up to you as quickly as possible. How to Beat: This is the only boss you don't fight. Don't bother with running; jumping or swinging using your webbing is much, much quicker. The meter on the right side of the screen shows your progress along with the numbers on the door. Also Spider-Man will talk about how close you are to the surface when you're near it. When you do reach the surface you have beaten the game. Well, you've beaten the game. Sit back and watch the hilarious ending. = = = = = = = = = = Things Unlocked = = = = = = = = = = Well, you beat the game, so here are some rewards you may or may not have gotten. - - - - - - - - - - Suits - - - - - - - - - - 1) Symbiote Suit- If you beat the game you got this.
