Has come to call." It's been a year plus since my last update for this FAQ. Sorry I never update this for a long time 'coz of Arcades was banned in the country where I stayed that time. So, I can't play KoF2k anymore that time, & somemore KoF2k wasn't released on any console except Neo Geo :( I got no choice but hafta wait for the 'dumped' of the ROMs cart, then I can do my 'research' again... I know by using the ROM & the Emulator without having the original cart nor the console are illegal. But please understand my situation in the country where I lived last time(yes, I was studyin' overseas to Malaysia that time). Now I've came back to my home-country, & the arcades here aren't banned by the government here. Thank God, I can play this game again in the Arcade after almost 2 years suffered of Arcades there. Sorry I've been talkin for too long... SDM = Super Desperation Move(must have 3 power stock MAXIMUM). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The System (facing right) Running Dash : F, F Back Step : B, B Small Jump : tap BU or U or UF Middle Jump : -When running : BU or U or UF or -From standing: D, BU or U or UF Big Jump : Hold BU or U or UF Guard Cancel : when blocking, press WP+WK(needs 1 power stock) Heavy Attack : SP+SK Guard Counter : when blocking, press SP+SK(need 1 power stock) Safe Landing : WP+WK when landing Mid-Air block : BU or B or BD when performing up/backward jump Roll towards : WP + WK Roll backwards : B, WP + WK Striker System : WK+SP(you can call Striker when you do combo, or when u're hit by opponent, there're a lot condition now in KoF2000 allows you to call striker at any time). You can also when you throw your opponent(using B/F + SP/SK). Then you call your striker to hit the opponent(mostly to juggle the opponent) again. But, you need 1 power stock to do this Gain Striker Stock : When you have at least 1 power stock(gained after your power gauge is full). Press Start(taunt) to convert the power stock into striker stock. NOTES: Unlike previous KoF, when u're taunting now, you can't cancel the taunt move that time. Similar to the.provious KoF99 striker system, 1st character only can store max. of 3 stocks, 2nd character can store max. 4 stocks, & the last character can store til 5 stocks. Striker Extra- Attack : When you throw your opponent (a 'grab'-throw such as Ryo's SP throw, Chang's SK throw aren't applied). Press WK+SP when the opponent are still in the air. Your striker will come & juggle them again & you can chain it w/ any moves(such as K' Chain Drive). But you need 1 Striker stock & 1 Power Stock for doin this. Counter Mode : WP+WK+SP(need 2 power stocks + full power bar) When you use this. Your attack hit will be increased and you can perform DM anytime you want. But! even if your Life Bar already flashing red. You can't perform SDM! It'll be the DM form also. Armor Mode : WK+SP+SK(need 2 power stocks + power bar) This is for if you want to berserk your opponent. If your opponent hit you, you still lose your energy, but you won't do recover move from the time, in other words. Candy: Performing Kula's weak-kick attack but moving towards the opponent. -Hidden Strikers: Another Iori(Iori's striker): Comes with Yuri Ori but not overhead the opponent, then perform DP + K move from Iori's 97/98 special move. And then he says something and retreat then. Cool Choi(Choi's striker): Walk towards to the oppoent while slashing 3 slashes. G. Mantle(Ryo's striker): ??? Neo & Geo(Ramon's striker): This 2 people jump in to the stage, stand for about 5 secs. Then they'll explode themselves. Rugal(Kula's striker) : Performs his Slash kick. Saisyu(Kyo's striker): Performs his Serpent Wave. Smart Chang(Chang's striker): Walk towards to the opponent while spinning the 'chain-ball'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Misc. -Notes: All the characters/strikers moves which I wrote the description as ??? doesn't mean that I don't know/never saw it. It's just I'm a bit confused how to describe it. I'll try to fix it in the future. -Iori's bug the B, B + WK still works. -Takuma's bug Koh Ken(distance corner to corner, opponent was about to stand up)then perform Shouran Kyaku still works also. -You can re-form your team if someone challenges you. -You cant choose your win pose anymore... (Unlike previous KoFs, from KoF97-99) -There're some hidden strikers at certain characters (Kyo, Kula, Ramon, Ryo, Chang, Choi, & Iori). To use them, select at alternate striker of these character, & press U, L, L, L, R, R, R, D. The alternate striker now will be changed into new character. As I know, there's no code to change back to the old alternate striker. -Codes to use Kula: (thank's for Ultraman about his info) At the character select screen, highlight these characters while pressing Start button at their place: Whip, Vanessa, Seth, Maxima, K', [?]. Now press up, down. Now Kula is appear in the bottom & you can select her as your character. -Here's some tips easy way to beat Zero from Phantom Flan Flinger Never lose against Zero cheat: Use any characters, but you need to choose Neo & Geo(Hidden striker of Ramon) as your strikers. When the first round begins, call a striker and just keep on moving back. Zero will also move back and start low kicking on the spot. After Neo & Geo explode Zero thinks they're still there and just keeps kicking on the spot. Keep on moving back in the corner and Zero'll just stay there kicking until the round ends. So the round is a draw, but you have two fighters in reserve, so you win. Zero perfect: But - even better: when the timer gets to 2, throw a fireball or dark thrust or whatever you can throw at him. He'll block it and lose one pixel of power, hence, you get a perfect and a straight. This is useful if you just want to see the endings. It works on all levels, including 8.
