Throw(hold forward or back + C/D near opponent) -A normal throw. If you call out your Striker after a throw your opponent will be knocked into the air for an extra hit but this process takes up one Striker stock and one Power stock Throw break(tap any button before being thrown) -Stops a throw dead at its tracks Knockdown attack(CD) -A slow attack that knocks the opponent down(can do it in the air). You can do this while blocking but does almost no damage and costs a powerstock Call Striker(BC) -Calls out your fourth player for assistance Super Desperation Move(motion of a desperation move + AC/BD) -A enhanced version of one of your desperation moves. Each character's SDM does about 50% damage.Requires 3 powerstocks. When done, you will not be able to add anything to your powergauge for a amount of time(i.e.-around 5 seconds) Counter Mode(ABC) -Requires 3 powerstocks. In this mode, you have a certain amount of time in which you are allowed to cancel your special move into a desperation move and you can perform your desperation moves continuously until the time runs out. When done, you will not be able to add anything to your powergauge for a amount of time(ie-around 5 seconds) Armour(I'm from Australia)Mode -Requires 3 powerstocks. In this mode, you have what could be counted as hyper armour from the Vs. series(eg-Juggernant)so you won't be stunned. The time limit on this mode is shorter than Counter Mode. When done, you will not be able to add anything to your powergauge for a amount of time(i.e.-around 5 seconds) Taunt(Start) -Just to get your opponent angry most of the time but this year whenever you taunt,a striker stock will be added if they are less than their total limit. But this also takes up a powerstock and leaves you vulnerable.I've also discovered that if you taunt while in Counter Mode(and maybe Armour Mode too)it will add an extra striker stock but it will decrease the time you have left for the two(?)modes-takes away about the length of a letter(ie the "o" in Counter Mode) --------------------------- 3.Command and Special Moves --------------------------- >Command Moves< Teikuu Drop Kick (down-forward + B) -Ramon will sort of slide downwards with his legs parted together to attack you. This must be blocked low unless comboed into >Special Moves< Tiger Neck Chancery (near opponent, hcf + A/C) -Ramon's best arson,Ramon will grab your opponent and slam them onto the ground Rolling Sobat (dp + B/D) -Ramon will do a mid-air kick, this move's animations looks stunning.Try to use the B version of this because it's faster Flying Body Attack (dp + B/D after the Rolling Sobat) -If you managed to hit your opponent with the Rolling Sobat, you can attempt to use this follow-up which has the animation as the jumping C.When your doing this move don't do it the moment the Rolling Sobat hits, wait until your opponent is just about to hit the ground to do it Somersault (hcf + B/D) -Ramon will pause momentarily before running towards your opponent. If he reaches them he will place one of his foot on their chest and then another on their face before kicking himself away from them. This move is _unblockable_ Feint Step (qcb + A/C, then hold A/C) -When this move is performed,Ramon will walk forward and backwards as long as you hold the button. He will only stop when you release the button. The C version of Feint Step does not attack(if you release the C button he will just stop moving),only the A version attacks. You can use the C version of this to recover faster if your opponent blocked your Standing C into Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B) ------------------- 4.Desperation Moves ------------------- ^=Can be done as a SDM Tiger Spin^ (near opponent, hcbx2 + A/C/AC) -If Ramon manages to grab your opponent,he will spin around their bodies(thus the Spin in Tiger Spin)before slamming them onto the ground. Not only does this DM do a lot of damage, you are also treated with this excellent animation and the sound of a tiger at the end(where the sound came from I don't know). The SDM version is an extended version with two Tiger Neck Chancery and then followed by the spinning and the tiger howl El Diablo Amarillo Ramon (qcf, hcb + B/D) -Ramon will run forward and if he hits he will do a series of attacks --------------- 5.Striker Moves --------------- Ramon-When Ramon lands,he will wait a moment before running forward. If he makes contact with your opponent(not blocked)he will do his El Diablo Amarillo Ramon DM.Ramon is quite good since he can off the ground your opponents(like Striker Joe) Duke-Duke will start walking towards your opponent, when he's in range we will wait a minute before doing an anti-air attack Neo and Geo(Dark Striker,To use them place the cursor on Duke and move the joystick up,leftx3,rightx3,down) -When these guys land, they will start a count down with their fingers(5,4,3 etc).Once the count down reaches zero they will explode and if your opponent is in range they will be blown up leaving you a juggle. These guys can off the ground too -------- 6.Combos -------- Standard procedure,I'm not going to add any Striker combos(just solo combos)because there's just too many of them but if you send one to me I'll post it up and give you full credit *=Optional 1.Jump C/D*, Standing C, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), follow with -Tiger Neck Chancery(near opp, hcf + A/C) -B version Rolling Sobat(dp + B), Flying Body Attack(dp + B/D) -B version Somersault(hcf + B) -Tiger Spin(near opp, hcbx2 + A/C/AC) -El Diablo Amarillo Ramon(qcb, hcf + B/D) -C version Feint Step(qcb + C)(Note that you can do this if your opponent blocked your Teikuu Drop Kick, fast recovery) 2.(With opponent in corner) Jump C/D*, Standing C, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), C version Feint Step(qcb + C), run up to opponent, Standing C, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), C version Feint Step(qcb + C), run up to opponent, Standing C, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), C version Feint Step(qcb + C)...you get the point Note-When you do the Feint Step you must not press it too hard, just tap the C button else the opponent might be out of hit stun by the time you run up to them. This might apply to the Counter Mode combo listed on the S-Team Combos section below --------------- 7.S-Team Combos --------------- These are combos seen in the S-Team combo movies, which were these two very big(71mb and 35mb)Divx files(they came from a VCD full of combos made by this Hong Kong games magazine called "Game Weekly").I decided to add this section for those who can't see them(due to the requirements of the Divx codec)or just couldn't be bothered to download them. The combos are listed as exactly how it was done in the movies.Enjoy 1.(In Counter Mode and opponent in corner) Standing A, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), Standing A, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), Standing A, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), Standing A, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), Standing A, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), A version Feint Step(qcb + A) 2.(Full Power Gauge and opponent in corner) Jump D, Standing C, Teikuu Drop Kick(down-forward + B), SDM Tiger Spin(hcbx2 + AC) --------- 8.Credits --------- I would like thank the following people with their help in creating this FAQ(in no particular order): CJayC: -For hosting my FAQ (www.gamefaqs.com) Vincent Chua -Many more combos for Ramon and others at his site.If your interested in finding out stuff about the KOF2000 Hong Kong comics this site is the best for that (www.kofonline.com) Chris MacDonald(Kao Megura) -Always an inspiration for FAQ writers everywhere. Also got Ramon's moves' names from his FAQ (i.am/kao) White Tower Team -A site with tones of combos for various fighting games.
