HE'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD SCIENTIST Mega Man, once again you must save the world, because Dr. Wily just won't stop! This time the unbelievably insane scientist has restored eight of the Robot Masters you previously mashed into metal marmalade. Four of them--Ice Man, Elec Man, Cut Man and Fire Man--are running wild and tearing up the town. Those are the nice ones! Another four--Quick Man, Heat Man, Bubble Man, and Flash Man--are lurking in Dr. Wily's complex, with a factory-full of industrial-strength robot smashers that you won't believe! But that's nothing compared to what you'll face in Dr. Wily's Space Node. So load up the Plasma Cannon, Mega Man. It's time to get the lead out! =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= =~ 3) CONTROLS ~= =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= This section describes the basic controls. Can cause multiple hits if used correctly. ----------------- Thunder Beam (EL) ----------------- Received From: Elec Man Three waves of electricity are fired up, down, and forward at once. ---------------- Ice Slasher (IC) ---------------- Received From: Ice Man Just shoots ice that is shaped like a spear. --------------- Fire Storm (FI) --------------- Received From: Fire Man Launches a fireball forward while creating a shield of flames for a few seconds. ---------- Carry (CA) ---------- Received From: N/A Not really a weapon. Creates a platform that you use to reach higher ledges. ---------------- Atomic Fire (HE) ---------------- Received From: Heat Man Can be charged to one of three levels. The higher the level, the more damage is caused, but more energy is used. ----------------- Time Stopper (FL) ----------------- Received From: Flash Man The screen starts to "sparkle," and freezes some enemies until the weapon's energy runs out. -------------------- Quick Boomerang (QU) -------------------- Received From: Quick Man Fire up to three boomerangs that come back at you. Hold down the fire button to keep on attacking. This weapon uses very little weapon energy. ---------------- Bubble Lead (BU) ---------------- Received From: Bubble Man Fires a bubble. Amazing, isn't it? :) ------------------ Mirror Buster (EN) ------------------ Received From: Enker When you use the Mirror Buster, a shield appears in front of you. When an enemy hits you with an attack, the shield reflects the attack and creates a small spear to hit the enemy. =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= =~ 5) BOSS STRATEGIES ~= =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= Here are tips on the bosses... <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> <<< [5.1] BOSS ORDER >>> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is my suggested order for taking on the Robot Masters. Group 1 ------- 1. Fire Man 2. Cut Man 3. Elec Man 4. Ice Man Group 2 ------- 1. Flash Man 2. Quick Man 3. Bubble Man 4. Heat Man <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> <<< [5.2] TELEPORTER LAYOUT >>> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is a "map" of the teleporter room you encounter in Dr. Wily's castle. ___ ___ | | | | 1. Quick Man | 1 | | 4 | 2. Flash Man |___| ___ |___| 3. Heat Man | | | | | | 4. Bubble Man | 2 | | 5 | | 3 | 5. Enker |___| |___| |___| <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> <<< [5.3] ROBOT MASTERS >>> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> -------- Fire Man -------- Recommended Weapon: Arm Cannon (P) / Ice Slasher (IC) Weapon Received: Fire Storm (FI) Fire Man is easy even with the Arm Cannon! Once he starts to shoot walls of fire at you, just jump over them. Then when you land shoot him once. This process will keep repeating so it shouldn't be too difficult. ------- Cut Man ------- Recommended Weapon: Fire Storm (FI) Weapon Received: Rolling Cutter (CU) This guy can be a pain since he jumps around so much. When Cut Man launches a Rolling Cutter at you, just jump over it and jump over it again once he comes back. When you use Fire Storm, try to make Cut Man get hit by the fire shield to cause extra damage. -------- Elec Man -------- Recommended Weapon(s): Rolling Cutter (CU) Weapon Received: Thunder Beam (EL) Using the Rolling Cutter, fire it once, it should be able to hit Elec Man twice, which will decrease most of his energy meter. Fire it one more time to defeat him. ------- Ice Man ------- Recommended Weapon(s): Thunder Beam (EL) Weapon Received: Ice Slasher (IC) With the Thunder Beam, fire it three times to defeat Ice Man! --------- Flash Man --------- Recommended Weapon(s): Arm Cannon (P) & Ice Slasher (IC) / Atomic Fire (HE) Weapon Received: Time Stopper (FL) Not much about this guy... When he uses Time Stopper, he'll shoot a shower of pellets at you, so try to get over him if you can. Just use Ice Slasher or the Arm Cannon if you run out of weapon energy. --------- Quick Man --------- Recommended Weapon(s): Time Stopper (FL) & Atomic Fire (HE) Weapon Received: Quick Boomerang (QU) When this battle starts, use Time Stopper to freeze him. After all of its weapon energy is gone, about 1/2 of Quick Man's energy will be depleted. Then charge up Atomic Fire to the maximum level, fire it and Quick Man will be finished off! ---------- Bubble Man ---------- Recommended Weapon(s): Quick Boomerang (QU) Weapon Received: Bubble Lead (BU) Not a whole lot to say about this guy. Since Quick Boomerang doesn't use much energy, you can just hold down the fire button. Also, the boomerangs move in a circular motion so that can help when trying to hit him. -------- Heat Man -------- Recommended Weapon(s): Bubble Lead (BU) Weapon Received: Atomic Fire (HE) With Bubble Lead, he's simple! As soon as this starts, shoot a bubble at him. Then he'll teleport to your location. When he stops, shoot him again. This way he won't be able to hit you! Keep repeating, and you shouldn't have much trouble. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> <<< [5.4] DR. WILY >>> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ----- Enker ----- Recommended Weapon(s): Arm Cannon (only weapon that damages him) Weapon Received: Mirror Buster (EN) This boss is really strange. When Enker raises his sword, you attacks will be directed to it like a magnet. Then after a couple of seconds, he will fire an attack. The size of the attack will vary depending on how damage he absorbs from your shots. If you shoot him a lot, the attack will be harder to dodge than if you just hit him once. ------------ Wily Boss #1 ------------ Recommended Weapon(s): Atomic Fire (HE) This boss can be a little difficult. Once the battle begins, the mouth of the robot will open...launching Cutting Blades at random places. To make this a bit easier, try to stand in the middle of the space between the wall and the boss. When the enemies go high, walk under them. For the low ones, jump over them. Some are hard to dodge because they may launch straight at you. Try to charge Atomic Fire at the third level, but if you don't have the time use one shot. Remember that each small shot from Atomic Fire will cause two notches worth of damage. ------------ Wily Boss #2 ------------ Recommended Weapon(s): Mirror Buster (EN) This one is easy considering he's the final boss! When the robot fires a small laser, use the Mirror Buster to reflect it back. To dodge the claw that attacks at certain times, get close to the robot and move back once it starts to move. Then when you're back far enough, use the Mirror Buster. =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= =~ 6) PASSWORDS ~= =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= This section lists several passwords for your use. ---------------- Cut Man Defeated ---------------- A4 - B3 - C4 - D3 - D4 ---------------- Ice Man Defeated ---------------- A1 - A2 - B2 - B3 - D4 ----------------- Elec Man Defeated ----------------- A2 - A4 - B3 - D1 - D2 ----------------- Fire Man Defeated ----------------- A1 - B1 - B2 - C4 - D2 ---------- Wily Stage ---------- A1 - A3 - B4 - C2 - C3 =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= =~ 7) GAME GENIE CODES ~= =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= This section contains codes used for the Game Genie cheating device. 218-3E9-E61 -- Cannot die (switch off if you're stuck) A72-05B-A28 -- Infinite weapon energy =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= =~ 8) GAMESHARK CODES ~= =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= This section contains codes for the GameShark cheating device. 01A0A3DF -- Infinite energy 010A08C1 -- Infinite lives 01FFA1DF -- Have CU, EL, IC, FI, CA, HE, FL 01FFA2DF -- Have QU, BU, EN 01A0A3DF -- Infinite CU energy 01A0A4DF -- Infinite EL energy 01A0A6DF -- Infinite IC energy 01A0A7DF -- Infinite FI energy 01A0A8DF -- Infinite CA energy 01A0A9DF -- Infinite HE energy 01A0AADF -- Infinite FL energy 01A0ABDF -- Infinite QU energy 01A0ACDF -- Infinite BU energy 01A0ADDF -- Infinite EN energy =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= =~ 9) CONTACT / LEGAL INFORMATION ~= =~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~= --------------------- Copyright Information --------------------- (c) Copyright 2001-2004 Ryan "MetroidMoo" Ammerman This FAQ cannot be distributed in books, magazines, etc. or in any other form of printed or electronic media (CDs, etc.) in any way.
