It is good online due to being only one back (No P/R glitch). I have about 4 passing plays I use frequently from this formation: ---PA Switch Corner---$$ Good for a long gain, especially after establishing the run. Main Route: /\ (Primary) ---Bunch Fade--- Great goal line (20 yards and in) play with good precision passing. Main Route: O (Primary) ---PA Boot Over--- Great online. After running plays that are on the side of the three WR's, one that changes direction is great. Main Route: /\ (Non-Primary) ---Slants Slot Flat--- Great with a good TE. If not, put in the "ALL WR's" Package for more speed. Main Route: R1 (Primary) -*Shotgun: 2RB 3WR*- This is the only Shotgun formation in the whole playbook, but there are some great plays. Very effective if you use the Package "Dual HB". ---HB Screen--- Focus on O (Left). Motion O right. Drop back 3-4 steps. Drop it of to the RB (L1) w/o putting the cone on him. Follow blockers. It s that easy. Main Route: O (But throw to L1 for the screen) Deep Outs Make sure you either have the cone on nobody, or on the WR on the short side of the field (Whichever Hashmark you are closest to). This way you can QUICKLY change to the opposite side of the field tot he out. Also, if the RB is on an LB, the outs spread the safetys well enough to let you lob it up to your RB. Main Route: [] or O (Whoever has more field to run with) ---Fk WR Screen Wheel--- This play works well about 50% of the time. THe only down side is the time you need the OL to block for. Dont worry about moving the cone around, just keep it on /\. If you have time, a pump helps alot. Main Route: /\ (Primary) ---Slot Cross---$$ This play is unstoppable if you are smart. Mostly used for short yardage, this play has potential to go for a lot. The [] runs a fade, only look at him if he is single covered. The O runs an in, which, with a good WR and a high throw right off his cut can be a 1st down. The big three routes are the quick slant and the two flats. Put your cone on the slot (/\) and be ready to throw it to him if he has any space. If you notice one of the RB's out of the backfield has no zone near him, or LB following him, gun it to him and look to make a play. Main Route: /\ (Primary) ============================================================================= Run Ballanced by Ken FosS Strengths: -has every run play you will ever need -Effective 3TE and 3Back sets -perfect playbook for teams with only 1 good WR -has Shotgun set from both 2RB 3WR and Normal packages -has effective crossing routes for slower WRs -Perfect playbook for players new to the game(or the cone) Weaknesses: -Needs 2 Good RBs and 2-3good TEs (TB and KC) -Needs a good to great O-line -great Qbs have no use here - Requires a Dominant RB (duh) -needs a good RB player PASSING:B RUSHING:A+ OVERALL: A- Formations to watch for: {-*Full House Weak*-} Online this formation is infuriating to try to stop. you have a #2 RB and a fullback lined up parrallel 2 yards in front your Back and 1TE and 1 WR set up on the strong side. Its so ingenius that every single play has a chance to go to the house with exacution. Rushing --_Full House Weak HB slam to the left_--$$ this ones easy just fallow your FB to the hole. stay insde the CB and cut up field and get a minimum of 5yrds. Note: dont use this during 3rd down and short. Passing --_Full House Strong PA WR Corner_--$$ this one takes some D reading if there creeping up on the line just call this bad boy. snap the ball and throw the ball with some touch off of the WRs Break. Primary Route: WR Sideline Post Secondary option:TE Middle IN Third option: throw away or scramble. =========================================================================== Pass balanced BY MavericksFan Strengths: -Great passing plays -Great for all type of recievers -Makes it easy to spread the ball -Great mix of short quick pass plays and deep ones. -Has some good running plays -Quite a Few Money Plays -Can be used with any QB -Has alot of option plays Weaknesses: -Doesn't have enough running formations/plays -Not enough PA passes -Sort've hard to get used to at first. -Isn't the best for those who like to run 2/3 times. PASSING: A+++ RUSHING: B- OVERALL: A Formations to watch for: ShotGun trips- Almost impossible to stop. Best used when you need to get upfield quick since it's mostly deep plays. Singleback 4wr Spread: One of the easiest formations for passing. Very good against the blitz since there's space between the recievers and you can usually get one on one coverage. -I formation Normal: Perfect balance of Run and Pass plays. If you want a long drive up the field you'll find the right plays here. -Shot Gun 3 Wide 2 RB: Has slants, screens, and my favorite double slants. Can confuse the defense easily. ============================================================================= **New England Patriots** by RALLO Strengths: - Tons of passing plays - Works with the TE's - A couple of trick plays(flea flicker anyone?) - 3, 4, and 5 receiver formations Weakness: - Not enough running formations - Most running plays go straight up the middle - You need some good offensive linemen to protect, until your WR's complete their routes Passing - A+ Rushing - C+ Overall - B+ Formations To Watch: Shotgun 5 WR - Self explanatory. Hope your opponents have good DB's! It seems there is always one WR open. Slants, curls, outs, all at your choosing. I-Form Big - Not the best formation. Has a couple of counter runs and playactions, but the flea-flicker is what you need to watch out for here. Singleback 4WR - Nice passing plays, pretty good reciever routes. If you've been torching a defense and they think you are about to pass, use "HB Dive" and burst up the middle. Bottom Line - I love this playbook. I can bypass the semi-weak running game with some nice passing. Having good TE's is a nice bonus, because if you utilize them well, they will go to the Pro Bowl. If you like to play smashmouth football, I recommend the RUN BALANCED playbook posted above. ============================================================================ Balanced BY StubbyTheTrojan Breakdown: Passing - A Rushing - A- Overall - A- Pros - There is a good mix of passing and running plays, and spreading the field isnt that much of a problem. Cons - You need Decent WRs, TEs, and RB. RBs need some speed for counters or Power for the Dives and Slams. WRs need to either have good jump for long balls, or speed to spread the field. Your QB is gonna need power to throw that long ball. TE needs to be a good Receiver, or blocker depending on if you run or pass. Singleback Trips Bunch See Oakland. Split Backs 3 WR Good Crossing routes, plus 2 backs to hit in the flats or change to block if its a blitz. Strong I Twin WR Good runs set up the play action and you can use a cross route. Easy to confuse people if you use I form Normal Twin WR Shotgun Slot Strong TE Flip Many routes to send your WRs on, and with otion you can confuse the defense very easy. Add in a running play to the weak side and you got them beat after the pass is set up. ============================================================================ **Philadelphia Eagles**(Andy Reid) BY RALLO PROS: - Some nice trick plays, running and passing. - TE's will get their share of the ball. - Good for Power RB's - Conservative players should like this - Utilizes the short pass CONS: - No shotgun formations - Not good if you have more than 2 good WR's - Not enough GOOD running plays - Must have good O-line or get blitzed SINGLEBACK- BIG (2TE, 2WR, 1RB) Flea Flicker - Trick play. HB gets handoff from QB and fakes a run. HB then tosses back to the QB for a pass. WR's are streaking, while the TE on the left sides runs a slant to the left. If timed right, you can get a monster gain. Double Drag - Both TE's run a slant left, while the WR's cut short to the inside. Stay away from the WR's, it gets to crowded in the middle. Use the TE's on this play. The rest of the plays are a few Play Action plays, and a couple of basic runs up the middle. SINGLEBACK- NORMAL (3WR, 1TE, 1WR 1HB) PA Deep In - 2WR run deep outs. the TE posts inside left, and the other left WR runs a short box to the right. Decent medium range play. Just don't keep abusing this play. The computer catches on fast. WR Reverse Pass - Another Trick play. QB tosses to the HB running left. HB hands off to the left side WR, who 's running around to the right. You can either run the ball with the WR, or throw a pass. Very dangerous if you don't react quickly. Veterans of Madden can pull this off if they know what they are doing. FL Reverse - Left WR gets handoff from the HB, who's running left. No passing here, so you better have a speedy WR. Dangerous! See above. HB Pitch - Simple pitch to the HB going left. Don't turbo right away, follow your blockers first, then burn rubber. The rest are Simple short range passes and a few basic runs. HB Dive, Counter, Stretch, and Draw. If your a consertive player, you'll be using this set the most. SINGLEBACK SLOT STRONG - (3WR,1TE, 1HB) PA Cross Up - Play action pass play. 2 WR's and the TE run slants, while the right side reciever runs a short curl. You should be able to get a man open on this play. Watch out for the blitz. Safety Bait - WR on the left side does a short curl. The TE and 2 right side WR's criss cross. If you a quick, you can catch a WR in stride. Stay away from the left side WR, the CB usually gets in front of the ball if thrown that way. A couple of other weak play action plays and the basic counter, stretch and draw runs finish this set. There's a short screen play too. SINGLEBACK TRIPS BUNCH (3WR, 1TE 1HB) PA Draw Pass - TE runs deep post slightly left. Everyone else runs short routes. Only meant for the TE, if he's good. Smash Slot Post - Left side WR runs short left. TE short post in. WR in the middle of the bunch slants. WR on the far right waits for the immediate screen pass. How about a floater to that middle WR? Again, a couple of play action passes, HB Pitch right and a couple of basic runs are left here. SINGLEBACK WR FLEX - (4WR, 1RB) Hail Mary - Everyone Streaks straight downfield. Hope you have good WR's. HB Screen - Basic screen pass play. Better get rid of the ball fast or you'll be eatin' turf. A playaction cross play, a couple of short slant plays, and your basic running plays end this setup. I expected a lot more from this formation. SINGLEBACK TRIPS WR - (1WR left, 3WR right, 1HB) Comebacks - Outside WR's streak downfield then sharply curl to the sidelines. Inside right WR runs a short slant to the left. Accuracy is important on this play. WR Hook Out - 3WR run short routes left. Middle right WR screens right. You should lead your recievers, otherwise the ball will be deflected. This set finishes with a couple of corny short cross pass plays. Of course, there's another play action too. SINGLEBACK EMPTY 5 WR (5WR - Duh!) Slot Angle Post - 2 WR's run slants to the left. the other 3 WR's run shorter screens to the left. Look for the inside WR to break deep. Smashfork - 2 WR run medium posts to the inside left. 2 other WR's run very short cuts to the right. Avoid these right side guys. The middle right WR slant crosses to the right sideline. Cheap play, but effective. You should have at least 3 options to throw to. A couple more short slant and cross passes. Needs better plays IMO. -FORM 3 WR - (same as above, just 3 WR's now.) Flats - 3 WR's deep both backs screen to opposite sides. Utilize the WR slanting in towards the left, or screen pass to your backs. Good Play. FB Flare - FB screens right. Left WR cuts sharply to the right as well. The right side WR criss crosses. Someone will be open, will you see them? Round this set off with a couple of runs up the middle. and a few other weak pass plays. I-FORM TWIN TE - (2TE, 1 WR, 1FB,1HB) Not much worth mentioning here. A few basic run plays and a couple of play action short passes. Pretty weak. SPLITBACKS-3WR - (2WR, 1FB, 1HB) Slot Cross - Plain type of play. HB screens left. Hit the WR on a quick slant or cross in. Nothing more really. An option pass and a screen play. A couple of weak runs up the middle. SPLITBACKS NORMAL - (Same as above, 2WR's instead) TE Post - Basic post pass toward the left. Right side WR goes deep. FB screens right. Easy play to pull off. Nothing else worth mentioning here. SPLITBACKS-TWIN WR - (Same as above. Both WR's left) Very similiar plays as the above. Your not missing anything new. STRONG I-NORMAL, STRONG I-3WR, STRONG I-JUMBO Only short pass plays, nothing big. Basic running plays. WEAK I-NORMAL, WEAK I-TWINS WR, WEAK I-TWIN TE Again, weak boring plays. It seems the developpers got tired before completion, and just threw in any ol' plays. NEAR-NORMAL, NEAR_3WR See above. PASSING- B- RUNNING- C+ OVERALL - B If it wasn't for the handful of trick run plays, the grade would have been lower. Decent medium range passes. Lots and lots of curls and short hooks. Too many run plays up the middle. Utilizes the TE's. Lack of deep passing to boost WR stats.. ============================================================================= San Diego Chargers - Marty Schottenheimer PROS: - Good for that 1 featured Running Back - Utilizes the star Tight End - Utilizes time of possession - Tons of play action pass plays CONS: - Not enough deep pass plays - Way too conservative - A lot of the same type plays - Vulnerable to the blitz - Tons of play action pass plays SINGLEBACK-BIG (2WR, 1RB, 2TE) PA Deep In - Play action pass play. Right WR does a 10 yard curl to the sideline. The left WR does a short box cut to the inside right. The left TE criss crosses with the left WR, then breaks deep. The right TE does a slant towards the middle. Nice play, hit the TE on the slant. Flea Flicker - Trick Play, one of my favorites. QB hands off to the HB going up the middle. HB then tosses the ball back to the QB for a pass.If you have speedy WR's, then look for the right WR going deep. If not, scramble a little to the right side and hit the left WR cutting across the middle. Cross Up - Both WR's do very short cuts to the inside. Avoid them. Both TE's go deep, try hitting them instead...IF they are any good. The rest of this set has your basic running plays, HB Pitch, toss, and counter. there is also a screen and a play action pass.. SINGLEBACK-TWIN TE (2WR, 2TE BUNCHED RIGHT, 1HB) TE Stick - Simple play. Everyone does a very short cut, except the right WR.This guy slants deep to the inside left. Throw to him only. The rest aren't worth the short yardage. Of course if you set your audibles to your profile, you could send your recievers anywhere you want. WR Option - Another simple play. The 2 WR's go short. Although this play is meant for the left WR, avoid him. Both TE's criss cross eachother deep. One going straight, while the other goes toward the right sideline. Hit the TE going towards the sideline. The rest of the plays consist of 2 more play action passes and your basic HB dive, draw, toss and counter runs. SINGLEBACK-TWIN TE WR (2WR LEFT, 2TE RIGHT, 1HB) This set is basically the same as above. What a waste..... SINGLEBACK-NORMAL SLOT (2WR, 1TE 1HB) Quick Hits - Both left and right WR's run short curls in, avoid them. The inside left WR streaks deep, while the TE does a short slant to the inside left. I was able to hit the TE at will, on this play. WR deep hook - The 2 left WR's criss cross short. The TE does a deep slant to the middle left of the field. The right WR does a comeback curl to the inside. Use the TE on this play, unless you need 3-5 yards for the first down - then hit the right WR instead. Ins Left - The left WR does a box cut to the inside. The right WR does a fake curl in, then breaks deep. If the opposing DB's are slow, this guy will burn 'em. The TE does a deep slant to the inside. The TE keeps getting open on the slant..I'm sensing a pattern here. This series finishes up with a few short passing plays, along with the HB cutback, sprint, sweep and draw runs. Okay package I guess. SINGLEBACK-SLOT STRONG (2WR, 2TE BUNCHED RIGHT, 1HB) Drive - Left WR streaks downfield. The rest of the recievers are on the right, and they all cut to the inside left. Be careful of the TE cutting inside, you could get picked off, if you don't time it correctly. PA Cross Up - Lefdt WR goes deep slant right. TE cuts middle left. The inside right reciever slants towards the sideline, while the far right WR does a short curl in. Take your pick, someone's gonna get open. Throw it away if you get blitzed. There's another weak play action and a couple of corny short passing plays. Also a few weak runs, HB dive, draw and slam SINGLEBACK-BASE FLEX (4WR, 1HB) Flood - Conservative play. Left WR streaks downfield. Inside left WR does a 5 yard cut across the right. Leave him alone. The inside right WR slants to the sideline. I'd throw to this guy. The far right WR does a short curl. If you want to trick your opponent, you could also screen pass to your HB. If you have good blocking, your HB can get you some nice yardage. Flanker Post - Money play. Almost the same as the "Flood" above. Hit only the inside left WR or far right WR. They both do slants to the left. I was hitting them both at will. Accuracy is important here. The rest are some short post plays, a couple more play actions, and the basic HB runs....Pitch, Draw, and Dive. I expected a whole lot more from this set.. SINGLEBACK-4WR SPREAD (4WR, 1HB) Double Smash - Only the 2 inside WR's are targets on this play. They both do deep slants to opposite sides of the field. The rest of these plays suck! I am totally disappointed here. Even the "WR Deep Outs" play, is a short weak passing play! A couple more short corny passes and 3 weak runs..Draw, dive, and cutback. Booooo! SINGLEBACK-FLIP TRIPS (2WR, 2TE, 1HB) Inside Hook - Left WR does a medium cut to the right. Inside left TE runs a screen route. The far right WR screens as well. The middle right reciever slants to the right sideline, I'd throw to him. HB Counter Trap - HB starts left, but runs right instead. Good blocking is essential here. Don't turbo until your teammates pick up their blocks. Thats it...What a gyp. The rest of the plays include short passing plays that suck, along with the basic HB Draw, and slam up the middle. I'm starting to dislike this playbook. I need a drink. SINGLEBACK-TREY OPEN (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) Inside Shake - Left WR streaks. TE does a short inside left slant. The middle right WR does the same. The far right WR breaks deep. Hit your streaking recievers if they are fast enough. PA Streak - Another play action pass. Left WR does a slant all the way right across the middle. The TE boxes in 10 yards to the right sideline. The middle right WR short slants in, while the far right WR streaks. You can't always throw the long bomb, so look for the TE towards the sideline. This set finishes up with a couple of short to medium pass plays where only 1 WR gets open. Add in the HB counter, slam, and draw running plays. I FORM-NORMAL (2WR, 1TE, 1HB, 1FB) Cross - In - Short pass play. Look for the right WR hooking in, or screen to the HB going right. WR Post - I generally use this play for screen passes to the HB and FB. The right WR does a deep slant to the inside left. You can throw to him if you are not double teamed. HB Pass - Trick play. QB tosses right, to the HB. The HB can either run or pass. If you pass, you only have 2WR at your disposal, since the TE blocks on this play. Don't make the mistake of audibling the TE for a pass, because you will get blitzed for not having enough blockers on the line of scrimmage. Scramble directly a few steps to the right, and hit the reciever coming from the left across the field. If the right WR has enough speed, he might burn the DB, so keep a sharp eye on him too. The rest are medium conservative pass plays, along with the usual runs up the middle. I FORM-TWIN TE/ I FORM TWIN WR Both of these are weak formations. Nothing worth looking at IMO... SPLITBACKS-3WR (1HB, 1FB, 3WR) Drag-In - Left WR slants inside right. The inside right WR does the same. Look for one of these 2 guys. You can also screen to your HB. Mediocre play at best. A couple of ho-hum short pass plays. HB draw, smash and a FB blast running plays. This formation is deceiving..for the worst. Running is difficult because there are no lead blockers. Created playbooks....Where are you? STRONG I-NORMAL (2WR, 1HB, 1FB, 1TE) I use this setup mainly for running plays, because the passing stinks. Switch up between the HB Counter Weak, and the HB Off Tackle runs. Don't use this formation back to back, or else you'll get blitzed. STRONG I-TWIN WR (Same as above, except both WR's are on the left) WR Smash - The TE and inside left WR slant in opposite directions. These are your targets. The FB streaks up the middle. You can also screen pass to the HB. Okay play. 2 more play action passes and several running plays round up this set. STRONG I-NORMAL FLEX/STRONG I-TWIN TE Lots of play action passes and your basic run plays...Just run when you use these corny formations. WEAK I-NORMAL/WEAK I-CLOSE See the STRONG I above. Pretty much the same....Boring! SHOTGUN-2RB FLEX (2WR, 1TE, 2RB) Corner Flats Under - Left WR drags left towards the sideline. TE does a short cut to the inside left. The right WR drags to the right sideline. Both RB's screen to the opposite sides. Use the TE, or screen to the RB's. You need to be very accurate if using the WR's. Thats It?! Geez, another wasted formation. Only 1 running play-The Draw, so why have 2RB's then? SHOTGUN 2RB 3WR This is absolutely terrible....**Takes a couple of shots of vodka** SHOTGUN- 4WR (4WR, 1RB) Hail Mary - Chicks dig the long ball....... Charger Cross - Left outside RB short crosses right. Inside left WR slants to the right sideline. Throw to this guy. Inside right WR deep slants slightly left. If you lead the pass, you could hit this guy too. Or maybe a screen to the HB? Finishing this set are a couple of medium pass plays, an HB sweep and draw. SHOTGUN 2RB FLEX **Takes 2 more drinks and puts hand on forehead** Unbelievably stupid...I can't believe how frustrated I got over this one. The developers probably had their interns do the work while they had their liquid lunches. GRADE: RUNNING - B- PASSING - C+ OVERALL - C+ This playbook is boring. It's not good if you have several good recievers, because the most of the plays are short routes and have them going over the middle, causing several key injuries. Also, not a lot of deep pass plays either. Very vulnerable to the blitz. I suggest veterans of this game use this playbook to control the clock against your opponents. If you have a standout RB such as LT, then you'll be one of the top 5 RB's at season's end. So if you want some fun plays with a good team....Choose another playbook. ============================================================================ JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS - Jack Del Rio **By Rallo** SINGLEBACK BIG - ( 2WR, 1HB, 2TE) SE Post - Left WR goes deep slant. Right WR streaks downfield. Both TE's run left slant routes. Look for the left TE headed toward the sideline. Good play. Flea Flicker - Trick play. QB hands off to the HB up the middle. HB then tosses back to the QB for the pass. Big yards await if you have speedy recievers. Look for the left WR running across the field. Ace Drag - Left WR streaks downfield. Right WR goes deep slant to the left. Both TE's go short crosses over the middle. Hit that right WR on the slant. This set finishes up with a play action pass, a couple of other decent medium pass plays, and some good running plays - HB Pitch, draw, counter, stretch, and dive.. SINGLEBACK-TWIN TE WR - (2WR LEFT, 2TE RIGHT, 1HB) Hitch Corners - The inside left WR runs a left slant to the sideline. The inside right TE slants to the right sideline. These two are your targets. You could also audible your other 2 recievers to go deep, ensuring that you free up your targets...Also giving you 2 more pass options as well. TE Shake - Both TE's do short stutter-step type moves to the middle. Avoid them, because they are the help clutter up the middle, cutting off a couple of defenders. The far left WR starts to the inside, then cuts to the outside. While the inside left WR does a short slant in. Be quick, and hit that inside WR, or just screen pass to the HB. This set finishes up with 2 more short play action passes, and some decent runs - HB pitch, counter, dive and draw to both sides of the field. SINGLEBACK-BIG 3 TE - (3TE, 1WR, 1HB) TE Corners - Left TE and inside right TE do slants to the opposite sides of the field. The WR does a nice slant/drag move deep towards the middle. Hit any one of these 3. The far right TE does o short box to the inside left. Avoid him, to much clutter in the middle. Pretty nice play. PA FL Stretch - Nice play action pass play. The left TE and outside right TE do slants to the right. The WR streaks. The inside right TE does a screen to the right. Lead your slanting recievers, you should be able to hit at least one of them. If the blitz comes, quickly get to the inside TE on the screen. 2 more play action passes, and two more decent medium range pass plays, combined with HB smash, plunge, counter and power finish of this set. Definitely utilize the TE's on this formation. SINGLEBACK-NORMAL SLOT - (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) Slot Cross - Far left WR goes deep slant in. Left WR cuts all the way across the field to the right. Te blocks then runs downfield. Right WR streaks. If you have speedy WR's, you can lob to the ones going deep, but I kept getting blitzed, so scramble a few yards to the right, and lead a pass to the WR cutting all the way across the middle of the field. Cross Up - Almost the exact play as the above, except the play is "flipped" to the opposite side this time. Same rules apply, with the addition of a screen to the HB. FL Middle - Both left WR's criss-cross, then go deep. The right WR goes 5 yards then cuts to the middle. gently lob the ball over the defenders if using him. Otherwise, look for your WR's deep. You can screen to the HB too. There's a couple more short play action plays, and some medium range pass plays as well. Can't forget the HB cutback, draw, counter, stretch, slam and dive. SINGLEBACK 4 WR SPREAD - (4WR, 1HB) Strike Post - All 4 WR's cut to the inside. 1 short, 1 medium, 2 long. You have to scramble a little, and lead the passes to your recievers. If you bullet pass they will drop the ball more often than catch. Accuracy is a must, otherwise you'll get picked off. Keep your eye on the left WR going deep. Lastly, watch the blitz, because your recievers take a while to finish their routes. PA HB Out - The 2 outer WR's streak. The 2 inside WR's slant left. Take your pick here, just be very careful if throwing to the HB in the middle. WR Option(Taylor Option) - The inside left WR and outside right WR both streak downfield. The far left WR does a very short curl, so avoid him. The inside right WR does a deep slant inside. I was able to throw strikes to this guy at will. A couple more decent pass plays, 2 more play action passes, and HB counter, dive, cutback, draw and pitch remain in this set. SINGLEBACK- EMPTY 4 WR Slot Corners - The far left and far right WR's do very short curls in. Look for the other 2 WR's running deep slants towards opposite sidelines. Very simple but effective pass play. TE Post - Same as above, except the inside WR's streak. Believe it or not, all of the other pass plays are pretty much the same, except the recievers run shorter routes. There's a quick screen play, but you will get blitzed every time. If you are into stats, you can get all your recievers involved here. I FORM-NORMAL - (2WR, 1TE, 1HB, 1FB) Flats - One of my favorites. The WR's both streak. The TE does a short box move left toward the middle. Use caution if throwing to him. The FB and HB screen to opposite sides of the field. Use the screens often, alternating between the HB and FB. Just keep an eye on your recievers. If they are in single coverage, they might be able to burn the DB's. FB Fake Toss - Semi trick play. The QB fakes the handoff to the FB up the middle, then tosses left to the HB running left. Follow the blocking. If you have a good HB, this can turn into a big gain. WR Reverse - QB hands off to the HB, who hands off to the WR running left. Better hope he's fast. Follow the blockers, and don't turbo until you get to the line of scrimmage. It also makes it easier for jukes and spin moves if you don't abuse the sprint button. Avoid using this play more than twice a game. The computer catches on quick, and will start to blitz. PA QB Boot - Warning! Not for slow QB's. QB fakes the handoff then runs to the right. Use the blockers. Vick would be perfect on this play. There's a couple more pass plays, along with HB toss, slam, dive, and stretch. Oh, ther's a screen pass play too. I Form-TWIN WR - (2WR LEFT, 1HB, 1FB, 1TE) PA TE Leak - The far left WR streaks. The inside left WR cuts across the field to the right. The TE does a short slant to the right. Scramble to the right and lead your pass to the cutting recievers. Another play action pass play and a couple of other short passing plays are here. Some good running plays - FB dive, HB slash, counter, toss, and blast finish up this set. I FORM-TWIN TE - (2TE LEFT, 1WR RIGHT, 1HB, 1FB) WR Post - Inside left TE cuts short to the inside right. Avoid him. The outside TE slants to the sideline. The WR runs a deep post to the inside left. Throw to one of these two. Don't lob the ball, or screen to the HB. A couple more very short pass plays remain. Although there are quite a few nice runs here for the FB and HB. FB dive, HB lead, toss, counter, off-tackle, and slam. Add in a playaction pass play, and the "Fake FB Toss" play is here again too. SPLITBACK-NORMAL (1HB, 1FB, 1TE, 2WR) PA WR Shake - The left WR runs a deep post in. The HB slants from the backfield towards the left sideline. The TE posts to the right sideline. The right WR does the short stutter-step move. Audible this guy and you will have 4 options to pass to. TE Post - Deep passing play. Left WR and the TE slant left. Look for one of them. The right WR streaks. If he's fast, lob the ball over his head deep, and he might catch up to it for a huge gain. The rest are short to medium pass plays. Nothing big. Finishing this set are the HB sweep, draw, inside and toss runs. Even a FB belly to keep the FB involved. SPLITBACK- 3WR (3WR, 1HB, 1FB) HB Option - Inside right WR slants deep to the middle. The other 2 WR's streak. You can hit any of the 3. Play it safe and throw to the inside WR on the slant route. Or you can also screen to the FB. Don't throw to the HB, unless he gets ahead of his man on the short cross. Slot Cross - Same play as the one under "SINGLEBACK-NORMAL SLOT" playbook. The rest are short passing plays, along with a screen pass. Add in a HB draw, blast, and toss. FB blast finishes this set. STRONG I-NORMAL (2WR, 1TE, 1FB 1HB) PA FB Flat - Play action pass play. Right WR streaks. Left WR stutter-steps inside. The TE does a medium cut to the middle left. Accuracy is a must. You could screen pass to the FB also. Nice play. FB Spot - Same play as "Flats" in the "I FORM-NORMAL" formation. Comet Pass - Cool name..The left WR and the TE slant right. These are your targets. The FB screens, while the HB goes around the linemen to the left, then cuts short to the middle. If you throw to him, there's a good chance you'll get picked off. The right WR runs a very short route, so audible him deep downfield so you can free up the TE. There's a couple more medium pass plays, along with 2 more play action passes. FB dive, HB dive, counter, toss, and blast . STRONG I-3WR (3WR, 1FB, 1HB) Deep Cross - Both right WR's criss-cross into slant patterns. Look to throw to one of them. The HB does a sharp cut to the middle. The left WR does an in and out cut to the sideline. if you throw to him, throw it fast, otherwise the defender will jump in front of the ball. Double Flares - Either throw deep, or screen pass to the HB and FB. Avoid the inside right WR. He cuts into traffic up the middle. The rest are a couple of medium range passes. All of them allow you to screen to the HB and FB respectively. There's a screen pass and a couple of play action passes too. Throw in the HB toss, off-tackle, draw, and counter runs, and you have a pretty good setup. STRONG I-JUMBO (2TE, 1FB, 1HB, 1WR) Use this setup for running plays. There are 2 play action pass plays, but they aren't that good because of the constant blitz. There's a TE drag pass play, along with HB counter, blast, sweep, dive, and FB dive running plays. WEAK I-NORMAL (2WR, 1TE, 1FB, 1HB) TE Fade - Money Play. HB screens left . Left WR runs deep slant in. The TE and right WR criss-cross. You can lob to the TE, or bullet pass to the left WR. How about a lead pass to the right WR going left across the field? I always get someone open on this play. Sweeeeet... WR Streak - Left WR streaks. HB screens right. The right WR runs 10 yards, then cuts inside left. He's your man if you time it right. Watch the blitz, if they do, screen to the HB. A few more medium range pass plays, and 1 play action pass play await. Follow those up with HB wham, counter, lead, and gut runs...Nice! WEAK I-TWIN WR (2 WR LEFT, 1TE, 1HB, 1FB) PA Deep Attack - Far left WR streaks. The TE does a short curl in. The FB screens left. Hit the inside right WR on the quick slant. Again, watch the blitz. The rest of the plays include FB power, HB draw, inside, trap, and toss running plays. There's another screen pass, a play action pass, anda few short pass plays. SHOTGUN 2RB 3WR (1HB, 1FB, 3WR) WR Slant Out - HB screens left. Far right WR does a very short cut to the sideline. The FB goes short up the middle. Avoid these guys or audible different routes for them. Look for the inside right WR on the deep slant in, or the left WR cutting across the middle. That's the only play that stood out to me for this set. The others are decent, but fairly short passes. Included in this set are. HB delay, and FB inside to share the wealth. Throw in a screen, and a play action pass for a good selection of plays. SHOTGUN TRIPS BUNCH (1WR LEFT, 1TE, 2WR BUNCHED RIGHT) Clearout FL In - Left WR starts short, fakes a cut left, then breaks deep. Lob the ball to him if he gets ahead of the DB. The TE and middle WR streak, while the far right WR does a short box in. Avoid this guy. Clearout SE Out - Left and far right WR's streak. Middle right reciever does a box cut to the sideline. The TE runs a deep slant to the inside. Take your pick on this one, but the sure fire guy is the TE. There are a few more pass plays that require precision. This setup backfired a few times too many because of the blitz. Sometimes the recievers don't finish their routes in time, and you end up sacked. Throw in a HB mid-draw for good measure. SHOTGUN- 4WR (4WR, 1HB) Jags Cross - Far left WR cuts short inside. The inside left WR short slants out. Inside right WR box cuts to the middle, while the far right WR deep slants inside. The HB screens to the right. You can't go wrong on the slants. Slot Outs - Good play if you need short yardage to pick up the 1st down. The 2 outside WR's streak deep. The 2 inside WR's cut short to opposite sides of the field. If you deed the first, go short. There's still a few good pass plays left. Another screen and play action pass are available. Can't forget the HB mid-draw run play. SHOTGUN-5WR Streaks - Self explanatory. Almost a "Hail Mary", look for the inside right WR on the deep slant in. Hail Mary - Everybody's runnin' like Godzilla's chasing them. Slot Post - The middle right and inside left WR's screen towards opposite sidelines then break deep. Everyone else cuts inside. Pocket presence is a must. Look for the right inside WR slanting towards the middle. A few short and medium pass plays are here, including a WR screen. You should be able to get all your WR's involved in this set. PROS: - Lots of running plays available in pretty much every set - Utilizes the TE's - 3,4,and 5 WR formations - A bunch of Play action passes - Gets all the WR's involved CONS: - Vulnerable to the blitz - WR's take too much time to get open on some plays - Some of the same plays, just in different sets GRADE: RUNNING - A PASSING - A+ OVERALL - A- Almost perfect. Maybe a couple of trick plays and it would be. The best one so far besides New England. Gets the running game going with RB and the FB. Huge selection of plays. Perfect for playing against friends to keep them guessing. It's funny though, there's always that one WR, that reminds me of playing football with my friends back in the day. He would always run deep for the long bomb... ============================================================================ INDIANAPOLIS COLTS - Tony Dungy by **RALLO** SINGLEBACK-DEUCE (2TE, 2WR, 1HB) PA All Go - Playaction pass. QB fakes handoff to HB. All the recievers streak. Basically, it's a "Hail Mary" play action pass. Flea Flicker - Trick play. QB fakes the handoff to the HB. HB then tosses the ball back to the QB for the pass. Watch the blitz. Lead the pass to the left WR cutting all the way across the field to the right. Ace TE Drag - Left WR streaks. Left TE does a 10 yard box cut to the middle. Right WR runs a deep slant in, slightly left. Throw the ball to anyone except the right TE. HB Pass - QB tosses the ball to the HB. The HB can either pass or run. If running, follow your blockers first to get an idea of where you will run. Then use the sprint button. Sprint too early and you will get blitzed. Right WR streaks. The left TE short crosses over the middle. Avoid him or audible him for another throwing option. Left WR slants in. Be careful throwing the ball into the middle, doing so can result in an easy interception or a possible injury. There's a few more decent pass plays. A WR reverse run that rarely works. A screen pass, and the basic HB slant, blunt dive, smash and off-tackle. Not too bad.... SINGLEBACK-BIG TWIN WR (2WR Left, 2TE, 1HB) Posts - Left WR slants deep in. Inside left WR medium slants left towards the sideline. Left TE also slants a shorter route to the left sideline. Good play if you need the easy first down. Be careful throwing left, it gets pretty congested. If the right TE is in single coverage, throw to him. PA FL Stretch - Play action pass play. Left WR streaks. Inside left WR and the left TE slant route all the way across the field to the right. Take your pick. Just lead your passes, and watch the blitz. The rest are a couple of screen passes, a 2 WR option passes. There's also another weak play action pass, and the usual HB dive, counter weak, pitch and slant runs. SINGLEBACK-DICE (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) WR Post(Wayne Post) - Left WR runs deep crooked post in to the right. Left inside WR criss crosses him, then breaks deep. Right WR crosses 10 yards over the middle. HB screens right. Hit the left WR crossing deep over the middle. Cross Up - Left WR and the TE do short routes to the middle. Avoid them. Your targets are the inside left WR or the right WR. Both of them slants deep left. The HB screens left. Hit the HB if you get blitzed. Safety Bait - Left WR runs a box curl left, towards the sideline. Right WR box curls to the right sideline. The left inside WR slants in. The TE screens right. The sideline WR's are supposed to lure the safeties, freeing up the inside left WR for the open slant pass. Accuracy is a must if throwing to the 2 box curl WR's. Remaining plays are, 4 more play action passes that are okay. A few short to medium pass plays, and the HB dive, draw, cutback, slash, slam and belly runs. Pretty good set. SINGLEBACK-SLOT STRONG (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) PA Volunteer - Yet another Playaction pass. Left WR slants deep right. You can't go wrong on the slant passes..(**HINT, HINT**) Inside right WR box cuts left over the middle. Precision is a must if throwing to him. the left WR does an even shorter cut left over the middle. I'd audible him for a different route of your choice. HB screens right. Watch the blitz here too. PA 218 Marvin - You guessed it, another play action! Left WR runs a deep route, then sharply curls left towards the sideline.Inside right WR streaks. Far right WR slants in the breaks out to the right sideline. If timed correctly, you can hit this guy almost all the time. The HB screens right if you get in trouble. PA All Go - Are you sensing a pattern here? Everyone goes deep, look for the TE slanting across the middle. Slot Reverse - Trick play. QB tosses to HB. HB hands off to the inside right WR running left. This play rarely works, and you need a speedy WR with good agility. Follow the blocking before you sprint. There are a few more decent pass plays, a couple more play action passes, and the HB counter, toss strong, dive, blunt dive and slant runs. SINGLEBACK-4WR STACK (4WR, 1HB) Counter Cross - Left WR box curls out to the left sideline. Inside left WR slant right toward the deep middle. Inside right WR slants out to the sideline, while the far right WR stutter-steps a short slant in. The HB screens left. The 2 inside WR's slanting right are your targets. That's it really for this set. A couple more mediocre passes remain. Along with a medium range play action pass, HB dive, sprint, draw, toss and slant runs. I'm getting disappointed.... SINGLEBACK-4WR (4WR, 1HB) HB Option(James Option) - This play has nothing really to do with the HB, so avoid him. The left WR does a very short slant curl in. I'd audible this guy for another available reciever. The inside left and outside right WR's streak. The inside right WR deep slants in. Since you can't always throw the deep ball in this game, hit that inside right WR. Nothing else jumps out at me here. A couple more short range pass plays, a decent play action pass, HB dive, draw, sprint, and sweep runs finish this weak set. I FORM-NORMAL (2WR, 1TE, 1FB, 1HB) Flats - Almost a money play, because you can always get someone open. Both WR's streak. TE short boxes to the inside middle. Audible him to a slant to the outside. that will give you another reciever. The HB and FB screen to opposite sides. Someone will be open, it's just up to you to gind them. FB Fake HB Toss - Semi-trick running play. Qb fakes the handoff to the FB up the middle, then quickly tosses it to the HB running left. I was able to get at least 7 yards or mor every time. Madden vets would consider this a money play. Before the snap, if you notice the opponent about to blitz on the left, audible the play to the right using the right analog stick. Not too much more here. A screen pass, 2 mediocre play action passes, and 2 more basic pass plays. FB dive, HB slam, toss, counter, and dive finish this set. I FORM-BIG (Same as above, just 1WR) Use this set mainly for running plays. Believe me, the passing stinks. There are some decent running plays, like HB slam, counter lead, lead dive, toss and FB dive strong. This should have been a goaline formation. SPLITBACKS-3WR (3WR, 1HB, 1FB) HB Option - The left and far right WR's streak. Inside right WR deep slants in. FB screens right, while the HB runs an option slant or curl over the middle. Hit anyone.........except the HB. Out N Ups - Inside right WR short box cuts left to the middle. Audible him to slant inside, and he will be your primary reciever. Left and far right WR's run out and up routes deep. Unless they are really fast, there's no guarantee they will get open. If they are speedy, lob the pass over their heads and hope they catch up. You can take control of them and sprint ahead, because the DB's usually knock the ball down. Keep an eye out for the blitz. Slot Cross - Left WR slants deep in. Inside right WR slants all the way across the middle towards the left. Far right WR runs a 10 yard box in, to the left. I'd audible him with a curl pattern, then it's take your pick. The remaining plays are okay, but succeptible to the blitz. The WR's take too much time to finish their routes. Only 2 running plays though, HB blast up the middle, and an off-tackle to the right. Not much blocking help on the running plays. SPLITBACKS-TWINS WR (Same as above, just both WR's left)_ Stutter Post - Both HB and FB screen to opposite sides. The TE sharp slants right. The left WR stutter-steps a slant deep inside. Inside left WR short cuts in. Hit the left WR or audible the inside left WR to slant left to the sideline. I was able to throw to him constantly doing this. The rest are a few decent short range passes. The HB and FB are available for screens on pretty much every one of those plays. 1 play action pass that stinks, and FB dive, HB sweep, and inside running plays finish this set. Use this set if you only need a couple of yards for the first. STRONG I-NORMAL/STRONG I-JUMBO Well, to put it mildly, these formations stink like gramps athlete's foot......... Use these only for running. HB dive, sweep, lead counter and FB dive. **Makes the fart noise** STRONG I-3WR (3WR, 1FB, 1HB) Double Flares - Left WR streaks. Right WR deep slants in. Inside right WR short cuts left, to the middle. Avoid him, or audible him slant right. HB and FB screen to opposite sides. Take your pick here. Deep Cross - Left WR sharp posts left to the sideline. HB sharp cuts to the middle. Use caution if throwing to him. Both right side WR's criss-cross slants. Hit one of these guys. A couple of short pass plays left. 2 okay play action passes, a screen play and FB dive, HB draw, crash, and counter complete this set. SHOTGUN 2RB 3WR Nothing stands out in this set.the recievers take to long to do their routes. A lot of short pass plays. Add in an HB draw, and delay, along with a weak play action pass, and you are done here. SHOTGUN NORMAL (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) Corner Threat - Both outside WR's go short. Audible both to streak. The inside left WR and the TE do deep slants to opposite sidelines. They are your targets, unless your audibled WR's get open on the streaks. Edge Flare - Both outside WR's streak. The inside left WR short slants in. The TE blocks, then breaks out for a pass. The HB screens. A pretty decent play. A couple on nice play actions remain, along with a few short pass plays. Nothing you haven't seen already in other formations.HB draw, delay, sweep and off-tackle finish this one. A decent set. SHOTGUN-SLOT STRONG (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) Sprint RT Option - Both outside WR's streak. TE slants to the right sideline. Inside right WR does a sharp screen right. Audible him to a slant left over the middle, which will give you another pass option. If you do, someone will get open. If you have a fast QB, you can run the ball right, since he will be running in that direction anyway. Nothing else here. Again several plays you've already seen. Some medium range pass plays, a play action pass, and a screen play await. HB delay, draw and sweep are the running plays. SHOTGUN 4 WR Hail Mary - "We'll take the "long" way home! Circle - Far right WR short boxes to the sideline. Inside right WR streaks. Left WR crosses all the way over the middle to the right. Inside left WR criss-crosses with the left WR and runs deep left along the sideline. You have to hit him as soon as he gets open or the DB will swat down the ball. The HB circles around the left to the middle of the crowd. Avoid him. Once again, you can't go wrong on the slant. Again, you've seen the rest already by now. A play action pass and WR screen await, along with HB delay, draw and sweep. PROS: - Lots, and I mean lots of play action passes - Plenty of deep passes - TE's Chip in too - Audibling routes give you more pass options - Decent run plays for that ONE, star HB CONS: - Too many play action plays for such a slow QB - A lot of the same type plays in different sets - Very vulnerable to the blitz, with all the play actions - No 5 WR formations - Only 1 or 2 trick plays GRADE: PASSING - B RUNNING - C+ OVERALL - B - Maybe I watch TV and expect the same type of brilliant plays, but this is an average playbook IMO. While there are some decent passing plays, there are way too many play action plays for such a slow QB. The Blitzing will hurt if you don't have superior offensive linemen. There are plenty of running plays, but most are up the middle. If you have 2 good HB's, go to the coaching strategy screen during the game, and keep the starter on the main plays, and then substitute the 2nd HB for the weaker plays. That way both get involved, and you won't have that "trade me" request at the end of the year. With all the different formations, I expected a whole lot more. =========================================================================== Kansas City Chiefs - Dick Vermeil by **RALLO** SINGLEBACK-BIG (2TE, 2WR, 1HB) TE Cross - Left WR streaks. Right WR deep slants in. Both TE's cross each other over the middle. Take your pick here, just be careful throwing the ball over the middle, especially if you are scrambling. Lead your passes and you should get someone. I like the right WR on this one. TE Special - Left WR runs a crooked post inside. Left TE does a short curl out. Audible him to slant left and he will be the primary target. The right WR streaks, while the right TE screens right. Audible him to slant to the right and you should now have 4 options to throw to. That's it here. 2 play action passes, a couple of option passes and the HB smash, dive, counter, slant and draw running plays. SINGLEBACK-BIG TWIN WR (2WR left, 2TE, 1HB) WR Option(Kennison Option) - Left WR streaks. Inside left WR either short curls in or out(that's the "option"). Audible him or avoid him. He does his route over the middle. Left TE slants right, towards the middle. Right TE stutter-steps a short slant in. Audible him to slant, or box cut right. He will then be the main target. HB screens far right. Believe it or not, that's it. The rest are weak short to medium range pass plays. Add HB power, draw, counter, and dive to complete this weak set. SINGLEBACK-TWIN TE (2WR, 2TE right, 1HB) TE Option(Gonzalez Option) - Left WR runs deep then does a comeback to the left sideline. Far right TE goes right, towards the sideline, then breaks deep. The right WR deep slants in. The inside right TE goes short. Audible him however you want, just to have another target. WR Drag - Left WR breaks deep then does another comeback towards the sideline. Far right TE box cuts left to the middle. Far right TE short slants right, towards the sideline. I'd throw to him. Hitting recievers on the slant is always a safe bet. The right WR does a short cross all the way left across the middle. Avoid him, or audible him to streak. If he's fast, he might get open. So far this is getting boring. There's a decent play action pass play, along with a weaker shorter one too. WR screen is there, joined by a corny WR option play. HB sprint, draw, plunge, dive and slant finish this snoozefest... SINGLEBACK-TWIN TE WR (2WR, 2TE's right, 1HB) Hitch Corners - Left WR runs a very short curl in. Inside left WR slants left to the sideline. Inside right TE slants right, towards the sideline. Outside right TE short curls to the right. Audible the left WR and the Outside TE to streak. This will open up more of the field. PA FL Stretch - Left WR box cuts right. Inside right TE slants right toward the sideline, while the outside right TE sharply cuts short to the inside. Audible the far right TE to slant post over the middle. Be quick and watch the blitz. Ho hum...I'm getting sleepy. There's an HB screen pass play, another average play action pass play, a couple of short option passes, HB counter, draw, and dive finish this set. SINGLEBACK-NORMAL SLOT (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) FL Middle - Left WR crooked posts deep in. Inside left WR cris crosses the left WR, towards the sideline, then breaks deep. If throwing to him, hit him as soon as he gets by the first defender. The right WR box cuts left, over the middle. The TE blocks and runs straight downfield. Be careful throwing to the middle! Slot Cross - Left WR deep slants in. Inside left WR crosses right, all the way across the field. TE blocks then goes straight for the pass, while the right WR streaks. I'd scramble right, and lead a pass to the inside left WR crossing over the middle. HB Option(Holmes Option) - Despite the play name, avoid the HB. The left WR curls out to the sideline. Audible him to slant right. The inside left WR streaks. The TE streaks too. The right WR runs a medium box cut left to the middle. Take your pick here. 2 weak play action passes remain. A screen play, a couple more mediocre option passes, a decent WR drag play and HB slash, counter, sweep, dive and draw remain. SINGLEBACK-SLOT STRONG (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) PA Cross Up - Left WR deep slants in. The TE runs a medium slant across the left middle. The inside WR deep slants right, towards the sideline. Far right WR curls in short. Audible him to slant left, and you'll have plenty of options, but because this is a play action, watch the blitz. WR Post - Everybody slant posts to the left. Scramble left too and lead your passes on this one. Nothing more to see here people....A couple more option passes, a screen play, a conservative double hook play, and HB counter, dive, draw and belly running plays are left. SINGLEBACK-TRIPS TE (3WR left, 1TE, 1HB) TE Corner - TE slants right. HB screens right. Left WR crosses short to the middle. Audible him to streak. The middle left WR slants in right, while the right WR slants left. You should be able to find someone open. Deep Attack - Left WR runs deep, then curls back to the sideline. Middle left WR streaks. Inside left WR slants in right. Look for this guy. The HB screens right, while the TE breaks straight ahead for a pass. Man this is corny. A cheesy play action pass, a screen play, and a couple more short pass plays. HB draw, toss, counter, and dive finish this stinker. SINGLEBACK-TRIPS BUNCH (1WR left, 1TE, 2WR bunched right 1HB) PA Pin Deep - Left WR does a comeback route towards the left sideline. TE screens right. Audible him to slant right. Middle right WR box cuts left over the middle. Be careful throwing to him with all the congestion. The far right WR runs a semi-slant. Hit the TE, or the left WR on the comeback. WR Option(Kennison Option) - Left and far right WR's run crooked posts deep right. You can throw to either of these two. The TE box cuts over the middle, while the middle right WR runs a short route. Audible him to streak, because your targets may take too long to complete their routes. Be prepared to get rid of the ball, because here comes the blitz. Clearout SE Opt - Left WR curls left to the sideline. TE slants left to the middle. Middle right WR goes short again, so audible him to a right slant . The far right WR streaks. Go ahead and take your pick. Another weak play action is here, and a few short pass plays. HB dive, draw, sprint, counter trap, and pitch finish this set. SINGLEBACK 4 WR TOTAL WASTE! You've seen all these plays already in previous sets. The people at EA should be dropkicked from the top rope. SINGLEBACK-FLIP TRIPS (4WR, 1HB) Drive - Left WR streaks. Inside right WR semi-slants up the middle. Middle right WR box cuts left. The far right WR short drags left to the middle. Audible him or avoid him. You are on your own on this one. It's a risk to throw up the middle on this play. Corner Flat - Left Wr slants right. Middle right WR short cuts left over the middle. Inside right WR screens right. Far right WR curl drags right, to the sideline. You can try to hit him, but you will have to be accurate, otherwise the defenders will knock the ball down. I'd go with the left WR on this play. Geez, I'd have more fun watching DR. Phil while cleaning the house...There's a weak Play action waggle play, a couple other short pass plays, HB sprint, slash, counter trap, toss and draw to end this formation. I FORM-NORMAL (1HB, 1FB, 1TE, 2WR) Seam 678 - Left WR box cuts right. HB and FB screen to opposite directions. TE and right WR criss-cross on the deep slants. Look for one of these guys. WR Around - QB fakes the handoff to the HB up the middle, then handsoff to the inside right WR running left on the reverse. Follow the blocking before you sprint. Don't abuse this play, It only worked twice for me, gaining 16 yards the first time and 3 yards the second. FB Fake HB Toss - QB fakes the handoff to the FB up the middle, then quickly tosses left to the HB who's running left. Again, follow the blocking before you sprint. Good play. Flea Flicker - QB fakes the handoff to the HB up the middle, HB tosses back to the QB for the pass. Audible the right WR to streak, then scramble right. I would look for the WR cutting across the field on this one. A few more short passes, a screen play, HB counter, lead, toss, smash, and a FB dive remain. I FORM-TWIN WR (same as above, both WR's right) Flea Flicker - This is a little different from the previous one. QB hands off to the HB, HB tosses back to the QB. This time the WR's criss-cross then go deep. Audible the TE to slant left. Hit him or the far left WR cutting right across the middle. That's it really. 2 more play action pass plays, a couple of option passes, a screen pass, a couple of short passes are here. HB dive, draw, slash, and lead toss end this set. FB streaks, HB screens right. Another play action similiar to the one above. A screen play, a weak play action boot play. A couple of short pass plays. HB counter weak, draw, power, dive and FB dive complete this set. STRONG I - NORMAL FLEX (2WR, 1TE, 1FB, 1HB) Deep Cross - Left WR starts in, then sharp slants out to the left. HB screens left, then cuts right to the middle. The TE and right WR criss-crosses deep. Look for one of them. Double Flares - Left WR streaks, Right WR deep posts in. TE short box cuts left to the middle. That's it... 2 more option passes, 2 simple play action passes, a short pass play, and the usual HB counter dive, toss, dive weak, and draw. FB dive too. STRONG I-TWIN WR (ame as above, 2WR left) GARBAGE! Didn't I say something about deja-vu? WEAK I-NORMAL (1HB, 1FB, 1TE, 2WR) TE Fade - Left WR deep slants in. TE runs diagonally right to the sideline. The right WR criss crosses the TE on a long slant across the field. HB screens left. Decent play. Take your pick here. HB Zone Weak - Just a running play to the left, but for some reason, I kept getting good yardage on this play. A couple more option passes, 2 weak play actions, a screen pass and a short quick slants play are here. HB toss, counter, dive, lead and FB power remain. WEAK I-TWIN WR (same as above, 2WR left) PA Boot Slide - Both WR's and TE slant post to the right. Scramble right, and lead a pass to any one of them. Be careful throwing to the inside left WR, he goes short over the middle. Cross Under - Left WR runs a crooked post deep inside. The inside left WR criss-crosses the left WR, then breaks deep along the left sideline. The HB screens far right. The TE runs short left over the middle. Audible him to slant right, and he will be the first option. The rest are short pass plays, a screen, and HB draw, toss, gut, and dive running plays. here's also a FB power. SHOTGUN-2RB FLEX (2WR, 1TE, 2HB) Corner Flats Under - Both left and right WR's curl drag to opposite sidelines. Both HB's screen to opposite sides too. The TE runs a medium box cut left to the middle. Accuracy is needed on the WR's or just do a screen pass to one of the backs. Nothing else stands out in this set. A screen play, an option play, a couple of weak play actions and HB draw and inside complete this weakness. SHOTGUN 4WR (4WR, 1HB) Hail Mary - Run Quick see, what do we have here now, do you wanna ride or die, la la, la, la, la,......OH! my bad, just trying to keep myself entertained..Everybody's STREAKING! Smash Corners - The 2 outside WR's curl short. Audible both of them to streak or slant inside, creating a double cross play. The HB streaks up the middle. A few more medium to long range passing, but the recievers take too long to finish their routes. Theres an okay play action pass, a few more short pass plays, and an HB draw and sweep. SHOTGUN 5WR Hitch Corners - The 2 outside WR's curl short. Audible them to streak. The 2 inside WR's slant left. The middle right WR slants right. You should be able to hit any of the WR's on the slant. WR Post Corner - Left WR goes deep, then cuts inside, then sharply outside. He takes a bit to get open. Inside left WR box cuts right towards the middle. The inside right WR short cuts right, to the sideline. The other 2 right WR's streak. You shouldn't have any trouble finding someone. Aside from the slot option pass and the slot post plays, the rest are short passing plays. You'll need to audible them a lot to make them work. PROS: - Utilizes the TE's - Some decent running plays - Good for the "conservative" player - 3, 4, 5, set formations CONS: - The same plays over and over and over again - Recievers sometimes take a while to get open - Too much audibling results in delay of game - A little too conservative GRADE: - PASSING - D - RUNNING - B - - OVERALL - C - This is the worst playbook I've done so far. A lot of the same plays over and over in different sets. No wonder Priest Holmes and Tony Gonzalez are so important to the team, this playbook is built for them only. There is plenty of decent running, you should have at least a 1200-1500 yard rusher for the season. I must have averaged at least 6 delay of game penalties because of constant audibles. The people at EA definitely did not plan this well. 10 lashes for them all. So if you are thinking of using this playbook - Don't, spend quality time with the in-laws, you'll have more fun... ============================================================================= CHICAGO BEARS - (Lovie Smith) by **RALLO** SINGLEBACK-BIG (2WR, 2TE, 1HB) Flea Flicker - Trick play. SINGLEBACK-TWIN TE (2WR, 2TE's right, 1HB) Clark Option - Left WR starts deep, then does a comeback route towards the sideline. Right WR deep slants in. He is your target. The inside TE does a short route, so audible him to slant over the middle. Just make sure you get the ball over the defender's reach if throwing to him. You should hit someone, but because this is a play action pass, watch the blitz. There's another play action pass, a few more short to medium range pass plays, HB sprint, pitch, dive, and draw. SINGLEBACK-4WR SPREAD (4WR, 1HB) PA HB Out - Play action pass. Both outside WR's streak. Both inside WR's slant left. Hit the WR's on the slant. Audible the HB to screen, in case there's trouble. There's a couple more good medium to deep pass plays. 2 more play actions, HB dive, cutback, draw, pitch, slash, and stretch. Good plays to keep 'em guessing. SINGLEBACK -TREY OPEN (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) Drive - Left WR curls in. You'd have to hit him immediately. TE box cuts to the middle. Inside WR goes short left. Audible him to slant right, and he would be the primary reciever. The right WR streaks. SINGLEBACK-EMPTY 5WR Smash Fork - Left WR goes short. Audible him to slant right. The inside right WR goes short too. Audible him to slant left. The other 2 WR's on the right criss-cross. You should have no problems getting the ball downfield. Hail Mary - Let's go STREAKING!!! Uh...Everyone Streaks downfield. Cross Up - Left WR runs diagonally right towards the middle. Inside left WR starts left to the sideline, then breaks deep. The inside right WR goes short. Audible him to right slant. Middle right WR deep slants in to the left. He's a good target. Far right WR streaks. Someone's gotta be open. There are quite a few more plays, but most of them or short passes. A lot of audibles might be needed. There are a few medium range pass plays as well. Be careful and watch the blitz on some of them, because the receivers take too long on their routes. I FORM-NORMAL (2WR, 1TE, 1HB, 1FB) FB Fake HB Toss - QB fakes the handoff to the FB up the middle, then quickly tosses left to the HB who's running left. Follow the blocking before you sprint. I always seem to get decent yards every time I run this play. WR Reverse - QB hands off to the HB, who then hands off to the right WR running left. DO NOT USE THE SPRINT UNTIL YOU GET PAST THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE, or your in trouble. Also, don't abuse this play. No more than twice a game. The computer catches on fast. 2 more play actions here, along with several short pass plays. HB Toss, slam, stretch and misdirection running plays. There's even a QB running play to the right, but your QB has to be fast. SPLITBACKS-NORMAL (2WR, 1TE, 1HB, 1FB) PA WR Shake - Left WR posts deep in. HB crooked posts left towards the sideline. TE slants right, get it to him. Right WR stutter-steps short. Audible him, or avoid him. This play is up in the air because it's a play action, and that means there's a good chance of the blitz. TE Post - Left WR slants in, then out to the sideline. Right WR streaks. TE deep slants left over the middle. FB screens right. Hit the TE. A couple of option passes, and some short to medium range pass plays. STRONG I-JUMBO (2TE, 1WR, 1HB, 1FB) Use this mainly for the running plays. the couple of pass plays are short range. It's like an extra "goal line" formation. WEAKI-NORMAL (2WR, 1TE, 1HB, 1FB) Nothing huge stands out here. Conservative formation. 2 play action passes, a screen, and a couple okay pass plays as well. HB inside, lead, draw, gut, and FB power complete this one. WEAK I-TWIN WR (same as above, 2WR left) PA Boot Slide - QB fakes handoff to HB. Left WR slant deep right. PROS: - Good passing plays - Good running plays too. - TE's are thrown into the mix - 3, 4, 5 WR formations - Good for intermediate players CONS: - A lot of the runs are up the middle. - Not good for slower QB's - I'd like to see more FB running plays GRADE: - PASSING - A - - RUNNING - B+ - OVERALL - A Even I was surprised at this playbook. No drinking excessively, smashing things, or temper tantrums. It's actually pretty good. The plays aren't too difficult, and everyone gets involved. Your offensive line needs to be good though, because of the nice runs and play actions. I gained lots of first downs, which in turned boosted my time of possesion. Conservative, but effective. Veterans will be able to kick some serious Boo-Tay! It's a good playbook to practice your skills with. ============================================================================ RUN-N-GUN PLAYBOOK by **RALLO** SINGLEBACK-BIG (2TE, 2WR, 1HB) Flea Flicker - QB fakes handoff to HB up the middle. Or you could scramble to either side and hit the TE crossing the field with you. SE Post - Left WR slants deep in. The right WR streaks. There are a couple more play actions, and a few medium to long range pass plays too. HB counter, dive, draw, pitch, slash and stretch. Good formation here. I FORM-NORMAL (1HB, 1FB, 1TE, 2WR) Flea Flicker - Same as the one in the "Singleback-Big" formation above, just slightly different WR routes. Just audible the TE to slant left, and the right WR to slant right. Watch the blitz. Flats - Both WR's streak. TE goes short inside. Audible him to slant left, and he would become the primary reciever. Both HB and FB screen to opposite sides. FB Fake HB Toss - QB fakes the handoff to the FB up the middle, then quickly tosses left to the HB running left. Don't sprint right away, follow the blocking first. Sweet play. 3 more play actions are here, and a few short range pass plays. FB dive, HB draw, counter, lead, toss, smash, and a barely usable WR around play complete this one. FORM-BIG/I FORM-TWIN TE BORING! Short passes and play actions. Nothing big to see. There are a few nice running plays, but most of them you've seen already in previous formations. Use only on short yardage plays. FULLHOUSE-WIDE (2WR, 1FB, 2HB) WR Middle - Left WR crooked posts deep. HB screens left. Right side HB short box cuts right, while the right WR short boxes in left over the middle. Nice play, but accuracy is needed on this one. Flares - Pretty much the same play as above, except the left WR streaks, while all the backs screen. Plenty of runs are here, HB misdirection, slam, draw, sweep, dive and smash FULLHOUSE-WEAK (Same as above, except 1TE, 1WR) See above. Short passing and some runs. FULLHOUSE-STRONG ( Same as above) Short passing again. Plenty of running. Don't get fooled using the reverses. I never got more than 3 yards using them. All of these are basically the same. They could have created better formations. The developers got lazy it seems. STRONG I-NORMAL (2WR, 1TE, 1FB, 1HB) Ho hum... Boring. Trust me! 2 play actions and a couple of short to medium range pass plays. HB sweep, blast, dive, and counter. There's also a FB dive as well. The TE diagonally streaks right, towards the sideline. The Hb screens left. I had no problem hitting anyone on this play. That's about all that stands out here. 3 so-so play actions, and a couple more conservative like pass plays. HB counter trap, strong stretch and HB gut await. WEAK I-TIGHT TWINS ( same as above, except both WR's left) Weak indeed.... SHOTGUN-2RB 3WR Wow...WHAT garbage! Put it this way, the best plays in this formation are HB Draw and FB Inside. Keep in mind this is a shotgun formation. AVOID... SHOTGUN-NORMAL (3WR, 1TE, 1HB) TE Corner - Left WR box cuts right. Inside left WR streaks, while the TE deep slants right. Look for him. The right WR goes short right, so audible him to slant left. You should find someone open. 3 more play actions, and lots of short passes are left. WHy have shotgun if you only have short range passing. Tons of audibles will be needed. HB draw, and off-tackle remain. PROS: - Good running plays - TE's get in on the action - Plenty of play action plays CONS: - Passing stinks - No 5 WR formations - Several of the same plays in different formations - Vulnerable to the blitz, because of all the play actions GRADE: PASSING - D+ RUNNING - B OVERALL - D This playbook should be called RUN-N-DUMB, or RUN-N-BUM. This playbook sucks. Even the Chiefs are better than this. Don't be fooled by the name.I could have given this a "C-", because it DOES need improvement. "GUN" to me in football usually involves lots of deep passing and 5 WR formations, but there is none. This playbook belongs in NFL-Europe, no, no, NFL-Antarctica. The running is good, but even the best Madden players cannot win on the run alone. Avoid this stinker of a playbook. ============================================================================= MIAMI DOLPHINS - Nick Saban by **RALLO** SINGLEBACK-BIG (2TE, 2WR, 1HB) PA Deep In - Left WR boxes right. Hit the right WR, or scramble to either side, and hit one of the TE's running with you. There are a couple more play actions here, along with some nice short to medium range pass plays. HB slam, counter, blast, stretch, and draw. Not bad to start... HB belly strong, counter weak, pitch and off-tackle weak. SINGLEBACK-TWIN TE (1HB, 2TE right, 2 WR) Nothing really stands out here for me. A few mediocre medium range pass plays. A lot of audibling and hot routes will be needed for this set. There are several running plays too, but half are up the middle. HB plunge, dive, counter weak, and off-tackle. Audible him to streak or and Out-n-up pattern. The TE slants left inside. The middle right WR slants right, while the far right WR goes short. Audible him to streak. The HB screens left. Nice play. It's weird, but most of the pass plays remaining are almost the same way. 1 play action thats similiar too. There are some short passes as well. HB slam, and counter pitch are the running plays. They should have had more IMO. I FORM-NORMAL (1HB, 1FB, 1TE, 2WR) Deep Cross - HB screens far left. TE slants deep over the middle. The right WR slant streaks deep. The left WR runs an out-n-up route deep. Good play, but sometimes the recievers take too long to get open. FB Fake HB Toss - QB fakes the handoff to the FB up the middle, then quickly tosses left to the HB, who's running left. Follow the blocking. You should be able to get at least 5 yards or more everytime. (Considering you haven't abused this play.) PA Streaks - Play action pass play. Both WR's streak. The TE slants short. I'd audible him to slant a little deeper, left or right. He's the target. A nice assortment of short to long range pass plays are here, along with HB blast, slam, sweep, draw and FB dive. SHOTGUN-NORMAL SLOT (1TE, 3WR, 1HB) Deep In - Left WR does a comeback to the sideline. The inside left WR streaks diagonally to the right. The TE goes short, so audible him to slant left or right. The right WR deep box cuts left. The HB screens right. Take your pick. Double Smash - The inside left WR and the TE both slant to opposite sides. Hit one of them first. Both outside WR's go short, so audible them to streak, or slant both of them inside. QB Sonya Check - Almost the same play as "Deep In" above. Both outside WR's streak. The inside left WR does the diagonal streak slightly right again. Audible the TE to slant right, then he'd be the primary target. The HB screens left. There are several more short to medium range pass plays left. HB draw and off-tackle are here too. SHOTGUN-SLOT STRONG (same as above) Lots of short passing plays here. Nothing big. HB sweep and delay are in this set as well. This set is good if you need 5 yards for the first down, without getting sacked. SHOTGUN-WING TRIPS (1TE, 3WR, 1HB) Vertical TE Cross - All 3 WR's streak. The left inside WR and the 2 inside right WR's slant to opposite directions. Both outside WR's go short, so audible them to streak. I got someone open EVERY time I used this play. Thats it?! It stinks that they did so many sahort pass plays for this formation. Lots of audibles and hot routes will be needed here. I expected a hell of a lot more from this formation. If you are a master of audibling (such as myself..lol) then it should be no problem. PROS: - 3, 4, and 5 WR formations. - Pretty good running plays - Nice mixture of plays to throw off the opposition - TE's get some run CONS: - Several of the same plays in different formations. - Vulnerable to the blitz, because of the play actions - Could have better pass plays for the 5WR formation - Oh where art thou, FB? Needs more FB runs - Too many runs up the middle GRADE: PASSING - B+ RUNNING - B OVERALL - B- Lots of formations to choose from, which is good. Several formations wasted with cheesy plays, now that's bad. The running is good, but too many up the middle. You'll notice several of the same plays in different sets. Don't get me wrong this playbook isn't that bad, it just doesn't completely live up to it's potential. If you are good at audibles, this is the playbook for you. You could confuse the heck out of an opponent. I would use this playbook for mediocre type players, with overall stats of like 70 - 83. You get get everyone involved and strengthen their stats. Again, this playbook is good enough, but could be better. ============================================================================ WASHINGTON REDSKINS - Joe Gibbs SINGLEBACK-BIG (2TE, 2WR, 1HB) Corners - Both TE's streak. The passing would be perfect if they had the 5WR set. I like more FB run plays, so that's why I couldn't get a perfect score. Yeah, I know, kinda harsh but what can I say? These guys should have the arsenal considering the talent at WR. No 5 WR formations, which stinks to me. The running is pretty good, with a few FB running plays in the mix. I had to audible and hot route often, because of the short passing plays. I got blitzed a lot because of the spotty offensive line. Mediocre playbook IMO. If you only have 1 or 2 good WR's and 1 good RB, then you might like this playbook. WEAK I-NORMAL (1HB, 1FB, 1TE, 2WR) Corny short to medium pass plays.Mostly short. 3 mediocre play actions, HB strong stretch, off-tackle and FB power are here. WEAK I-TWIN WR (same as above, except 2WR's left) See above. I can see the developer's laziness kicking in...HB gut, dive, strong stretch, counter, toss weak and HB trap are some good runs though. WEAK I-CLOSE (1TE, 2WR, 1HB, 1FB) TE Fade - The left WR deep slants in. The TE diagonally streaks right. The right WR slant crosses to the far left. The HB screens left. Take your pick on this one. Don't tell me you can't find someone open on this play... Believe it or not, but nothing else stands out here. There's way too many short passes for this formation. There are a few medium to deep passes as well, but this could have been a lot better. SHOTGUN-NORMAL SLOT - (1TE, 3WR, 1HB) Deep In - The left outside WR does a medium comeback to the outside. This could have been better too. The medium range pass plays are decent, and the 2 other play actions are okay as well, but again, I expected more. HB mid-draw and off-tackle are the run plays PROS: - Lots of good play actions - Good medium range pass plays - 3, 4, and 5 WR formations - Good power running football CONS: - Too many of the same plays..."Strong Stretch" anyone? - Lots of runs up the middle - Several of the same plays repeated in different sets - Lots of audibles/hot routes will be needed - Several wasted formations GRADE: - PASSING - C+ - RUNNING - B - - OVERALL - C+ This playbook confused me. There were some points when I thought this playbook would be great, only to be let down with the developer's laziness. There are some great play actions, and I had lots of success with them because of the offensive line. The 5 WR formations I love, because I like to throw deep, but the lack of good routes plagued it for me. The medium range passing saved this playbook from getting an even lower passing grade. The running plays are smashmouth. Mostly up the middle, but with a good offensive line, I wore down the defense and boosted my time possession. I prefer to have lots of different runs to throw off the opponents. The several wasted formations frustrated me even more. This playbook isn't horrible, but it isn't great either. You might want to check out another playbook. ============================================================================= MINNESOTA VIKINGS - (Mike Tice) by **RALLO** SINGLEBACK-BIG (2TE, 2WR, 1HB) PA Deep In - Left WR box cuts right. The inside right WR deep slants in. The outside WR streaks. Take your pick, but watch the blitz. Finishing this set are a few decent medium range pass plays. Add in HB quick pitch, counter and slam. I FORM-NORMAL (2WR, 1HB, 1FB, 1TE) FB Fake HB Toss - QB fakes the handoff to the FB up the middle, then quickly tosses left to the HB, who's running left. Follow the blocking. You should be able to get at least 5 yards or more everytime. (Considering you haven't abused this play.) Deep Cross - The left WR does a sharp curl in, then breaks deep. The TE deep slants far left. The right WR does a slant left, then goes deep. The HB screens far left. Your choice. PA Streaks - Both WR's streak. The TE slants left. Audible both backs to screen to opposite sides. PROS: - 3, 4, and 5 WR formations - Excellent variety of running plays - The TE has a little fun too. - Several shotgun sets CONS: - Several of the formations could have been a lot better - You'll notice some of the same plays in different sets - Too many short pass plays - The FB gets no love (only a couple cheesy runs) GRADE: - PASSING - B+ - RUNNING - A - - OVERALL - B+ I got pissed off early, because the formations weren't living up to it's potential. Several of the same plays, lots of short passes, it just seemed boring. Then it started to pick up. The passes were more varied. Good medium range and deep range passes. I was drooling when I saw all the shotgun formations, especially the SHOTGUN-EMPTY TRIPS formation. Those are the pass plays I like. I just couldn't give the passing an A because of all the short passes and the weak formations that were a waste. The running is great, plenty of varieties, not just up the middle. I couldn't give the running an A+ because there wasn't any good FB runs. Just short ones up the middle. If these runs were equipped with some good FB variety, and the short meaningless passes in the 4 and 5 WR sets could be exchanged, for better ones, then you've got the PERFECT playbook. So I arise from my dream to say this is a very good playbook nontheless... ============================================================================= HOUSTON TEXANS - (Dom Capers) by **RALLO** SINGLEBACK-BIG (2TE, 2WR, 1HB) TE Cross - Both TE's criss-cross over the middle, and slant to opposite sidelines. Audible him to box cut a little deeper. Both HB and FB screen to opposite sides. The rest are relatively weak pass plays. There is a good play action here though. HB lead dive, toss, counter, draw, and dive. I FORM-CLOSE (2WR, 1TE, 1HB, 1FB) WR Streaks - Both WR's streak. The TE goes short, so audible him to slant left or right, and get him the ball. The rest are mediocre, medium range passes. Nothing big. HB lead dive strong, sweep, and lead dive. I FORM-BIG (2TE, 1WR right, 1HB, 1FB) Same as above, nothing big. HB lead dive, blast, FB dive strong, and Domanick toss are the run plays. STRONG I-NORMAL (1HB, 1FB, 2WR, 1TE) Ehh, while there are some decent medium range passing here, nothing really stands out here to me. CONS: - FB is almost invisible - Practically no trick plays - Vulnerable to the blitz GRADE: - PASSING - B - RUNNING - A - - OVERALL - B+ This is a decent playbook. Good, but not great. It has tremendous potential, but slows down a bit. Kind of on the conservative side; The medium pass plays are great, but it seems that they are afraid to pull the trigger. I love all the shotgun formations. I did get blitzed quite often. The running plays are top notch. I had a lot of success and fun with them. It just doesn't give the FB enough good runs. I think this is a good playbook for intermediate players. Shows flashes of excellence, but falls a bit short. =========================================================================== WEST COAST by **RALLO** SINGLEBACK-BIG WING (2WR, 2TE, 1HB) PA TE Corner - The left WR and right TE crooked post deep right. FB dive strong, FB Fake HB Toss again, HB toss and inside. PROS: - Decent run plays - FB finally has some runs - Good for short yardage passing CONS: - No 5 WR formations - No shotgun formations - No real deep like pass routes (only a few) - Boring This playbook is flat out BORING IMO. I felt like I wasted my time with this one. The singleback formations are where you will spend most of your time. There were not too many deep pass plays. Lack of shotgun formations crippled the passing game. The running was good, but not great. The FB finally gets some love in this playbook. I noticed a several repeated plays as well. Is this the fabled West Coast Offense people have been talking about? LIES!!, LIES I TELL YA! This playbook is weak. ==========================================================================
