They are in the GBA games. The way to tell wheather your Pokémon has learnt a HM move, is to go to the Move Tutor/Teach it a TM. If it will not delete the move, it is a HM. In battle - a Normal attack. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There is a HM08 (Dive) in the 3rd gen, but NOT in FR LG, so I missed it out. ===== |Mew| ===== Just a quick note here - Mew can learn any move. Also, there is a special 'Mew' move tutor that only appears in MT. BATTLE lobby when you have Mew in your Party (Or as I like to call it, the 'Mewve Tutor'). =============================== |Beldum, Magikarp and Smeargle| =============================== Just a quick note here - this gang CANNOT learn any TM moves. ============= |Move Tutors| ============= An alternate way to teach your Pokémon moves. They are located in Agate and a Move- Re-lerner in MT. BATTLE (I put him as a move tutor as some shadow Pokémon never got to learn their first few moves.) Also, in the GBA games, there was a way of breeding that you could pass on moves to the babies.(Am not going into that!!!!!!) ----------------------------------------- ________________________________________ /Section Seven: Type Matchup Chart: \ ------------------------------------------ ____________________________________________ |/\/\/\/\| | | |F| | | | | | | |E| | | | | | |\/\/\/\/| | |P|i| | | | | | | |l| | | | | | |/\/\/\/\| | |s|g| | | | |G| |F|e| | |D|P|N| Pokemon Type |\/\/\/\/|G| |y|h| | | |W|r|G|l|c|S| |r|o|o| |/\/\/\/\|h|D|c|t| |R|F|a|o|r|y|t|t| |a|i|r| |\/\/\/\/|o|a|h|i|B|o|i|t|u|a|i|r|e|I|g|s|m| |/\/\/\/\|s|r|i|n|u|c|r|e|n|s|n|i|e|c|o|o|a| |\/\/\/\/|t|k|c|g|g|k|e|r|d|s|g|c|l|e|n|n|l| |________|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | Ghost|0|-|0| | | | | | | | | |-| | | |X| Key | Dark|0|-|0|-| | | | | | | | |-| | | | | --- | Psychic| |X|-|0| | | | | | | | |-| | |0| | _ |Fighting|X|0|-| |-|0| | | | |-| |0|0| |-|0|| | = normal damage. x1 damage. | Bug|-|0|0|-| | |-| | |0|-| |-| | |-| ||0| = Super effective. x2 damage. | Rock| | | |-|0| |0| |-| |0| |-|0| |0| ||-| = Not very effective. x.5 damage. | Fire| | | | |0|-|-|-| |0| | |0|0|-| | ||X| = Immune. x0 damage. | Water| | | | | |0|0|-|0|-| | | | |-| | ||_| | Ground| | | | |-|0|0| | |-|X| |0| | |0| | | Grass| | | | |-|0|-|0|0|-|-| |-| |-|-| | | Flying| | | |0|0|-| | | |0| |-|-| | | | | |Electric| | | | | | | |0|X|-|0|-| | |-| | | | Steel| | | | | |0|-|-| | | |-|-|0| | | | | Ice| | | | | | |-|-|0|0|0| |-|-|2|0| | | Dragon| | | | | | | | | | | | |-| |0| | | | Poison|-| | | |-| | | |-|0| | |X| | |-| | | Normal|X| | | | |-| | | | | | |-| | | | | _________|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| Move Type And another Mini-One ______________________________________________ | |All of the above | Shadow | |________________|_________________|___________| |Shadow | 0 | - | |----------------|-----------------|-----------| |All of the Above| [See Above] |[See Below]| |________________|_________________|___________| The types are no different, i.e. if you had a shadow Numel, and your opponent used water pulse on it, the Numel would still take x4 damage etc. ----------------------------------------- ____________________________________ /Section Eight: Thanks To . . . \ --------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ Me - For Writing this FAQ GameFAQ's staff - (Especially CJayC) - For hosting this and all the other great FAQ's.
