[xfaqx] ============= History ============= 2013.03.02 - 1.00 - FAQ Completed and submitted. ======================== Introduction [xintx] ======================== Hi, everyone! This guide's main objective is helping you make sure you find all missables in this great game. In doing so, I'll keep it as spoiler-free as possible and you won't have to read all the walkthrough. I've arranged the Sandclouds (SC) and Fountains of Life (FL) in the order you'll see them. I'll also tell you how to unlock the original game, Prince of Persia 1. I divided this guide according to chapters, named exactly as the saves are named by the game itself. Before we get to it, I'll share some tips so your hunting gets even easier. ================ Tips [xtipx] ================ There's a total of 48 SCs (amounting to 6 extra sand tanks) and 10 FLs. While many of the SCs are easy to spot, be alert as they make a characteristic noise which helps you locate them. Sometimes you'll see or hear a SC, but you won't be able to get it until later. Don't panic, just follow this guide. Each save point corresponds to a different chapter. Some chapters don't have anything. I'll list them anyway. If you don't wanna quit the game or re-enter the sand vortex to find out what chapter you're on, you could also check the name of the chapter on the save you're overwriting (and that means you've just completed it) and you'll know you're on the next chapter. That's about it. Happy hunting! ================= Guide [xguix] ================= ----------------------------- Prologue (untitled chapter) ----------------------------- --------------------------------- The Maharajah's Treasure Vaults --------------------------------- -------------------------------------- You Have Unleashed The Sands Of Time -------------------------------------- SC01) After leaving the huge hall after releasing the sands and running after the woman in red and being separated from her by debris, go to the room on your right. It's at the bottom, under the broken stairs. SC02) After you leave the previous room, climb the debris to your right. ------------------------ Had I Really Seen Her? ------------------------ SC03) After the save point, go through the door and turn right. FL01) Go to the opposite direction from the previous SC, climb up the rubble and go through the hole, instead of going down. SC04) After the FL, go down and across the next gap. SC05) After killing the first scarabs, turn left at the end of the corridor. SC06) On your path, on the platform where you fight two scarabs. SC07) Right after the previous one, also on your path, on a higher level. SC08) At the bottom of the room where you got the last two SC. ------------------ A Secret Passage ------------------ SC09) Impossible to miss. After you leave the room and cross the large gap, it'll be right in front of you. ----------------------------- The Palace's Defense System ----------------------------- SC10) In the large area where you fight many enemies, where the next savepoint is. It's in the corner opposite to where the water fountain is. --------------------------- A Booby-Trapped Courtyard --------------------------- SC11) After you climb the ladder above the spikes and jump across two gaps, it'll be in the corner to your right. FL02) Same place as the previous SC, through the hole above it. ---------------------- Death Of A Sand King ---------------------- ---------------------------- I'll Try To Find A Way In! ---------------------------- SC12) In the area with the save-point, past the small stairs, to the right. SC13) On the edge of the bridge, in front of the door you open with the rotating switch. -------------------- Climbing The Tower -------------------- FL03) After you climb through the series of poles, wall-run past the saw and enter the blue hole on the wall. SC14) At the bottom of the large room with the rotating sets of stairs, on top of a pile of boxes. --------------- The Warehouse --------------- SC15) When you get outside, go down the stairs and turn back right. ------------------ The Sultan's Zoo ------------------ -------------------- Atop A Bird's Cage -------------------- SC16) In the cave with the scarabs, past the gate opened by the hanging lever. ----------------------- Cliffs And Waterfalls ----------------------- SC17) Easy to see. After you get to the third tree, climb down to get it. ----------- The Baths ----------- ------------------------------------ There's Something Glowing Up There ------------------------------------ SC18) Next to the lever you have to turn behind the gates. Impossible to miss. SC19) Also impossible to miss. After you climb the ladder using the block you pushed, it'll be right where you stand. ----------------- Above The Baths ----------------- SC20) After you cross the pillars on top the structure in the middle of the room from where you pushed the block, it will be on the balcony, almost impossible to miss. FL04) After you get the better sword, destroy the door nearby and, on the way down, break the cracked wall. SC21) Impossible to miss. On a platform on your path. PoP1) Right after the previous SC, there's a room with a rotating lever. Turn it clockwise twice and it will be pointing to the wall opposite to where you came from. You'll hear a gate sound. Smash that wall with your new sword and go to through the new opening. ---------------------- A Long-Buried Secret ---------------------- ---------- Daybreak ---------- ----------------------- A Soldier's Mess Hall ----------------------- SC22) Hard to miss. It's above the archway leading to the save point. When you make your way up the hall, you'll probably see it to your right, it's just a bit off you path. SC23) After Farah crawls under the door and opens it for you, the SC is in that "room", very hard to miss. ----------------- A Broken Bridge ----------------- SC24) Just head left from the save point. SC25) Impossible to miss. A bit after you see Farah on the balcony, it'll be right on you path. ---------------------------- I'll Meet You At The Baths ---------------------------- SC26) Once you get to the ground, the SC is in a corner in front of the ladder you (probably) used to get down. SC27) You'll land on it after you wall-run across the closing gate. FL05) In the room with the switch to open the door in this area, break the barrels and the wall behind them to reveal a hidden passage. SC28) When you get in the cave with the river and to the ground where you fight some scarabs, the SC is on a large rock in the middle of the river. It's possible you'll land exactly on top of it. ----------- Waterfall ----------- --------------------- A Cavern Of Ladders --------------------- SC29) Impossible to miss. Right after the set of stalagmites. -------------------------- An Underground Reservoir -------------------------- SC30) After you go through the first series of beams and ropes, you'll end up in a passage full of trap. Jump over the gap and turn left to find it. SC31) After you push the block into the water, you may see the SC on the same corner, on top of an elevated ledge. Push the block there and climb up. (This is on your path, by the way) SC32) When you get to the rope leading out of the well (the camera should aim upwards indicating that), CAREFUL, don't go up, or else you'll leave this area. Instead, swing and jump through the doorway. Jump across the gap to your left to claim it. FL06) On the platform above the previous SC (reach it by using the poles), break the wall to reveal an opening. SC33) After you exit the well, it's behind a tree. ----------------- Out Of The Well ----------------- SC34) After you get past the area with the two buttons which you have to activate by jumping from the rope and back to it, go down the stairs and turn right. -------------------- The Sultan's Harem -------------------- SC35) After you break through two walls and get past the next curtain, turn imediately left. SC36) After you see Farah through a gate and wall-run across a pit, you'll see it on the right corner. ----------------------- What Did You Call Me? ----------------------- ---------------------- The Hall Of Learning ---------------------- SC37) It's on the same platform as the first scissor-like traps you'll find, after you use the extendable bookshelf to reach a ladder. Very hard to miss. FL07) After the previous SC, you'll be attacked by some bats. Further ahead, you'll see two pairs of saws on the wall and a light crystal on another platform. Get there and break the wall to find the path. SC38) After you reach Farah, go to the left and drop off a ledge to fall right on it. You probably saw or heard this one from the ground. ----------------- The Observatory ----------------- SC39) Hard to miss. After Farah raises the platform you're on (that is, if you didn't get the glitch), it'll be right in front of you, slightly to the left. ----------------------------- Hall Of Learning Courtyards ----------------------------- SC40) Hard to miss. In the area where you fight the scarabs, on the corner closest to the stairs you came down from. SC41) After killing all enemies on the great wall, drop down to the after you get outside and see the bridge to the Tower of Dawn, drop to the area below and turn left. You might wanna get this after you kill the enemies, or even after saving--it doesn't really matter. SC42) On the same lower area as the previous SC, but on the opposite end of it. ----------------- On The Ramparts ----------------- SC43) You can also get this after you save. It's at the bottom of the prison, opposite to where you came down drom, close to a fountain. ------------------------------ A Prisoner Seeking An Escape ------------------------------ FL08) After you open the door using the block on the switch, instead of turning left and facing the blades, break the wall on the right. SC44) Impossible to miss. To the left when you enter the torture chamber. SC45) Impossible to miss. You'll probably land really close to it after swinging from a long pole. SC46) You can also get this one after saving. It's the one you saw before falling in the prison. It's on top of the stairs, past the save point. --------------------- At Last We're Here! --------------------- SC47) Absolutely impossible to miss. Right after the gate, before the bridge. SC48) When you enter the Tower of Dawn, it'll be to your right. FL09) A bit after the previous SC, there'll be a breakable wall in front of you before you turn left to the elevator. Smash it to reveal an opening. --------------- The Hourglass --------------- ---------- The Tomb ---------- ------------------- Farah, Come Back! ------------------- FL10) After you save, drop from the ledge opposite from where you came from and make your way along the ledges, into a room located under the save point. Break the wooden door there and go through it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ==== There are more chapters after "Farah, Come Back!", but since that's where NOTE: you find your last missable, there's no point in me keeping listing them ==== here. Good job, you're done! Now just focus on beating the game! =) ================ FAQs [xfaqx] ================ Q01: I can't find the sandcloud/fountain of life you mentioned! Help! A02: Don't panic! Read the instructions again carefully and you'll probably find it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'd be grateful if you could send an e-mail reporting a mistake on this FAQ. If you have any doubts, feel free to e-mail me: makosipper@gmail.com =) ===============================================================================
