This game is fairly old (released in late 2003), but I got the random urge to play this one day, and consequently decided to make this guide. Inside this guide you'll find everything you'll ever want to know about this rather fun game. If you have any comments, suggestions (or even complaints), send me an e-mail: songoku1 [at] gmail [dot] com I hope this guide helps you out and you enjoy the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) Version History ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- v1.0 (1/3/07): (48 KB) - First release - Covered the game front to back - Last release unlease someone asks me to update, or I found something in the game that's not already in this guide (unlikely) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) Table of Contents ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Introduction 2) Version History 3) Table of Contents 4) Rules of Quidditch 5) Starting the Game 6) Go to Hogwarts - 6.1 Challenges - 6.1.1 Passing - 6.1.2 Tackling - 6.1.3 Shooting - 6.1.4 Beaters - 6.1.5 Seeker - 6.2 Practice Game - 6.3 Quidditch Cup 7) Exhibition Match - 7.1 Single Player - 7.2 Multiplayer - 7.3 Connectivity 8) World Cup - 8.1 Comet 260 difficulty - 8.2 Nimbus 2000 difficulty - 8.3 Nimbus 2001 difficulty - 8.4 Firebolt difficulty 9) Quidditch Cards 10) Options 11) FAQ 12) Copyright 13) Conclusion ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) Rules of Quidditch ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is just a simple section explaining how to play Quidditch. Quidditch is the wizarding sport invented by the author of the Harry Potter books (Joanne K. Rowling). If you've never read the books, go read them! They rock. Anyway, on to the rules. The game is played on broomsticks, since it is a magical sport. Two teams face off with 7 players each. To win you have to, like in most sports, get more points than the opposing team. First I'll explain the field layout, the different balls used for the game, and the players: There are three tall hoops at each end of the field. To score, you must throw the Quaffle (a big red ball) through one of the hoops. Balls: A) Quaffle. A big red ball used to do most of the scoring. Each time the Quaffle enters through an opposing team's ring, your team gets 10 points. B) Bludgers. Black balls which are hit by Beaters (explained later) in order to knock your Chasers (also explained later) off their broom. This could be called the defense of the teams. C) Snitch. A tiny shiny golden ball with wings. The snitch flies around and tries to escape the Seekers (explained later). Once the snitch is caught, the game is automatically over, and the team who's Seeker caught the snitch gets 150 points added to their score. Players: A) Chasers. These are the main attackers of the team. They throw the Quaffle between each other and ultimately try to throw the Quaffle through one of the opposing team's ring for 10 points. B) Beaters. These guys are the main defense of the team. They have little bats they use to hit the bludgers around, and try to knock the other team's teammaters off their brooms. C) Keeper. This guy defends his own team's three rings. He'll try to block the Quaffle from going int one of your own rings. D) Seeker. This guy is always on the lookout for the Snitch. Once he finds and catches it (hopefully before the other team catches it first), the game automatically ends and his team gets 150 points. Each team of 7 players consists of the following: - 3 Chasers - 2 Beaters - 1 Keeper - 1 Seeker Basically, the Chasers try to score 10 points for their team, while the Beaters try to knock the other team off their brooms with the bludgers. The Keeper defends the goal posts, and the Seeker tries to end the game as quickly as possible by finding the Snitch and catching it before the other team's Seeker does. Simple, right? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5) Starting the Game ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once you start up the game, you'll have to choose which language you prefer. The following languages are available: - UK English - US English - Francais (French) - Deutsch (German) - Italiano (Italian) - Espanol (Spanish) - Nederlands (Dutch) - Dansk (Danish) Once you select your preferred language, you'll be brought to the main title. Press Start to enter the game. Here you'll have to choose between 4 Save Slots. This means you can have 4 different games going at once. Once you save, and come back later to load your game, you will see a percentage of how much of the game you have finished to the right of the Save Slot name. If you want to Erase a Save Slot, press Select, after which you'll get a confirmation screen. Select Yes to erase a slot. To start a new game, select any Save Slot and press A. Harry: Welcome to Hogwarts. It's time to choose which of the four House teams you'd like to take through to the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup. If your team wins, you'll be able to support an international team in the Quidditch World Cup. You can now choose which team you want to play as. The four teams are: 1) Gryffindor 2) Slytherin 3) Hufflepuff 4) Ravenclaw Note: When writing this guide I chose Gryffindor. If you chose any other team, some of the card requirments will be different, because you play against different teams. You are now in the main menu of your save game. As of now, you only have 3 options: Go to Hogwarts = Start your training Quidditch Cards = View all the Quidditch Cards, Trade Quidditch Cards Options = Change your settings (Music, Sfx, Brightness, Credits, Sleep Mode) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6) Go to Hogwarts ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 6.1 Challenges =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Harry: 's a good choice. Let's start off with some training. As of now, you can only select Challenges. Do so. Here you have a list of all challenges. I suggest you do all of them. Why? For one, you'll be an expert at everything afterwards. And you'll also unlock all Cards possible (for Training) if you finish every challenge at every level. The 5 Training choices: - Passing - Tackling - Shooting - Beaters - Seeker =============================================================================== 6.1.1 Passing =============================================================================== Harry: Eyes front! Get ready to learn some basic Chaser techniques. To test your accuracy of your passing, throw the Quaffle through as many tubes as you can. Throwing the Quaffle harder will reduce your target by two tubes. Directional Pad = Direction of Pass A Button = Launch Quaffle You'll then be able to choose the difficulty. For now, you can only do Bronze. However, before moving on to the next training, I suggest you do Bronze, Silver, and Gold. -------------------------- Bronze Passing Challenge: - 10 Tubes - 100 Seconds All you have to do is move up/down/left/right and shoot the Quaffle through the tube. You have 100 seconds to shoot through 10 Tubes. Easy. Note: If you hold the A button and charge up your power, you'll launch the Quaffle faster. Not only that, but when you shoot it through a tube after you charge it up, it'll count as 2 Tubes, instead of one. Harry: You have mastered the art of passing. This technique is very useful because passing increases your Power Bar. This bar allows you to use Special Moves and contributes towards the release of the Snitch. Cards Won: #3 - Gryffindor Chasers Congratulations! You've unlocked the Exhibition Mode. -------------------------- Now move on to the Silver Passing Challenge. -------------------------- Silver Passing Challenge: - 20 Tubes - 100 Seconds Same as Bronze, except twice as many Tubes. Again, if you charge up the Quaffle, it'll count as 2 Tubes, which means you really only have to do 10 Tubes. Cards Won: #1 - Hufflepuff Chasers Congratulations! You've unlocked the Practice Mode. -------------------------- Now Gold. -------------------------- Gold Passing Challenge: - 30 Tubes - 60 Seconds You have to do 10 more Tubes, and only have 60 seconds to do it. Once more, charge up the Quaffle to only have to do 15 Tubes. This means you have 4 seconds for each tube, which is plenty. Cards Won: #2 - Ravenclaw Chasers -------------------------- This completes the Passing Training. Pretty easy, right? =============================================================================== 6.1.2 Tackling =============================================================================== Harry: On your toes! It's time for a Chaser challenge. For this challenge, you have to win the Quaffle from the ghost of an ex-Quidditch player, Edgar Cloggs. Once you have the Quaffle, you must return it to the Quidditch ball box. Directional Pad = Fly A = Tackle Edgar B = Dodge Edgar Start the Bronze challenge. -------------------------- Bronze Tackling Challenge: - 60 Seconds Now you'll get to practice tackling. Fly to the other side of the field and Edgar's ghost will pop out of the Quidditch ball box. Fly up towards Edgar and press A to tackle him. If done right, you should be in possession of the Quaffle now (you can teel because the star under you is filled in. The person who's star is filled in is always in possession of the Quaffle. Remember this.) Now all you have to do is fly back to the box and press A to "pass" the ball into the box. Note: Get used to the flying here for a few seconds. After a little bit, you should be able to figure out how to fly and tackle correctly. Harry: You've learned how to tackle and dodge. Cards Won: #104 - Edgar Cloggs -------------------------- Now Silver. -------------------------- Silver Tackling Challenge: - 60 Seconds Same time limit, but Edgar will be harder. He'll try to dodge you now, and will generally be a bit harder to tackle. He's still not hard though, so tackle him and grab the Quaffle. On your way back to the ball box he'll probably start tackling back and possibly grab the Quaffle from you. Practice dodging with the B Button here. You'll be using this a lot during actual matches. If Edgar steals the Quaffle back, just tackle him again to get it back and make your way towards the box. Press A to pass the ball into the box, just like before. Cards Won: #4 - Slytherin Chasers -------------------------- And finally, Gold. -------------------------- Gold Tackling Challenge: - 60 Seconds Edgar will be even harder here. He'll start maneuvering around in a tricky pattern. However, the strategy is the same. Keep doing what you've been doing (Steal Quaffle, dodge Edgar's attempts to tackle you, and pass the ball into the box) and you'll win in no time. 60 seconds is plenty of time. If you're still having trouble here, I suggest you practice some more. Cards Won: #21 - Hogwarts Stadium (Summer) Congratulations! You've unlocked a new team in Practice Mode: Ravenclaw. -------------------------- This completes Tackling Training. A little more difficult, but still manageable. =============================================================================== 6.1.3 Shooting =============================================================================== Harry: You are now going to take the shooting challenge. You must attempt to shoot past the Keeper, Madam Hooch, and score 40 points within the allotted time. Directional Pad = Goal Selection A Button = Shoot at Goal B Button = Dodge Madam Hooch Start the Bronze challenge. -------------------------- Bronze Shooting Challenge: - 40 Points - 70 Seconds This is also very important. You'll practice shooting, which is the main way to score points. Some tips on scoring: - Always approach the goal rings with lots of speed. If you're slow, the chances of not scoring are much greater. If you're fast, you'll have a better chance of scoring. - Change the select goal ring often. When you approach the goal rings, change the targeted goal rings often. This may require practice, but it's definetely worth it. Doing this will confuse the opposing Keeper, which again increases your chances in scoring. - Always charge up the Quaffle. Needless to say, more power means the Quaffle travels faster, which makes it harder for the Keeper to block your shot. If you don't charge the Quaffle at all, you won't score as much. Anyway, just score 4 times (4 x 10 Points) within the 70 seconds to win this challenge. Harry: You have now learned how to score goals. In a match, scoring a goal gives your team 10 points. Cards Won: #7 - Gryffindor Keeper -------------------------- On to the Silver challenge. -------------------------- Silver Shooting Challenge: - 40 Points - 60 Seconds Same goal requirments, but this time you have 10 seconds less to do it. Keep practicing the strategies mentioned in the "Bronze Shooting Challenge". If you master those techniques, you'll be practically unbeatable in scoring. Cards Won: #27 - Madam Hooch Congratulations! You've unlocked a new team in Practice Mode: Slytherin. -------------------------- And finally, Gold. -------------------------- Gold Shooting Challenge: - 40 Points - 50 Seconds Same deal as Silver. Once again, you have 10 less seconds. By now you should be getting better at Shooting. If you feel you're not good enough, don't hesitate to practice until you master the shooting techniques. Cards Won: #5 - Hufflepuff Keeper #6 - Ravenclaw Keeper #8 - Slytherin Keeper -------------------------- You are now a master at shooting. Congratulations. =============================================================================== 6.1.4 Beaters =============================================================================== Harry: Time now for a Beater challenge. I know you can do it! In this challenge, you must protect a Chaser from Bludgers by using the Beaters. The Chaser must reach the Bludger box on the far side of the lake within the time limit. Directional Pad = Fly R Button = Call in Beater Start the Bronze challenge. -------------------------- Bronze Beater Challenge: - 44 Seconds This can be a little more difficult, since you have to multi-task. You have to control the flying of the chaser, and dodge obstacles in your path. Simply move up or down to avoid them. You also have to watch the enemy Beaters, as they'll try to hit the Bludgers toward your Chaser, which will slow him down. If he gets hit enough times, he won't make the time limit to reach the Bludger box. If you look closely, the game tells you when to hit R to call in your own Beater. Just hit R every time the game tells you (also try to get a feel for when to hit R - the game won't always tell you later on in the game) and dodge all the obstacles, which is pretty simple, and you'll make it. Harry: You have mastered the art of using the Beater to defend the Chaser. To make a Beater defend, press R; to attack an opponent's Chaser, press R. Beware! Attacking a Chaser with a Beater will drain vital power from your Power Bar! Cards Won: #11 - Gryffindor Beaters Congratulations! You've unlocked the Quidditch Cup. -------------------------- Next is Silver challenge. -------------------------- Silver Beater Challenge: - 60 Seconds The time limit is longer, but that also means you'll have to fly further to complete this challenge. This time the game also won't tell you when to press R, so you'll have to figure this out. Generally, you should hit R right after you see the enemy Beater appear. If you find you're hitting R too early, then wait about a second until after the Beater appears to press R. You can get hit about 5 times, and still make it within the time limit. If you get hit 6 or more times, you probably won't make the time limit. Cards Won: #9 - Hufflepuff Beaters -------------------------- And then just the Gold Challenge. -------------------------- Gold Beater Challenge: - 66 Seconds Once more, the time is longer, which means you'll have to fly longer. Do pretty much the same thing that you did in the Silver challenge. Since this is the Gold challenge, there will be many more obstacles. Also, the enemy Beaters appear a lot more often - every 1 to 3 seconds! Note that you can only get hit 2 times. 3 or more hits and you won't make the time limit. Even with 2 hits you'd be cutting it pretty close. Cards Won: #10 - Ravenclaw Beaters #12 - Slytherin Beaters Well Done! You've learned a new Special Move. Harry: You can now make a special tackle! This tackle guarantees control of the Quaffle. This move will drain your Power Bar. Launch special tackle (without Quaffle): L + A -------------------------- This finishes off the Beaters Training. =============================================================================== 6.1.5 Seeker =============================================================================== Harry: Let's have a go at the Seeker challenge. I hope you're ready! Hagrid has sighted a Golden Snidget in the grounds. The school's Seekers need to catch it so that it can be safely returned to a Snidget Sanctuary. Directional Pad = Fly A Button = Use Boost Harry: Following the trial left behind by the Snidget will increase your speed. Picking up the globes on either side of the trail will increase your Power Bar. Start with the Bronze challenge. -------------------------- Bronze Seeker Challenge: - 60 Seconds This is one of the harder challenges. But it's necessary to win most matches for the future. What you have to do is catch the little golden snitch (called snidget in this game). How quickly you catch it depends on your Power Bar at the top. You'll have to use your boost (using the A Button) which makes you fly faster and allows you to gain on the snitch. If you follow the path of the Snitch, you'll gain more Power for your boost. There's also little globes that appear every now and then to the left and right of the trail left by the Snitch. Collecting these will also increase your Power Bar. One strategy you should practice: Don't use all your boost at once. If you get too close to the Snitch, then you'll probably miss out on all the Globes. Instead, get relatively close to the Snitch, then fill up your Power Bar, then give it one full blast push, which will hopefully be enough to get close enough and catch the Snitch. This takes practice. The bar at the top indicates two things: 1) How much Power/Boost you have 2) How much Power/Boost the opposing Seeker has The bar to the left of the little Snitch indicates your Power, and therefore how much Boost you have. Once you face another Seeker (you will in the Silver and Gold challenge), the opposing Seeker's Power Bar will be to the right of the little Snitch. As you collect Globes, you decrease the opposing Seeker's maximum Power Bar, meaning your Power Bar will be larger than his. The opposing Seeker's can do the same to you, so watch out for this. Cards Won: #15 - Gryffindor Seeker Harry: You have now learnt how to catch the Snitch. The Seeker who catches the Snitch gains 150 points for their team and also ends the match. -------------------------- On to Silver. Keep practicing. -------------------------- Silver Seeker Challenge: - 60 Seconds This time you'll be racing another Seeker, so you'll have to battle him for the Snitch. The opposing Seeker will collect the Globes as well, so try to beat him to those first. The little bar to the left obviously indicates how close you are to the Snitch. You'll see a little figure for you, and one for the opposing Seeker. This just gives you an idea of how far you are ahead and if he's catching up to you. Just keep practicing, not much else I can say. Try to figure out when the best times are to use your Boost, as this will be very important. Cards Won: #13 - Hufflepuff Seeker -------------------------- And the last Challenge, Gold: -------------------------- Gold Seeker Challenge: - 60 Seconds This is the final challenge in the Training (if you did them in order). The opposing Seeker will be tougher and better. Just keep practicing and figuring out when to use the Boost. Also try to guess which side of the trail the Globes will appear on and grab them that way. Note that you can also attack the opposing Seeker. Fly into him and press B when you make contact. This will slow him down and give you quite a lead. Make use of this skill for an easier win. Cards Won: #14 - Ravenclaw Seeker #16 - Slytherin Seeker -------------------------- This is it for the Challenges. Now go do a Practice Game to practice your skills, or go on to the Quidditch Cup. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 6.2 Practice Game =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This allows you play a simple practice game against the computer. If you had trouble with the Challenges, I suggest you come here and play a game or too to get the feel for the game. Even if you found the challenges easy, I still suggest doing at least 1 Practice Game. In the Challenges you did everything one thing at a time, but here you get your first taste of throwing everything together. Controls: Directional Pad = Fly R Button = Call in Beater A = Launch Quaffle / Tackle B = Dodge Advanced Controls: L + A = Launch Special Move You then have to choose who you want to play against. For the sake of getting all the cards, and of course for the practice, I suggest you play a practice game against every team. Cards Won: If you beat Hufflepuff: #28 - Hufflepuff Special Move 1 #31 - Ravenclaw Special Move 1 #34 - Gryffindor Special Move 1 #37 - Slythern Special Move 1 If you beat Ravenclaw: #29 - Hufflepuff Special Move 2 #32 - Ravenclaw Special Move 2 #35 - Gryffindor Special Move 2 #38 - Slytherin Special Move 2 If you beat Slytherin: #30 - Hufflepuff Special Move 3 #33 - Ravenclaw Special Move 3 #36 - Gryffindor Special Move 3 #39 - Slytherin Special Move 3 After you get all these cards, you'll learn a new Special Move. Harry: You can now take a special shot on the goals! Launch the Quaffle for a guaranteed 10 points. This move will drain your Power Bar. Launch special shot (with Quaffle): L + A Some things to take note of when playing: 1) The more points you have than the enemy, the higher your Boost Bar will be when you enter the Snitch-catching scene. 2) The computer's main strategy (throughout the entire game) is zooming towards your goal posts, then suddenly turning around, which will probably make you stop chasing him and stopping to get the Quaffle. Then the computer will pass the Quaffle WAY down the field to a lone team member who is flying around your goal posts. This means the computer will be able to shoot at the goal posts with none of your members around him. Keep this in mind. How to initiate the Snitch-catching scene: 1) Notice how there's a half of a snitch on the left side, and the other half on the right side. The left side is your power meter, the right side is your power meter. Once these two Snitch halves meet, the Snitch-catching scene will begin. Now how do you increase your Power Bar? Passing increases your Power Bar a little bit. Tackling (obviously) increases it as well. Note that scoring will NOT increase your Power Bar, only passing and tackling will. If you use any Special Moves you've unlocked, they will decrease your Power Bar. -------------------------- Snitch-catching scene: The Power Bars from the actual match carry over and determine your Boost Bars. Therefore, the more points you scored, the more Boost you will have. Collecting the Globes will increase your Boost Bar and decrease the opponent's Boost Bar a little bit. Always try to grab as many Globes as you can. -------------------------- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 6.3 Quidditch Cup =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Harry: Ok! Let's play for the Quidditch Cup! Our team will play against the other three Hogwarts houses. The winner will be the team with the most points after every match has been played. Note: After every match, you can choose to rematch the team if you don't like the score. For tips on the actual game, read section "6.2 Practice Game". That is where I listed how the game works, and tips on how the computer plays. Here I will just list the different matches, the cards you win after every match, and any other things you unlock. Once again, if you want strategy, read section "6.2 Practice Game". Every single match will play off those basics. You can expect the games to get tougher as you go along, though. A few more notes on the Quidditch Cup ranking: What matters here is not necessarily whether you win or not (Winning only gets you the cards), but by how many points you score. Whoever has scored the most points alltogether after every match is played will be the winner of the Quidditch Cup. -------------------------- 1st Match: Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff Cards Won: #22 - Hufflepuff Team Photo #23 - Ravenclaw Team Photo #25 - Gryffindor Team Photo #26 - Slytherin Team Photo Well Done! You've unlocked the Nimbus Two Thousand skill level. -------------------------- 2nd Match: Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Cards Won: #17 - Hufflepuff House Logo #18 - Ravenclaw House Logo #19 - Gryffindor House Logo #20 - Slytherin House Logo -------------------------- 3rd Match: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin Cards Won: #24 - Hogwarts Staidum (Winter) #40 - Hogwarts Quidditch Cup (Hufflepuff) #41 - Hogwarts Quidditch Cup (Ravenclaw) #42 - Hogwarts Quidditch Cup (Gryffindor) #43 - Hogwarts Quidditch Cup (Slytherin) #103 - Queerditch Marsh Well Done! You can now use the Team Moves! Well Done! You've unlocked the Nimbus Two Thousand and One skill level. Fantastic! You've unlocked the Quidditch World Cup! Excellent! You can now play as international teams in Exhibition Mode! Harry: A Team Move is now available! Each Team Move guarantees 30 points but will drain your Power Bar dramatically. Launch Team Move (with Quaffle): L + B Dumbledore: It is with great pleasure that I award this year's Quidditch Cup to... Gryffindor! And to those of you who'll be attending this year's Quidditch World Cup, have a wonderful time and don't forget to take your Omnioculars... Harry: Ready to go to the Quidditch World Cup? It'll be brilliant - the best teams in the world are going to be playing. See you there! -------------------------- Now that you've won the Quidditch Cup, and unlocked almost half the cards (if you've done everything so far, you should have 45 Cards), head over to the World Cup. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7) Exhibition Match ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you go here, you can choose between 3 different options. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 7.1 Single Player =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is similar to Practice Game. 1) You first choose the Difficulty (Comet 260, Nimbus 2000, Nimbus 2001, Firebolt). 2) Then you choose YOUR team (Can be any of the international teams you've unlocked, or one of the 4 Hogwarts Houses). 3) Then you choose your opponents team. This can either be: a) If your team is one of the 4 Hogwarts Houses, then your opponent has to also be one of the 3 remaining Hogwarts Houses. b) If you chose an international team, your opponent has to to also be an international team, though it can't be the same one as yours. 4) Then you choose the field you want to play. This can either be: a) If the two teams are Hogwarts Houses, you'll have to choose between "Hogwarts" or "Queerditch Marsh" (if you've unlocked it). b) If the two teams are international teams, you'll have to choose between one of the international stadiums. Then you just go on and play against the opponent you chose, controlled by the Computer. There are no cards to unlock here, so just play this for fun if you want. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 7.2 Multiplayer =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Connect 2 GBAs together to play each other. I've never done this so I have no info on this. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 7.3 Connectivity =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Connect your GBA to your Nintendo GameCube and face off there. I've never done this so I have no info on this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8) World Cup ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Harry: Well, we've made it to the Quidditch World Cup! Let's choose a team to support. If you have enough Quidditch Cards, you'll be able to choose a skill level for all the World Cup games. And remember, the better the broom, the faster the games! You now get to choose a skill level. If you've gotten everything so far, you'll get to choose between Comet 260, Nimbus 2000, and Nimbus 2001. Start off with Comet 260 difficulty for now. Then you have to choose a team to support. I picked USA since that's where I live. Note: The games are the same as always. See Section 6.2 for more info. Also, since this is the World Cup, it will be harder than the Quidditch Cup and also increase with difficulty after every Match. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= 8.1 Comet 260 difficulty =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -------------------------- 1st World Cup Match: USA vs. England Cards Won: #61 - Japan Special Move 1 #66 - England Special Move 1 #67 - England Special Move 2 #68 - England Special Move 3 -------------------------- 2nd World Cup Match: USA vs. Japan Cards Won: #46 - Germany Special Move 1 #47 - Germany Special Move 2 #62 - Japan Special Move 2 #63 - Japan Special Move 3 -------------------------- 3rd World Cup Match: USA vs. Germany Cards Won: #48 - Germany Special Move 3 #71 - Spain Special Move 1 #72 - Spain Special Move 2 #73 - Spain Special Move 3 Well Done! Answer: If you like Harry Potter and want to play some Quidditch like Harry, then I say go ahead and get this game. I would only rent it though. It's not worth it to buy it, so it'll probably be very cheap by now (it was released in later 2003). =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Question: How do I get card #XXX? Answer: Check Section 9 - Quidditch Card. I list every card and how to unlock them. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Question: What are the difficulty levels and what's the difference between them? Answer: The different difficulty levels are: Comet 260 (Easiest) Nimbus 2000 (Easy) Nimbus 2001 (Normal) Firebolt (Hard) For one, the game is faster. The opponent players are also quicker and can maneuver around better. They will tackle you more, move faster than you, and have an easier time scoring goals. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Question: Why did you make a guide for this even though the game is so old? Answer: Dunno, really. I just randomly found this game after a very long time, had the urge to play it, and just randomly decided to write a guide for it. Plus I knew it wouldn't take long to finish (I finished it in 24 hours). =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Question: Are you going to make guides for other Harry Potter games? Answer: As of right now, I plan to. But we'll see how that works out. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Question: I have a question. Can I e-mail you...? Answer: Sure. My e-mail is at the bottom in the Conclusion section. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12) Copyright ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This document is Copyright 2006 Lufia_Maxim and is the intellectual property of the author. Finished the whole guide in 24 hours real time, though it only took about 5-6 hours to finish. To my knowledge, everything that's in the game is in this guide. If you think otherwise, feel free to send me an e-mail at: songoku1@gmail.com Unless anything drastically changes (which I doubt), or I made some stupid mistake in the guide, I won't be updating this.
