INTRODUCTION G0100 =============================================================================== Welcome to 'Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy' for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Amaze Entertainment and released by LucasArts in September 2006. Suggestions, comments or errors - tell me about it. Enjoy! =============================================================================== 02.) BASICS G0200 =============================================================================== The player has life hearts in the top left corner. By getting hit one is lost each time, and you lose all in one go by dropping down ledges or into an abyss. Hearts replenish the counter, and these are dropped by most enemies and are hidden inside objects you destroy. You have unlimited lives but each time you die some studs will drop out and you need to quickly pick them back up before they disappear. Sometimes they are lost forever and you end up missing out on the studs target. Studs are money in Lego Star Wars. Silver Studs are worth 10, Gold Studs 100, and Blue Studs 1,000 each. Apart from collecting enough to fill the True Jedi counter, they are only used in the cantina to purchase unlockables. Nearly everything you do awards you with studs, from collecting them just lying around and building Lego panels, to shooting and destroying items in the area. You will soon get the hang of what can be destroyed for studs so I will not mention anything like it in the walkthrough section. Controls: ````````` D-Pad - Move A - Jump/Jetpack B - Attack Right Shoulder - Special Ability (if applicable) Left Shoulder - Special Ability (if applicable) Start - In-game menu Select - Switch between team members in Free Play Mode The D-Pad lets you walk around in the area. As soon as you have a second character you can take control of, use the SELECT button to switch. You have to stand close-by to that character. When you play FREE PLAY mode you take several characters into the level, one for each type as long as they are available. On the screen you only control one person and no-one is in your team, but pressing SELECT cycles through the available characters. Using elevators is done with the R shoulder button. Stand on it to ride down, and if you want to call it down to you just stand nearby while pressing the button. Most characters can jump, all but maybe 3-CPO and other droids. Jumps are performed with the A button. R2 and others can hover using their jet engines. Fighting is done depending on your character. Blaster wielders will fire a shot with the B button, whereas Jedis will slash with the lightsaber. When find some studs lying around then you can most likely build something with them, such as a control panel. Hold down the R button to get working. Unlike some version of the game, on the GBA you can not get shot/disturbed while building. Different control panels are used by different people. If you get close you will see a small icon of what kind of person is able to interact with it. After using a control panel to open a door or raise a bridge, you should not leave the area or else it will revert to its original status. This can get really annoying at a few parts during the game if you enter a room by mistake and have to re-do a lot of things. Force users can hold R to move the objects that have sparks surrounding them. This also includes scenery items that will spaw out studs. Anyone who can use a light saber can also throw it with the L button. This works like a long-range attack and destroys scenery as well as damages enemies. When you are in control of a ship, press UP to go faster and left and right to steer. You will also go at a slow rate and cannot fully stop. A is for laser fire and B for a special shot. The latter is either a plasma shot for taking out turrets, or a cable for attaching to something (i.e. enemies). Reverse the vehicle with the R shoulder button. Hints: `````` These hints can be bought at the bar in the cantina, but even though they are very cheap they are also very basic and you can simply read about them here: Hint 1: (200) Collect studs throughout the game. The more you collect, the more you can buy! Hint 2: (200) Finding all 10 mini-kits in each chapter unlocks characters for use in Freeplay. Hint 3: (200) Some character abilities allow you to access different areas, which you can look for in Freeplay. Hint 4: (200) Fill the bar at the top of the screen for 'True Jedi' status and a stud bonus. Hint 5: (200) Stormtroopers are easy to fool and will not engage one of their own. Wear a helmet to sneak by. Hint 6: (200) Ben Kenobi can freeze enemies on screen with his Jedi mind tricks. Hint 7: (200) The vehicles controls can be changed in the options menu. Hint 8: (200) Force abilities are different when free playing dark side characters. =============================================================================== 03.) WALKTHROUGH G0300 =============================================================================== Story Mode: ``````````` You have to complete a chapter under this mode first to unlock the next one in this episode. Finishing Chapter 1 of Episode IV also unlocks Episode IV and V. If you finish the True Jedi bar at the top of the screen by collecting a certain amount of studs then you will receive an extra stud bonus. Once the bar is flashing you can lose as many points as you like, it will still stay on the True Jedi status. Each episode has 10 Min-kit Canisters to find, which unlocks characters to use in Free Play. You cannot find all 10 by playing the Story Mode alone. This is where Free Play comes into action. Free Play: `````````` Revisit previously completed chapters without the pre-set characters. This allows opening doors you couldn't before, using hooks or machines as well as reaching areas that were previously not available. This mode also has a True Jedi bar with an increased amount of studs required. In order to take one of each type of character into the level you must first unlock them. If you try to replay a level too early you will most likely find that you still cannot find all the secret locations and access every mini-kit in the level. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- STORY MODE G0310 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EPISODE IV G0311 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mos Eisley Cantina: ``````````````````` You start off in the hub of the game. Here you can walk into one of the three doors to start playing the episodes IV, V and VI respectfully. Right now only the first chapter of Episode IV is available. The bartender serves as a shop for you, where you can purchase hints (they are very basic but also very cheap), Characters to use in Free Play mode as well as Extras to unlock during the game. The fourth option is for inputting a code that warps you to a certain level. The only thing apart from starting the first chapter of Episode IV is to shoot the plants to get some small stud amount and purchase the first few hints if you want to read them. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY CHARACTERS: Princess Leia (Senator) | | Rebel Trooper | | | | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: - | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 1: Blockade Runner `````````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 14,100 After the first scene, run into the room on the left (the game will point you to there as well). There are no enemies in here, but two boxes to shoot and if you go up the ramp the first MINI-KIT. Go back out and continue on the corridor going south. Rebuild the control panel but continue on through the door on the right. Step on the elevator and ride it down. Go through to door on the south side and shoot all the containers. Walk along the corridor going west and you will meet C-3PO and R2-D2. Enter the room behind them by shooting at the button. Inside you have to step on the three floor buttons in the correct order to lower the shield. This will give you access to the MINI-KIT. Rather than following R2, go right and up the elevator. Shoot everything up here including the force field generator. Drop down on the right and you will find yourself in familiar territory. Go north and build the panel you see. Use it as 3PO and enter the room. Shoot all the things (the barrel has a Stormtrooper inside) for some studs. Run back out and run all the way south as before but this time continue south to drop down again. Build the control panel and use it as 3PO. You will also find a MINI-KIT. Go back up but before heading right into the room you have just opened. After a short talk you will be in another area of the ship. Run around and pick up all the studs, then build a panel near the only door out of here. Use it and go through. Build the panel for studs, however, you can not use it in Story Mode. Continue on and shoot the large button near the door around the corner. Enter it for a scene. Collect stuff and a MINI-KIT before heading back out. To the south you will see R2 zooming away, following him to the right side of the area and build a panel. You will find R2 behind the force field. There is also another MINI-KIT. Drop down to the large room and collect studs. At the east side is an elevator that leads to another MINI-KIT. Leave via the eastern door and build a bridge. Build a panel in the next area. Enter it with any character as it only leads to a short scene. Re-open the door and this time enter with the Rebel Trooper to find plenty of things to shoot for studs. Run back out and drop down. Shoot the force field generator and ride the right elevator up. Shoot the power generator that was behind it to unlock the door. As a joke, you can try to shoot the button that is next to the door to see what good it does. Ignore the panel pile (unless you are still desperate for studs) and ignore the button in front of you as well. Build and use the upcoming panel with 3PO. Inside is a small crowd of enemies and when they are dead the first field will fall. Another wave of enemies are behind it so take them on as well and the second field is down too. Your reward is a MINI-KIT. Continue all the way around to the other side of the area and shoot the buttons to open up force fields. Behind the second one panel is a captain guarding a statue. Shoot the statue a few times to find a hidden MINI-KIT. Now build the panel you passed just a moment ago and open it up to find the escape pods. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY CHARACTERS: C-3PO | | R2-D2 | | Padawan Luke Skywalker | | | | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: - | | | | FREE PLAY BLOCKADE RUNNER | | EPISODE V | | EPISODE VI | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 2: Tatooine ``````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 35,100 From on I won't be taking you by the hand and tell you about each single item you can shoot for studs. It is up to you to shoot scenery items to collect enough to complete the True Jedi requirement, if you wish to do so. Start going north and turn left when you can. Build the blocks to reach a MINI- KIT high up. Go to the right and jump over the gap to meet R2-D2. Build him a bridge and continue north. Shoot the tall wall a few times to destroy it. The wide area leads northeast where a scene automatically takes over. This also means you cannot get the canister for now. Defeat all the enemies with Obi-Wan, then continue northeast to his house. In the camp, first jump high up to find a MINI-KIT. You need to use Obi- Wan to reach it. Massacre everyone as you make your way northeast until you find another MINI-KIT. Continue around to the southeast to leave the area. In the Wastes, proceed north and build a bridge (uh-oh, mini-ambush). Up on the hill you may already run into Stormtroopers. On the right a huge pit you want to avoid, so go around it and jump high up to the MINI-KIT. There is another MINI-KIT just to the right of the large vehicle. Jump into the speeder to leave the area. At Mos Eisley Spaceport, there is a MINI-KIT as you go right a bit. The path on the right is blocked off so just take the left one into the cantina. You can find Han on the right side as you enter. Jump on the stage nearby to collect the MINI-KIT before heading back out. The path on the right is open but first Obi-Wan must force-build a bridge. The Docking Bay looks similar to the Spaceport at first, and it even has the same path on the northeast side. Jump over it with Obi-Wan (the button drops a few studs) and collect a MINI-KIT. By going north you will find the Millennium Falcon, but first continue right to find another MINI-KIT. Now enter the ship to complete the level, taking note you only missed the canister the game would not let you... __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY CHARACTERS: - | | | | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: Luke Skywalker (Tatooine) (5,000) | | Obi Wan Kenobi (2,000) | | Chewbacca (3,500) | | | | FREE PLAY TATOOINE | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 3: Death Star Rescue ```````````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 18,800 You start off in the hangar with the two bots, getting shot at from all directions. There is not a lot do in this are, so run east. There is a very large gap in the middle of this room, and some panels in the bottom right corner. Stand on the first one to turn it green and then run around to the other side to switch them all on. After that is done, one blue stud (worth 1,000) will appear on each side of the sequence. Grab the both. Near the top left is ramp. Build the control panel at the bottom and let R2 use it. Inside you will find the first MINI-KIT and some plants. Leave and go up the ramp to find another control panel for R2. Note the slightly tougher enemies here as well. Run along the corridor and turn north when you can. There is a huge pile of blue Lego blocks to build, but only for some studs. At the end of this path are also just some extra stud boxes. What you have to do now is to use of your human characters (Chewbacca won't do) to wear a Stormtrooper helmet at the dispenser. Use the control panel to the south. Don't miss out on the MINI- KIT in the corner here! Jump over the gap and continue to the TIE Fighter Hangar. You automatically lose your helmet, too bad. Not to worry, run down on this side of the room and turn at the end. There is another dispenser here, as well as a MINI-KIT. Lower the force field in the main area and go through, up the block you build and through the door at the other end. Run down to the south and then a little east. You will find a generator to shoot, which lowers a force field. You will also spot a MINI-KIT there straight away so pick that up, too. Continue through to an elevator. Shoot one of the buttons straight ahead to gain access to the room behind. They both lead to the same one. There is a MINI-KIT in there. Back outside, notice another large door leading north. You can go in there, fight lots of guys and collect some studs, then use R2 on the control panel to open up the same door you came in with, but you can't do anything special in that room without a Jedi. Thus, from this position go south and build the panel. Collect a helmet so you can use it, then continue south all the way. There is a panel for R2 to use, if he's not around then run around a few seconds so he joins your team. Run all the way back north to the doors I told you not to enter, then turn right where the force field was dropped a moment ago. This room has one MINI- KIT in plain sight, stand on the rubble in the corner to reach it though. In the Detention Block, take the east corridor to the very end. Destroy the force field power generator and then take the northern path from the central area. At the end you will be in the right cell. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY CHARACTERS: - | | | | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: Luke Skywalker (Trooper) (8,000) | | Han Solo (Trooper) (8,000) | | | | FREE PLAY DEATH STAR RESCUE | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 4: Death Star Escape ```````````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 15,000 You start in the same level as before, just on the other side. At the north side is a button to shut off the force field. The door following this is once again less useful without a Jedi, so ignore it. You can go in and find around 800 studs though. Instead, take the path going the opposite way and at the end is a MINI-KIT in plain sight. Return to the door and go along the west corridor to an exit. Go around and through the force field, then turn left and go south all the way for a MINI-KIT. Go the only other way you have no been and the scene switches to R2 and 3PO. Collect the few studs and use the panel. As the other guys, continue north and open the door to the TIE Fighter Hangar. Drop down on the west side and run south to the end. Run east into the room for a MINI-KIT. Take the west path to the next area. Follow the linear corridor and continue north at the split. It leads to the fourth MINI-KIT at the end. Turn around and take the western path this time. The exit to this place is at the southwest. Simply run into the Millenium Falcon to end this level. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY CHARACTERS: - | | | | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: Han Solo (600) | | | | FREE PLAY DEATH STAR ESCAPE | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 5: Trench Run ````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 24,000 To fly the X-Wing use the D-Pad. Fire your lasers against fliers and let go a plasma bomb for ground turrets. You can reverse the spacecraft with shoulder button. Turrets drop hearts whereas spacecrafts drop studs. They slowly respawn in most areas and you will have to do a lot of needless waiting and fighting them to get the true Jedi studs collected. Also note that enemies drop more points if there are none lying around from a previously destroyed craft. Shooting them down individually after collecting the studs will stretch out the rather thin amount in this level. In the first part simply keep straight going northeast a little but not too much. You should be flying past a wall on the right with several turrets. At the end is your first MINI-KIT. Turn left and enter the passage in the corner that does not look like it is open. This leads you to another area which contains a MINI-KIT in the top left corner. You may go back and forth to this place for shooting down more TIE Fighters and racking up studs. Return to the previous area and fly slightly to the right to continue. You cannot return once you enter. After the short corridor start going dead south to find the third MINI-KIT amongst a large amount of turrets further south. You may have noticed the counter in your display - this means you must destroy this number of Tie Fighters or Turrets before the path to the next area is unlocks. When done, fly east to the next trench. Stay at the south side and follow the wall along to your fourth MINI-KIT in the corner. There is a bit of a cash haul in the northern section if you want to risk the excursion. It is the best the level has to offer aside from dogfights with the enemy. In the Exhaust Port there are to more MINI-KITS to be found. One is in the northwest corner and the other in the southeast. There is also a specific Tie Fighter patrolling the area which drops a MINI-KIT when destroyed. This should make your total seven by now. There is one particular turret covering the exhaust of the Death Star. Simply bomb it like the other ones and the whole thing will go boom. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY VEHICLES: - | | | | PURCHASABLE VEHICLES: X-Wing Fighter (5,000) | | | | FREE PLAY TRENCH RUN | \_______________________________________________________________________/ ********* EPISODE V ********* Chapter 1: Hoth Battle `````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 4,500 All you have to do here is defeat the four AT-ATs (All Terrain Armored Transport). The game ends when this is accomplished. They all come from the northeast and will slowly advance to the power generator in the southwest. Nothing will happen when they arrive, only that they pile up and will be a bigger threat to your health. There is also a MINI-KIT near the first one and another MINI-KIT at the end of the field which has a pile of gold studs behind it. As mentioned at the beginning, you have to destroy the AT-ATs. To do so you make use of your tow cable which will attach to their legs and then fly small circles around one. If you get too far away the cable will detach and you have to restart. Also you need to be fast and maybe a little bit further away at the front or else you will be hit by its laser. After a few circles they will drop down on the ground which gives you the chance to shoot them to pieces. You can take as much time as you want once it is down as it will never get up again (unlike some other games in the series). This level can take you as little as two minutes. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY VEHICLES: - | | | | PURCHASABLE VEHICLES: SnowSpeeder (4,000) | | | | FREE PLAY HOTH BATTLE | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 2: Hoth Escape `````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 14,000 Right at the start you can jump up to a MINI-KIT. Jump over the remaining gap and find yet another MINI-KIT in the corner. Outside turn south and shoot the shield generator. Stand on the block behind it to reach the MINI-KIT high up. Return to the room you left 3PO to make him follow. Walk around the room and this time go north and shoot the shield generator here. Shoot the other one for points and build the door panel. Get 3PO to open the door. Do not switch back yet because he will also need to open the door in the next corridor. Inside you will find a few troopers and a MINI-KIT as well as a few well-worth chests to shoot. Back in the main room, jump on the X-Wing in the middle to find a MINI-KIT at the top. Go to the north and build the panel to have 3PO remove the shield to the transport bay. First off, there is the last MINI-KIT (for now) in the north hiding behind a snowman. Repair the Millenium Falcon and six Snowtroopers will appear. Shoot them all and enter the ship to leave. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY CHARACTERS: - | | | | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: General Han Solo (3,000) | | Princess Leia (Hoth) (3,000) | | | | FREE PLAY HOTH ESCAPE | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 3: Asteroid Chase ````````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 5,700 (?) The Millenium Falcon shoots at the nearest target even if you are not aiming at it too well. This is good in one way, but also does not guarantee you are going to hit what you really want all the time. There is only one area in the entire level and it is too complicated to explain in detail. There are two kinds of asteroids that will constantly re-appear and plenty of TIE Fighters around. You can find all 10 MINI-KITs in the area right now if you look long enough (it only took me 3 to 4 minutes the first time played, randomly flying around). When you have them all or had enough, fly north where you will see a trail of gold studs that will lead to the escape. The scene that follows is almost longer than the level itself. The only problem with this level is the low stud amount you will find yourself in. You have to be quick in collecting all the studs from the TIE Fighters as their number is limited and nothing else but a few studs spread around the area can be found in this area. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY VEHICLES: - | | | | PURCHASABLE VEHICLES: Millenium Falcon (10,000) | | Vader TIE Advance (3,000) | | | | FREE PLAY ASTEROID CHASE | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 4: Cloud City Trap `````````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 39,000 Start out by shooting the stuff around you, especially the obstacle dropping a blue stud! At the next junction is a shield generator, shoot it and go straight to find a MINI-KIT and arrive in a corridor with a button. Inside is a docking station. Open the barrier with 3PO for your second MINI-KIT. Return to the junction and go to other way (east) behind where the barrier was. The end of this path leads to another button which opens a door. Inside you will find a good amount of studs. Back at the junction, go west and walk to the end for some more objects to shoot but the game continues down the ramp. In the next section, follow the corridors to a door with a button. Inside you can re-build 3PO for a MINI-KIT. Continue along and Lando will join your party. There is another MINI-KIT just next to the meeting point. If you go north you will soon come across a platform to build and a MINI-KIT above. This corridor only leads to some more points so up to you if you turn around or not. Back where you met up with Lando is a panel only he can use. You may also have noticed some of these in previous levels. Go through the door he can open for a short scene. You restart near the Art Gallery room which may have respawned its content and worth another destructive visit. Of course you took notice that the corridors are now filled with Imperial troops so this just got more tricky. Fight your way southeast and the MINI-KIT on the way should not be missed. Turn east here and follow all the way to the first area of the level. Go up the ramp, turn right and use the panel with Lando for a new path. Continue to the junction and pick up the MINI-KIT. There is only one way to go which is north and as you turn around to the east you will finally make use of R2 to open a shield barrier. Jump to the next section (with Luke of course). In the chamber, try to ignore Vader at the moment and instead go around the top and jump over to the vents which contains a MINI-KIT each which should bring your total to six. Now confront Darth Vader and at first you have to get into a duel and bash the button to win. Once the first two blows were dealt he will be open for more damage. There is a MINI-KIT a the very front an another one as you continue around the other side. Now return to where you dropped down and go north to the smaller ships. There is a MINI-KIT waiting on this one and another one as you cross the bridge. The bridge will blow up and you can not return at this point. Jump over to the southern ship, which is actually much trickier than it should be. Stand on the railing and make it other railing too, landing at the front of this ship will still kill you unfortunately. As I said, this is tricky. The other boat homes the ninth MINI-KIT and Boba Fett. To kill him, first use the force as it hovers nearby. He will not approach if you stand at the edge so luring him over is the key. Once he is dizzy you should quickly jump to the other boat (this is much easier as you can now stand on the front compared to on the way back). Boba Fett will now be on the ground and you can slice and dice him with your saber. If you are quick enough in all this you can even take him out in one go, but usually he will recover his jetpack and fly around again. Repeat the force method and hopefully you will manage to jump on the other ship without much dying. If you take too long for the second attempt then just do it again and he should be dead on the third try. This ends the level. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY CHARACTERS: - | | | | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: R2-Q5 (6,200) | | | | FREE PLAY SARLACC PIT | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 3: Speeder Chase ```````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: ? This level is really, really straightforward. The path is always, always one direction with no paths that split up. Your only enemy are other speed chasers who are not too tough. It may be easier just to avoid them as you race across those dead straight paths but often the pile up and you might as well hold down the fire button to get rid of some quickly. There is only one junction in the level but this one is blocked off. Remember it for the Free Play though. You can find six MINI-KITs in plain sight, always in the middle of the path. They are almost un-missable. When you reach the bunker it looks like you may have to shoot down those power barriers, but they are all off and you can simply dash for the bunker itself which is already open. Maybe they meant to do something special here and forgot in the end. I am unaware of the True Jedi requirement, I am guessing around 20-30,000. It is not too hard but you will need to battle a lot of speeders and also blow up those powered-up barriers. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY VEHICLE: - | | | | PURCHASABLE VEHICLE: Speeder Bike - Rebel (700) | | | | FREE PLAY SPEEDER CHASE | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 4: Endor Battle ``````````````````````` True Jedi Requirement: 17,200 After this really long cutscene you finally gain control of your guys. This first run skips a few alternative paths because they can not fully be used until Free Play. Jump up the steps, build the little platform to continue and ignore the path going left at the top. Instead go northeast along a straight line, jumping over a small trench and the next section will come up soon. As you walk along you want to U-turn towards the right and come back south. There is a small drop. Follow the area around to the east and north for a short scene at the bunker. Shoot the three guys guarding it and enter for a scenery change. Inside the bunker, kill the officers in the first room and begin the challenge in the second. When done you finally get your first MINI-KIT. Kill the guys in the next room for a scene. Back in the forest, run northeast and turn right when can, leading to the next area. Here you have to destroy five AT-STs (All Terrain Scout Transports). The area is a little difficult to explain but easy to get around. Go around the northern platform and build the trap. Lure the AT-ST over so it gets trashed. A nearby panel can be activated by 3PO and if you build the small platform you can reach a MINI-KIT above. Towards the middle you should find another AT-ST which a booby trap nearby. Set it and see it explode. On the east side is a bunch of trees and shrubbery which have another AT-ST trap behind them. Now go towards the south, jumping over the trench here. Avoid the AT-ST and build the explosive trap it will walk into. Collect the MINI-KIT in the corner and return north, jumping down on the right. A little bit to the east is the last trap plus AT-ST and when it is destroyed a sequence will take over signaling the end of the level. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | STORY CHARACTERS: - | | | | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: Princess Leia (Endor) (5,800) | | Wicket W. You have to steer it through the narrow shafts until you reach the core. There is only one way to go but once which is still blocked by a force field in Story Mode. There are also three MINI-KITS on the way to the core, in plain sight as usual. Sometimes you might have to shoot a number of TIE Fighters before a force field opens up, but the game will tell you with the usual methods. Once you reach the core, first pick up the MINI-KIT on the other side of it. Next start shooting at the core like crazy until it explodes. Quickly turn around and leave the way you came in. On the way back you have to hurry as the Death Star is about to blow up. Do not rush too much though, as you might ride past the other two MINI-KITs on the way back. Anyhow, destroy the Emperor's seat for a MINI-KIT. Run south and east when you. Destroy the statue for a MINI-KIT. Run west and destroy this statue for another MINI-KIT. That thing in the middle of the room can also be destroyed for a MINI-KIT. North of this is a panel which holds yet another MINI-KIT. Jump up and demolish the Emperor's painting for a MINI-KIT. The same goes for Vader's painting which also holds a MINI-KIT. Finally, the statue on the left is also a MINI-KIT in disguise. Return to fight Darth Vader, it is just like before in Cloud City. When his health bar is down to half your attention turns to the Emperor. If you did destroy his chair, note how it is back now so this might be the cause for the glitch. This mode has nearly identical levels but a lot may have new branches and new rooms to unlock with the additional characters you can bring along. The main reason to finish Free Play is to find all the remaining mini-kits which in turn unlocks a new character for purchase. True Jedi requirement is the same as in Story Mode. In some levels you can only achieve this in Free Play and it is generally much easier to collect studs by having access to more areas. The status is only for a bonus and does not unlock vital characters, thus you may leave it up to later to accomplish these. Also I will assume you have the amount of mini-kits available from the normal levels, just like this walkthrough. If it is possible to get more before the Free Play then let me know, else I assume you have collected the same ones. Check the individual requirements for which character you need to take along to complete the level. When you get the select one I recommend you choose the more special ones such as an Imperial or Lando as the rest are common to have. You will also have a protocol and astromech droid at your disposal as long as at least one is unlocked. Sometimes the game gives you a bad choice of the other characters, simply restart to try again if that happens. I would personally wait until you unlock Lando before attempting to complete Free Play as it will make things go much faster than checking individual levels of what they need to complete. You may even want to finish the entire Story Mode beforehand. The fastest way to get the other special class, an Imperial, is to complete Blockade Runner which only needs a Jedi to find the other kits. ********** EPISODE IV ********** Chapter 1: Blockade Runner `````````````````````````` You need a Jedi to get all the kits, you should have eight from the Story Mode. The first one you are missing is near the start. You can see it as you walk by one of the force fields and whereas you can not actually lower this shield, simply jumping up from the side with a Jedi will solve this problem and net you a MINI-KIT. It will be a while until something new is discovered so play until the Engineering Sector. There is a button you may have noticed earlier and it will lower a force field ahead. You can only reach the MINI-KIT up there with a Jedi. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: Stormtrooper (300) | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 2: Tatooine ``````````````````` This can be played through as soon as you complete the Story Mode. You do not need any special unlockable characters to get the final canister. If you remember, the only missing canister was when the scene took over and you found yourself down the high ledge. Well when you get there this time, you can finally pick it up without getting disturbed. Drop down and complete the level as usual. You still have to enter the cantina for one second to drop the force field outside, but you do not have to meet anyone in there (there are still studs to find of course). __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: Tusken Raider (200) | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 3: Death Star Rescue ```````````````````````````` You need Lando, a Jedi and an Imperial to complete the level, you should have six kits at this point. Play until you reach the Tie Fighter Hangar and there will be a panel only Lando can use. Inside is a ventilation substation. Kill the lone officer and build the two bridges on both side. The MINI-KIT is in the middle of the vent shaft. You can also just build one side and jump to your death if you do not care about losing studs. From Subsector 3 go into a door that is open already to the north which leads to the control room. Fight your way through to the end and jump up with a Jedi to find a MINI-KIT nestled in the corner. Remember that you need to unlock the door before heading back out. Further sound is a panel used by a Gamorrean Guard, do not use it! It will spawn troops you have to defeat and once you have done that the force field will disappear which was only raised because you used the panel in the first place. At the Detention Block, take the corridor to the east and build the panel at the first door. Inside (unlocked with an Imperial) is a MINI-KIT. Take the south corridor and do the same but this time unlock it with Lando to find another MINI-KIT. __________ ______/ UNLOCKED \_____________________________________________________ / \ | PURCHASABLE CHARACTERS: Imperial Navy Lieutenant (5,300) | \_______________________________________________________________________/ Chapter 4: Death Star Escape ```````````````````````````` This level requires an Imperial, Jedi and Lando as well. You should have four mini-kits at this point. When you shoot the button near the beginning you will see the door to the control room. Inside you have to shoot everyone and then some new troops will arrive with a counter in the corner. Defeat those guys as well and a MINI-KIT will appear up on the ledge. Jump up there with a Jedi to reach it. Back outside, run north and build the 3PO-activated panel. Inside the mess hall is another MINI-KIT on the long table. Take the door to Subsector 2 after defeating the number of troopers on the counter. Run north and around to the right to enter the chamber. Collect the MINI-KIT and activate the panel. After the switch, run north and enter through the door. Drop down from the Tie Fighter hangar and build the panel for Lando. Inside is a MINI-KIT high up in the air, only reachable by a Jedi. Kill the troops to get back out. Continue through the next two areas but do build the panel on a long thin stretch (it is for an Imperial but does nothing) as it will only spawn more enemies. In the Death Star Hangar you will find a panel for an Imperial. This time you want to open it as it unlocks the nearby door and inside is some kind of party room but more importantly, a MINI-KIT. This time you are given a challenge to destroy a certain amount of turrets (could also be TIE Fighters). When this is accomplished a MINI-KIT will appear near the southern part where the path widens. The other two are in a new area splitting off the third section. There is a small turret-guarded stud heap which I have also told you about in the previous run-through. The nearby door is now unlocked and inside you will find another challenge. Destroy the certain number of TIE Fighter or turrets and the last two MINI-KITs will appear in plain sight. Once you do, return to where you have recently lowered the force field and kill the officer who will drop a MINI-KIT. He may also have moved a little around in this corridor if you did not confront him immediately after entering the area. Back in the main sector, go down the ramp and past the door to a force field. The panel requires an Imperial and the MINI-KIT beyond it easy to spot. In Sector 2, when you reach the pile of Legos you can also see a panel to the right. Activate it with R2 and run southwest. At the end of the corridor is a another broken panel with Lando. Start out by entering the main area go up the steps on the left. Ignore the door for now and destroy the large trophy for a MINI-KIT. These large statues also drop lots of points. Enter the jail and kill all the guards. A MINI-KIT will spawn in the center when this is accomplished. Also destroy the tiny chair for yet another MINI-KIT. Leave the jail again. Jump up to Jabba for your sixth and then to the seventh MINI-KIT. Drop down on the left but the right and use the force on both tables and the chairs for two more MINI-KITs. The final MINI-KIT will spawn right there. Also I have noticed Boba Fett is a little tougher in this one, and the jumping from boat to boat is easier. For the True Jedi status you should slowly destroy all the chests on the boat manually (the turret will waste all the studs) and it should be enough before you even jump down from the deck. Return to the steps and this time go right, dropping down when you get the chance. Follow this over a trench and a MINI-KIT should be high up in this area. Just north of this position is a high ledge with a MINI-KIT, it has a couple of large boulders west if it helps to pinpoint the location. In the next part of the forest, stick on the higher ground and go around the northeast. There should be a trench with five boulders behind it. Move two of those with the force and jump across for a MINI-KIT. Enter the bunker and fight through the rooms to the last one. Build the panel and activate it with an Imperial. Collect the MINI-KIT before heading back out. Instead of being warped to another section you have to walk there. Head south and go east when you see an opening. Go north after dropping down and near the top will be a path left and a very long trench. Behind this is a another MINI- KIT. The exit of the area is near the bottom right of this section. In the last part, find the southeast corner with a trench and a panel behind it. The panel is activated by R2. After shooting down several TIE Fighters the force field will drop and you can continue this way. There are three MINI-KITs in this shaft. The core is also destroyed the same way. Now for the final MINI-KIT you have to pay attention as you exit the station. In the very last screen is a split with one shaft going left and the other one right. FAQ G0600 =============================================================================== Q: What is Sith Mode? A: It not only changes all lightsabers to red, but it also restarts the level if you die. This means you have to complete the entire level without dying. This this works in conjunction with the Invincibility code but you still have to be careful not to fall down. =============================================================================== YY.)
