I started writing some video game guides/FAQs when I was just a kid. Across a couple years, I put out fifteen (15) guides, and then life took over and I pretty much vanished. It's been a decade or so and I'm a student trying to work my way into the world, though I have a few years before I can get there. I intend to pick up the pace, at least as much as I can, with these guides, and get some heavy hitters out there finally, but again, this passion of mine costs time, and, well, time really is money. So I would like to say, and this is by no means some requirement, that if you enjoy this guide (or any of my other guides), then PLEASE consider giving a little donation, even if it's just a tiny bit of something. ANYTHING will help me, as I have many things that I need to address, let alone the fact that gaming itself is an expensive hobby. But in the long run, the reason I ask is this MOST importantly: Donations will help me write more and more guides, and therefore give YOU more and more of what you wish to see. PAYPAL ======== If you donate through PayPal, please visit [ https:// www . paypal . com/webapps/mpp/send-money-online ] or navigate to PayPal yourself and choose "Transfer" -> "Send Someone Money" and use the following email address [ maidenrocks99@gmail.com ] If you use the link, ensure to remove the spaces from it before going! THANK YOU very much, everyone. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Story 01.02 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o Megaman Zero is a new type of game in the Megaman series. You play as Zero, and Megaman X is long gone...or not. In the game before this one, X used his spirit Cyber-Elf form again to help Zero stop Neo Arcadia and the good guy turned power-hungry Elpizo. This is yet again another part in the adventures of Zero. --- Months after the happenings of Elpizo's releasing the Dark Elf, a ship crash lands in a snowy mountain. The Resistance Base picks up readings familiar to the Dark Elf's and goes off to search for it. This is only the beginning of another saga. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Controls 01.03 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o My default controls below are likely different than yours... I will likely divulge some things along the way, if not good portions of things. [NOTE 2] There'll be one section about the extra Body Chips and such, but no other extras like the Secret Disks. I felt that I should try to make the walkthrough better. My past one (Megaman Zero 2) was kind of cheap. Check section 04.00 for those extras. [NOTE 3] IGNORE THE BLUE FUZZY DOORS IN LEVELS. They take you to the Cyber Space where all your Cyber-Elves are activated and don't die, but it decreases your rank like WOAH. This results in probably not getting the EX tech from the NEXT boss and the ones after, which is a bad thing. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act One: Prologue 03.01 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= ICY MOUNTAIN ============ After the scene, the mission begins. Go east and destroy the igloo type enemies. Beware of the ice dragon enemies that pop out of the ground, too. Keep going right and jump over the gap. Kill some more enemies and you'll see a scene when you reach the building. Zero will hear and voice and go inside. Continue on and watch out for the falling ice blocks plus the bat like enemies. There's some Pantheons waiting for you ahead, kill them. Further up are some shielding enemies which you must attack when they raise them up or are turned around. Make your way to the top through the robot infestation and you'll discover a boss door. Go through them to discover a scene. Two of the Neo Arcadian Guardians, Leviathan and Fefnir, are being defeated by a giant fiend. Zero busts in and learns the being is called Omega, an evil Reploid banned from Neo Arcadia a long time ago. The Guardians bail so Zero is left to fight Omega. ============= BOSS: Omega ============= ATTACKS : 1. One hand flies horizontally across the top while the other flies vertically across the right side. They both shoot energy rings. 2. He shoots bouncing energy balls from his head. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : Omega isn't all that tough, but if you took some damage in the level then he might be. Remember to avoid the above mentioned attacks and keep laying the hurt on him with the Z-Saber. If you die, then just try again. It shouldn't take more than one try, to tell you the truth. ============= END BOSS ============= Omega will stop moving and start to flash. After a couple seconds, he gets back ready to fight, but Harpuia comes and shocks him. Omega stops moving and does the flashing thing again. Omega magically recovers again as Harpuia readies for a fight, but then a voice tells Omega to stop. A weird looking man floats down and introduces himself. He is Dr. Weil, the same one who cursed the Dark Elf into becoming evil. Harpuia questions why Weil is here, but a copy of [Megaman] X appears and says he brought him. Harpuia bows (X was their leader, well, a copy of him anyway) but Zero sees through it. The copy states that Weil saved his life so he owes him. Copy X tells Harpuia to continue searching for the Dark Elf. Harpuia actually questions his orders, but Weil puts Harpuia back down. Copy X says the search for the Dark Elf shall be turned into a contest of Neo Arcadia and the Resistance. Weil says that they shall see how far Zero gets in "that body," which Zero wonders what he means. Weil and the others leave, then Zero is transported to the base. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== A scene plays, then you control Zero again. Go out the right side and enter the room marked Lab. Go up and talk to Cerveau, who'll give you your other two weapons: the Recoil Rod, and Shield Boomerang. You'll now be able to analyze Secret Disks found in levels by talking with Cerveau. You'll be paged, so go back to the control room and talk with Ciel. To go on with our process, choose the Childre Inaribbita stage. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Two: Childre Inaribbita 03.02 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= OCEANIC HWY. RUINS ================== You'll see the Dark Elf. Chase after it to see Childre Inaribbita. He'll hop in a ship mech and take off. You must step on four switchs to slow the mech down. Go forward and jump into the water. Dashjump over the gap to your right and go right a bit more. Drop down into the little hole and stand on the button until it presses down. That takes care of Switch #1. Quickly go back up and dash east QUICKLY. Equip the Recoil Rod and keep going. Use the Recoil Rod to pogo over anything that you can't normally jump over (charge it up and press Down, then release attack button). Keep going until you find another small hole; drop down it and dash left to press Switch #2. Go up and dash east again, then drop down and go into the boss doors. You'll watch a scene where the Dark Elf is almost hit, then sprinkles dark powers onto one of the Pantheon Aquas. He'll change form, then we have to fight him. ========================== BOSS: Dark Pantheon Aqua ========================== ATTACKS : 1. Shoots laser around room like he did before the fight. 2. He shoots five green arrows at you. 3. He'll grab you and suck your energy out until you break free. 4. He starts dropping stones by shaking the walls. HEALTH : Not shown STRATEGY : This guy is a pushover. Just keep avoiding all the attacks I listed and you should be able to kill him in 8 to 10 fully charged Z-Saber slashes. ========================== END BOSS ========================== After the robot explodes, exit out and start dashing again. Soon you'll reach Switch #3, so press that. Make sure you're ahead of Childre and keep going. One final hole will lead to Switch #4. Press it, then wait for Childre to go by and clear your whole path. Make sure to follow him, though. When he goes into the shutter, drop down and enter the boss door. ========================== BOSS: Childre Inaribbita ========================== ATTACKS : 1. He will jump up the walls and dive down at you. 2. He will shoot a volley of torpedoes at you. 3. He will shoot a BIG ice blade at you. 4. He will do Attack #1 but when he comes down, he drops mines. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : Childre is weak to the element of Flame, but if you are following this guide, you won't have it yet. If that's the case, then just sit back and do it old style. Even though people say using the Recoil Rod works best, it actually doesn't. It's good for beginners, but it doesn't damage Childre as much as the Z-Saber. If you're good at the game, then use charged Z-Saber slashes to win this fight. ========================== END BOSS ========================== You will get the Ice Body Chip as your reward. Equipping the Ice Chip will color your armor blue and freeze enemies when you use charged attacks. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Do whatever you need to, then talk to an operator so you can continue. Choose Devilbat Schilt for the next level. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Three: Devilbat Schilt 03.03 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= W.R. FACTORY ============ I hate the music in this level. Anyway, go forward, dispatch the Pantheons, and be careful. The camera here can spot you and sound the alarm. Destroy it and go forward to find some mouse enemies. Climb the ladder, then head left by dashjumping over the swinging hammer. Climb up the next ladder, go east by hopping the hammer, and continue on. You'll soon reach a garbage pile thing that you need to get over. It's like quicksand from other games, so don't let Zero get sucked down if you fall into it. To the right of this is another ladder, so climb it. Scale the wall and you'll find a swinging wire by here. Destroy the electrifying part, because if you destroy the upper wire, the electric part falls and becomes a Snakewire. Proceed on, hop another hammer, then get over the 3 garbage piles you run into. At the path's end is another swinging hammer and a ladder to a boss door. ================ BOSS: Bee Hive ================ ATTACKS: 1. It will open and release bees. This is also when to attack. 2. When it closes, goo shoots out and slows your movement. STRATEGY: The Bee Hive isn't too hard. Charge up the Z-Saber, then wait for the hive to open up. Jump and release the attack. Basically, repeat this the whole battle, as his two attacks are on a set pattern. ================ END BOSS ================ After the hive explodes, go out into the hall. Climb up to the top using the conveyor belts. Towards the top area, enemies fall onto the conveyor belts. These are what were in the big garbage piles. Keep going; at the top is a Snakewire, so kill it and continue east. Over here are some more conveyor belts and a switch on the ceiling. Hit the switch to change the conveyor belt directions. At the end of the hall, go down the ladder, then down more of the conveyor belts. At the bottom, flip the belt switch again and go east. Proceed over the garbage piles and climb down the ladders at the end. Go right and climb back up to find the boss door. ======================= BOSS: Devilbat Schilt ======================= ATTACKS : 1. He sends these little electric shocks at you. 2. He creates three copies of himself that hang from the ceiling. One is the real Devilbat, and he shoots an electric beam at you after a couple seconds. 3. He makes sonic waves bounce around everywhere. 4. He goes down to where he's almost touching the floor, then releases a LOT of bats. Dash to the other side to avoid. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : Devilbat isn't too hard. He's weak against Ice so equip that and let the charged Z-Saber go. His attacks aren't too hurtful except maybe the bats (if you get hit more than once) or the three copy one. Keep concentrating your attacks, and make sure he's open before you do. He sometimes teleports so if you attack then, it's wasted. ======================= END BOSS ======================= That was a pretty easy fight. You'll win the Thunder Body Chip as reward. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Nothing to do except choose the next stage, which is Blazin' Flizard's. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Four: Blazin' Flizard 03.04 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= AEGIS VOLCANO BASE ================== Go right and destroy the spike tower enemies. These shoot cannonballs which explode. Go further right and you'll see a volcano erupt. Watch out, because boulders will rain from the sky. There's another erupting volcano beside this one, so watch out. Keep going to find some Pantheons. Continue right until you hit a lava pit. A red orb jumps out and it splits into two fire spider enemies. Keep going east until you find some stone platforms being raised out of lava. You must hop these when they are available. Don't jump when they raise up or you'll be burned to a crisp. There's two platforms under spikes ahead. The first doesn't raise high enough for you to hit the spikes, but the second one does, so watch out. Continue on and you'll find more spike tower robots. Kill them and also take care of the new air tank enemies. Continue on to reach the actual inside of the base. Use the falling containers to hop across the lava. Go through the boss doors. On the other end is not a boss though. A container blocks a ladder going down, so use a charged Recoil Rod attack to knock it away. Down below are two Life Capsules. Go back up and right. Hop to the other side of the shielded enemy when he stops shooting fire, then quickly slice him. Go down the ladder, then push the container to the right TWICE using the Recoil Rod. Go down and enter the boss door. ======================= BOSS: Thorn Diskettes ======================= ATTACKS : 1. Release thorns. STRATEGY : You have 30 seconds to destroy 25 of these things. The annoying part is that they disappear. Try your best and you'll win. ======================= END BOSS ======================= Go right then climb the ladder. At the top, go left and you'll see the big container if you pushed it. You might need it to reach the ladder. Anyway, go up and head all the way east past the enemies. Use the falling containers to cross again, except it's a bit more difficult this time. At the end is the boss door. ======================= BOSS: Blazin' Flizard ======================= ATTACKS : 1. He throws the spiky disk thing on his head around. 2. He shoots little flame bombs. 3. He lets flames fly out around in a clockwise fashion. 4. He uses a flamethrower type move. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : This guy is pretty rough. Amazingly, he's IMMUNE to the Ice element, so using the Ice chip will net you with no damage. Equip the Thunder chip and use the charged Z-Saber to win. Also, if you got the downwards stab EX tech from Devilbat (you had to have won with an A or S rank), then use that with the Thunder chip equipped. ======================= END BOSS ======================= You will win the Fire Body Chip from this fight, and we need it in the next level! =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Save the game and choose Deathtanz Mantisk's level. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Five: Deathtanz Mantisk 03.05 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= OLD RESIDENTIAL AREA ==================== All the green here must be destroyed. Equip the Fire chip and use charged attacks to burn it all. Do this the whole level for a good rank and other stuff. Continue right and defeat the Pantheons. Continue on east and defeat the enemies. Climb up to the top and go right some more. Defeat the flower enemies and keep going. Basically, there's nothing more to do here other than defeat the enemies and burn the ivy and such. Behind some doors are hidden items like Life Capsules and Extra Lives. Soon you'll reach a boss door. Inside is a scene where you see the two dark Baby Elves from Megaman Zero 2. Follow them when they leave. Keep going along the pathway for you and you'll reach a boss out in the open. ====================== BOSS: Humongous Worm ====================== ATTACKS : 1. Shoot at you with bullets. STRATEGY : This guy is pretty tough. You just need to hit the green orb on him to damage him. Dodge or shield yourself from the bullets he shoots and keep slashing him. He'll fall soon. ====================== END BOSS ====================== Again, keep on following the path while destroying vegetation and such. You'll find a new enemy later, some bullet shooting robot that moves around a cylinder wall piece. Soon after is the boss door. The Baby Elves have wandered into the evil guy's clutches. The Baby Elves recognize Zero when he comes in. They say that he pushed their mama (Dark Elf) around a century ago. After that, Mantisk orders them to go into then next room. ========================= BOSS: Deathtanz Mantisk ========================= ATTACKS : 1. He jumps off the walls and slashes you. 2. He shoots a razor blade at you. 3. He may turn around and slash you, when you're behind him. 4. He shoots into the air, a rock falls, and he slices parts of it at you. 5. He throws his blade claw at you like an arrow. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : Deathtanz is the hardest out of the first four, I think. He has no weakness so it matters not what Body Chip you equip. You'll probably die a lot before you win this fight. Hopefully you can pull it off in about 2 tries though. ========================= END BOSS ========================= A scene will show where Weil gets the Baby Elves. Zero is too late in stopping him. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== You'll see a scene, then get to save, so do so. After is another scene where Harpuia is questioning Copy X if he trusts Weil. Remember, Harpuia and the others DO NOT know that this X is a copy made by Weil. Copy X defends Weil and Weil appears to state he won't make his past mistakes again. Weil tells the two that the Dark Elf is in Neo Arcadia. Harpuia says he and the Guardians will go, but Copy X tells him that the Guardians are going to be stepped down. Copy X leaves Weil in charge of the army. After that, a scene shows Zero being transported to the next mission. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Six: Crea and Prea 03.06 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= MISSILE FACTORY =============== Go right and destroy the cameras and Pantheons. Climb the ladder and go left. Destroy the enemy generator, climb up, and destroy another one. Just keep going along and you'll soon reach conveyor belts. Watch out for the spike towers and keep going up and up to find a boss door. Enter it, then climb to the top. After the scene, you're on top of the missile. Proceed west past all the enemies and go inside. Now proceed all the way right. Watch out though, the missile parts dislodge at points. You'll reach the boss door soon. ===================== BOSS: Crea and Prea ===================== ATTACKS : 1. They switch sides; avoid them so you aren't hurt. 2. The blue one shoots four balls at you, while the orange one drops stuff around you that slows your movement. 3. They ram into each other and form a giant light which releases balls that can hit you. HEALTH : 3 bars STRATEGY : Just basically avoid their attacks and unleashed charged Z-Saber slashes. They have no weakness so don't worry about chips. They also share the health bar so attack either one whenever you can. ===================== END BOSS ===================== The missile lands and the Dark Elf is found. Omega opens a dark hole in his stomach and sucks the Dark Elf in. He transforms into a sweet looking golden Omega. The Baby Elves tell Omega to go destroy Zero. As Omega moves, Harpuia appears and attacks Omega. Omega easily blows the attacks off and knocks Harpuia down. Zero comes to help Harpuia. Both Harpuia and Zero teleport away before Omega harms them. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Harpuia is healing in the maintenance room with Cerveau. After some talk, you get a transmission from Copy X. After some talk, Weil demands the Ciel System. Ciel declines, and Neo Arcadian forces are detected coming towards the base from all sides. Choose the Anubis Necromancess V stage. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Seven: Anubis Necromancess V 03.07 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= TWILIGHT DESERT =============== This is a pretty easy and VERY straightforward level. I don't have to tell you anything. After a while of treking across the desert, you find a boss. ================= BOSS: Sand Worm ================= ATTACKS : 1. He shoots all these rocks out of his mouth. STRATEGY : This thing isn't so hard. Just charge up your Z-Saber and attack at every opportunity. ================= END BOSS ================= Go right and soon after you'll find a Pantheon Helicopter. There's another one not too far from that. Anyway, the level is still as easy to navigate as before, but extras are hidden on high platforms and such. When you reach the end of the long trip, you'll find the boss. ============================= BOSS: Anubis Necromancess V ============================= ATTACKS : 1. He will summon undead Pantheons. 2. He'll throw his staff at you. 3. He'll disappear and his sarcophogus will come up to smush you. 4. He will change the terrain. It will either have 2 holes in it or be a quicksand pool. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : Anubis has gotten a bit stronger since his last version. What makes me confused is that we've never seen Anubis IV (four). Ah well, this guy even changed his weakness, so charge up your Ice chip and either the Z-Saber or Recoil Rod to beat him quickly. ============================= END BOSS ============================= Well, we get nothing after this. Not even a scene... =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Save and choose the next boss, Hanumachine R. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Eight: Hanumachine R 03.08 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= FOREST OF ANATRE ================ This is basically a remake of forest levels in the previous games. Head east and wipe out the bees and generators and such. Keep going and kill a couple more robots to reach some doors. Inside the ruins, go right and step on the switch. Stay on it until the ceiling moves up and stops, then dash under it. At the next part, use the Recoil Rod to hit the stone onto the switch. At the next one, ignore the stone, and when the floorpiece moves down, jump on it and go up. Keep going right as far as you can go, while ignoring switches, until you reach a dead end. Press the switch and dash through the opening, BUT DON'T go right. You'll wind up in a hard spot then. Instead, go up again and continue right. After lots more treking, you'll hit the boss room. ===================== BOSS: Hanumachine R ===================== ATTACKS : 1. He bounces around in a big fireball, destroying the stones. 2. He sends little monkeys at you. 3. He tries to land on you with his staff. 4. He'll jump and spin his staff. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : He isn't that hard, but he's more annoying. Equip the Thunder chip and charge the Z-Saber or Recoil Rod to defeat this fiend. His attacks aren't that hard to dodge, either. ===================== END BOSS ===================== Again, nothing for a reward. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Save the game and choose Blizzack Staggroff R. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Nine: Blizzack Staggroff R 03.09 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= FRONTLINE ICE BASE ================== Go forward and kill the Pantheons. Jump in the water, then go through this whole area. This underwater portion is infested with fish enemies and Pantheon Aquas. In about half a minute you should hit a spike pit, so dashjump to get over it. You'll soon be inside a base and out of the water. Continue on into the hall. Destroy the spike tower and start climbing to the top. Proceed east then go back down. Head east again, then go up, left, up again, then into the boss door. ============================ BOSS: Blizzack Staggroff R ============================ ATTACKS : 1. He shoots icicles at you. 2. He shoots an ice beam, where the snowflakes slow you down. 3. He jumps and throws ice balls at the ground. Touch them and you freeze. 4. He shoots an ice beam with icicles in it. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : He's easier than when you fought him in Megaman Zero 1, at least to me. Equip the Fire chip then unleash charged Z-Saber slashes on him so he can be defeated again. ============================ END BOSS ============================ Again, you get nothing for winning. Well, all the boss fights you beat will net you their EX Techs if you have an A or S rank at the time. Same here, but anyway... =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Talk to the operator and choose the last mission, Copy X Mark II. Oh, did I say last mission? My bad... o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Ten: Copy X Mark II 03.10 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= AREA X-2 ======== Go right and wipe out the Pantheons and cameras. Soon after, you reach a spike infested area. Use the platforms to cross, and you somethings have to scale on the side of them until they go down or whatever. Next you'll see a laser. For me, I just dashed through and it didn't go off. But just to be safe for you, wait until it disappears and then dash through. Keep going and get over the spikes. Keep going while avoiding the security lasers and you'll soon reach a door on the ceiling. Go through the room and into the next one. Now we have to go up through a spike infested area, on the same type of platforms. Did I mention the area is spike infested, and we have to go up? Climb your way FAR UP to the top, then go right across some more spikes, then we have to go up again! Go left then up through a short spike area. At the top, go left, then jump up and go through the boss door. ====================== BOSS: Copy X Mark II ====================== ATTACKS : 1. He does a slide kick at you. 2. When he's blue, he does ice attacks. 3. When he's normal, he shoots three shots at you. 4. When he's normal, he shoots some HUGE light ball at you. 5. When he's red, he does flame attacks. 6. When he's green, he does thunder attacks. 7. Not really an attack, but he heals a FULL HEALTH BAR. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : This guy is a step up from the old version. He can do a lot more attacks now, and by far, the most annoying problem is attack #7. When he's almost defeated, he HEALS A FULL HEALTH BAR. This adds to the longness of the fight. Don't bother about weaknesses, because they depend on his color/form, and that changes so often it's almost impossible to get an elementally charged hit in. Keep on him and you should win. ====================== END BOSS ====================== Copy X asks Weil for help. The real X (Cyber-Elf) comes and explains to Copy X that Weil was just using him. Copy X is tired of everyone using him. He tries to change to his ultimate form (so he can defeat Weil) but we find out Weil placed a trap in his body. A multi-color show comes out of Copy X, then he explodes. After that, Weil appears on the TV network talking to all Neo Arcadians. Weil announces that [Copy] X was killed by the extremists/Zero. He says that he is their new leader. X says he was going to say something about Omega but doesn't. He then tells Zero that the heart is what counts, not the body. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== After the scene, save the game and choose Cubit Foxtar. Now, HOW LONG IS THIS GAME! o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Eleven: Cubit Foxtar 03.11 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= ENERGY FACILITY =============== Sorry but this level doesn't need any explanation, it's just so freaking straightforward. HOWEVER, when you reach the spinning thing, though, just keep attacking all the buttons until they go in. At one point soon after, you reach the miniboss. ===================== BOSS: Ice/Fire Wall ===================== ATTACKS : 1. It shoots flames when it's red. 2. It shoots freezing air when it's blue. STRATEGY : This thing spins around and stops. It flips over so it's blue or red, and opens it's eye. The attack depends on the color, as listed above. Whenever the eye opens, just slash it up. ===================== END BOSS ===================== There's one point before the boss where you must use the metal planks to get to the top, and it isn't that hard. The only problem is the spikes on each side of the area. Go through the boss door. ==================== BOSS: Cubit Foxtar ==================== ATTACKS : 1. She divides into flames that fly around. 2. She summons nine flames that spin around in circles. 3. She summons nine flames that she throws at you. 4. She shoots flames that stay on the ground for a while. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : She's pretty easy. Her main weakness is Thunder, so charge that with the Z-Saber or Recoil Rod to put an end to her quickly. Attack #1 is the worst one she has. ==================== END BOSS ==================== You get the Double Jump Boots after this. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Save the game, then choose Glacier Le Cactank. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Twelve: Glacier Le Cactank 03.12 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= SNOWY PLAINS ============ This level is again, straightforward, so I need not explain it. But, when you kill the fat Pantheons, you can steal their little platforms for a fast ride. Somewhere in the middle of the level is the miniboss. ================ BOSS: Ice Worm ================ ATTACKS : 1. It shoots snowflakes or snowballs. STRATEGY : This is really simple. Equip the Fire chip and start slashing with the Z-Saber. You'll win in no time. ================ END BOSS ================ The boss isn't too far from here. Catch a ride on a platform and you'll be right by it. ========================== BOSS: Glacier Le Cactank ========================== ATTACKS : 1. He'll jump and try to land on you. 2. He tries to hit you with icicles. 3. He tries to hit you with his fist. 4. He swings his arm and icicles fly out. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : This guy is really easy too. Watch out for his icicle attacks and unleash the Fire chip. You'll win in about one to two minutes. Also, the Recoil Rod actually works here. (It works on other bosses too but I find the Z-Saber better) ========================== END BOSS ========================== You see a short scene. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Save the game and choose Tretista Kelverian. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Thirteen: Tretista Kelverian 03.13 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= GIANT ELEVATOR ============== This level is again a very easy one to move through. Basically, the first half, you are going right and go up and down ladders to reach the destination. You'll need to double jump and dashjump a lot here. After that, you reach BIG elevator where you must survive the horde of enemies falling. If you're uber skilled, this shouldn't be too hard. Remember, you must kill the enemies until they stop appearing. After that is a boss. ======================== BOSS: Jousting Wheeler ======================== ATTACKS : 1. It shoots disks at you. 2. It tries to ram you. STRATEGY : This fight is beyond easy. Equip the Thunder chip, then charge the Buster Gun. Jump, then when you are about a SECOND away from landing on the ground, release the attack. It should electrify him and make him bend backwards. Now, run in and just keep using quick attack combos with the Z-Saber (just keep bashing the attack button). If you knocked him over far enough, he won't be able to get back up before you kill him. ======================== END BOSS ======================== After that, you have more enemies to fight. After you land, continue to find the boss door. Spike beds will be in your way on the journey there, though. ========================== BOSS: Tretista Kelverian ========================== ATTACKS : 1. He takes a metal pipe, bends it, then throws it like a boomerang. 2. He'll try to jump on you. 3. He'll throw a crate at you. 4. His two extra heads will jump out as dogs and try to attack you. 5. He'll spit energy balls out. 6. He'll try to ram you with a purple blade. HEALTH : 3 bars STRATEGY : This guy is pretty hard. First off, don't equip any elemental chips. He has no weakness. His weak spots are his main head, and the dogs when they are out in the open. Keep charging that Z-Saber and let it go whenever this big guy is vulnerable. ======================== END BOSS ======================== Well, nothing but some skills to gain. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Save the game and choose the last boss stage, Volteel Biblio. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Fourteen: Volteel Biblio 03.14 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= SUNKEN LIBRARY ============== Take a NOTE here, that if you somehow cheat and use Code Breaker codes, the game will mess up here, and when you find a door that contains one of the data chips, you will find all of them, then the game won't let Zero proceed. So turn off ALL codes if you are using them...cheater. =P ----- Anyway, the level design in this game declined significantly since the earlier stages. It's sad, really. When you reach the computer room, examine it and select all the options to find out what doors to go into. Proceed on into the door room. Also, to get through the electrified water area, you must defeat the big turtles and use them as platforms. Anyway, in the door room, you must find the doors on your own. They're completely random, but try to find a perfect square room as the last one. Whatever room is the last one, you'll have to fight Volteel in it. ====================== BOSS: Volteel Biblio ====================== ATTACKS : 1. He will swim through the holes in the room, if there is any. 2. He pops his head out and shoots a energy ball out of another hole. 3. He'll charge the hole floor/walls/ceiling with electricity. It's almost impossible to avoid. 4. He'll shoot two bullets out of his tail thing. 5. He'll try to grab and shock you. HEALTH : 2 bars STRATEGY : This guy is pretty easy. He' easier than Tretista anyway, as he is weaker. Equip the Ice chip and let loose the Z-Saber and Recoil Rod hits to end this fight quickly. ====================== END BOSS ====================== You'll get some special Secret Disks from this level. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== After the scene, go into the room left of here to talk with Harpuia. Harpuia leaves, vowing to stop Weil. Go back into the control/commander room. Save your game and choose 'Talk' with Ciel. She'll open up the file on the Elf Wars, and we'll see a scene. Ciel will state her conclusion on what Weil is doing. After, the operators laugh and tell her that she did excellent detective work. Weil is speaking through them. After the scene of Weil, he can control all the Reploids through Omega. He sends some of the Resistance Soldiers into the room to attack Zero and Ciel. X (the real X) comes down and makes a flashing light which knocks the soldiers over. After some talk, you'll be teleported to the next level. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Fifteen: Crea and Prea Revisited 03.15 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= SUB ARCADIA =========== This whole level is a big pattern. It should take you about one and a half minutes to reach the boss room. It's that easy. ===================== BOSS: Crea and Prea ===================== ATTACKS : 1. They change sides to hit you. 2. They'll form a big explosion that shoots balls at you. 3. They burst into flames and fly around. 4. They'll leave the screen, then come back and fly across the floor. 5. They'll just fly around in a circle/oval pattern. 6. They form some big flashing circle thing, and move around the perimeter of the room. HEALTH : 3 bars STRATEGY : They are basically the same washed up mess as they were in the last battle. You have an edge up because some of their attacks are nearly the same as before. Pull out charged Z-Saber attacks to take this pests out. ===================== END BOSS ===================== Finally, these little guys will finally die. They break up and disappear. =================== | END MISSION | =================== RESISTANCE BASE =============== Go talk to Cerveau and get all your Secret Disks checked and everything, then do anything else you need, like re-exploring levels and such. Talk to Ciel, save your game, then accept the final mission. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Sixteen: Bosses Revisited 03.16 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o ================= | START MISSION | ================= WEIL'S LAB ========== Go down the hall, then you must cross one of the spike infested areas again. After that, enter the boss room. This is another one of those 'fight the bosses a second time' rooms. Here's the teleport info: Deathtanz Mantisk [None] Devilbat Schilt [Ice] Childre Inaribitta [Flame] Blazin' Flizard [Thunder] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Continue on through the level and you'll reach the second room: Tretista Kelvarian [None] Volteel Biblio [Ice] Glacier Le Cactank [Flame] Cubit Foxtar [Thunder] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Continue on again and you'll reach the final boss door. o------------------------------------------------------------------------o | Act Seventeen: The End is Near 03.17 | o------------------------------------------------------------------------o In the scene, Weil talks some about how he loves the feeling of everyone working for him. Then he announces that he's a human, like that's a surprise. After some more chatter, Omega appears, golden and all. Time for a fight. ==================== BOSS: Golden Omega ==================== ATTACKS : 1. He has both attacks from the first fight, except this new one. He grabs the sword and tries to pince you with it three times. HEALTH : 3 bars STRATEGY : This is real easy, just watch out for the sword and do the same things you did in the first fight. ==================== END BOSS ==================== Omega's sword breaks, and his hands go falling off the screen. After that, Omega breaks the floor and floats down. After he is gone, the screen goes white and then reappears as Zero is in a huge firey area. Omega rises up, having released the Dark Elf's power. He is a GIGANTIC battle body. ====================== BOSS: Ultimate Omega ====================== ATTACKS : 1. The X portion shoots three shots. 2. The Omega portion picks you up with a red ball thing and you must break free. 3. The Omega portion shoots a energy ball that semi-follows you. 4. All the heads shoot a laser from their eyes, at different ranges. 5. The X gun moves up and shoots a big beam. It shrinks as it comes down to you. HEALTH : 3 bars STRATEGY : Now this guy is rough, and has NO WEAKNESS! The battle body is a cross between X, Omega, and Zero. The blue is X, the silver is Omega, and the red is Zero. Keep avoiding all his attacks and unleashed charged Z-Saber attacks on Omega's flashing head. Here's an idea, have 1 full sub/reserve tank before you win the fight, as there's another one ahead. ====================== END BOSS ====================== Zero lands in the place where he was sleeping in the beginning of the series. The place is torn up, and Omega's battle body lies in pieces everywhere. Weil tells Zero his power is extraordinary for a fake. A big light appears on the head of Omega, and the screen goes white. When it clears up, there's a shadow of a robot in the screen. Weil says that Zero is a fool for believing he is the actual legendary Reploid. He says they just named him Zero for some reason. He says that he IS Zero, in a way, but he's just a copy of the actual thing. After that, the screen shows that there's two Zeros, one on the left, and one on the right. Weil laughes at Zero for believing he was a hero. He says that Omega is the one and only, original Zero. The Zero we know is just a copy. Zero (our Zero) asks Weil why the original is his slave. Weil says that he is a bloodthirsty God of Destruction; Weil just upgraded him so all his powers were active. Now it's time for the final fight. =========================== FINAL BOSS: Original Zero =========================== ATTACKS : 1. He jumps and does a spin slash, creating little green blades. 2. He does the upwards jumping slash. 3. He'll do a three hit saber combo. 4. He creates an energy column which protects him temporarily. 5. He'll dash at you and do the upwards jumping slash. 6. He'll do a charged slash at you. It also makes rocks fall. 7. He slams his fist on the ground, sending little energy waves. 8. He'll shoot two huge Buster Gun shots, then send a slash wave. 9. He will dashjump at you at low height. When he lands, he'll do a 7 hit combo ending in a upwards jumping slash. This can take off almost a FULL health bar, and sometimes does. HEALTH : 3 bars STRATEGY : Just keep your concentration on dodging his moves, then on attacking him. The best time to attack is right after he finishes something like the three hit combo or energy column. These are open spots for a charged Z-Saber slash. This works best, so USE IT. Also, he has no weakness, so forget using chips anymore. After you dish out the pain, he'll fall. =========================== END FINAL BOSS =========================== He may have been the original, but this Zero is stronger. The original explodes and you get your results. =================== | END MISSION | =================== DESTROYED RESTING PLACE ======================= A black circle appears around the original, and the Dark Elf flies out. She starts sprinkling dark magic onto the original. She's reactivating Omega. Zero tries to stop her, but he's knocked back. The original stands up, but Harpuia appears. He runs in and slashes the original a couple times. (I'll call the original Omega from now on.) Harpuia is knocked back. He tells Zero to stand up. Fefnir appears and shoots Omega three times. After that, Leviathan appears, too, and slashes Omega. She is knocked back. Omega falls back down. Harpuia tells Zero that Weil is trying to bluff him. Omega can't do anything is this state. Weil tells the Dark Elf to shut them up. The Dark Elf starts turning light again and calls for Zero. X appears and says that her curse is fading. Weil is surprised that X is here. X says that he and Zero defeated this Omega a century ago. He tells Zero that Omega is just using his original body. Zero may have a copied body, but he's the real thing. X says that it's time for Zero to finish this, while the Dark Elf is weak. Zero stands up, but Weil tries to stop him. He asks if Zero doesn't feel any attachment to his original body. X backs up Zero, telling him he knows it's the right thing. Now we control Zero. Go forward and slash the being before you. Omega will explode, and then Zero appears inside a big white area. He's lying on the ground, while X stands over him. X says that his energy is almost spent, and that he can't stay in this world much longer. He says that he wants to leave the world in Zero's care. He says that Weil's threat has not left the world. X says he wants Zero to protect humans and Reploids alike. He tells Zero that he can do it. X fades away... Zero awakens on the Resistance Base roof. Ciel and some soldiers are trying to wake him. Zero does awaken. Zero wonders who brought him here. The Dark Elf appears, all in light form. Zero says that she is now Mother Elf again. She flies away. Zero asks if they should follow her, but Ciel tells him that they should let her enjoy her freedom. Ciel tells Zero that X told her about him being a copy. Zero starts to walk away, then he thanks Ciel. He says that it's just him, that he is Zero. The credits then roll... CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'VE BEATEN THE GAME! You can now play in Hard Mode and Ultimate Mode.
