INTRODUCTION G0100 =============================================================================== Welcome to Who Wants to be a Millionaire? for the GameBoy Color, a trivia game by THQ released in 2000. This guide contains all questions the game has to offer, as well as the answers to them. I figured if you are checking the guide you want the answers as well and not just the questions. To find a question, simply use your browser's/text viewer's search function. This game is based on the American version of the show, as well as featuring US-based questions (e.g. baseball, states, presidents) they also use American- English spelling. I mention this because there are so many different games based on the show and some are from the UK and some from the US television version. If you spot any errors or have suggestions please feel free to e-mail me about it. Enjoy! =============================================================================== 02.) BASICS G0200 =============================================================================== At the main screen you can either choose to play single player or multiplayer. Select the music and effect at the bottom and press A to switch them on or off. Multiplayer simply takes up to four people into a round of "Fastest Finger" where you have to select the correct order in the fastest time possible. The screen will cycle through possible answers and as soon as the correct order appears, press the A-button to confirm. Instead of adding an extra player you can press SELECT to skip to the result screen. Once all candidates have answered the screen will show the correct answer, then the player's reaction time as well as who had the correct order. The winner, i.e. correct order and fastest time, will play the normal game. Single player takes you through 15 questions of 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?", the popular TV game show. With each questions answered correctly the money will "double" up. The first question yields $100, the next $200, $300, $500, $1,000 and so on, up to the grand price of $1,000,000. Questions 5 and 10 are save heavens, meaning that if you get a question wrong above these you will only drop to the money level there instead of ending up with nothing. As you are playing the game and not for real money, I would advise you just keep on playing instead of aiming for going home with at least some kind of amount of money. As Regis says, it's only virtual money. You have 30 seconds to answer a question. When the time is up, you lose. Select an answer with the D-pad and press A to confirm. Sometimes Regis will ask if that is your final answer, at which point the time stops for a while and you can choose A for yes and B for no. If you do not answer within 15 seconds the timer will start up again. There are three lifelines to help you. Press SELECT and choose them with the A- button. Press SELECT again to return without using one. 50-50 subtracts two wrong answers to aid in your process of elimination. Call a friend gives advise by a caller, who might or might not know the answer. Ask the audience shows a poll result of how many percent of people in the virtual audience think what the answer is. You can use as many lifelines for a question, but you only get one of each lifeline per game. During the game, press START to pause the game. You will obviously not get to see the question and answers during this time, but could still remember the it quickly and run to get a dictionary, ask a friend, check this guide, etc. Note that some questions may be out of date at the time you are playing. Also some questions in the guide may have mistakes, if you find one, you could drop me a line and I will correct it. =============================================================================== 03.)
