Introduction | |============================================================================| In this side-scrolling, platforming game; you play as the mummy, Chuck D. Head. Released in 1991 for the Genesis, it is almost identical to the Japanese game Magical Hat Flying Turbo Adventure in terms of gameplay. This is because it was edited to become DeCap Attack for a US release. Both games are updates of the Master System game Psycho Fox. |============================================================================| | 2. Story | |============================================================================| "Max D. Cap has taken control of Body Island by splitting it into pieces. Dr. Frank N. Stein has created you, Chuck D. Head, to battle D.Cap's wave of creatures and put the pieces back together." |============================================================================| | 3. Walkthrough | |============================================================================| Area 1: Abdomainland 1-1 First, break the statue to your left to obtain your head. If you lose your head in any of the stages, there'll always be other statues that contain them in that particular sub-area. To get to 1-1's goal, just continue advancing right while watching out for enemies and lava (which will instantly kill you if you land in it). Note: Most of the first sub-areas are very linear and so I won't be going into much detail on how to get through them. 1-2 Advance upward by jumping on the up arrows, which will spring you into the air. Eventually you'll get to a part which you'll need to jump on grey clouds to advance. Either kick in midair to reach them or jump on the trees that have two skulls with red eyes on top. If you need your head, break the statue before advancing upward again. You'll get to a part where you can choose to advance by springing yourself off the two vertical lines of springs or do some jumping off those transparent blocks which you can reach by using the trees nearby. When you see the vertical line of springs to your right, use them by pressing Up. Then continue left a bit and you've reached 1-2's goal. 1-3 In the last section of each area, you'll have to find a missing item that Dr. Frank N. Stein wants. Although you can defeat the boss first, and then find it, I recommend finding it first so that you don't have to backtrack through the stage which could end up killing you. Drop down, but watch out because there's lava, then move right a bit and break the statue to retrieve the missing piece. From here on, just continue moving left until you come to an empty area. This is where you'll be attacked by the boss. Start by getting close to him when he approaches from the left, and then start attacking. He'll eventually charge at you, so jump over him when he does. Keep hitting him when he's on the right side. He'll eventually throw what I like to call his mask. Standing close to him while he does it, he should end up missing. Then he'll move forward and throw his mask again (he'll miss if you stand close to him on his right). He should be changing colors at this point. After he's dead, go left to reach the end of area 1. Note: If you picked up any coins from the statues during that area, you'll get to play the bonus game. Area 2: El Beau Island 2-1 Keep going right until you reach 2-1's goal. Note: In this area and the following areas, there will be hidden ghosts in the statues you should watch out for. 2-2 Jump in the water and then proceed to break the blocks. Keep advancing right until you need need to spring yourself up on the ground above. Continue right and you'll eventually need to cross lava by using elevating platforms. Carefully cross those while avoiding the enemies and you'll come to 2-2's goal. 2-3 Head down until you land above some lava, then spring yourself up and then finally head back down again. Head left, then jump up onto the ground above which has two breakable statues revealing a head and the missing item. Keep heading down until you reach the boss. Atack the boss while avoiding the frogs that jump out of him. Also move out of the way when he jumps into the air. After defeating him, head left to reach the end of area 2. Area 3: Tibuland 3-1 In this stage you're being chased by a totem pole. If you touch it, you die. So just keep moving right until you get to 3-1's goal. 3-2 Keep going up, and then head right to reach 3-2's goal. 3-3 Keep going right while staying at the lower part of the stage. You'll eventually reach water, so go in and continue going left while breaking through the blocks until you find a lone statue with the missing item. Continue going right, then advance upward a bit to where you'll need to drop down onto a spring board. Go right a bit and you'll reach the boss for this stage. Keep jumping up and hitting his head. He'll eventually start spitting fireballs out of his mouth. The first and fourth ones can change direction. Defeat him and continue right to reach the end of area 3. Area 4: Armington 4-1 Swim right a bit and you'll see a statue. Break it if you need your head. Continue swimming right, then jump up onto the ground and back into the water. You can also jump on the area above the water (you can choose either way several times in this stage). Continue going right until you reach 4-1's goal. 4-2 Head right a bit and jump in the water. The first statue that you come across has your head in it. Continue swimming down, then head up and finally back down again until you have to head up again by using the plant-like things that push you up with air. When you reach the top drop back down and head right to reach 4-2's goal. 4-3 Head right and jump in the water. Continue swimming right, then jump out. Head right while jumping over the lava. You should eventually see water so jump in. Swim down and then left a bit, then down again. Swim left, break the blocks and then jump over the pit of lava. Keep heading left until you reach two statues. The first one has a ghost in it, so break the second one to find the missing item. Head back the way you came, just before jumping in the water. Jump onto the platforms with a green monster with lips. Jump onto the highest platform and take a running dash to the right to jump on the higher brick walling. Continue right until you reach water. Jump in and swim your way back to land. Continue going right until you reach the boss. You can only hurt this boss when he opens his outer exterior that protects him. Keep hitting him until he dies and move right to reach the end of area 4. Area 5: Pumpington 5-1 First, jump left and break the second statue to find your head. Then just keep heading right. 5-2 In this stage you're being chased by steam rolling monster. Try not to touch it and also watch out for the thing it shoots out of its "mouth". 5-3 Head right, and just after you jump over the thrid pit of lava, jump down and break the statue to find the missing item piece. Contine right until you reach the boss. This boss is a mole like thing that burrows under the ground and then pops its head up. It'll throw gravel at you, so avoid that and hit it until it dies. After it's dead, continue right to reach the end of area 5. Area 6: Last Leg Land 6-1 Head up, then head right. Swim through the water. Continue going right until you get to an area where you have to drop down to advance. Once up on top, drop down or break through the blocks on the right and continue down that way (both advance you to where you'll want to go). Cross the lava and then spring yourself up. Head down, walking from right-to-left a few times, then right to reach 6-1's goal. 6-2 Head right, and then make your way upward for quite a while using any means possible. When you finally reach the top, head left to reach 6-2's goal. 6-3 Head right a bit and then up. Bounce off the springs and head right. Head up a bit by jumping on the ice cubes and then right. You can go two ways here, down or right. Head right and walk across those falling blocks. Then head down just above the lava and head right to find a statue with the missing piece. Jump up to the platform above and backtrack a bit, but this time go down. Head right until you reach lava with elevating platforms. Take any way you want and you'll get to another pit of lava that has different colored platforms. Jump off them and onto ground. Continue going right until you reach the boss. Avoid it's landing when it jumps. It'll eventually jump into the air and shoot somthing out of its mouth. When it raises its arms in the air you can attack it. After it's dead, head right to reach the end of area 6. Area 7: Eyeland 7-1 Head right taking any route you wish. Eventually drop down to reach 7-1's goal. 7-2 Head right a bit and then drop down (just watch out that you don't drop into a pit of lava). Eventually you'll get to an area where you can't drop down anymore, so head right to reach 7-2's goal. 7-3 Head right by going up top or swimming in the water. Break the blocks and continue going right. Jump on the falling blocks or else you'll fall into a nice pit of lava. Use the springs to head upwards. Drop down into the water and break the blocks. Head right and break the second statue to retrieve the missing item. Backtrack out of the water and head right taking whichever route you want. Eventually you'll reach the boss. He jumps in the air and then rocks fall from above. He also splits into two and shoots a fireball out of his mouth. You can walk infront his body, just don't touch his head. Continue hitting him and he'll change colors a bunch of times. After he's dead continue right to reach the end of area 7 and the end of the game. |============================================================================| | 5.
