You found my faq for the quite unknown game Robocop VS Terminator for Genesis. I find the game quite fun, it's really great if you just feel for some "playing without thinking", you know what I'm saying? If you want, you can check out my other things I've done at www.gamefaqs.com. Feel free to mail me about whatever you want that has any reason with R.VS.T, you can send comments, tips, help, advices, whatever. I'll try to answer all mails I get(those within reason, the ones I get that are just totally wicked I'm not answering!). Probably you'll get a reply after 1-2 two days, I'm not searching the net that very often. ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE FLAMER is very helpful for my faq and I would be grateful if you send what you know about it to me. The problem is that I haven't seen the flamer, even once! Still I have beaten the game several times but I haven't got it! Isn't that strange? Well, if you know anything, gimme a mail at lufia3@hotmail.com or Sunshine@warreng.com I'll put you up on the credit list for your contribution if I get some info(and that's a real honour :) Probably the document will be updated someday, but I can't guarantee that(depends if I see if someone really is reading this =) Well, not much more to say, is it? Here's the faq... <||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><|| A: History <||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><||><|| (The intro text in the beginning of the game) "Present day Detroit" "Years after Robocop's invention cyberdyne system is contracted by sac- Norad. Soon after Skynet is brought online, it becomes selfaware, and determines the enemy to be mankind. It launches a genocidal war of machine versus man,. Robocop is brought back online into the terminator outpost and realizes he must battle his way through the terminator-infested future to reach the inner sanctum of skynet. If Robocop is to save humanity, he must defeat the skynet CPU." Get ready! %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% B: All about the game(short view of it) %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Well, it's a quite nice game, at least if you like to get a little crazy and wants to bloss some steam. You're permitted to actually kill enemies in this game(even humans). So it's a good game if you feel for some blood. It's pretty cruel with a lot of blood and deaths. So too young kids shouldn't play it(about 7-or less, but that depends on how the child is developed and all that stuff, right?) Yeah! "FINALLY a cool not "sweet" game for the genesis" was about what I thought when I found the game. It's time to rock! "The best alternative to shoot 'em ups for the genesis" would be the best description of how good it is. When I play this game, I actually get reminded of Contra3: The alien wars(another great game for SNES). It's quite similar to this one, for example you can change guns and weopons to another, etc. In this game, the enemies DOES NOT come back after they are dead. And so it is with the weopons, if you do not take it when you can, they'll be gone and only comes back when you lose a continue or start over from the beginning again. Great work, great game! *************************************************************************** C: My own review *************************************************************************** Here is a review I did for the game that tells you about it, a short glance and description of it so you get some info before you start playing it, or if you wonder about anything.(This review can also be found at www.gamefaqs.com and www.chocobo-island.com, I sent it there too. It's exactly the same review) +++++++++++++++ +THE REVIEW!!!+ +++++++++++++++ Date review was made: 2000-07-01 "TERMINATOR!!!" Yakuza's review for Robocop Versus Terminator, for Sega Mega Drive 2, Genesis.(Please exscuse me for further spelling/grammatical errors, sorry! :( I'd like to say I'm not really a fan of Robocop or Terminator(I've just seen one of the movies, the first one, Robocop). I didn't buy the game for Robocop itself, it was my friend that said the game was good, and told me I should by it(I found it for $6 U.S.!) And he was right. The game was made in 1993, by Virgin(english company) and is a platform game where you're robocop, fighting the dangerous new computer Skynet. (I can't believe it, the game was made 7 years ago and still is this good!) |Story:| "A while after Robocop's invention is done, computer scientists use Robocop's revolutionary engineering, the only successful linking of human mind and computer, to build skynets CPU. Then something goes terribly wrong. Pretty soon after Skynet is brought online, it becomes crazy and determines the enemy to be mankind. It launches a genocidal war of machine versus man. Attempting to vanquish the human resistance, skynet sends a squadron of terminators into the past(and a lot more enemies and droids). These terminators arrive in the DCP offices and lure Robocop into a battle with the mighty ED-209. Once Robocop defeats ED-209 ADCP, he uploads himself into the computer and unknowingly gives skynet the technology it needs. Robocop is brought back online into the terminator outpost and must battle his way through the terminator-infested future to reach the inner sanctum of skynet. If Robocop is to save humanity, he must defeat the skynet computer." Well, the story doesn't really effect the game itelf so much, it's more like a platform game where you shoot everything that gets in the way, so the story isn't very important, on the contrary to a RPG. I guess it's not bad, nor good. |Score story: 7.5/10| |Audio(Music/sound):| Nice and fitting music. Don't expect any piano and melodic songs here, it's just pure energy!! Ok, it could have been a little better but it's quite good, and definitely the better type for a game like this. As in many Genesis games, you have a sound test in the option mode, where you can check all the songs/sounds in the game. Go and check it out. But of course that's not like playing the game with the music/sound. You'll love to hear it while playing the game, like when you beat a boss and Robocop says "you're terminated!" to it. As I said, the music is pretty good but the sound is even better. You'll love to hear all explosions, sounds from the different guns(lazerbeams, bazookas, etc.) and all the screams and noises from evil guys you take out. And let's not forget all digital noises from all droids you destroy and face. The sound is great. |Score audio: 8.5/10| |Control:| Maybe the "worst" side of Robocop VS Terminator, even if the control is good. "Then how can you say it's the worst side of the game?"-you might say. Well, it's because the other things are so good in this game! The control is definitely not bad, it's nice and smooth. While playing the game, you'll learn the controls pretty fast and when you get it, it's plain and simple to use. The only reason why the control doesn't get top score is because of that Robocop himself is quite big(not giant, but quite big) so it's not so easy to dodge bullets. But maybe that's done just to increase the diffcultness. Oh well, the weopons and items make the control even better, you can move around as you like, walk to the right and left, jump, duck, run upwards/downwards ladders, climb lines, shoot in any direction you want, etc. |Score control: 8.3/10| |Graphics:| Whoa, is this for Genesis? Just look at the backgrounds and the awesome weopons! Really, the backgrounds are nice done, the details are smooth and the coulors are great. The characters and enemies/bosses you face are also very nice done, with varying coulors and size, some are small, others are big. Each time you kill an enemy blood splats and fall down on the ground, in a natural way where the graphic looks realistic. You'll face living and robotic enemies, both of them can die, but they do it in different ways. The mankind gets fried and blood splashes out on the floor, meanwhile the robots break down, with explosions. |Score graphics: 9.3/10| |Gameplay:| Splash! Aaah! "You're terminated!"-That's the main lines in this game. It may sound horrible, but this is a real fun game to play. You really feel invicible, playing a game like this. Pick up a weopon, relax and just go for it! No complicated problems to solve, no difficult moments with gaps, no strategies that never work, it's just simple pure action, downloaded in a black small box that's inside your Genesis! Another advantage about Robocop Versus Terminator is that even if it's somewhat based on a movie, you definitely don't have to watch the movie to understand the game. It's really fun anyway. The only real weakness that matters I can find in "Robocop Versus Terminator" is that it's about 10 levels to beat, after you've done that there's not so much more to do. It's not endless, you know what I'm saying?(But name a game who is!). That's why the game gets a 9 in total score. But at least there are enough to keep you inspired for 10-15 hours , after that you might get a little tired of it. But hey, what do you get for $10-15 U.S. that's better than this? |Score gameplay: 9.0/10| |Challenge:| If you don't have the right weopons, you're toast! Imagine, the first levels are easily beaten with the small basic gun Robocop has, but after 3- 4 levels you have to get the better weopons just to have a chance staying alive! So try to be careful, you lose the gun, you lose your life! But if you die, you still have the chance to get a new one on the stage, which is very good because otherwise it would be frustating. Also, you can choose among different difficulties, Wimpy(easy), Normal, Hard, Killer(super- hard). It may sound easy at Wimpy, but it's not. The game is quite hard to beat, especially for newcomers that can't stand enemies that come all the time. Even for rutined players this may be a tough challenge. To beat it, you must be tough, never hesitate, etc. But what's good is also that the diffcultness throughout the game increases as more levels you beat. For example, the first 3 levels are pretty easy but then it gets noticably harder for each stage you beat. |Score challenge: 8.8/10| $Replay value:$ You'll play Robocop vs Terminator at least one more time after you beat it. And the optimal hardest mode will make the game hard to beat, and that keeps you playing for a while. But what gets you back to R.V.T. is that it's just such a fine relaxing game. What I mean is that you don't need any senses or abilities, all you have to do is just play it. And sometimes this can be just so satisfying. Even if R.V.T. is not as fun as after you beat it, the replay score doesn't drop that much. Score replay: 8.2/10 |Summary:| A well done game. Even if it's is cruel and bloody, it's well based and planned, with awesome graphics and nice music, plus an amusing gameplay and lots of weopons to test. You have to search for a better platform game, with more blood than this one(don't get me wrong, I'm not a violent guy, it's just that the game is good). Definitely worth $15 U.S. or less, if you still play old and good games. Trust me, you still own a Genesis? You know where to by this game, for $10-15 U.S.? Buy it then! |Overall score: 9.1/10| |TOTAL SCORE(Score on a line between 1-10): 9/10| Last line, describing the game(one line synopsis): "You're terminated!" That means the controls are pretty important! Well, all you gotta do in this game is actually just run and shoot, at least on the easier levels. When you play at "Killer", you gotta be a little more careful because any damage you're dealt will hurt much more. You don't really need to know what the controls are in this game, I'm pretty sure you'll find out them soon anyway. There is one important movement though, that's worth recognizing, otherwise you can't complete the game(what I'm talking about is the high jump). Here's what the different controls do: >>>>>>>>> A-button: <<<<<<<<< Change weopons. You use it to change weopons, from the one you have to the other. This sounds really easy(indeed it is!) but there is something more behind it. If you can combine your weopons, the shooting gets more effective. Also, if you're about to die, you can change weopons so you don't lose the most valuable weopon of them. When you die, you LOSE THE WEOPON YOU'RE CARRYING! Not the other, so be sure to use the crappy weopon then! """""""""" B-button: """""""""" Just hold for automatic fire, or press all the time(I prefer the first alternative, much more comfortable and doesn't break the control :) ££££££££££ C-button: ££££££££££ To jump, all you got to do is to press the C-button. Robocop will jump then. To jump even higher, press in the up-direction with the moving pad as you press the C-button. This will make so Robocop jumps even higher and this is neccessary to go on through the game(at some places, you're bound to do this). +++++++++++ Moving pad: +++++++++++ Press down/up/left/right to move on ladders, lines, etc. Press right/left to go left or right. Hold B-button and press down to heighten/lower the weopon(only works with a few, like the lazer beam). Press down to duck. Press down+A to go down from platforms. --- Well, that was the main buttons. Not much more to say about it, eh? Now start playing! _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_ E: Weopons _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_-_-_ _-_-_ The weopons are of importance in "Robocop Versus Terminator". Sometimes a weopon could be more valuable than a life or two(sounds strange but that's how it is). So here's a section telling you everything about the guns. I also rated the guns, in my opinion. 1-10, 1 is worthless, 10 is great. These are the weopons you can use(I made the names myself): ||-||-||-||-||-||-||-||-||-|||| ||Plasma gun(Very good) || ||Red sniper lazer(Good) || ||Gamma ray gun(Very good) || ||Machine gun-ED 209(Good) || ||Pistol(weak) || ||Missiles(quite good) || ||Seeking missiles(good) || ||Bomb gun(ok) || ||Flamer(?) || |-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-| ;;;;;;;;;;; Plasma gun ;;;;;;;;;;; One of the better guns in the game. Almost one of the best. The bullets are yellow and three each time you fire. The mark is a yellow drop. The gun is a bigger bazooka with yellow onto it. Not so common, pretty rare to find. This gun is very good against the last boss, because it destroys the obstacles plus that it's hurting the main boss. Very good because otherwise the obstacles make a lot of damage to you. ||Advantages: The plasma gun can take away a sort of bullets that get near you. Just shoot and if the bullets from the plasma gun hits the attacking bullets, they might get destroyed. This is very good because then you can avoid a lot of damage, and protect yourself from dangerous things. But as I said, it doesn't work on every kind of bullets you face. Another advantage is that the gun is strong. Most enemies suffer quite bad of it. And the range is quite good, since it's three bullets. ||Disadvantages: Even if it's one of the strongest guns in the game, it may not be enough for a few real baddies in the end of the game. You might need another strong gun. But the gun is very good. Rated: 10/10 Thanks to that the gun is so good against the last boss it deserves a 10. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Red sniper lazer <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< A fast red thin lazer, good and pretty strong. It's the smallest gun you can see, black and so tiny it can be hard to see. You can find it at quite many places throughout the game. --Advantages: It's strong and very fast. Most enemies get smashed directly and since it's so quick you can turn around and shoot the next one. --Disadvantages: The range is long but not wide. It just goes in one direction so you have to target all enemies you want to hit. This could be a little hard, but the gun is good. Rated: 8/10 -------------- Gamma ray gun -------------- Strongest gun in the game, no doubt. It may defeat the terminators in one hit(!). The coulor of the rays are white and moves real fast, in a straight direction. Very rare. If you get it, be careful so you don't lose it. ~~Advantages: The strongest and most vicious weopon you can get. It defeats anything quickly. Use it against baddies as much as you can, and save it for the bosses. Don't use it in dangerous situations like when you're low on energy or when you plan to do anything risky(jumping over gaps, etc.) It's too valuable to lose. This is the weopon you might want to use on all bosses, since it's so strong. ~~Disadvantages: The range is a bit restricted. It goes the whole screen, but only in one direction and the beams are thin. Rated: 10/10 ==================== Machine gun(ED-209) ==================== The fastest gun you can get. It looks like the biggest gun, with white coulor. The bullets are red and goes straight forward, very quickly. A quite good gun, overall. [][]Advantages: It's strong, quick and busts the most enemies. [][]Disadvantages: The range is not so good, but as most guns. You have to target your enemies to hit. Rated: 8/10 +++++++ Pistol +++++++ The first gun you have, no matter how many lives you die. The mark is just black with a thin white line in it. The bullets are red/orange, small and go fast. But are very weak, you can stand shooting at a boss a thousand of these bullets and they can't destroy its armor. <>Advantages: Well, you can't lose it so there's no need to be afraid. The range is not so bad, even if the gun is the worst in the game. It works fine against the weak enemies in the beginning. <>Disadvantages: Many. Very weak, bad range, not even working against some enemies(seriously!). But if you don't have any other weopon, it will do(you're stuck with it). Rated: 2/10 \\\\\\\\\ Missiles ///////// Looks almost like the seeking missiles, just that it doesn't seek to the enemies, it goes in the direction you shoot. ::Advantages: Stronger than the pistol and goes quite fast. ::Disadvantages: The range is short. It doesn't even go the whole screen. It goes in a straight direction, but the missiles ends after a few meters from Robocop. So if an enemy is standing at the other side of the screen and you're on the other, you can't take him out with this weopon, unless you go nearer. Oh well, the range isn't disastrous but when fighting bosses this may be more important than on the stages. Rated: 7/10 ***************** Seeking missiles ***************** Homing missiles that seek to the enemies. Not so strong, but effective. ++Advantages: Hits everything. Is quite fast and a real busting weopon. Works fine against many but weak enemies. ++Disadvantages: Is not that strong it should have been to be the best gun in the game. But strong enough to be a great game. Rated: 8/10 ......... Bomb gun ......... Might be the avarage gun in the game. It competes with the lazer about that. The mark is full black and the bullets are grey round balls. Look out so you don't exchange this gun for another, that's disastrous if you want to have the other, they look quite much similar! ¤¤Advantages: You can move the bullets as you want, and it's quite strong. ¤¤Disadvantages: Quite slow(so better find a place to hide meanwhile they move). Well, overall I prefer the other guns(lazer beam, plasma etc) to this one because it's so slow but oh well. Rated: 6/10 ,,,,,,, Flamer ,,,,,,, Help! I need help on this weopon because I have never found it(I think, if I'm not making a mistake and think the flamer is another gun that I already found). If you know anything about this gun, please check the introduction section, I'd be glad if you do that! ==Advantages: (Coming soon, I hope) ==Disadvantages: (Coming soon, I guess) Rated: ()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()() F: Items ()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()() There are just three items you can find in R.V.T, all of them are to protect the hero. You can get them when you defeated an enemy, if you break a window or door, or they can just be waiting for you when you get there. The items you just find that are there, you can pick up any time you want. But the others that come out of windows or enemies, they'll disappear after a short while. Then you must take them before, or otherwise you won't get what it is. These are the items: -------------------- ||Life || ||Energy recovery || ||Shield || -------------------- ,,,,, Life: ,,,,, (Looks like a robocop head). The lives in this game can be collected in two ways; one is that you get it for each 10000 points you get. That's why the points are so important, a life can mean live or die in this game. Try to get as much score as you can, destroy everything you see if you have the chance(especially the mines, they give plenty of points) so you get more lives. The other way to get lives is to pick up robocop-heads over the whole game. As soon as you see one, pick it up and you gain 1 life. As I mentioned, the lives are very important later in the game. ||||||||||||||||| Energy recovery: ||||||||||||||||| (looks like a bottle, with some yellow ooze into it). You can find three different types of life-increasers, all of them look the same. The difference is that they recover different much. One sort recovers 1 /4 of your energy, the other half of your energy meter, and the best one recovers all of it. You can see how much they recover depending how full they are(if it's only a little, you get 1 /4, if it's half, you get half of your energy recovered, and if it's full your energy meter will be full). Try to take as many bottles like these as much as you can, but remember, you can't save them, Robocop uses them immeditately as he takes them. So there's no need to take them if your energy meter is already full. You can get the energy recovers all over the game. You can get it from enemies that you kill, from hidden places(like corners and so on, shoot to discover) and there can be bottles spread all over the game, placed at platforms you get to. Now, there's a huge and important different here. The bottles you get from the enemies or those that were hidden, they'll disappear after a short while after you see them. You can't wait because then you won't get anything, so run and take it immediately. But the ones that have been placed on platforms all over the game, they don't disappear until you take them. So there's no rush to take it when you see it. Save it for later then. Instead, take it easy and especially if your tank is full beat some enemies. Why? Well, you might get hurt by the enemies but just a little. Then you can go back to the energy recovery and fill up again, with the knowledge that you've already beaten those enemies ahead that they won't trouble you again. If you took the energy BEFORE you faced the enemies, you'll get damaged and can't recover the wounds. Nice trick huh! Oh, it's not a trick really, just a rutine. But don't do this all the time, for example don't be greedy. If you're low on energy and think you can beat some enemies before you go and take it, don't do that. You might get killed and then the recovery won't help. So it's always a consideration if you should take it or save it for later. It depends on the situation. You can also recover if you rescue a hostage, then your energy will be filled to maximum. """"""" Shield: """"""" (Looks like a blue shield). A very handy item. You find it in a few areas in the game, and I think you can obtain it from fallen enemies. If you take it, you're invicible. For a while. But surprisingly it's for a quite long time(it usually is a short time in most games). Meanwhile you're invicible, nothing can kill you(except if you fall down in gaps) so just keep going and destroy everything in your way! Remember to take the shields when you think it's the best time(like the energy recovery). Some of the shields are also scattered all over the game in hard situations that are almost impossible if you don't take the shield, so don't miss 'em! ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: G: Main Advices ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: 1. Shoot all the time. You always hit anything, no matter what it is. This will destroy a lot of enemies and keep you safe. 2. Be careful with exchanging guns. You might get a gun you don't want to get, and if you die while changing guns, you'll lose the valuable gun. Learn how and when to change guns as soon as you can! 3. Save the energy bottles if your energy meter is full(read the item section for further info). 4. Team your weopons as good as you can, for example you can have one strong but bad range gun and one gun with good range but not so strong in your equipment so they can help each other(and you). That will complete the weopons together and make it easier. Use the different guns against different enemies(for example, the lazer beam is best against terminators, but the plasma gun is best for defense). 5. Don't panic or play fast because then you just face more enemies and it gets harder. Try to remain as calm as you can, no matter the situation. And just keep walking and shoot down all evil guys you find calm. 6. If you have the chance, destroy as much targets as possible, you get score which bring lives. The lives are very important, so do that. 7. Against strong bosses or enemies, it might be better to stand still and shoot than jumping/running around since then you just might get more hit or you'll not hurt the boss. Your choice. 8. Hide behind ladders, bars, trashcans or whatever so you get protection from bullets etc. 9. When you're about to die(short of energy or in a dangerous situation), change to a less important gun. 10. Sometimes you can hit enemies standing on platforms, but they can't hit you. Use this to kill them. Remember, a dead enemy won't come back, and then you don't have to face it later. £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ H: Stage information £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ Yeah, in many faqs you get the info about the stages at the walkthrough section, but in my faqs I usually add an extra section where I describe everything like environments, descriptions etc. about the sections. Enjoy! ************************************************** |Stage 1: Trainer Level(very easy) | |Stage 2: Streets of Detroit(very easy) | |Stage 3: Delta City under Construction(normal) | |Stage 4: The Toxic Farm(easy) | |Stage 5: OCP office Complex(hard) | |Stage 6: Terminator Outpost(hard) | |Stage 7: Underground Complex(normal) | |Stage 8: Underground Bunker(normal) | |Stage 9: The wall to Skynet(hard) | |Stage 10: Skynet(very hard) | ************************************************** Remember that you don't need to do as the intro text for each level says(like rescue the hostages and stuff like that) it's just a bonus form like gaining more points or anything else like an advice. The main directive is always to beat the stage, and it will always be a small(or big!) boss at the end. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ Stage 1: Trainer Level -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ Description: These first levels are those that are easy(and maybe the most fun if you want to see blood). It's full of creeps and tough guys that wander the streets. As soon as they see ya, a genocide starts. Of course they stand no chance against you, so blood will fall. You'll face many but weak enemies. Some are hiding in the windows(like snipers), some are stupid enough to be out on the street. Your main goal is to go to the boss(a big dude) and defeat him. You'll have no problems at all in this level. If you're new to this game, be sure to practice here. You need it later at the harder levels. Enemies: Snipers, Creeps, Heavy dudes, bombs, ============================= Stage 2: Streets of Detroit ============================= Description: Looks almost like the previous level, you're still on the street. But here you gotta climb more ladders and investigate a little more. If you play on Wimpy(easy) you'll see where to go(the arrows show you the way). Many guns and wealthy items are hidden high up on the buildings so if you have the time and energy, search the stage. At the end you face a terminator. Enemies: Snipers, creeps, heavy dudes """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Stage 3: Delta City under Construction """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Description: A level where you'll hang in lines, etc. Plain very easy, just go on and have fun. Here in the beginning is the chance earning score for lives to the forthcoming levels... Enemies: Flamers, punks, etc. |||||||||||||||||||||||| Stage 4: The Toxic Farm |||||||||||||||||||||||| Information: "Watch out for the toxic waste" says the mission. Yes, that's right. Definitely watch out for the toxic waste! It's very dangerous so keep out of it. If you fall down in it, you'll die an entire life(pretty unneccessary, so don't do that). Keep going through the place, you'll make it quite unharmed. Enemies: Toxic gas, toxic waste, heavy dudes, creeps, snipers, deadly lazers ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 5: OCP office Complex ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Description: "Rescue the OCP hostages and trash the offices". You heard him, do as he says! Just go and trash everything(this is one of my fave stages, you can just go and crush everything that comes up, but that requires a decent gun) Just watch out for the guys dressed in a lila coat, their guns hurt! But you got a great gun(plasma, lazer beam) this will be be fun! Enemies: Deadly lazers, security guards, TV's @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Stage 6: Terminator Outpost @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Description: "Free the rebel commanders". This might be the biggest stage(and one of the more difficult ones) in the game. There are a few rebel commanders held under siege at some places. You can always free them to get some extra points and recovery, but as always it's your choice(all you have to do is beating the stage, that's the main goal as always). Anyway, there are a few secret things at this level(see the walkthrough for further details) and you'll face tons of enemies. Watch out for the fire, gaps and boulders in the ceiling! Try to find the lazer beam gun as quickly as possible because with it you can wipe away the terminators with one shot! Enemies: A lot, some are terminators, red terminators, boulders etc. Most terminators. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Stage 7: Underground Complex %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Description: "Just stay alive". The instruction booklet says this place is the hardest in the game. I don't agree 100% but sure, it is hard. The reasons are not too many enemies to fight, but that there are tons of deadly lasers scattering their bullets that hurt soooo much. So whatever you do, be very careful when approaching one of them! At this stage, the main advice is to not be in a rush, shoot everything down cooly and proceed slowly... Enemies: Deadly lasers, terminators, + more. //////////////////////////// Stage 8: Underground Bunker \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Description:"Annihilate the red terminators". Yeah as you heard there are red t's here, the toughest enemies you can face. The lazer beam won't finish 'em up in a flash and overall the red T's can stand a lot damage. Hide behind stuff and shoot. The stage is quite big, so there's no need to rush. Also, watch out for gaps etc. Enemies: Red T's. }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Stage 9: The wall to Skynet {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Description: "Take out the radar dishes". If you do, you'll eventually gain some energy, but not all the time. As always, go for the boss at the end. You have to go through a long long stage, where you must use the recovery and weopons hid in the radars. Keep playing and do your best. Enemies: Worst you can think of(yes, I am too lazy to type up the enemies! ;) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stage 10: Skynet ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Info: "Defeat the Skynet boss". You're about to fight the last boss but first you have to go through one more stage. It's full of dangerous droids etc, so make sure to have a good gun. Watch out for flying robots, they are the ones that are most dangerous since they fly into ya. At the end you'll find a decent place where you can choose any gun you want(´cept the flamer if it exists). Enemies: Last boss, flying droids, terminators etc. o00o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0oo0o0oo0o00000oooo0o0oo000o0oo000o0o0o0o0o0ooooo0o0000 I: Walkthrough o00o0o0oo0o0o0o0000o00o00o00o00o0o0o00o00o0ooo00o0o0o0o0o0o000000o0o00o00oo Yeah, finally we're into the walkthrough section. Ok, since this game is a platform game, the walkthroughs get a little more detailed than for example RPG's that are usually larger games. So in this walkthrough I told you where to go like "jump from this platform to that one" etc. I tried to find everything you can get that is secret in this walkthrough, how to get weopons, energy, etc. But as you know it's extremely hard to know everything about a game so if I missed anything, you don't need to get angry, ok? You can mail and tell me about it then, and I'll update it(and of course you get listed at the credit section). Questions/comments anything can be delivered to lufia3@hotmail.com I'll do my best to answer and reply your e-mails. I based the walkthrough on each stage, with the most important info. I mean, all info you really need is just "keep going and shoot" but oh well, I'll tell you some more things... Ok, enjoy the walkthru now! ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Stage 1: Trainer Level ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ +Prime Directive: Avoid the bullets+ (Press start) You won't have any problems with this stage. All I need to tell you really is to go right and you'll face the boss. Here's a more detailed information chapter. As in most platform games that are sidescrolling, it starts with that you should walk in one direction. Go right. You'll soon notice that there are many bad-mannered creeps that need to be taught a lesson. A carnage is about to begin... In the first window there's a recovery(1/4). Up on the roof is another, jump up there. Keep heading right. Go up the ladder, go right and up the next ladder. If you go up this building you're standing in front of, you'll find a missile gun. Since you have no other weopon, jump up to the platforms(up +jump button) and get to the top. Pick up the weopon. After you have it, go down and right. There's a recovery in the window. There's a life to take up to the left building right before you come to a ladder. To get it, go to the ladder, climb as high up as you can(but don't get off it) and jump(jump +up) to the left side and land on the next building. Go up on top and you find 1 life. Go right. If you go down and right you find a new gun, missile seekers. You'll also find a bomb gun in a window near the ground. The boss is at the right. (Boss strategies in the boss section). &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& Stage 2: Streets of Detroit &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& ¤Prime directive: Rescue the hostages¤(press start) Ah, out on the street! As the previous level, all you have to do is walk to the right and you'll find another boss. But if you're interested, here's all of it: Yeah, to get up where the arrow points, you need to go right, climb the ladder and then go left. Cross "the bridge". You'll find the first hostage here. Then jump over to the left side and rescue the second. Go up.There's a missile gun in the window up on the left building.Go right and cross the bridge. Down in the secret building, there's something that can't be seen(covered by the wall). Go on to the right. You'll get over to a new building. There's a recovery in the window. Go down. Some enemies are ahead. Slaughter them all and then go up and left at the first level fo the house. You find another hostage. Go up the ladder.Cross the bridge to the right. Go down and right. Go up the ladders and kill everything. Free the hostages. Go up and you find a plasma gun! Try to save this one as good as you can, you'll have great use of it later. A real valuable gun. Go right and free another hostage and cross to the right. (It's soon boss time). There's a missile gun on the roof and a recovery. Be sure to not exchange the plasma gun for it. Go right and you'll find a terminator pretty soon(the boss). '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Stage 3: Delta City under Construction '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' #Prime directive: Take out the security cameras#(press start) Go right and up. Hang and break the camera with your gun. Go left and up and then right. After you've done that, head up and left. You'll find a shield that can protect you from a lot of damage. Meanwhile you have it, go up and right. Keep heading right and down. Watch out for the gas that comes out from the rears. Go left. You'll see a life and a recovery. To get it, go left, jump up and hang in the chain, jump to the next and climb to the left. From there, jump up to the next chain and then jump up to the right platform. Now you can get what you want! After, go down and right. The cameras will give you a life if you destroy them. Go right and up. You face boss 3. )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( Stage 4: The Toxic Farm )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( )( %Prime directive: Watch out for the toxic waste%(Press start) As always, go right and then head up the ladder. Go left from there and up. You must cross the toxic waste here, it's almost like a trap. Before you do it, change to a less important weopon because it's risky to jump over, and if you die it's better to lose a less important gun than a good one. Then, make yourself ready and try to jump to the middle of the two cans. Before you jump over, destroy the flames. Then jump to the middle. If you land right, you will not be harmed. But if you land wrong, you'll die a life. If you die, you'll be invicible (as usual after losing a life) then use it to get out of there quickly so you don't lose anymore lives. But if you succeeded to land in the middle, jump over the trashcans and land on safe ground. Either way you're on safe ground, head on to the right and down. Here you can jump into the wall(in a weird way) to find a secret recovery. Keep heading right. Don't take the weopon you see, it's just the bomb gun anyway(just ruins your game). Instead, head on to the right. Go up and left. Take the shield(invicibility) you find and go on, up on the platform is a plasma weopon and a recovery. No, you don't need to speed up as hanging in the strip, so just take it easy. Go over the toxic gas slowly and safely and drop to the safe ground. Then go to the right and stand on the platform. From there, you actually can jump up on the platform if you press up and jump-button. After you have the weopon, go to the right and it's bosstime. ############################## Stage 5: OCP office Complex ############################## &Prime directive: "Rescue the OCP employees and trash the office&(push start)" Go right. Rescue the first hostage and keep heading right, all the way. After the second hostage, go down. A gun will fall down, which you can pick up(and of course use), but I wouldn't take it if I were you... Head left after you went down. Go into the door. Go left. Rescue the hostage and enter next door. Go left(you'll face some terminators here). Enter the door and you'll find another gun(hopefully you still got your plasma left, so don't take it, otherwise do so). Go left and down. There are 9 televisions to trash here(he he!) Enter the door. Go right, you'll get a shield. Go right and bust the rest of the enemies and stuff and soon it's boss time! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stage 6: Terminator Outpost !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <>Prime direcive: Free the rebel commanders<>(push start) Go right and down. Rescue the first hostage. Go left. Watch out for the boulders, destroy 'em. Investigate the whole cave. You'll find a lazer gun and if you search enough down low to the left, you find one who shoots white beams(the best gun). Rescue all hostages to gain extra points and recovery, then go left and down. Enter the door. Search through the new end of the cave. You'll find a plasma gun pretty soon. Go up. When you're as high up as you can, keep going left even if the directive pointing arrow points in another direction, because you'll find something valuable here. Enter the door and you'll find a life. Then go back and down. Soon you'll face boss nr 6. ============================== Stage 7: Underground Complex ============================== @Prime directive: Just stay alive@(press start) At this stage, the enemies are crazy and really desperate, so there's no real tactic to use, the best way is to be as careful as possible and move on slowly. But at some places, it's better to desperately run through it. You have to decide in what situation the one of them are best to use. Go right and head on. It's impossible to describe this place, so you have to play for yourself. Use your strongest weopon and kill everything. See what I mean? The enemy are nuts and freaks out, shooting bullets in every direction! It's full war, so keep fighting! Hang on, at the end you'll finally fight the seventh boss, so don't give up! [[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[ Stage 8: Underground Bunker ]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]] --prime directive: Annihilate the red terminators--(push start) Go right, all the way. After the red terminator, you find a white laser(valuable, don't lose it). Go down and head right. Go down and left. Down here, there's a risky way to earn a life, but you can also lose one on the way. If you want to take the chance and think you can make it(it's not that tough, so test it someday ;) go left, cross the fire and go up right. In the trashcan there's a life. But it might not be worth the effort if you're not a skilled player... Enter the door at the other side, and go right. To the right are red terminators guarding a shield and a recovery. Smash the mines(you'll get plenty of points!). Go down into the door. In there is the 8th boss... ;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;: Stage 9: The wall to Skynet ;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;:;: "Prime directive: Take out the radar dishes"(press start) Last stage, before the final battle. But don't start dreaming about it yet, you have to beat this level and it's not done that easily, and at the end is a boss. And also, there's a "final" stage before facing the skynet boss, so keep focused... Go right. After you destroyed the first radar you get a plasma gun(welcomed). Go up the ladder. Go right and head on. Go down, left and then right. You'll face a metal cancer(them whom got solid defense). If you have the white lazer beam canon, you can always stay and destroy it, but if you don't, don't bother and escape over the to the other side(takes too much time, not worth the effort). Go right, down and left. Enter door. Go down and then right a long way. Follow the platforms and jump to the platform with a life. Go right. A long ladder. You might get damaged. Watch out. The satellite(radar) holds an energy bottle. Go up. Enter the door and fight the terminator boss... <::><::><::><::> Stage 10:Skynet <::><::><::><::> ||Prime directive: Defeat the skynet boss||(push start) Heh heh heh! You did well, coming all this way! But if you lose now, there's no need playing more. You know why? Well, the few lives you start with then(max.7) won't be enough. Ok, that's not the worst, you start with the pistol right? And that one won't stand a chance against these enemies. So make sure to play on and not die... Go down and try to survive as good as you can. Go up and enter the door. Go on and on, enter the doors and soon you get an opportunity to choose a weopon. If you want to beat the game for sure, no matter how long time it takes, choose the plasma gun(see boss section for further info). If you want to finish the boss quicker but not that 100% sure you'll win, take the laser beam. Watch out for the two droids that attack you before you get there. Enter the area, hit the lights and fight the boss... Good luck! See boss sections if you get trouble(not impossible). After the battle, the last text comes up: "Congratulations. By defeating the sky net computer, the terminator invasion has been prevented We hope you had a blast. Are you sure you have found all the secret levels?" (The credits) ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? J: Enemies ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? The enemy list, tells you about the tactics and some info about the enemies. As you can see, I rated the enemies in my way, that's my opinion how hard they are. They're on a list from 1-10(like my review for the game), 1 is very very easy, 10 is super hard. All enemies in a list: =========================================================================== ||Terminators(Enemies, HARD)----------||Creeps(Enemies, VERY EASY) || ||Tough guys(Enemies, VERY EASY)------||Macho guys(Enemies, VERY EASY) || ||Snipers(Enemies, EASY)--------------||Cameras(Obstacles, VERY EASY) || ||Alarms(Obstacles, VERY EASY)--------||Cranes(Enemies, NORMAL) || ||Toxic waste(Trap, DANGEROUS)--------||Toxic gas(Trap, DANGEROUS) || ||Wall robots(Enemies, NORMAL)--------||Security guards(Enemies, HARD) || ||Flying droids(Enemies, NORMAL)------||Flying robots(Enemies, HARD) || ||TV(Obstacle, VERY EASY)-------------||Hydrants(Obstacles, VERY EASY) || ||Deadly lazers(Enemies, HARD)--------||Boulders(Traps, NORMAL) || ||Red terminators(Enemies, VERY HARD)-||Trashcans(Obstacles, VERY EASY) || ||Mines(Traps, DANGEROUS)-------------||Metal cancers(Enemies, VERY HARD || ||Radars(Obstacles, VERY EASY)--------||Lazer beams(Traps, NORMAL) || ========================================================================== }}}} TV: {{{{ (Just a regular TV, looks like tv:s and it shows your head/face on it. Not really an enemy, more just like an environent item). You find the televisions in the OPC offices, where it shows your face(Robocop's). Probably it's a security tv that tells the guards who's the intruder. You can destroy the televisions if you want, I usually do that because I like to trash things in a game like this. Attacks: None(how could a TV attack someone?!?) Rated: 1/10 VERY EASY. [[[[[[[[ RADARS: ]]]]]]]] (Looks like TV sets, those who sends programs. Or a satellite/space stuff). You find this item at the fifth stage where the main directive is to destroy these. If you do, you'll gain more points after the stage plus that there are often valuable items in it(like recovery, shields). So I suggest you destroy them if you see them. Just watch out, some of them can carry enemies inside! Attacks: None. Rated:1/10 VERY EASY. ((((((((((((((( DEADLY LAZERS: ))))))))))))))) (Droid glued to the floor, comes up sometimes and fires deadly lazer). You find this enemy at the later levels, because it's a little harder than the other enemies to defeat. It's pretty quick so it's hard to hit it, because it goes down into the ground again before you fire and hides. You must shoot it quickly. Watch out for the lazerbeams/bullets it shoots, they hurt a lot. Stay behind something to cover yourself. Attacks: Strong bullets, spreading in a wide series. Rated: 6/10 HARD. ------------- LAZER BEAMS: ------------- You spotted the crazy machines in the floor on the later levels that as soon as you step near, it appears, makes a real strange sound and spit a lot of yellow bullets at ya? Well, this droid is really dangerous at the harder levels because whenever you're dealt damage, you lose awefully much energy and since this droid spit bullets like a maniac it's easy to get caught. Be cautious, hide behind something and go straight and kill it as fast as you can. Attacks: Spits a cloud of small heavy bullets that hurt. Rated: 7/10 NORMAL. $$$$$$$$$ CAMERAS: $$$$$$$$$ (Yeah just regular cameras that are outspread at one stage where the prime directive is to trash them. No real enemy). Like the radars, these items are to destroy. You'll gain more points and you can also recover your energy if you trash them. They are pretty hard to find though, but they exist at stage 3. Attacks: None. Rated:1/10 VERY EASY. £££££££££ SNIPERS: £££££££££ (Skulking guys inside windows, that just put out a gun). You'll meet these enemies only in the beginning, since they are so easy. One hit and they'll die. But since they hide behind a window, they can be a little harder to target than the other enemies around(that's why they're called snipers, hiding inside a room with a window). But if you just move around, they'll show themselves and then it's just to put a bullet in 'em. Just watch out for them if they're many, the bullets can get hard to avoid then. When you kill them, the windows will be painted in blood and their guns fall down to the ground. Attacks: When you're in the right position for an ambush, they fire a lot of bullets. Otherwise they just hide. Try to trick them out and hit 'em. Rated:2/10 EASY. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ FLYING DROIDS: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ (Flying small droids, only appears on the last levels). Their main goal is not to shoot but instead fly into you. It seems they have been loaded with explosive material because they hurt a lot when crashing. Try to avoid them as much as you can and shoot them down quickly. Attacks: Most of the times, it just flies into ya, and that hurts a lot. Rated:5/10 NORMAL. """"""""""""" WALL ROBOTS: """"""""""""" (Purple color, machines sitting in the ceiling, in most levels after the first few ones). These robots are quite easy to destroy, but they are many and together they are a threat. Their bullets are so strong that you need to watch out. Use a plasma gun or something else to destroy the bullets so you won't be harmed. Or if you have the chance, hide yourself behind a trashcan, a block or anything else. Vanquish them quickly so you can get out of there quickly. There are also often other enemies around where they are, but take out these ones first, you just need to hit them once and then they are gone. Attacks: Spreads a lot of bullets from the ceiling and down. The bullets can be destroyed. Rated:5/10 In my opinion, the wall robots are in avarage NORMAL. !!!!!!!!!!!!! TERMINATORS: !!!!!!!!!!!!! (Looks like the terminators in the movie...oh you haven't seen it? Well, the terminators are first a human and when you hit them enough they turn into a robot that is grey.) The terminators might be the most common enemies in this game. After stage 2 you'll face them everywhere. They are pretty strong and can take quite much damage. Sometimes(depending on your gun) you might need to shoot them down twice to destroy them, since they get up again when you took them out. Watch out for their bullets, it hurts a bit. Hide yourself behind something(i.e. block). You might want to use a plasma gun to protect yourself from it. But the best gun fighting terminators is the gamma ray gun(shoots white strong lazerbeams). This weopon can actually take out the terminators in one hit! Yes, if you hit it successfully when it's a droid, it will disappear. But you must first hit it so it turns to a robot from the human shape. After that it's time to rock n'roll. Check it out! Attacks: If it gets the time, the droid spreads a lot of strong bullets that can be destroyed, but don't let it fire, kill it first. Rated:6/10 I think the terminators are allover the game HARD. +++++++++++++++++ RED TERMINATORS: +++++++++++++++++ (Yellow/red color, looks almost like the common terminators. They are not in any human shape, you face them as droids immediately, on contrary to the other terminators.) Big brother to the usual terminators. And harder. This droid will not give up in the first place. You have to shoot him down several times before he breaks down. Even with the gamma ray gun you need to hit them several times(and let's not talk about the pistol). Thank god you won't face so many red terminators, they just exist at the last levels and are pretty few. But when you do face them, the tactic is to hit and run. Blast them with your gun and when it falls down, run and hide. When it wakes up, go back and defeat them. If you have nothing to use to hide, well just keep fighting on. The major difference from the red terminators and the common ones are that these can take much more damage. Attacks: Spreads a lot of bullets so watch out. Rated: 8/10 Overall, the red terminators are VERY HARD. ======== CREEPS: ======== (Small punks that think they can mess with you in the first levels. Show them a thing or two. They are dressed in green or blue clothing). These guys do not know what they're doing. As soon as they see you, they start firing their meager pistol. Simply pull up yours and shoot. The body explodes into a rain of blood. Just after one hit. As you can see humans don't have a chance against Robocop, especially not stupid ones that attack you... Attacks: They try to fire with a gun, just duck under the bullets. Rated:1/10 No doubt VERY EASY. //////////// TOUGH GUYS: \\\\\\\\\\\\ (Dressed in a black leather jacket, black and long hair, human. You can only face them at the first two levels). These guys look much more than they are. Maybe I gave them the wrong name(tough guys? They should be called cowards!). Simply shoot a bullet and they die. They're often standing on top of a roof, shooting down at you so you might need to jump and fire. Attacks: They shoot bullets, that are no threat at all. Rated:1/10 Also an easy decision: VERY EASY. ||||||||||| TOXIC GAS: ||||||||||| (The gas that comes up from the toxic cans, green/yellow coulor). Watch out for this gas, it hurts a lot(must be a real nasty ooze). As you're about to cross a bowl filled with toxic waste, some of the ooze comes up. If it hits you, you'll lose pretty much energy(but not a whole life as if you drop down into it). To protect yourself from the gas, you can destroy it before you go on. Just simply shoot it when it comes up, and it will vanish(in most cases). Then go on. Attacks: None really, just an obstacle. But watch out, it hurts! Rated:8/10 DANGEROUS(to touch). <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< SECURITY GUARDS: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (Purple clothing, looks like soldiers. Humans). At the fifth stage where you're in the OCP office, there are a type of security guards running around, firing missiles as soon as they see ya. I'm telling you, watch out for these missiles, your energy can't take many! The best way to avoid the missiles is to take out the people as soon as you see them coming. Of course there's an advantage to have a strong gun then. Then the guards won't have time to fire their missiles and they'll pass out before they do. But if you have a weak gun(i.e. the pistol) you're toast. The guards will fire and you'll lose energy quickly! I suggest you go find a weopon directly, if you don't have any! Otherwise the only way to survive is hiding behind metal objects... Attacks: With their mighty gun, they spit out missiles that hurt a lot. Rated:7/10 HARD. ;;;;;;;;;; BOULDERS: ;;;;;;;;;; (Brown/black boulders hanging in the ceiling). You can only find these ones in the mines. It's a sorta trap. When you walk in the mines, suddenly a huge boulder might fall down on your head. But if you destroy each rock you see, you won't have any problems with them. So search each corner of the mines, especially in the tricky places(they intend to be there mostly). Attacks: Drops down before you know it. Rated:5/10 Well, since this is a trap and the diffcultness depends on if you scan the whole area for rocks, it can't be more dangerous than NORMAL. :::::::::: TRASHCANS: :::::::::: (Trashcans! Grey color). All over the game, there are trashcans, for example at the street. You can use it to cover yourself, or you can destroy it as soon you see it. Inside there might be good things to pick up, so be sure to blast all trashcans when you don't need them. Attacks: None. Rated:1/10 Not a target. But in this game, you get score for everything you're hitting, so I say it's VERY EASY. *************** METAL CANCERS: *************** (Looks like metal crabs, crawling around on a few tiny legs, at the harder levels. Spreads a lot of mines along the floor). Watch it!!!! This enemy is tough! The first time I fought it, I thought it couldn't be defeated... Actually it can. But you need a strong weopon(the pistol won't work, that's what I used). If you have the white lazer(gamma ray gun) you can destroy it. Otherwise, just run away from it. It takes a lot of damage before it breaks down. Here's a trick to earn lives. You see all these mines it drops? For each mine you destroy, you get some points. If you destroy enough, you'll get lives for your points(each 10000= 1 life) So if you have the patience and caution(watch out for the crab's attacks) you can earn some lives wherever this enemy is. But watch out, the crab spreads bullets all the time, and getting hit is not to be recommended... Attacks: Drops seeking mines and shoots bullets. Solid defence. Rated: 9/10 VERY HARD. ---------- HYDRANTS: ---------- (Entire shape: Grey. Broken: Blue water). At the first street levels, there are some hydrants that will make a flood of water when you destroy them. Weirdly, they are repaired a few seconds later! Oh well, it's not an enemy though, just a thing around the corner. Attacks: None, really. Rated: 1/10 VERY EASY. ............. TOXIC WASTE: ............. (The toxic waste is the yellow ooze down into the cans on level 3). Caution! You drop down into these cans and you're a dead man, immediately so be careful! Try to jump over them instead, sometimes you can hang and pull yourself over in a rope. Attacks: None, but don't fall down onto it. Rated: 9/10 DANGEROUS. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, FLYING ROBOTS: ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, (Flying droids, but bigger than the other type). Don't be failed, these flying robots are not the same enemies as the flying droids. But almost. They just look different. Attacks: What do you think? These coward machines have probably been programmed to fly into ya with their metal and explode, creating a deadly combo against ya. Watch it! Just choose a gun and start shooting at him. He's dressed in a white t-shirt and blue pants. He's quite big, but you'll win easily. You don't even need a tactic, just take him out. Rated: 1/10 @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Disguised Terminator @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Info At the end of the second level, you'll face a disguised terminator. He first looks like a human with black hair and cool outfit, but the more you shoot him, the more of his real existance will be revealed. Tactic This boss is a little harder than the previous boss, but if you just have a powerful gun and concentrate you'll beat him. Especially if you have the plasma weopon. If you do, just stand and shoot him. The plasma weopon will take away his bullets also(protecting you), if you just don't stand too near. If you don't have the plasma weopon, use another. Stand far away and shoot him as much as you can. When he fires, try to avoid as many as possible. Keep shooting and you'll win. Show no mercy! Rated: 3/10 //////////////// Blue Mega Robot \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Info Finally the bosses start to get a bit harder. This one is a little difficult, but if you have a mighty gun you'll make it. The robot is blue and quite big, with giant legs and it shoots missiles. Watch out if he starts to come near, that hurts! Tactics I hope you still have the plasma weopon from the last boss you fought? Good. Now, as soon as you step into the room and you spot the boss, fire! Shoot as much as you can, until he fires. Avoid his bullets then and keep shooting. Don't move until he comes closer. When he does, change to a less important weopon, because now it's dangerous. Then jump up to the line and hang there. Try to jump over him to the other side, without touching him. If you touch him, you'll die a lot. But not as much like if you've been staying at the ground. Jump to the other side and drop down. Change to the plasma weopon and fire your gun and wait for him to turn around. Watch out for his bullets. When he comes near, repeat and jump to the other side. DON'T FORGET TO SWITCH WEOPON!!! You might lose a few lives on this boss, but this is the best tactic I can come up with. If you don't have a better gun than the pistol, then you have to fight on. You still can make it, but with fewer lives to the end. it's much easier with a handy gun here. Rated: 7/10 0o0o0o0o0o0 Battletank o0o0o000ooo Info Maybe the easiest boss in the game, for sure. The coulor's green and it's a battletank. You have to beat it in three stages; first the upper part, then the middle and at last the lower part. When all three are destroyed, the boss is defeated. The boss spreads powerful missiles(blue coulor) and less powerful bullets. Tactics You might want to have the plasma gun left from the stage, otherwise this boss will take time to beat(but not impossible if you just have the pistol, it just takes more time and effort). As soon you see the battletank enters the stage, fire. The boss will send out some missiles that go in a "rainbow way"(up and down). Avoid these as good as you can because they hurt a lot. But don't worry, the missiles won't hit you so often, and they are easy to avoid. And if you still have the plasma gun, you can reduce the missiles with it(remember, the plasma gun takes away some types of bullets). Just avoid the missiles and keep firing your gun and you'll be fine. When the first part is destroyed, keep firing and use the same tactic as the other. When you destroyed the second part, the battletank will stand still. Now it just sends those missiles. If you have the plasma gun, you can use bend down and shoot. If not, you have to be careful. Try to go near and jump and shoot the (leftovers of) battletank when you know it won't fire. You might need to time it. After a while the boss will break down. This boss is a lot easier if you have the plasma gun, it can protect you from the bullets. But as I said, the boss is pretty easy and you won't have any major problems. Rated: 5/10 =========== Robot tank =========== Info Looks a lot like the ATST in the star wars series(can they possibly have been inspired by star wars, say?). It's blue, big and shoots a lot of bullets, plus that it's walking in your direction... Tactics Use the plasma weopon(you hopefully got, he he!) to defend yourself against the stream of bullets and hitting him. Don't let him go too near ya, because the robot can make a dash and suddenly approach very quickly so you can't escape. When it gets too near, change weopons(risk losing it otherwise), get up in the ceiling and jump over it to the other side. After you hit it enough, the arm breaks down and you can get a weopon(the E305, speed bullets). Go and take it if you can. After some more time, the head drops and then concentrate on the body. Keep shooting down everything until it gives up. Without a decent weopon, this boss takes a lot of time, so make sure to enter the arena with a good one! Rated: 7/10 ++++++++++++++++++++ Terminator with gun ++++++++++++++++++++ Info The first thing you see when entering the room is a huge droid(terminator) standing behind a canon and firing bullets against you. You'll face this type of boss three times, after three levels. Check this place for the same strategy, since the bosses are exact copies... Strategies There's nowhere to hide, so the best way is standing in the middle and timing the jump. If you can't do that, you're in trouble so be sure to learn. Stand in the middle, fire bullets at him. Count the secs between his attacks(you don't have to count, just make sure you know when) and jump when you think it's time for the attack, to avoid it. When you come down start shooting again. With some practice and skills, you'll learn it soon enough to beat the boss. It doesn't look like it suffers anything! Well, it sure does. Just hang on until it dies. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Fire walking droid ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Info Ouch, tough one! A blue big droid that you'll fight in an environment with fire below. Make sure to hang in the ceiling, and don't fall down... Tactics This one can take a lot of damage before it breaks down, so you're in for a long day... Keep focused and have patience, hopefully you have a strong gun(with the weak pistol it takes about 5 years to finish this boss, I know that for sure ...) There's a recovery to the right, use it when you need to. Hang in the ceiling and shoot. Avoid the bullets as good as you can. When he gets too near, change weopon(so by an accident you won't lose the good one) and go to the other side. Rated: 8/10 <|><|> Skynet <|><|> Information Whoa! You found the evil Skynet that tries to take over the world! Prepare for a long long fight, it can take up to half an hour to beat this sucker. Be sure to have great weopons when fighting him, you gonna need it. For an example, once I fought this boss and had 27 lives. Then I started to play careless and botched up so I lost my good gun(the lazer beam). Then I had to fight with the regular pistol all of my 26 lives because he didn't drop any extra guns that time. I died all of the 26 and had to play over the game again. Wasn't too fun. So be sure to have a good weopon and make sure to KEEP IT. Also, Watch out for his attacks, they are scary. Especially that one that rolls like a chain with flying droids or something, that one hurts real bad! The main target you should hit is of course the big head, when you kill that one everything will be over. So don't care about the other droids he summons, they are just annoying. Ok, kill them if they create problems but don't focus on 'em. Tactic As I said, prepare for a long fight. Buckle up with two plasma guns(at least one) because that's the greatest gun to use at this boss. With it, you can just stand to the right side of the screen and shoot all the time. This will cover you from all his droids he lets out and also hit him. Just be sure to watch your back as small terminators might show up there. Keep firing with your plasma gun until he gives, it will take some time but that's the best way to defeat him. Don't try to do anything else because if you fail, you're ****ed. Really. Good luck! Rated: 9/10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! M: Different difficuties !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Killer"(Hard), "Wimpy"(Easy), "Normal"(Normal) are the different diffcultness you can choose among. In most games, the different modes doesn't really make the game harder. EXCEPT THIS ONE! If you play on "Wimpy"(Easy) you'll have no problem at all to beat the game. But if you choose "Killer"(hard) you'll notice the difference. If you want to know all the differences, this is the section for you. "Wimpy" Most enemies die very easily and they definitely don't shoot so much. You can take a lot of damage without your energy goes down drastically, you start with 7 lives, each time you start a new continue or a new game. If you play on wimpy, you won't have a lot of trouble and the lives will be collected easily. "Normal" You start each time on 5 lives, whenever you start a new game or a continue(instead of 7 as on wimpy). The bullets hurt more, and the enemies fire a lot more. "Killer" Ok, we're deep into it! If you thought normal was hard, try this one. Ok, you might not notice it until the later levels but if you play on "Killer", you almost need to know where every weopon, item and even the enemies are to survive. The bullets hurt much much more and 5 hits could be enough to get you killed. The enemies shoot more also. There are no arrows either that show you the way to go, so I think the producers of the game mean that this mode is for those who already cleared the game on another challenge mode first, before they test this one. This diffcultness is definitely harder but it's also much more fun. <:><:><:><;><;><;><:><:><:><;><;><;><:><:><:><;><;><;><:><:><:><;><;><;><:> N: Secret/hidden rooms/levels/stages <:><:><:><;><;><;><:><:><:><;><;><;><:><:><:><;><;><;><:><:><:><;><;><;><:> The first secret room When you come to the second stage in this game(Streets of Detroit) you can enter a secret stage. After you crossed a bridge in the beginning, you'll land in a room covered by a wall. You cannot see the character here. If you walk around in there, you'll hear that Robocop picks up several items but you won't know what it is. When you're in there, go left as long as you can(to the left lower corner) and from there push down/up. If you succeed, you enter a secret stage. Prime directive: Collect extra lives Er...if you're not careful, this won't be a place where you "collect extra lives" more like your graveyard... BE CAREFUL! It's not as easy as the first stage, it contains many terminators that just love to shoot you down. If you're careful, you can earn a life and a decent gun here, but on the contrary it can be the other. To find the life and the weopon, proceed upwards and at the end go right. You find an item changing weopons all the time, take the one you need and then step down and go out of the place. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: O: Credits ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: (Don't be fooled now, these are the credits I give people/companies, not the credits Virgin gives).
