Date: Monday, April 16, 2001 Version: 1.0 Name: J.T. E-Mail: flmode@hotmail.com Introduction: Nobody on the Internet has anything on this game. NOT A SINGLE ARTICLE. Believe me I've searched HARD and LONG. So here's my first Walkthrough. Walkthrough for Spider-Man: Animated Series First off before you even enter the first level, go to options and change the number of lives to five to last longer. OK now begin! Level 1: Laboratory Enemies: Lasers, Helicopter Bots, Ground Lasers, Spaceman Area 1: Jump up and grab some webbing. Then go over and punch the Switch to get the lights on (that is unless you like fighting in the dark) and jump up. Drop down and jump kick the Helicopter Bot and grab like 30 webs. Go back up pound on the 2 Helicopter's and fall to the bottom. Go left to grab some health or head right. Don't slip in the electric vat as you will die quickly. Get to the ledge over it and grab the extra life. Now follow the glowing arrows and surprise! A wall is trying to crush you. Defeat the spaceman to stop the wall. Go back to the former electric vat to exit. Area 2: Try to fall to the right so you don't lose a life in the chomping machine. Press down + jump to drop down. Destroy both of the ground lasers and go all the way to the sewer. Sewer: Basically just jump around collecting things. You get a Mr. Fantastic down here. If you can't get out do a jump kick to just make it. Area 2: Head right and grab a blue grenade. When you get to the platforms you could jump them to get 1 extra life or ignore it. You know the switch by the chomping machine? Hit it and head right to face . . . BOSS: Dr. Octopus - Hardness: * Strategy: Basically just keep throwing red or blue grenades at him or if you ran out just jump kick him. Watch out when he tries to lower himself onto you. He dies after a couple of hits. Grab the card and exit. Level 2: Coney Island and the Funhouse Enemies: Bomb Ducks, Strong Men, Walking Snakes, Fire Breathers, Rhino, Goblin Carts, Drill Head, Scorpion, Mysterio, Tinkerer Area 1: This is probably the biggest level. See that rocket right there? Jump into it to find the . . . Sewer: Get the Invisible Woman icon and collect the cornucopia of icons and power-ups. Area 1: Leave then travel through smashing the various bums. Don't touch the blue barrel until an enemy comes near. Punch it them bam he's gone. Throw 2 or 3 red grenades at Rhino. Area 2: This is one of the most parlous places in the game. Swing on the top tracks to make it all the way. DO NOT FALL! If you do you'll get run over by the Goblin Carts. Grab the extra life & defeat this next charging maniac to exit. Area 3: Your newfound friend the Scorpion lays out the welcome mat. Quickly dispatch him and move on. Drop and head left to grab an armor icon. Leap through the big hole and keep heading right. Throttle the fire breathing guy and exit. Area 4: This is just plain zany! Avoid the falling pillars, swinging hammers, punching gloves and Bomb Ducks. Kick through the window and hit the switch. Send Mysterio to the next dimension & hit that switch to open the opening. Move carefully while breaking the goblin heads. Take the health + armor icon. Smash the cart and go inside the rocket to head up. Web the Tinkerer's gun with 1 ball and proceed to fight . . . BOSS: Green Goblin - Hardness: ** Strategy: While he's on the jet jump kick him a couple of times and He'll get knocked off the Goblin Glider. He'll send tracking beams or shoot a straight moving laser at you. Just keep pummeling him while avoiding the tracking beams. Grab the card and leave. Level 3: The Deconstruction Zone Enemies: Storm Troopers, Shocker, Owl, Crowbar, Robotic Spider Area 1: Right before you do anything see the blue part in front of you? Press down + jump to drop down there. Now press down + jump again on the blue cover and bam! Sewer: They let you out in a different route but it's still the same. You get the Thing from here. Refill webbing and stock up on grenades. Area 1: Move on through bashing the Storm Troopers. If you can jump high enough you'll get an extra life. Trash the Owl and go on the Elevator. After a couple of hits the Crowbar flies from Crowbar's hands. Run to the far left to the next area. Area 2: Really straightforward. Get in the elevator and after that don't get hit by the swinging weights or you'll fall below. You can battle a Robotic Spider to get an armor icon. If you're a good climber you can drop right onto an extra life, blue + red grenade. Keep heading up and swing across to the steel platform. You have to jump really high here, if you miss the platform don't be discouraged. . . BOSS: Alistair Smythe - Hardness: ** Strategy: How do I beat him you might ask? Well, when he sends out those explosive balls avoid them since they drop mini-bombs, when they reach about your level shoot a web at them and they will destruct. With a little luck Alistair will be near and be caught by the explosion. Now that his chair is trashed he's mad. Avoid his vicious claws while shooting bombs or jump kicking him. After he's deceased, snatch the card and hop the steel bars to leave. Level 4: The Mean Streets of the City Enemies: Flying Troopers, Ground Troopers, Sniper Troopers, Machine Gun Men Area 1: Immediately jump on the sidewalk and run. When you see a health icon on the street, DO NOT GET IT, as you will be run over by a car. Bash your first group of Troopers and move on. Bash your second group then go to bash your third except this time there isn't a bench. Remember always take out the Flying one with 3 jump kicks first. Then bash the Machine Gun & leave. Area 2: Run to the far right, drop on the blue cover and enter the Sewer: Get The Human Torch this time. As always on the far left you can replenish your webbing. Area 2: Jump up the middle building while dodging sniper fire and you'll eventually reach . . . BOSS: Alien Spider Slayer - Hardness: *** Strategy: I always start out by using The Human Torch before I even touch it. Or you can start out by shooting some bombs at it then dodging it's roller spike attack. Don't get too close or you'll get clawed. It also can try and grab you or use its' fire breath. Keep maneuvering over it and throwing grenades and it will pass on. Or if you are looking to defeat it quickly lob a yellow grenade, jump kick him then lob a blue grenade As always, grab the card and exit stage right. -> Level 5: The Ravencroft Prison for the Insane Enemies: Mysterio, Shocker, Flying Trooper, Ground Trooper, Machine Gun, Beetle, Jack O' Lantern, Lasers Area 1: Throw a blue grenade at Mysterio and move downwards. Dodge the lasers blasts and annihilate the Ground Trooper. Dash past 2 Ground Troopers to kill the Machine Gun and go downward into the next area. Area 2: Step off right away or go down to a dead end. Crouch to avoid the Shocker's waves or just get him in the corner and punch away. Move back up & get away from the lasers. Travel right and descend on the step elevator to the last area of the game. Area 3: Now you have to put all your cards in the appropriate stations. With any luck Jack O' Lantern will take care of Flying Trooper and Beetle for you. Blue Station - Gets the card that resembles a B Red Station - Receives the card that's under Mrs. Richards Green Station - Gets the card under Mr. Richards Yellow Station - Receives the card that resembles a Y Now watch as the enemies fall from the sky as the Master Elevator is opened up. Who is our mysterious villain? It comes out to be . . . BOSS: Venom - Hardness: **** Strategy: Yeah, you just knew he was lurking around somewhere didn't you? When you fall, fall to the right so you don't hit the vortex. You're in for a long battle buddy boy and it isn't going to be pretty. Your grenades do not work they just make him more bloodthirsty. The only way to beat him is to jump kick him every time he's about to jump on you. It makes the symbiote crazy. Get away when he tries to smash you. 25 straight hits, it's not easy but if it were I wouldn't be typing this FAQ. Ending: Beat Venom and find out! I'm not a loud mouth. Thanks to: Sega Genesis for making the system for this game to go on. Special thanks goes out to Marvel, whose creation of Spider-Man was a historic landmark. Also Randalgrave1@aol.com for giving me motivation & some good info, now I am going to start up writing again yeah! Webmasters: Want to host this FAQ?
