THE PROBLEM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I've just been to hell and back with a copy of RE2 Platinum for PC. when I was playing the game, I would try to save. Then, when I wanted to reload, the program wouldn't read the save file! I panicked for a about two hours, then I solved the problem. THE SOLUTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Once you've installed RE2 on WinXP, leave the disk in the CD-ROM drive. 1. Go to START/PROGRAM FILES/CAPCOM/RESIDENT EVIL2/RESIDENT EVIL2.EXE 2. Right-click on the icon. Select PROPERTIES. 3. Click the COMPATIBILITY tab. 4. In the COMPATIBILITY MODE box, place a check mark in the box that reads "RUN THIS PROGRAM IN COMPATIBILITY MODE FOR:" 5. In the scroll menu beneath, WINDOWS 95 should already be the choice. I basically figured out that RE2 and RE3 are not compatible with WindowsXP. By running it under temporary previous settings, you should have no problem reading your save files. Good luck!
