Go left until you see a red door. Shoot 5 missiles and enter the room. Take the LONG BEAM. 4_Go back to the bridge and cross it (from the left to the right). Enter the door right in front of you then go right as long as you can (on your way, you will find an ENERGY TANK). [this is a good place to refresh] 5_Now, go up and enter the first door you see on your left. Go left and enter the red door (it takes 5 missiles). Here are the BOMBS. 6_Go back (right,down,left) where you found the first energy tank. Here, enter one door (to the left) and break the ground with your bombs to find a secret path. Go down, enter the door to your left, then go left. Open the red door and take the ICE BEAM. 7_Go back all the way left to the orange vertical-scrolling corridor next to the bridge (to its right). Now, instead of going right or down, go up. You will see a door on the upper right. Enter and go right. [this is a good place to refresh] You will have to use your bombs on a brick to reveal a secret path. At this point, you will have 4 different ways, take the upper one. Enter the right door. Keep going right until you see the MISSILE TANK, [this is a good place to refresh] take it and go to the dead-end. You can pass by destroying some green bricks (shoot the up-right brick, jump and roll into a ball. You will have to use your bombs to propel you in the air, this technique will allow you to pass through a small secret path.). Now go right until you see the ENERGY TANK. 8_Go back to the orange vertical-scrolling area (right to the bridge) and go down as far as you can. Enter the door to your right (the 2nd you will see) if all is going fine, you are where you found the first missile tank. This time, keep going right. Now go ahead and enter the door (to the right). Go down and skip the two doors you see. Use your bombs on the second brick to the right and break the floor to reveal a secret path. After passing through the floor, enter the first door you see on the left. Open the red door and take the HIGH JUMP in the next room. 2_Go back to the vertical-scrolling area and go back through the secret path you passed by. Now go up and skip the two doors again. You will now be able to jump higher, so keep going up until you reach the top, skip all the doors you see. Break the top floor and pass through it. Enter the left door. Take the 2 MISSILE TANKS. 3_Go back right and go back through the floor. Now enter the first door on the left. Go all the way left and take the 3 MISSILE TANKS. 4_Its now the time to go all the way back to reach the elevator that leads to Brinstar (right, down, skip one door, left). Use the elevator. Once in Brinstar, go all the way left to the orange vertical-scrolling area. Here, keep going up and skip the two doors you see (one leads to the bridge). Enter the upper right door. Go right until you see a door and enter. Break the upper floor and go through it. Enter the door to the left and go left until you see the red door. Behind, there is a room with the VARIA. 5_ * You can skip this step to do it later (just before beating mother brain). Note that you will find 7 energy tanks on your way, but you cannot have more than 6 energy blocks anyway. Go to the left of the bridge, there is a blue vertical-scrolling room. Here, go all the way down and enter the left door. Go left, pass under the wall and shoot the second right brick to reveal an ENERGY TANK (use your ice beam to freeze an ennemi). 6_Now, return to Norfair and enter the left door. Go left as long as you can (on your way you will find a MISSILE TANK, and you will encounter a wall that you can pass through). 7_When you are in a vertical-scrolling area, go down and enter the right door, go right and take the MISSILE TANK. 8_Go back to the room with the elevator to Brinstar. Now, enter the room to the right. Go right and enter the door you will see. Now, go a litle bit down and enter the left door. Just keep going left until you take 2 MISSILE TANKS (on your way, you will have to pass through a wall using both the bombs and the maru mari abilities). 9_Go back to the very right vertical-scrolling area. Go down and bomb the floor again. Enter the left door next to the secret path. Go to the room where you found the high jump and bomb the floor to reveal another secret path. Go all the way left. Enter the door. Here is the bridge. Enter the left door. Go ahead until the next door and enter it. In the green room, break the upper floor and enter the door you see. Open the red door and take the very powerful SPIN ATTACK. 10_Go back through the green room’s floor and break the lower floor. enter the left door. Go all the way left and enter the door. Use your bombs to break the floor (in the fake-lava). Go down and enter the right door. Go all the way right then enter the door. Now break the floor like you did few times ago. Go down and enter the right door. Go right and take the 2 MISSILE TANKS. 11_Come back in the place where you broke the floor, enter the right door. Go all the way right (take your time here, do not fall between two walls, it's fatal) and enter the door. Break the floor at the very left, and go down. Enter the door to the left. Go all the way left and enter the room behind the red door. You will get the terrific WAVE BEAM. 12_Go back to the chamber where you broke the left block of the floor. Now, enter the right door. Keep going right (pass through the green walls) until you get the MISSILE TANK. Take your time. The frustration of getting trapped between two walls is not good for your health. ;) 13_Go back all the way left until you reach the vertical-scrolling room with the red lava and keep going up. Go through the tiny passageway that leads to the other room with the same fake lava. Here, enter the first door to the right. Go all the way right and enter all the doors you see. When you get in the chamber that seems like a dead-end, crack the very left brick of the floor and go down. Enter the room to your left. Go left and take the ENERGY TANK. 14_Go back the passageway you come from and enter the left door. Go left and enter the door. Now go up, (through the passageway) and enter the right door. Now go right as far as you can, you will pass by the bridge, and by the place you found the high jump. At the vertical-scrolling room, to the very right, go up by breaking the top floor and continue your way up. Enter the second door you see after the passageway, and enter (left). Go left until the room with the elevator to Brinstar. Go to Brinstar. Now go all the way left, then go up until you see the two doors. Enter the left one. Pass by the bridge that leads to the blue vertical-scrolling area. Now go all the way down until you see a door on your left. Enter it. Go left again and enter the door. Break the brick and go down. Get the MISSILE TANK and go back to that same vertical-scrolling elevator room. 3_Go left and enter the upper blue door. Head left and find the MISSILE TANK (pass through the wall). 4_At the very left vertical-scrolling area, go all the way down (you will pass through yellow fake lava) and enter the right door. Now go right and enter both the blue and the red doors. Take the MISSILE TANK and keep going right. 5_Enter the right door. Go up a litle bit and enter the door you see on your left. Now go left as long as you can, enter all the doors you see. Go up and enter the upper right door. Now keep going right until the very right vertical-srcolling area. Go down a litle bit and enter the first door you see on your left. Take the MISSILE TANK. 6_Go back to the very left vertical-scrolling area, then go all the way down. Enter the left door. Go left and enter the left door. Enter the red door and fight KRAID! *_You can do this step after beating Kraid, but if you need a refresh while you are fighting him, go into the lava (the right one) and shoot the fourth brick below the door. Get out the lava and roll into a ball. Press down-foward on the control pad and get the hidden ENERGY TANK. 7_Now, it is the time to travel back to Brinstar. [go back all the way right, then go up to enter the highest door (second door on the left).] Go all the way left until the vertical-scrolling area. Here, you have no choice, go down. Enter the bottom blue door (left). Go left and enter the door. Go up and enter the right door. Go right and enter the door. At this point, keep going up and use the elevator. Pass through the chamber and enter the door. On the second chamber, break the upper floor at the very right. Go up and enter the door. Go left until you take the MISSILE TANK. 2_Return to the second chamber. Enter the door on your left. [this is a very good place to refresh] What you have to do here is a litle bit tricky, you have to go left and you have to find a place where you can destroy a green brick. Go through the tiny passageway. You will now be able to reach the red door on your left. Now you should see an ENERGY TANK. Be careful, because both the 8th and the 9th bricks are not solid. Take the energy tank. 3_*** The next missile tank is tough to reach, if you miss it, you fall to another floor and you loose a lot of your time. There is two choices here: 3a: you take the missile tank 3b: you do not take the missile tank {3a}_Fall through the fake bricks. Enter the right door. Go all the way right and enter the door. Here, you will have to jump to the other side! It’s very tough but you can do it. [If you fall, read {3c}] Enter the right door. Go right and take the MISSILE TANK. Go back where you were before and keep going left. When you are in the very left vertical-scrolling area, go down and enter the right door. Go all the way right until the other vertical-scrolling area (at the very right). You will find another MISSILE TANK on the way... *** If you have read {3c} or killed Kraid, go to 4_ Go up a litle bit and enter the other door you see on your left (the first you see). Go all the way left and kill the boss. Shoot ten missiles on the purple door and enter it. Go left and take the ENERGY TANK. go to 4_ {3b}_Enter the left door. Go left and enter the door. A good challenge awaits you... o---------------------------------------------------------------------o | III) The METROID Story MTDSR | o---------------------------------------------------------------------o In the year 2000 of the history of the cosmos, representatives from the many different planets in the galaxy established a congress called the Galactic Federation, and an age of prosperity began. A successful exchange of cultures and civilization resulted, and thousands of inter stellar spaceships ferried back and forth between planets. But space-pirates also appeared to attack the spaceships.The Federation Bureau created the Galactic Federation Police , but the pirates' attacks were powerful and it was not easy to catch them in the vastness of space. The Federation Bureau and the Federation Police called together warriors known for their greatcourage and sent them to do battle with the pirates. These great warriors were called " space hunters. " They received large rewards when they captured pirates, and made their living as space bounty hunters. It is nowyear 20X5 of the history of the cosmos, and something terrible has happened. Space pirates have attacked a deep-space research spaceship and seized a capsule containing an unknown life-form that had just been discovered on Planet SR388. This life-form is in a state of suspended animation, but can be reactivated and will multiply when exposed to beta rays for 24 hours. It is suspected that the entire civilization of Planet SR388 was destroyed by some unknown person or thing, and there is a strong possibility that the life-form just discovered was the cause of the planet's destruction. Tocarelessly let it multiply would be extremely dangerous . The Federation researchers had named it "METROID" and were bringing it back to Earth when it was stolen by the space pirates ! If METROID is multiplied by the space pirates and then used as a weapon, the entire galactic civilization will be destroyed. After a desperate search, the Federation Police have at last found the pirates' headquarters, the fortress planet Zebes, and launched a general attack. But the pirates' resistance is strong, and the Police have been unable to take the planet. Meanwhile, in a room hidden deep within the center of the fortress, the preparations for multiplying the METROID are progressing steadily. As a last resort, the Federation Police have decided on this strategy: to send a space hunter to penetrate the center of the fortress and destroy the Mother Brain. The space hunter chosen for this mission is Samus Aran. Samus is the greatest of all the space hunters and has successfully completed numerous missions that everyone thought were absolutely impossible. Samus is a cyborg, who's entire body has been surgically strengthened with robotics, giving Samus superpowers. Even the space pirates fear this space suit, which can absorb any enemy's power. But Samus's true form is shrouded in mystery. The planet Zebes is a natural fortress. Its sides are covered with a special kind of stone, and its interior is a complicated maze. On top of that, the pirates have planted devices and booby traps in the maze, and the pirates' eery followers lie in wait around every corner. Samus has now succeeded in penetrazing Zebes.
