===================================DISCLAIMER================================== I have decided not to allow websites other than Gamefaqs (www.gamefaqs.com), IGN (faqs.ign.com) & Gamespot (www.gamespot.com) to host my FAQs from now on. Please don't ask, because I will not grant permission. It's just that too many sites don't keep their version of my FAQ up to date which makes for a lot of hassle in my mailbox. So if anyone sees this FAQ on any site other than those mentioned above, please let me know and I will take care of the situation, thanks. Just to make things crystal clear for some people, this FAQ is not to appear anywhere at the following URLs: http://www.cheatcc.com http://www.cheatindex.com This document Copyright 2004,2017 Daniel Engel =============================================================================== Wayne's World FAQ November 30, 2017 Daniel (DEngel) Engel dan.engel.2017 [AT] gmail [DOT] com ############################################################################### (A) TABLE OF CONTENTS ############################################################################### Table of Contents (A) This Table of Contents (B) Controls (C) Items (D) Walkthrough (E) Experimental ############################################################################### (B) CONTROLS ############################################################################### The controls for this game are very simple, and are as follows: Left/Right - Moves your character left or right. Up+A - high jump. Down - Used to crouch/duck. A - Jump. B - Attack. Start - Pauses the game. ############################################################################### (C) ITEMS ############################################################################### Donuts - These restore a little bit of health when collected. Powerups - These items look like the letter 'P' and give you a stronger version of your attack temporarily as well as restoring a bit of your health. ############################################################################### (D) WALKTHROUGH ############################################################################### Bricklayer J. Gastronomy ======== Level 01 ======== [Part 01 - Garth] For the first part of this level you get to control Garth, who is much easier to use than Wayne. Garth uses a gun for his attacks and you should mash the B button as you walk because you never run out of ammo. It's also worth noting that every stage has a time limit, so try not to linger anywhere too long. Jump on the first drum and bounce up and down as you shoot the pair of cymbals, then drop to the ground and slowly move right a few steps at a time while firing like crazy. This tactic will easily take out all enemy drums and saxophones, but it also serves you well in pretty much every stage of the game. You may want to crouch to get rid of the saxophones faster but otherwise just shoot your way right to end the short part of this stage. [Part 02 - Wayne] Now you get to control Wayne, who uses kicks for his attacks. This now means that you have to be a lot closer to enemies in order to deal damage. There are some enemies in the game that only have high attacks, and for these enemies you should use Wayne's crouching kick. This way you never get hit and you deal maximum damage. Your enemies in this stage are planes that drop music notes and saxophones. I recommend ignoring the planes [since most of their shots hit the platforms above you] and just avoiding their shots as you kick the saxophones. Kick your way right and introduce a guitar to your feet [it should take three hits]. Collect the powerup that the guitar left behind and try out your temporary spin-kick. For more on the power of the spin-kick check out this link ;) http://isometric.fojar.com/_/spin-kick%21/ Kick your way right until you reach a door, then watch as the first boss bounces in. The bouncing stack of records is really easy to beat, just hit it eight times and use your high jump when it gets too close. Enter the door after the battle and collect as many donuts as you can to restore your health. Finally go right through the next door to end the level. ======== Level 02 ======== [Part 01 - Garth] Make a note of the door above you at the start, that's where you need to get to in this very short section. Simply head right and shoot the people in your way [from a safe distance], then jump left across the platforms and enter the door. [Part 02 - Wayne] Here you need to carefully jump across the platforms and beat up the people in your way. You have to make sure you don't jump too far or you'll touch the enemies when you land and take damage. If you land farther away from the enemy you can quickly rush in and hit them with some rapid low kicks as their punches miss you. Get rid of the bouncer at the door in the same way [he just takes more hits], then go through the door. [Part 03 - Wayne] Talk to Stacy at the start of this very short section, then go left and beat up the bouncer before going through the next door. [Part 04 - Wayne] This sections so easy, you just need to walk left to the singer to end the stage [after the usual bonus donuts]. ======== Level 03 ======== [Part 01 - Garth] In this stage you have to deal with ninjas and cats attacking you. As you'd probably expect the ninjas are more annoying. The ninjas kick their way on screen and then do jump kicks at you, but if you're close enough to them they'll just end up jumping over you without doing any damage. Otherwise shoot the ninjas like crazy and do the same with the cats. When you kill a cat you will get a powerup which makes Garth's shots spread into two streams for a brief period. Carefully shoot your way right past all the ninjas and cats until you reach a stronger pink ninja. This guy flies at you as a ninja star [?], then briefly takes on a human form before flying at you from the other side. You can duck under him when he's a ninja star and simply fire at him when he's human to beat him. Jump up the boxes to your right after the battle and enter the white door to end the stage. ======== Level 04 ======== [Part 01 - Wayne] Right when you start this stage you get attacked by the most annoying enemy in the game, the flying image from a TV. It only takes two hits to kill the TV image but they can't be low kicks. Just let the image get close to you before kicking once, if the first kick lands you can hammer on the attack button to land the second kick as well. There are also some crawling enemies in this stage as well but don't waste your time attacking them. Stick to the high road once the image is dead, then kill another one near the second gap. Kill another image when you jump across this gap and another one just before the next gap. Jump this gap and kill another image while avoiding any crawling enemies, then head right to the next gap and kill the image there. Jump the next pair of gaps and get rid of the guard with a flurry of low kicks, then enter the door. [Part 02 - Wayne] In this area your biggest hazards are spiders and falling light bulbs. The spiders crawl down to the ground before crawling towards you and are easily killed with a pair of low kicks. The light bulbs on the other hand are easily avoided as they fall off the screen. Kill the spider and avoid the bulb as you jump the first gap, then kill a trio of spiders before jumping to the red ledge. Carefully jump across the next three gaps and get rid of the guard, then enter the door. [Part 03 - Wayne] Take out the spider and carefully jump the pair of gaps while watching for falling bulbs. Watch the spider fall to it's death before carefully jumping the next series of gaps, many of them are large and have bulbs falling nearby. Finally attack the guard up ahead and enter the door to end the stage. ======== Level 05 ======== [Part 01 - Garth] For this stage you just want to shoot like crazy as you head right, and also keep an eye on your back because a couple of enemies come from the left. Otherwise head all the way right to end this section and start the next one. [Part 02 - Wayne] Although you can kick the cats in this area, it's more trouble than it's worth. There's also litter flying around through this section, but you can dodge it pretty easily. Jump the cats as you head right, then use a high jump when you can't go any farther. Jump left across the gaps up here to reach the door, then enter it. [Part 03 - Wayne] Jump right across the ledges and carefully pass the cat, then high jump up and go left through the door. [Part 04 - Wayne] Jump the cats as you cross a pair of gaps, then high jump up to the ledge above you. Jump left across the gaps as you avoid more cats, then enter the door. [Part 05 - Wayne] Head right in this final area to reach a boss, then simply low kick him as fast as you can to finish the stage and the game. ############################################################################### (E) EXPERIMENTAL ############################################################################### For a little while now I've had a paypal link in all my FAQs at the very bottom here. Mainly as a small experiment since a few other FAQ authors have also had the same idea. I had a few people email me before I put this link in because they wanted to send money, so it's here for those people. For the record I've received about $87 (which works out to a bit more in Canadian lol) last I checked, so I've been getting cases of pop and making some excellent progress on a few FAQs. If you don't want to send money or can't then send me an email, it's nice to hear what people thought about my work and there's always room for improvement. My email address and paypal address for those that want to contribute are both dan.engel.2017 (AT) gmail (DOT) com Many thanks, and I hope you continue to use my work! ~Dan
