The maximum AP you can carry is 9999, the lowest you can get is around 6100. The amount of AP varies depending on what parts you use. Weapon does nothing to your AP. Shields will reduce the amount of damage you take. Once your AP reaches 800, your AC will start to sparkle and your AP meter will be in RED reminding you that "You're Almost Dead, Mhahaha" Also, a constant "WeEp" will sound once you reach critical AP. *2* Compass: New in Nexus, the bar at the top side will indicate which direction you're facing. North, West, East, South etc. *3* Outer Tempurature: Not a default display. It is located at the left side of the radar. Shows you the tempurature of your surroundings. *4* Radar: Located at the top right hand corner. You are always in the center. The 2 diagonal lines represents the view you're looking at. Red dot(s) indicates an enemy. With Missile Sensor, you can see a lot of Red dots coming at you when swarms of missile are fired. Yellow dot(s) indicates an enemy, however yellow means that they are below you. Blue dot(S) indicates an enemy as well, you might guess it this means the enemy is above you. Green dot(S) indicates a Friendly. *5* Heat Display: The heat display bar is located below the AP Display. It tells you your AC's tempurature. Once the bar reaches 500+, a warning will sound off telling you're in critial Heat. *6* Energy Meter: The energy meter is located at the left hand side of the screen. This meter represents the energy you have to perform the followings: - Dashing - Flying - Firing Energy Weapons - Using Extension Boosters - Using Extension Energy Shields - Using Energy Shields - Blading - Emergency Cooling The red bit at the bottom of the meter is known as the Red Zone. Once the Energy meter reaches the Red Zone, a warning sound will remind you that "You are almost out of energy". The Red Zone energy will decrease a lot slower because it contains twice as much in the green zone. The amount of Red Zone you have will change with different Generators. Expect a Red zone to have 5 times of a green zone. (More on Energy Management in Part 6) *7* Speedometer: Not a default display. Located at the bottom left corner telling your current speed. *8* Remnants of Enemy meter: Not a Default Display, In short ROE. Tells you how much enemies are with in the mission. Missile counts too for some reason... It is Located at the below of your radar as ROE. *9* Core Status: Located below the ROE meter, Core status box will change depending on what core you use. OB Core (Overboost), A Grey Box will have Overboost written on it. When OB is activated, the box will become red. EO COre (Exeed Orbit), The Grey box will have Exceed Orbit and ammo # written on it. The box will also lighten up in red when EO is activated. Hangar Core, The Grey Box will state Hanger Unit. Whenever you switches to your hangar weapon, the box will glow red. *10* Intercept Status: Located below #9 is the missile intercept box. It will appear if your core has missile intercept abilities. The box will glow red whenever it fires its Anti Missile Lasers. *11* Left Weapon Status: Below the intercept status is Your left hand weapon display. It will display the type of weapon your Carrying EG: Sniper Rifle, and the amount of ammo you have. *12* Primary Weapon Status: The Weapon you're currently using is enlarged under the left weapon display. The number below it tells you how much ammo you have left. *13* Weapon Data Display: The weapons you're not currently using is listed under the *12*. It will display the number of ammo it has beside it. If any weapon indicator is in red, this means you're out of ammo on that particular weapon. Throw it away to increase speed and energy recharge. *14* Extension Display: It will appear if you have an extension equiped. It will display the number of ammo it contains. Once the extension is activated, the box will glow red. *15* Information Display: Below the weapons indicator, which is on the lower right corner of your screen, is the Information Display. You might ask, "hey there's nothing". Correct but however, boxes will appear when "something" happens. That "something" are the followings - HIT: A Green Box saying "HIT" will pop in and out. This means you just "Hit" someone. - DAMAGE: A Red Box saying "DAMAGE will appear once you recieve damage. - ARMOR LOW: A Red Box which will constantly Fade in and out once you reach critial AP. - DESTROY: Another Red Box which tells you that the target is destroyed. - Guard: A red box that appears whenever an enemies manages to guard you attacks. Always keep your eyes here when you're sniping. It REALLY HELPS. *16* Enemy AC Data: Located on the bottom right corner, the enemy AC data is only avalible in arena matchs or player vs player. It will give information on the followings. - Enemy Weapon Status: It tells you what weapon does the opponent AC carries as well as the amount ammo. - Enemy Energy Meter: Tells you how much energy your enemy has. THIS IS NOT AP. Located on the left of the Enemy Weapon status window. - Enemy Heat Meter: Tells you the opponent current heat. Located below the enemy energy meter. *17* AC: This is where your AC appears on the screen. *18* Lock Box: The lock box is the huge rectangular box that follows your view. Any enemy inside this box will be lock on automatically. Once locked on, a box will circle around it. More info on this "box" in below. *19* Lockon Box: This box will circle your target. If it is red, this means a clear path between you and the target. If it's green, this means something is blocking the way preventing you to score a hit. Yellow means your FCS is still predicting its movement, often happens when using missiles. The red bar at the Right side indicates your current weapon status. If the bar is filled in red, it means your weapon is ready to fire. If the bar is still filling up, it means your weapon is reloading. The number below tells the distance between you and your target. Samething with the red bar at the left side, only this time it gives you information about the Left Hand Weapon. *20* AC Condition Display: Located next to the energy bar, this display works similar with #15. Red Boxes will pop up telling varies of information about you're AC. These are the followings: - Charging: Happens when you're out of energy and the Generator will recharge its energy. During this state, you will be unable to do anything that requires energy. - Dashing - Flying - Firing Energy Weapons - Using Extension Boosters - Using Extension Energy Shields - Using Energy Shields - Blading - Emergency Cooling - FCS Error: When the enemy uses ECM jamming, the FCS error box will pop up telling you that your AC is having trouble targeting. - Danger Heat: Telling you that you're seconds away from overheating. - Out Put Down: This is what happens what you reach beyond the Danger Heat. You will suffer AP lost due to overheating. - Radar Error: Works together with FCS Error. Enemies ECM are scrambling your Radar. Your radar will display a grey screen. - Shortage EN: If your Energy Drain is higher then the maxium output that your generation provides, your AC will have energy shortage. Your AC during this condition will have a very low energy recovery rate. - Over Weight: When you go over the weight that your legs can support. Your AC will slow down. - A Over Weight: This means arms over weight. Happens when your core cannot support the weight of the arms. You will lose Accuracy. *21* Enemy AC > Ap Display Under your Heat Display, it shows enemy AP. (Arena or P v P only) ============================== Part 4.1 Extra Status ============================== You default combat will not include outer heat, speedometer, altimeter, Enemy AC data and the Remnants of Enemy meter. You can add these extra display on your Combat screen by going to garage > cockpit > Change Panel and Select what extra info you want. ============================================================================== Part 5: Basic Knowledge of an AC ============================================================================= An AC is constructed by 14 different parts. An AC's ability will act accordingly to what sort of parts you use. For example, you're using a tank. The AC will came out as a tank with slow mobility. =========================== Part 5.1: Parts Explanation =========================== External Parts: Head: The head controls information, Map and other special abilities such as bio sensors and Internal Radar. The head is a vital component to any AC. Different head has different abilities, press triangle in the head section for more detail. Core: The core connects 90% of your AC. Head, arms, legs, back weapons, generators, radiator, FCS and Inside parts. ACN features 3 different types of core, they are the followings: - OB which stands for Overboost - EO which stands for Exceed Orbit - Standard Which contains R/L Hanger units for additional Weapons OB core allows you to perform a Super Boost. EO core enables you to launch an Orbit thats flows near you and will target and fires itself. Arms: Arms do 3 things for your AC, it allows you to equip a weapon in both right and left arm. It also allows you to equip an extension and inside parts. More info on these 2 parts in this section. There are 2 types of arm, a normal arm that looks like "yours" and a weapon arm where the arm itself is already a weapon itself. A weapon arm cannot hold any more weapons besides from its own Legs: The leg decides the maneuverability of your AC. ACN have 6 types of Legs, Humanoid legs, reverse legs, Quad Legs, Tank Tracks, Floater Tank and Floater. Internal Parts: Boosters: Hold x and the booster will activate, the higher the boost power the better speed you got. FCS: FCS stands for Fire Control System. It grants you a lock box to lock on enemies Generator: All AC needs electricity, and the generator provides it. It will power up your AC as well as giving the extra electricity left for boosting and using energy type equipments. A generator has a maximum charge. The higher the charge, the more "Juice" you have, with more energy you can use to boost longer. Radiator: It controls the Temperature of your AC. The better the radiator, the better it cools down your AC which is a good thing. Optional Parts: Little parts use to upgrades different aspect of your AC. ========================= Weapons: ========================= Inside: Internal weapons, special parts that usually gives support type equipment for your AC. Extension: Another type of support weapons, it can increase your mobility, Attack Power or defense. EG: ECM Maker or Side Shields. Back Unit: Both left and right of your back can equip a weapon or support type parts such as radars. Arm Unit R: Your right arm weapon. Arm Unit L: Your left arm weapon. ============================================================================== Part 6: Energy and Heat management ============================================================================== Everything except for Optional Parts needs energy from your generator. The energy for boosting and firing weapons is from what's left from your generator after powering all parts (more on extra energy in this section). Once you used up all your extra energy, your generator will be in charging stage. While in charging mode, you will not be able to fire energy type weapons such as Laser Rifle and Laser Blades etc. You will also not be able to perform dashing and overboost while your charging. Your Extra Energy meter is Indicated at the left side of your screen. Once you fire an energy weapon or dash, you will lose some extra energy. To recover the extra energy simply don't dash or fire your energy type weapons, your extra energy will recharge after a period of time. ACN features a new formula to replace surplus energy which was used to determind the rate of your energy recovery rate. The formula is stated below: =================================================== Part 6.1: Example of How much Extra Energy You Got. =================================================== Forumula The remaining EN output (Surplus EN in AC3) + 10% or your Max Charge (The Energy Bar) Let say my output is 5000/10000 and My Max Charge is 52000. That means my Surplus EN is 12000.(5000 + 5200) Whatever that means, Max Charge is the key to get good Surplus EN. 5200 is a very good Energy Recovery Rate.. This summaries into one point, the more Extra Energy you have, the better your AC will perform. If you're using Energy Type Weapons, pay a close attention to your extra energy meter because you will notice it will use up very quickly. Tips: - There's no "God" AC, every part has a fair stat. - Light parts temps to have a High energy drain. - Medium parts have an overall so so stats. - Heavy parts are slow but it has low energy drain and high defense. - Quad Legs has High energy drain. - Heads with build in Radar has high energy drain. - Missiles parts have high energy drain. Nexus provide an AC performance analyzer. It is located in the garage. ============================== Part 6.2: Heeeeaaaatttt (Heat) ============================== Building Heat: Heat plays a even bigger roll in ACN. Compairing with Silent Line, your AC can overheat 10 times easily. You can even overheat by dashing alone. Emergency cooling will now use your energy. If you go too hot, you'll lose AP, and damage creates EXTRA heats. When you reach critical heat, (the moment where any more heat will do damage), a constant "beep" will sound off telling you to be careful. Once you past the critical heat value, your AC will be in output down mode and you AP will decrease. It will stop once it reaches to its default temperature. When you take heat damage "ClIcKs.." will sound off. Cooling rate will be faster as your radiator switches to emergency cooling. There are several ways to gain heat. They are the followings: - Using Exceed Orbits - Constantly Over Boosting - Area Condition, the Mission you selected can bring you to some extraordinary places. Expect 150 degrees. - Constantly Boosting - Receiving Damage Losing Heat: If you can gain heat, this means you can lose heat as well. You can "chill" out by the followings: - Not Receiving Damage. Your Radiator will cool you down. - Use an Energy Cooler Extension. Tips: - While you're overheating, emergency cooling will be faster when you are standing still. - Different Core have different critical heat limits. - Cooling will be more efficient if you're standing still. - Emergency Cooling Will Drain Your Energy Meter. - Equip a better Radiator ================================== Part 6.3: The Calorific Formula. (or How to prevent the Heat Gauge from filling up during Boosting) ================================== Thanks to Aileron for typing this out~~ The Calorific Formula Add both Booster and Generator's Calorific Value together and multiply it by 2. The total number you have will be the amount of Cooling(Frame+Normal Cooling) you must get for your AC. Formula: Calorific Value(Booster+Generator) ÷ Cooling(Frame+Normal Cooling) = 0.5000 or less This means that the Calorific Value (B+G) must be 50% or less than the Cooling (F+NC). This Formula also works on Overboosting. Just Replace the Booster's Calorific Value with the OB's Discharge Heat in the Formula. Getting exactly 0.5000 doesn't mean you're safe because you will still Heat up until 70oC. There are 4 types of LVLs. R.LVL->0.5025->0.5100=180-240oC LVL1->0.4800->0.5010=60-70oC LVL2->0.4360->0.4700=30-50oC LVL3->less than 0.4320=20-26oC R.LVL means Risky LVL where your Heat Gauge will go above 180oC but before you even reach 180oC, your Energy Bar will be nearly depleted (depends on your Generator's Max Charge). This LVL is good for Lightweights since Lightweights have less Frame Cooling or for people who uses Boost Hop. Before you say the MARISHI(CLPU) will help out your Cooling, think again because the MARISHI adds 5% from the Frame's Cooling, not from the Radiator's Normal Cooling. It only helps when you're close to getting 0.5000. ============================================================================== Part 7: Armored Points, Defense and Mobility ============================================================================== Introduction Generally, an AC falls into 2 categories, an AC that concentrates on Defense or and AC that majors in speed. There is no AC that can be High in both ways. An AC's AP (health) is calculated by adding all the parts Armor Points. Generally, light parts has low Armor points and where heavy parts has high Armor points. ======================== Part 7.1: AP Calculation ======================== Your total AP will depend on 4 parts. They are the head, Core, Arms and Legs. Light parts has low Armor Points and vice versa. The trade off is Light part does have more Mobility and the heavier parts are slow. To see the Armor Point of a certain parts, just take a look at its stats. Example of AP Calculation Say that you are currently using the default AC in Armored Core Nexus: Head: CR-H69S has "809" Armor Points Core: CR-C69U has "2187" Armor Points Arms: CR-A69S has "1794" Armor Points Legs: CR-LH69s has "3514" Armor Points Total Armor Points (AP) = Head + Core + Arms + Legs = 809 + 2187 + 1794 + 3514 = 8304 Therefore you'll have 8304 as your Armor Points. ============================================================================== Part 8: Beginners Guide of Constructing Your AC ============================================================================== Introduction An AC consists of 14 different parts. 8 out of 14 parts are required to construct a functional AC. They are, the head, core, arm, leg, booster, FCS, generator and radiator. Million combination of AC can be formed in the game. So yeah, you might ask "There has to be some good parts". The answer to that is yes or no. For example you got a really good Radiator that can cool you down in no time, however its draw back is being really heavy. Therefore if you're constructing a Heavy AC, then yes, your Radiator is good. And if you're constructing a fast AC, then no, your Radiator is too heavy and you need every ounce of weight for weapons. So generally, test around with the parts, you might need a tune down in radiator's weight for extra weights in weapons. The first thing when Constructing your AC is the having an impression of it. Although money plays a big factor but I'm assuming that you have beat the game once and have significant money. So yea "impression", what about it??? Well just have a mind of what you're gonna make. A simple way of starting is to decide whether it's suitable for your mission. Do you need a fast AC that can just about to dodge anything or a walking tank that could bring in lots of fire power. Have a thought about the mission you're gonna play. This will greatly help you when constructing your AC. =================================== Part 8.1 Deciding What Parts To Use =================================== After you have decided what sort of AC you want, the rest will be selecting the parts for it. CORE Cores has many abilities, some have anti missiles system, some allows you to overboost while the other have Exeed Orbits for additional firepower or unit hangers for additional weapons. There might be a high defence version of an OB core but it draw back might be a slower overboost or better AMS but lower defence etc etc. It really depends on what sort of enemies you're gonna face. And again, know the situation before making an AC. Legs There are many types of legs in any Armored Core series. They are light, medium, heavy, reverse (chicken legs), Quad Legs (4 legged), Tank tracks and Floater. They have different pros and cons and it is hard to tell you which exactly legs you want. The only tip I can give you is, fast AC goes to light legs, Reverse or Floater. Medium AC goes to Quad, Reverse or Medium legs. Heavy AC goes to Quad, heavy or Tanks. Try to test around with different legs and take a look of their stats and compare them. Different Legs Pros and Cons Pros: Humanoid Legs: All round abilities, good maneuverability and defense. Easy to control Reverse Legs : Good Jumping ability, low energy drain. Quad Legs : Good in maneuverability and turning. Enable back cannon without kneeing on ground. Tank Tracks : Lots of weights to play with, High Armor and defense. Enable back cannon without kneeing on ground. Floater : Highly maneuverable on ground. Can move on water. Cons: Humanoid Legs: No outstanding abilities. Reverse Legs : Low AP and defense Quad Legs : High energy drain Tank Tracks : Low maneuverability. Floater : Bad defense, low weight to play with, bad air maneuverability and high energy drain. Heads: Heads give many abilities such as missile sensor, build in Radar, memory map etc. To see their abilities, highlight the head and press triangle. This will bring out a detail table on the right side of your screen. So what head should I use? It depends, play close attention to their stats. Some heads concentrates on defense, some heads concentrates on abilities and there are heads that gives low energy drain. If you're building a heavy AC, you'll probably want to use a defensive head, however, if your heavy AC already has a good defense from the other parts and you might want to use a head that gives special abilities. It's hard to give you a correct answer. Arms: Arms primary purpose is weapon handling, there many other factors for the performance of an arm but what you really need to concentrate is the Recoil Control, Energy Supply and Energy drain. Recoil Control: Every time you fires a weapon, your arm will be pushed backward a bit, it's called the recoil. Exactly like when you are firing a gun your arms get push back by the return force of the gun, during this time, you'll lose an amount of accuracy, if you fire your weapon again during the recoil time, the accuracy will decrease. So watch out when you're using a machine gun because you will be constantly firing your weapon. The higher the recoil control, the better accuracy you will have. Energy supply, now this is what really matters for bladers. For example, the arm CR-A92XS supplies 90 energy, this means if you equip a blade with this arm, it only dies 90 percent of its original damage. The same goes to the high energy supply arms, A08-Drill2 supplies 110 energy, this means your blade will do 10% additional damage from its original damage. Energy Drain, same as any other parts, the higher it goes, the less extra energy you have. If you're a blader, use an arm with good energy supply, if you're a machine gunner, get an arm with good recoil control, light AC = low energy drain or light weight, heavy AC = DEFENCE. Generator: Generator, power up your AC, different generator gives different power. There's no ultimate generator in Nexus. Radiator: Radiator have grown ever so important in Nexus, the fact that you can overheat so easily comparing to Silent Line. Radiator's primary purpose in ACN is to reduce the heat build up by your boosters, heat damage second. If you got a high power booster, it will more or less heat you up very quickly. Eqiup a high power radiator. FCS: Your main targeting system, FCS provides you with a lock box. To choose a FCS, it depends on its Sight distance, largest lock and Lock Type. Sight Distance, even when an enemy is inside of the lock box, it can be far enough that your FCS can't get a lock on. For example, you're using a sniper rifle with range 1000+ while using a FCS with sight distance, 287. This means your sniper rifle can cover this distance around 287 or a bit more. Check the stats for maxium distance and normal distance by pressing triangle. Largest Lock, if you're a missile "Dude". You might want to fire a lot of missiles to multiple enemies. The more lock ons it provide, the better. Lock Type, refer as the shape of your lock box. Different FCS gives different lock box, to find out, press triangle in the garage section. There are several version of a lock box that a FCS offers, they are the followings: - Narrow and Deep: The lock box will be small, but it will cover a long range. - Wide and Sallow: A Large lock box, easy to lock on, in close range. However it covers a little range. - Lengthways : A lock box that concentrates in locking enemies above and below as the shape it's tall and skinny. - Sideways : Exactly the opposite of lengthways, it's "Fat" and "short" ideal for machine guns or Rifle. Inside, Back Unit, Weapons and Extension: The above, also refer as the "Weapons Department" is where you equip your weapon. Extension and Inside often supplies support weapons such as missile decoys and Emergency Boosters and while Back Unit and Weapons are you're primary weapon. It is impossible to tell you what weapons you'll need, the only tips I can tell you is, TESTING TESTING AND MORE TESTING. ======================================== Part 8.2: General Procedures (Flowchart) ======================================== Core and Leg \/ FCS, Generator, Radiator, booster, Arms and Head \/ Weapons and Back Units \/ Inside and Extension \/ Testing \/ Finish ============================================================================== Part 9: Movements and Evade ============================================================================== Introduction to Movements In Armor Core Series, your movement will change according to what legs you use, this can led to a big change in movement. In this section, I will explain, the basics of movement. Movement does not mean dashing. Dashing is only part of it, movement as a general thing is the way of moving which makes evade action easier thus at the same time making your enemies harder to lock on you. Also all the missions in Silent Line gives you the disadvantage of being surrounded, you must learn and master the way of "Movement" in order to survive and to develop your tactics. ================================== Part 9.1: Movement 1: Dash Jumping ================================== Dash jumping can be preformed by Humanoid, Reverse and Quad Legs. It can be easily perform and therefore new players are encourage to master this technique first. To perform Dash Jumping, start off by Dashing (Press X) and while you're Dashing, press deeply on X button to Fly while Dashing. Now here's the trick, by the moment you leave the ground, release X to cancel your "Flight", once you touch down repeat the process again. If you follow it right this means you'll be performing little jumps and while keeping a steady speed. About your Speed, it will not be as fast as Dashing but its definite faster then walking. Then people would ask, what's the point of "Dash Jumping" if normal dashing is faster and easier to perform. Well, this movement allows you to move fast without draining a lot of Extra Energy like you would do in standard Dashing. PLUS your AC will constantly changing speed as you "Fly and Land" and therefore making your Enemies FCS (Lock On System) harder to predict your next position thus making any return fire harder to hit you. New players must master this low energy drain technique. Dash Jumping can be perform in any direction. ==================================================== Part 9.2: Movement 2: Dash Floating (Dash and Brake) ==================================================== "Floating" is obviously preformed by a Floating Legs. A floater's characteristic is the legs, it didn't have any "legs" therefore making a floater unable to perform standard jumps. However because it doesn't process a leg, the player can stop worrying the landing stability when landing from a high ground. Another interesting ability is that unlike a humanoid legs where when it stop dashing it needs the time to brake before you can dash again, the floater can cancel the braking time. This means when you're braking from a dash when using a floater, the lag time for braking can be canceled to another dash. Using this unique ability, if you constantly "Dash and Brake" and repeat the process again and again, you will be moving at high speed without draining energy. This is floater's unique ability but be careful on the X button, if you press it too fast then you'll be flying instead of dashing. And flying with a floater will dramatically decrease your speed which is not good. If you master this technique, you'll probably be dashing (on ground) around 470km/h without any energy lost. ========================== Part 9.3: Movement 3: Tank ========================== Tank movements are the worst out of the 3. Tank has no legs "duh" therefore no jump. A tank also has no booster which makes dashing impossible. Without the ability of jumping and dashing makes evading action extremely difficult. There are 2 ways to survive. One is to constantly perform overboost which mean equip an OB core, The second way is to forget evade and concentrate on defense and fire power, hoping you can destroy the enemy before it can strike back. ========================================= Part 9.4: Evade 1: Attack, Evade or Both? ========================================= In combat, when you evade, it will be better if you decide what to do at the beginning of your evade and the movement you'll make after the evade. Basically, there are 2 versions of evade, the "Attacking Evade" and the "Escaping Evade". "Attacking Evade" is to either go around your enemies, either right, left or above and bottom escaping your enemies sight while attacking from its sides but not at the front. However it is amazingly difficult to make yourself "disappear" when facing a human opponent. The other way of attack evade is to do a CIRCLE FLIGHT. To perform a circle flight, lock on your enemy first. With your enemy on the center, imagine a circle around him/her with the size that it will touch all 4 sides of your screen and have your AC follow that circle. This means your AC will be doing a vertical circling action in front of the enemy. If your enemy is closing in, then perform a "WIRLWIND version" of circle flying, simply go dash backwards when circle flying. This way you will keep your distance. Remember to Attack while you're "Circling". The good points of Circle Flying is that almost nothing can touch you as your AC is constantly changing position and direction. The enemies FCS lock on will get confuse and unable to predict your action making its lock on not accurate. Circle Flying is also energy efficient, the only energy you'll waste is flying up but all that will be recovered in your journey down. The bad points of Circle Flying is the speed, your AC must be at least medium or light in order to maximize its effects. If you're too slow then the enemy will probably close up on you and start blading you as you're too slow to keep the distance apart. "Escaping Evade", not as complex as the Attacking Evade. Just fly out of the range so your enemy cannot lock on you. However if your enemy is a sniper (which can probably score a hit with 1200+ range) just fly around as long range temps to have a tiny lock box. Snipers that can hit a far range flying opponent is extremely rare or you're stupid enough to chase the bullet. ======================================= Part 9.5: Evade 2: General Weapon Evade ======================================= General weapon means pretty much everything but missiles. These weapons will have 2 lock ons, the first lock on will make the weapon fire to your initial position, the second lock on will make the weapon fire to your predicted location. This means if you're moving in one direction, you will not be able to evade any weapons firing at you. In order to "dodge bullets", you have to perform illusive movement like Circle Flying or Dash Jumping as your AC constantly changes direction making the FCS hard to predict your future location. If you're in a tank, weapon evading is extremely hard. ================================ Part 9.6: Evade 3: Missile Evade ================================ Unlike general weapons that will fire at one location and firing again to your future location, missiles will "chase" you like what you do when you kill a bee in front of a bee nest.... Circle Flying and Jump Dashing will not escape you from missile. Then what should you do??? Simply Change direction of your movement when the missile is close at you. For example, using a humanoid legs and you're walking to the right. You see a missile heading to your way, when the missile is closing it, quickly change direction to your left by jumping while your walking to the right. The other way is to fly back as the missile approch and quickly fly to either left or right and do a forward landing. If you're a floater, you can float to your left and while dashing to the right when the missile comes. If you're a tank, you can only fly up or down which will not help at all. Use a missile decoy to redirect the missiles or overboost and get out of harms way. ======================================= Part 9.7: Evade 4: Special Weapon Evade ======================================= Rockets and orbital pod is categorized as special weapons. Remember, Rocket is not missile, it is a different thing and rockets definitely won't chase you. Rockets doesn't have a lock on, this means it will fly straight when fired. It won't change course, just straight and that's it. To evade it, simply walk away from its linear Course. If facing a triple rocket weaponry, fly up, player that can hit someone in the y-Axis is rare or really lucky. (Except for AI) As for Orbital pod, the little pod will fly around your head and start firing there, so do not fly up when evading orbital pod, Jump dashing will do fine. ============================================================================== Part 10: Blade and Leg ============================================================================== Blading Ravens will be disappointed in Nexus because blade tracking is more or less "dissappeared". The only thing to talk about is different blading movement with different legs. There are 4 different type of blade movement, the are the followings: Upper Left to Lower Right: Happens when you use a humanoid leg. Your blade will travel from the Upper right to your Lower left. Damage properties are normal. Invest Humanoid: For inverse legs, the blade goes exactly the same with a humanoid leg but only its reversed. Starts from Lower right to your upper Right. Nothing special Horzontial Slash: Floater Legs special, your AC will swings its blade from right horzontially. It covers more area. Blade Spike: Tank excusive, your AC will poke the target. Damage are higher then normal slash but it covers limited area. ============================================================================== Part 11: Parts Tuning ============================================================================== Parts Tuning is a interesting feature avalible in Nexus. It allows you to increase certain performance of a part. The following will explain how part tunning works. ============================ Part 11.1: What Can You Tune ============================ Not all parts can be tuned, the parts you can tune are Head, Core, Arms, Legs, booster, Radiator and Generator. Once you're inside, you will see a bunch of column representing how much did you tune as well as a line graph at the right which shows you the performance "graphically". Now you will notice that the minium percentage of tunning is 10% hence you filled up 1/10 square in the column. This means that out of 100%, you will be increasing a performance 10% by 10%. not 1% by 1%. Now before you go w00t! my parts are gonna pwn . Here's the catch, you can only fill up 10 squares in the entire stats bars. This means if you tune up 50% in energy defense, you are now left with 50% for other stats. Another example: IF I 100% tune in Cooling, you will now not be able to tune anything else because you spend all your tuning points in cooling. Play around with tuning, once you made your decision press O to confirm. Back to the part selection screen, your part now will have "Tuned" labeled. Be very careful in tuning because you only get to tune it once and the process is irreversible. If you screw up you will have to sell the part and buy it again. A Tuned part will only sell for 80% of its original prize. It is also labeled as "Used". Tips: - If an ability starts of high EG: A really good EN Def arms. Abilities gain by tuning will not increase excessively. - If the default ability is low, that ability will increase excessively through tuning. - Cooling efficiency will increase a lot. - Weight will have moderate increase. - Full tune will not garentee the best performance. EG: Energy Def in some arms increase a lot in the early stage, +20 for each 10% from 0-40%, however it will decrease the improvement after 40%. +10 for each 10% after 40% and down to +5 from 80-100%. ============================================================================== Part 12: AC Performance ============================================================================== Nexus features a detail analysis of your AC's performance. You can access it through the AC Performance option located in your garage. Upon entering, it will show you a hexagon chart telling you the grade of 6 general performance. The mission starts of by dropping you in this canyon and you will reach wider grounds. Strategy: Given with your default AC and small space, it is adviced to play shoot and hide. After you finish the second MT, you will reach a wider ground. In here, you will fight off 3 MT at once. This post no threads at all, quickly finish them off and proceed to the next mission. You're mission objective is to defend this area and prevent any buildings from destruction. The only enemies you'll face is Helicopters with Missile Launcher. You're also given 2 friendly MT (exactly the same in mission 1) for support fire. Strategy: Not much of a strategy here, enemies are weak and you have 2 friendlys. Again given with the amount of money you got in this point of the game, your AC will lack the speed to close in on the enemies. Take your time, it doesn't matter in this stage. Look at where your friendly shoots and look around there. Quickly destroy the helicopters and move on. Note: Your operator will warn you when enemies has make some progress on the base. Note that the colour of the copper is black also..., it sorta blends in with the sky... Recommanded AC: Default AC ナービス警備部隊排除 Objective : Eliminate Navis Patrol Team Client : O.A.E Award (Free Mission) : 144400 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Very Limited (2 Bridges) > Space : Out Door > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : ECM Jamming Mission Length : Medium Mission Difficulties : Hard Amount of Enemies : Plenty Initial Situation: The mission object is a bit fizzy, your real objective is to destroy the sniper only MTs. This means the Round Head type. Like the objective says, their weapons is a sniper with a amazingly good accuracy and huge STUN. They would probably score a hit while your in the air, stunning you and makes you drop to the bottom of the cannon where its mission fail. To make matters worst, ECM and other small floating MT are deployed in the area making your life, "hard to aim". Strategy: In this point of the game, you will (more or less) lack the money to buy good equipments. You might wanna sell some of the parts you previously brought in order to buy yourself an anti ECM equipment. I'm not sure what can you buy at this moment but try to max your counter ECM ability. I also recommend a standard rifle, and sniper rifle. You can start of the mission by blowing up everything from your initial position and do a sniping battle between your target. OR if you're feeling vulnerable, you can quickly follow the bridge and hide inside the tunnel, play shoot and hide there. Either ways works. I strongly disagree on flying over the other bridge, the Sniper MT will easily stun you with their rifle and make you fall down during flight time. This mission is not easy, take your time with each target. Recommanded AC: Mid Weight Sniper OAE調査団襲撃 Objective : Destroy OAE Investigation Team Client : Navis Award (Free Mission) : 96000 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Outdoor > Space : Very Limited (2 Bridges) > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Short Amount of Enemies : Medium Initial Surroundings: This mission puts you on a narrow bridge with another 500 distance from you and your target, the OAE investigation team. They are located in a train that will show up on your screen at the other bridge. There will be other enemies waiting for you and fires quite an amount of vertical missiles. Note that you cannot lock on the train and it travels pretty fast. Strategy: There is a fast sniper strategy and a Chasing strategy. For sniper, do a mannual aim using the back linear cannon and shoot where you stand. 2-3 shots will finish it... For Chasing, use a fast and light AC equiped with a flame thrower and fly to where the train appears and start burning. The general idea is to forget the exitance of other enemies and focus on the train. Good Luck, and i advice to save first before you carry the mission. Recommanded AC: Tank with Linear Back Cannon / Light AC with Flame Thrower. 武装列車破壊 Objective : Destroy The Armored Train Client : O.A.E Award (Free Mission) : 188300 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Out Door > Space : Very Limited (2 Bridge) > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Medium Mission Difficulties : Hard Amount of Enemies : Many Initial Situation: You Will probably remember this area. It's ground is very limited and once you fall off the bridge, its mission failure. The enemies in this mission have both heavy armor and weapon. They are standard Tank with Rocket Launcher, Flat abd Round Headed MT with a Long Range Rifle that really "stuns and pushes" you (watch out when you're flying) and you're Target, 4 Armored Train (2 in 1 Group) which has a Grenade Launcher). They are located at the very end of the other bridge, inside the tunnels. The other pair is on the same track, through the tunnel at the edge of the area. ALL enemies are capable of pulling LONG shorts, make sure you have some sort of cover or a fast AC. Strategy: I prefferred using a medium AC with Hi Laser Rifle and a Sniper Rifle. If you're aiming for speed then go ahead, rush to your target and hide inside the tunnel and shoot the train like hell, MAKE SURE you have a lock on on the Turret. If you're not in a hurry, dispatch the other MT and focus on your targets later. Shooting the train itself won't destroy it. You must shoot the turret in order to meet the mission objective. For the other targets, you can hide inside the tunnel and snipe from there. Prefferred AC: Light to Medium AC. Sniper and long distance flying capability. ナービス残党追撃 Objective : Destroy Remenance of Navis Client : Mirage Award (Free Mission) : 128000 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Out Door > Space : Very Limited (1 pipe line) > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Short Mission Difficulties : Very Easy Amount of Enemies : Many Initial Situation: Well.. although the mission doesn't give you lots of space to walk with, actually you don't even need to walk more then 30 steps provided with the correct equipment. The enemies are small Floating MT with weak machine gun and 2 legged MT with Rifle and Missile Launcher. Both pose no thread with the given amount. For equipments, use a heavy AC to reduce repair cost and a sniper. For better preformance use a EO core with energy weaponary. Strategy: From initial, stay on in pipe and never stand on anything else. Take a look at your radar and observe the amount of enemies "Around" you. Have no fear, they are weak in both armor and weapons. Carefully destroy all enemies within 300 distance. Afterwards it's just a matter to shoot 3 really far away enemies (around 850 distance) which doesn't even shoots. Once everything is gone, the mission ends. Preferred AC: High Defence and Sniper Capability 反乱部隊せん滅 Objective : Annihilation Rebellion Unit Client : Mirage Award (Free Mission) : 167000 C Note : Penalty for each Escaped Transport Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Outdoor > Space : Limited (Edge of a Canyon) > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Short Mission Difficulties : Easy Amount of Enemies : Little Initial Situation: Not much to talk about... In this mission, your target is 5 approx transport aircrafts. They have weak armor and no weaponary. Shoot them down before they escape. Strategy: This one is a breeze. Long Range Weapons such as Sniper or Linear Back Cannon is all you need. Do not forget to equip a long range FCS. Stand still from your initial position and the aircraft should approch slowly, take them out one by one and its mission over. It means you're the duck, not the one to be trained. The person who needs training (and i doubt it) is Shinobi, THe Rank 1 Raven. His equipment is Grenade Launcher x 2 (Back), AST Rifle and Laser Blade. To make things worst, he has the ability to fire back weapons without kneeing. Strategy: This Mission is actually easier then it seems. However if you're playing ACN for the first time, you will not have the money to develop an AC to handle Shinobi. In this case I recommend a light AC with very fast speed. Use dash jumping and circle around Shinobi. As a result, you two will try to circle around each other trying to get a lock box. Just keep on circling until the operator stops the mission. If you want to beat Shinobi, just treat him like a human player with Op-Intensify equiped (No, not by beating up the real player -_-). What I did is using a High AP, Armor and Weaponned AC. Tank + Heavy Core + Heavy Arms + Side Shields + Linear Cannon (5000+ damage). Since Shinobi always flys around dropping Grenade at you, your TANK AC should be taking 600 damage per shots and aimming would be hard. However, he does land once in a while to regain energy and this is your perfect chance. Do not hesitate to get closer, you will have a much better chance of shooting an air target and your armor should be enough to survive before he blows up. 4-5 shot will take care him, Good Luck, but you don't need it ^^. Your targets are small floating MTs armed with a light machine gun, they possess paper armor. There will be a few MTs at the beginning whos ready to shoot you once the mission begins. More will appear on the EAST side of the facility. Strategy: Bring at least one sniper with 30+ ammo. All you need to is quickly blowing up the MTs from the beginning, then its just a matter of picking them one by one from the east wall where they will enter. You will start off with a bunch of MTs already around you and the rest will enter the facility from East. Strategy: Not much of a difference between the first test. Bring only sniper and a long range FCS. Start popping them one by one. They will be fired in 2 missile launcher type thingy which circles around the walls. You can get lock on on the launcher but you can't destroy it. Strategy: I recommand to skip this mission. You will lack the fundings to develop a fast AC given that this mission is given very early. You can fail the mission by getting hit too much. To tackle this mission, get the fastest AC and start dancing. Equip a radar will missile sensors, it really helps. This mission introduces Nexus's new feature, the Night Vision. If your head has night vision capability, it will switch on night vision automatically and things will get "green". Strategy: Night Vision could be hard to get used to because it doesn't give a lots of visability to enemies BUT you do get to see your surroundings. Focus on your Target box, Red means shoot, Greens means something is blocking your way. Enemies here won't do heavy damage, take your time and get use to Night Vision. After that you will notice all 3 MTs are surrounding you. They are equiped with a Grenade Launcher and Napham Howizer. Don't get scared by the Grenade Launcher, since the MT is still a prototype it process a HORRIBALE accuracy. Strategy: Light AC, Machine Gun and start shooting. You will want to do evasive movement during your attack to minimize the chance of getting damage. Although the MT has good armor, they lack of speed makes it an easy target. Not much to write about here. Copy and Paste ---->Light AC, Machine Gun and start shooting. You will want to do evasive movement during your attack to minimize the chance of getting damage. Although the MT has good armor, they lack of speed makes it an easy target. Not much to write about here. Strategy: ECM Could be a pain but given with a good Head and FCS, you can still lock on the MT. I recommand the VEN looking head and CR-F75D FCS (1200 Range). You can also try tunning the head to increase its Anti ECM abilities. Another way is to forget about ECM and blade, either ways work. You can lock on to the missile racks but your cannot destroy it. Strategy: Use anything that got speed and won't deplete energy fast. Drop all weapons if you have one. Since there are 2 missile launcher traveling at different directions, you will not be able to keep track of who's going to fire. I can't give you strategy on how to evade missile... it depends on how good you are with movement. Good luck and "may the force be with you". Initial Situation: Before the mission starts, you get to see how the new AC looks like. Its about 2/3 size of a Normal AC. It's armor is tough, expect around 6000AP. It knows how to dash and fire its dual pulse laser from its shoulder. This is unlike any enemies you faced so far. You will be placed right infront of it from the beginning. Strategy: These New AC are a pain to deal with... However for this mission, it is still underdevelopment therefore this is not in its full power. This guy will constantly dash and shoot. To kill it you can use a Light AC to confront it like the Arena AC. A Faster and simpler way is to use a Tank AC with the black Purplish Hi Laser Rifle (40 Shots) and Linear Cannon at the back. 1 Shot from each weapon will finish it. As soon as u start fire off your Hi Laser Rifle (Must Hit, Trust me) and then the AC would either dash to the right or back. If it goes to the back, fire your linear cannon right away and K.O. If it goes to the right, just take your time and aim. You best chance of hitting it is the moment it stop dashing. Well, he's correct in some ways. The AC is faster this time around and it will dash even more. In Weapon wise, its the same. Also, the initial position you 2 starts off is the same. Strategy: If you're using a Light AC, this battle will be a bit harder because it is faster. However if you're using the Tank + Linear Cannon method, the battle is more or less the same. I don't know if you guys read about the evadesive movement I wrote about in my Silent Line FAQ, but if you fly and land in a Vertial Circle way, pretty much everything will have a hard time hitting you. This is also called the "Circle Flying" written in Part 9.4 of the SL Faq, Check there. Recommanded AC: Light Machine Gunner or Tank with Linear Cannon. ======================== <アリア丘陵> ======================== 支援物資破壊 Objective : Destroy Supporting Goods Client : O.A.E Award : 55600 C Note : Extra Award for the numbers of addition Supplies you destroy Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Indoor > Space : Narrow > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Short Mission Difficulties : Easy Amount of Enemies : Around 8 Initial Situation: You'll be placed inside a room inside a storage facility. There are a few tall and long storage racks. Your mission objective is to destroy all boxes on it. You will also be given a time limit of 2:00. You're enemies are ceiling turrets and little MT that rolls around, both have a weak machine gun installed. Strategy: Although its 2 minutes, its more then enough to destroy everything. I recommand a sniper rifle and machine gun. Focus on your enemies first, chances are that the MT will help you blow up a few crates. The ceiling turrets will fall with one shot from your sniper. After dispatching the defence, the rest is simple. A quicker way of blowing up the supplies is to stand at the very end of the storage rack (where it is Vertical from your sight) and start your havoc. Recommanded AC: Light AC with Machine Gun + Sniper. ====================== <アバクス平原西部> ====================== 爆撃部隊迎撃 Objective : Intercept Bombardment Squad Client : Mirage Award : Unknown Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Outdoor > Space : More The Enough > Visibility : Grey Sky, Light Mist > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Medium Mission Difficulties : Normal Amount of Enemies : Normal Initial Situation: Again, the mission objective is a bit wrong. Your objective is to defend Mirage's Camp, exactly the same with ミラージュ駐屯地護衛. However this time the enemy has more offensive capabilities. Expect more Helicopter and a new Bombardment aircraft. The helicopter are the same as before, light armor with Missiles Launcher. Asfor the bombers, they have reasonable speed and armor with a linear cannon that fire downwards. Strategy: You get 3 waves of attacks, wave 1 hosts the most problems since 2 bombers and a bunch of coppers around it are already close to the base. Use no time to stop the bombers and concentrate the coppers later. The bomber will only fire once it's directly under a building. I highly suggest a sniper rifle, machine with a long range FCS. 2 shots from your sniper should take out a copper and focus the bomber with the machine gun (You could pump a few sniper rounds in the process). The mission is also kind enough to tell you where wave 2 and 3 will approching (It's not really a "wave", since it's only a lone bomber). For those who don't know Japanese, the other 2 bombers will approch from the North West and North East. Recommanded AC: Mid Weight Sniper, Machine Gun 駐屯地攻撃部隊排除 Objective : Mirage's Camp> Eliminate Assault Force Client : Mirage Award : 71000 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Outdoor > Space : More Then Enough > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Short Mission Difficulties : Hard (But not with the Linear Cannon ^^) Amount of Enemies : AC x 1 Initial Situation: Another Mission that takes place in Mirage's Camp only this time it got more buildings constructed. Your enemy is an AC, it's equipments are Quad Legs, Back Radar, CR-WB69CG (Chain Gun), R. Laser Rifle of some sort (Never get to see it shoots), SUIGETSU (Missile Intercept) and WL14LB-ELF2 (HALBERD). Nothing Else Strategy: Take this mission as a Duel, 1 vs 1 AC combat. The AC is not fast but the chain gun does deal good damage. It is also rarely and i DO mean rarely flys. I finish the AC with Tank and CR-WBW98LX (AKA: CWX-LIC-10 Linear Cannon 5820 DMG). All it takes is 3 - 4 shots from and its mission over. Yes, it is THIS easy. Recommaned AC: Tank + Linear Cannon (5000+ DMG) ミラージュ輸送機護衛 Objective : Guard Mirage's Transport Aircraft Client : Mirage Award : 124000 C Note : Penalty for the numbers of Supplies that gets destroyed Area Condition > Tempurature : -39C > Location : Indoor > Space : Very Limited (Inside the Aircraft) > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : ECM Jamming Mission Length : Medium Mission Difficulties : Hard Amount of Enemies : around 30 Floater MT Initial Situation: Mirage's Transport aircraft is carring 8 MTs and few crates of supplies for their attacks on Navis. You are hired to protect the supplies (from the inside) until the aircraft reach its destination. Tiny Floater MTs will come in through the gap every now and then to trouble you. Strategy God I hate this mission... Not only you get the annoying ECM Jamming that even an A grade ECM counter AC couldn't bypass, enemies can also easily blow up every damn supplies. The mission also offered a ground that opens up during your mission, stay at either ends of the aircraft to avoid dropping. Since dodging is impossible given with such space, I highly recommend an AC with the highest solid defence. Bring a laser rifle, sniper and DOUBLE RADAR for the ECM. Your enemies are Quad legged MT with Grenade Launcher and Napham Howitzer, exactly the same in 新型MT性能再テ スト (New model MT Efficiency Re-test). Crest will drop in 2 more MT in the middle of the mission. When you're done with the MTs, Crest last reinforcement, Red Comet will arrive. She is similar to Shinobi. Strategy: This mission is sorta cheap because you get Red Comet as enemy reinforcement. Chances are that your AC will be severely damage from the MT's grenade launcher. However, you would be glad that she will retreat after you manage to take away half of her AP. To reduce damage from initial, use Tank. Weapons would be Sniper Rifle, Hi Laser Rifle and yet again the Linear Cannon. The MT should be no problem, just don't get too close or get overheat by its napham. 2 shots from sniper and another 2 from your Laser Rifle should take out 1 MT, save your Linear Cannon for Red Comet. Red Comet could be a pain if you don't think before you fire. Her chain gun will hurt and the grenade launcher will even hurt more but then you got a TANK. Your armor should be enough to survive a short period. Forget about evading (Because you cannot with a tank) and Focus on aimming the linear cannon, if she is in a MUST HIT position (which means: she's right infront of you but not lock on) SHOOT. The Linear cannon fires a HUGE laser, it should score an attack even if she is a bit outside of the target box. 3 - 4 shots and she'll retreat. Recommended AC: Tank, Linear Cannon, Sniper Rifle and Hi Laser Rifle. OAE侵攻支援 Objective : Support OAE Invasion Client : O.A.E Award : 238600 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Outdoor > Space : Plenty > Visibility : Dark but Clear > Special Effects : ECM Jamming for Beginning Mission Length : Long Mission Difficulties : Hard Amount of Enemies : A Lot Initial Situation: This mission can be quite frustrating if you don't pack enough ammounition. You're in a full blown assault on Mirage's base, you're given 3 friendly with relatively low Armor but high damage "Vertical Missiles". With 3 of them shooting together, they can make a significant impact on the enemies. The mission starts of with 4 MTs equiped with ECM Jammer. Use manual aimming if you have to but chances are that your friendlies will blow them up for you. Afterwards, Mirage's back up will appear in many numbers. The back up troops contain only 1 kind of MT. They are the FLY around and then Land type of thing. They have good armor and a even better laser cannon, make that dual also. The laser cannon will overheat you every quickly but you'll glad that they don't have good aims. Strategy: The initial MT won't be a thread. You can either hide and let the friendlies blow them up for you or you can do it yourself, either ways works. For the back up troops, I recommand using the CR-WBW94M2 (Back: Double Dual Missiles), WR05L-SHADE (Laser Rifle), and WH02RS-WYRM (Left Arm Sniper Rifle) and a heavy AC with Humaniod Legs. You might also want a EO core if you're not sure on ammonition and maybe a Core that can store extra weapon in your Hangar. When the back up arrives, deplete your Dual Missiles. One shot kills anything here. Afterwards drop it to increase your speed. Protecting your friendlies helps too. You're about 1/2 of the way now and you will notice the enemies will fire their laser cannon more often. For the rest of the mission, use standard evasive movement (Dash Jump Dash) and continiue blowing up the enemies. Make sure you have constant movement throughout the entire mission and more or less you'll survive. Never use a tank, it lacks the speed you need in this mission to move across fields. Good Luck. Grab a Machine gun + blade and start blowing up everything. Shoot the conscorts first if you want to and blade your targets. Recommanded AC: Anything ======================= <ベイロードシティ> Bayload City ======================= 特殊工作部隊排除 Objective : Remove Special Assault Force Client : Navis Award : 186000 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Cityscape > Space : Normal to Narrow (Cannot Leave Area) > Visibility : Night Time (Dark), Raining > Special Effects : ECM Jamming Mission Length : Medium Mission Difficulties : Hard (First Approch) Amount of Enemies : 4 MTs Initial Situation: 4 MT might be misleading, they give more then a match in this mission. They have resonable high armor, speed and a rifle with good damage. They also have ECM equiped to make your life difficult. Expect a gang up on you. However the good side is that you only need to destroy 2 of them before they decide to retreat and only to be blown up during a cut scene (I won't tell who did it ^^ but it's sorta err "cool"...) Strategy I strongly recommand you to skip this mission first time around. Due to this mission is available early on in the game, you will lack the equipment to defeat them. If this is the second time around, I suggest a light AC with a good booster (try B01-BIRDIE1, B01-BIRDI2 or anything with higher boost power), a machine Gun and Solid shield. Please don't forget to equip something with high ECM counter. Use Jump Dash Jump to make yourself hard to aim and blow them up one by one. Given with your speed, your machine gun should be more then enough to deal with the MT while your Shield reduces the damage you take. A mission that's hard at the beginning but easy once you get the equipment. Your enemies are Wall mounted laser turrets and 4 legged unmanned (spidar) MTs with standard rifle. The mission is also filled with ECM jammers, they are the tupes that's diagonally sticking out. Strategy: Forget the word heavy and forget about blowing up anything that shoots. Get yourself a Fast AC with a standard rifle, you'll be doing some rushing. From the beginning, open the door and meet all sorts of defensive weaponarys that will eventually start shooting. There's a door at the right side of this room, rush in and open it. Now you will be in a hall way with wall turrets and spidar MTs. Forget them and follow your nose, you should reach to another room containing one Wall Turret and 4 power generator labelled as "Target". Blow up the turret first and then the generators second. Navigate yourself to the room after the hallway. Once you're back from where you entered the hall way, rush to your right side and open another door leading to yet another hall way. Navigate yourself and door number 3. This door will lead to another room with diagonal tube sticking out. In here, head to another door on the left wall that will eventually lead to another 4 generators. Blow them up and the mission will end. Thing gets dark during lights out so bring a head with Night Vision. Enemies will be all around the city firing missiles and rifles at you. Note that some MTs is placed on the roof. Once the Remnants of Enemies meter reaches 0, the mission will end. Strategy: A typical blow up everything mission. Bring a mid weight core with a sniper and HI Laser Rifle and start blowing up everything that moves. Hide around the building if you have to. Nothing special and nothing too hard, have fun. There's not much of an strategy for ac duel, you all have your own style. I did it with a tank, EO Core and linear cannon. Only fire the linear cannon when you know it will absolutely hit. 3 - 4 shots with your EO activated would be enough. Recommanded AC: Tank, Solid Shield Extension, Linear Cannon, EO Core. 脱出路救援 Objective : Rescue Escaped Survivor Client : Navis Award : 260000 C Note : Extra Awards for Numbers of Survivors Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Outdoor > Space : More Then Enough > Visibility : Night Time, Still Clear > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Short Mission Difficulties : Normal Amount of Enemies : MT x 5 Initial Situation: Crest has Taken over Bayload City, suvivors are attemping to escape through highway south. You are to defend the suvivors from Crest Assault Squad. A defend mission, there are around 15 trucks on the highway and 3 enemy MTs are already in position to attack. Another 2 is sniping on top of two hills located on further south. Strategy: Grap a fast AC, a sniper rifle and machine gun. Quickly dash forward and find the MTs around the survivors. Quickly blow them up before they can do anymore damage. Now head south and take out another 2 MTs. The key to success is speed and accuracy. Remove all opposing force inside. There are 3 types of enemies, Humanoid MT with bazooka, ceiling turrets and a small but fast MT both armed with a weak machine gun. While the humanoid MT possess good armor, its lack of speed makes it an easy target. The mission will end once all enemies are destroyed. strategy: Another blow up everything mission, you should have signifact equipment in this point of the game. Grap a Light AC with machine gun and solid shield for both L arm and extension. Head forward when the mission starts and open a door. Now blow up few small MTs and head to another door followed by a hallway. The hallway contains a MT, it should be no problem and proceed to the next room. This room have a few Humanoid MT and 2 Ceiling turrets, you are provide with enough to do some evade. Dispatch the MTs first and the turrets second. Not much of a challange... Defend your ground and do not let any MTs break through the Line of Defense. You're dealing with small and sneaky four legged MTs. They have a weak armor buy can travel through any surface from ceilings to under water. They are also armed by a standard rifle. Strategy: It's a dark enviorment inside the sewers so bring a head with night vision. Because there is only one route to where you are, this mission offers almost to none cover, Ideal for sniping. Bring a tank, 2 sniper rifles, a EO Core and any long range back weaponary you can get your hands on. Don't forget the FCS: CR-F75D (AKA: ND-1). Walk forward at the beginning until you get a lock on and start punshing the square button. Watch closely to the radar, there are chances that a MT can sneak pass you without knowing it. If one manages to get close enough, activate your EO. The mission will end once all MTs are destroyed. You have no space to evade any of the return fire. The enemy also have set up land mines all over the place. Don't get fooled by the water track at the center, mines are also hidden underneith them. The enemies are weak, lack range and speed. Strategy: One easy mission, be sure to bring a sniper rifle and FCS: CR-F75D (Aka: ND-1). From start, never land on the center. Advance forward by hopping left and right, landing between mines. Continue do so until your FCS manages to get a lock on. Now stand where you are and fire away your sniper rifle for the rest of the mission. Navis hired you to intercept their flight route and shoot down as many aircraft as you can. You are placed at the roof top of Bayload City, 30 aircrafts will fly pass you. They have good armor and are equiped with a long range dual missiles which does moderate damage. The mission will end when all aircraft are shot down or escapes. Strategy: These aircraft packs a tough armor and an ennoying missile launcher. They are quite fast so I suggest you shoot them down before the reach the roof top. Equip 2 WH02RS-WYRM (Sniper Rifle), 4 shots or 2 of each will garentee a kill. If things get out of hand, try the back linear cannon for a quick kill. You can use Decoys to evade the missiles or hide behind the building foundation located on all four corners. Shinobi has left Raven's Ark and continues to attack Crest Facility. Eliminate Shinobi and his AC Dual Face. You will start off inside Bayload City where the building at the center, Crest office was leveled. Shinobi with his AC will turn up at a short moment. The mission will end once you disable his AC. Strategy: Finally! I bet you're looking forward for a 1 v 1 dual with Shinobi. In case you didn't know, he is some what related to Red Comet, the Female Raven that also works exclusively for Crest. They also share a similar AC with the same strategy *flying around and rain Grenade Launcher On You*. The only difference is their Back and Hand Weapons. Shinobi's equipments are 2 back Grenade Launchers (CR-WB87LG), R.AST Rifle (CR-WR76RA) and a Laser Blade (CR-WL88LB3). He possess a fine aim. And with the combination of the grenade launcher, he can easily stund you while you're overheating. It's hard to explain a vs AC strategy, I suggest you use the evadesive movement, circling vertically and do jump dash jump. I did it with my Tank, see below. Strategy: Please press forward from the very beginning. If you go left, you will fall down to a huge and deep crater where's mission failure. Head straight to open ground and begin your fighter there. Focus on the trucks first and DON'T let any MTs on it get on the ground. The rest should be easy. Recommanded AC: Anything will good damage weaponary. 要人襲撃 Objective : Attack VIP Client : Mirage Award : 20000 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Outdoor > Space : More Then Enough > Visibility : Dark > Special Effects : ECM Jamming Mission Length : Short Mission Difficulties : Easy Amount of Enemies : Helicopter x 1 Initial Situation: You're taken into a field with a helicopter containing a VIP. The helicopter will notice you at the beginning scene and tries to escape with a ECM turned on. You are to here to shoot it down. Strategy: Since there's only 1 helicopter, you can forget about getting any damage. The ECM can be easily countered with head: H10-CICADA2 or CR-H95EE. You can also try tunning their ECM counter for better effects. Bring a sniper, FCS: CR-F75D (AKA: ND-1) and shoot the helicopter at the beginning. 2 Shots and that's it... Recommanded AC: Head with 400+ ECM Counter, FCS: CR-F75D (AKA: ND-1) + Sniper. クレスト本社部隊襲撃 Objective : Attack Crest's Rebellion Squad Client : Crest Award : 82000 C Area Condition > Tempurature : Normal > Location : Outdoor > Space : More Then Enough > Visibility : Bright and Clear > Special Effects : None Mission Length : Long Mission Difficulties : Hard Amount of Enemies : AC x 3 Initial Situation: You are here to destroy Crest's rebellion squad which consists of 2 ACs. They are a light and Heavy Weight core. The heavy core's primary weapon is a pulse laser rifle similar to what Silent Lines, AC equivalent MT uses. For those who did not play SL, think about a medium sized ball of energy firing 3 in a roll. The light weight is a long range sniper with a chain gun who's suppose to provide support fire for the mid weight. After you defeat both AC, another one will drop. The third AC is a Floater Tank with Laser and missiles Weaponary. Once all three ACs are defeated, the mission will end. Strategy: This mission is not as hard as you think. In fact if you follow my strategy, you will have a 90% chance of winning. Right... You will fight the AC one at a time. The sniper AC will not come down to where you are for some reason... Get yourself a Tank, EO Core, Heavy Arms, Head and BRING THE LINEAR CANNON. I cannot stress the importance of Linear Cannon in this mission. With your EO activated, the First and Second AC will fall in 2 shots thus meaning the battle will end quickly. For the third AC, pump your Linear Cannon like there's no tomorrow. 4 shots + E0 should be enough. You can also use your left arm weapon when using the EO / Linear Cannon combination to save some ammo. X_x Initial Situation: This mission is a pain if you're playing it the first time around. You will lack the money to develop a core for endurence battle. I suggest you play this mission VERY CAREFULLY, like how you play Counter Strike. There are quite a number of enemies and not to mention an army of MTs for reinforcement. There are 3 types of MTs, a small floater with pulse laser, a Mad Cat (Mechwarrior) looking core with Missile Launcher and laser shooting arms and a red + shorter version of it with a Missile Launcher and Standard Rifle, both possess good armor. Strategy: Bring anything with high defence, slow legs (Tank if possible), EO core is highly recommended. You won't be given the space to do evadesive movement. When the mission begins, enter the door way infront of you and blow up a lone (Mad Cat) MT. Proceed to the next door, through a slope and another door. Behind it, all enemies will be on your left side. You can either reveal your right arm and shoot or charge right in and turn on your EO to start a massacre "IF" only you got a high damage weaponary. Take your time in this room and play shoot and hide if you have to. Make sure you don't lose too much AP here. Once everything is deal with, procceed to the door at the end of the room, down the slope and another door. Door number 3 features 2 floaters and 2 Red MTs (Red Mad Cat), yet again play with caution. Reveal only your right arm and finish them off one by one. Advance to yet another room and open the door at the right side and drop down. This time its a bit different, you won't be given the space around the door to play shoot and hide. The enemies are 3 Floater and 2 Mad Cat. You can rush in and hide behind a canister at the lower right corner and blow up a MT at the left hand corner. Still covering yourself, eliminate the rest of them. Err i hope you're still following the line "BE VERY CAREFUL AND NOT TO GIVE AWAY AP EASILY".... Cause you still have to deal with enemies reinforcement and I hope you have more then 3000 AP. Look through the left side of the doorway and you will see a room with a half openned gate, go there and hide behind the box. If you are deep enough, the gate will block all attacks from the floaters. Do everything else here. GOOD LUCK, conserve your AP and BRING ANYTHING with high defence. If you're playing this mission for the second time, use Tank, EO core, Hi Laser Rifle and Sniper. Just charge in with your EO activated and start the party, thing gets easier on the second time around. Your Enemies are Small MTs that travels fairly quick, they also have a weak machine gun and will attemp to blow up a few Fuel Storage. The mission will end once you Defeat all MTs. Strategy: Get a fast AC with CR-WR88RS3 (R Sniper Rifle) and FCS: CR-F75D, 1 shot kills. Dash forward from the beginning and blow up 3 MTs. Both door will lead to your targets. Note 1: Tempurature will increase to 100+ in underground. Note 2: that the AC will enter the facility at the end if you manage to head inside without killing it. Strategy: Your only thread is the AC guarding the entrance, it's a tank with pulse laser and an energy shield. He is slow.. very slow, grap a quad leg with a linear cannon and start blasting. 4 shots should finish the job. Head inside the door locate at the center and down the elevator, follow the hallway to another room. Things gets hotter in underground and you get to choose from going left or right. It doesn't matter which path you choose because it will eventually lead you to your targets. Each path will bring you to 3 out of 6 targets you need to destroy. There are those self destruct bugs in underground, take your time here... it should be easy. Destroy all target to end the mission. Unit such as ceiling turrets with laser weaponary and 2 tiny MT with weak machine gun. You will start of infront of a doorway leading to what i just mentioned above. Once everything is dealt with, the mission will come into a insane cheapness and have 2 ACs for back up. They are a heavy core who will fire its Missiles + extension like mad and the other is a light weight Laser + machine gunner. Both AC will wait on the roof of the facility. Strategy: Pain... lots of pain. I recommend to skip this mission and have a go once you complete the game once. The ceiling turrets will give you a heck of a battle and not to mention another 2 AC which makes this mission V.Hard. With this mission avalible earlier on in the game, you will lack the equipment for this mission. The good news is that you only need to destroy 1 AC, the other will retreat once his partner is disabled. If you're feeling up to it, Bring a Sniper Rifle, burst Rifle, Parts with high energy defence and solid side shields. Enter the door infront of you and prepair a rain of lasers. Destroy the turrets on the right side, it provides the lowest ceiling that will give cover you from turrets that are placed high above. Waste no time on the turrets and quickly move up and blow up 2 MTs. Once all defensive units reaches 0, a cut scene will trigger featuring 2 Ravens droping in the area. They will stay still until you reach the roof. Head back to where you start, through to door and up the slope. Follow it and you should approch to another door. Open it and it will trigger the ACs to move and attack you. There a bug you can use to make your life easier. Since the AC will not head inside of the facility, make yourself back into where the turrets are installed and fly the the heightest spot avalible. Right now the light weight AC should start shooting its laser rifle but only to be blocked by the roof. Go get a soda or something while it depletes its laser rifle. Head all the way back to the slope and show yourself. You should be in a small square shaped box with no ceiling. Stay at the left side of this area and the light weight AC should come down to where your are. The heavy core will close in as well to support the light weight but will not come down to where you are. Now stay where you are play a game of who has more armor, EO core + burst rifle + sniper rifle and start unloading your weaponary. However, what they lack is armor and the Linear Cannon works wonder with it. Bring a tank with high energy defence, Eo Core, Linear Cannon, Sniper Rifle and Hi Laser Rifle. 1 Shot from the Linear Cannon and another 1 with the Hi Laser Rifle will garrentee a kill. Make sure you conserve your ammo (especially the Linear Cannon because you only get 10 shots) and shoot only you're absolutely sure it scores. This means the recover time in between dash. For the 3 v 1 battle, I recommand to hide somewhere with lots of walls or low ground fortifications. Since the KIS AC doesn't know how to fly, chances are that they will stuck in between these places which makes them an easy target. Take you time and aim that Linear Cannon. Once you have done a signifcant progress, your escape transport will arrive in around 2:00. During that time, a few Fly and Land MTs will arrive. Strategy: Destroy the turret located at the center, preferrably when you're still dropping into the area. Once you landed, follow the left wall and reveal pairs of missile turrets. Hide there and blow up another grenade turret at the right side. By the time you're done you should notice the third turret, (located behind the missile turrets that you're hiding) had a good attempt of shooting you but only demolished much of the turrets in between you and it. You could either dismantle it or hide behind another turret where it will tk their own structures. You should reach the minium requirments by now and your operator tells you the transport will arrive shortly. From now on and every now and then, there would be few fly and Land MT trying to get a piece out of you. Same tactics can be used, either blow it up from the sky or hide behind a building and let them do your biddings. In other words keep yourself alive and the mission will eventually end. Quickly blow up the Generator at your left and find a ventilation net on the opposite wall from where you came in. Anyways bring the fastest AC you can make with solid shields for both Extension and Left Arm, bring the default rifle as well. All doors are locked so enter through the ventilation hole which YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS. Enemy MTs will not come out yet so feel free to waste your time here. Follow the hall way leading to a big room, blow up another ventilation gate leading to another big room. The second big room should have half of it being soil. There is a path at the right side of this room, go there and stop where it ends. Blow up a ruined MT infront of you and Dash in, now a cut scene will start telling you the cause of the annihilation, the mission then tells you to escape the facility. Back track to the surface and the mission will end. Note that during your journey back, the MTs will appear in every big room. They have weak armor, a so-so pulse rifle and will ocassionally do short dash movement. Once the MTs are down to 1, the enemy will have another AC for backup. The AC is a Quad Leg with Finger, Middle Missiles + Extension and a Chain Gun. It will try to circle around you and unload its Finger while at it. Strategy: The Floating MT shouldn't be a thread, the only thing irrating is their ocassional dash movement. Bring a sniper rifle, 1 shot kills them. Some of them are directly above from initial, try to move out of the way a bring yourself to a good sniping position. You can either bring a Tank or Fast AC for the Quad legged AC. I choose the tank simply because of its defence and power of the Linear Cannon. Fight the AC on the ground where it's lowered (the center), it will try to dash behind you but only to be stuck by the wall without knowing it. Unload your Linear Cannon while its dashing against the wall, it should take around 4 shot to blow it up. Finsih the last MT to complete the mission. Strategy: Sniper Rifle works very well here. From initial, you will be facing around 4 floating MTs. Sniper them off one by one. If you are having a hard time scoring a hit, move closer. Once the floaters are deal with, please head to your left from your beginning position. You should realize by now that you're looking at a base from the top of a mountain. And again.... use your sniper rifle and fire on top of the hill. Never try to jump off because there's a sneaky crater that right between the base and the mountain. Falling down there will be leaving the area. The mission will end once all enemies are destroyed. Once the base is cleared, you will find another KIS AC dashing on top of the hill. Blow it up and the mission will end. Strategy: Concentrate on the AC in first hand, I highly recommanded you use the linear cannon and a Hi Laser Rifle. The KIS AC will fall with 1 shot from both weapons. Take your time, its fast but every now and then it will stop dashing giving you a chance to score a hit. The helicopters should be no problem with a machine gun or Rifle. Move and fly up the hill and apply the same strategy on the second KIS AC. The MT itself are heavyly armed by 4 Machine Guns and 2 Laser Cannons. However it has one fatal weakness..., it can't move -_-". Once you send the MT to its destruction, the mission will end.. and so as Navis... Strategy: Bring the best ECM counter parts avaliable, good energy defence, a sniper and the Linear Cannon. Destroy 2 wall turrets you see from the beginning. The wall infront of you will slowly open. Fly through it once it has reveal a big enough space for an AC to slip through. Another 4 Turrets will be waiting, spend no time and disable it ASAP. Behind the second gate features the location of the MT and 2 wall turrets beside it. Fire your Linear Cannon once you get a clear shot, 4 - 5 shots and that's it... Not so hard really.... This time however, the mission occurs in night time where things are dark. The enemies also gets a reinforcement but its only 4 helicopters which will take forever to reach your position since the operation area is so big. Destroy Everything to end the mission. Strategy: You know the drill by now, night time means night vision. Head forward and stop at the top of the sand hill. Look down and see a squad of tanks moving to your position. Same tactics applys in 遊軍部隊襲撃. Fly around, jump dash jump and shoot. Once all tanks are destroyed, search around for the reinforcement. Enjoy your mission... Mirage wants you to investigate the reason behind the ECM. This mission is strange. On my first try, the AC did not appear but it did on my second go. Anyways, prepair an AC battle if you're unsure. Your targets are four pillars sticking out of the sand who are the cause of the ECM effect. Destroy it ASAP if the AC appears. The mission will end once all enemies and targets are destroyed. Strategy: The key to success is the quick destruction of your targets. Ignore any resistance in your path, you'll have your time once the ECM cancels. About the AC, it's a light weigh with a rifle. Treat it like a C Rank Raven. Nothing too special about that guy... Recommanded AC: Mid Weight Sniper + Machine Gunner. Kisaragi knows that when human race followed their old steps, it will lead them back to the beginning. The great destruction. Kisaragi hired you to destroy all equipment inside the facility. Your targets are 6 generators that have ECM equiped. Destroy all 6 and an Unknow Weapon, similar to KIS New AC will appear as your final opponent. Defeat it and continue to the next scene where the game will end. Strategy: Note that this a 90% winning strategy if you used my AC configuration. Anyways stay still until the elevator stops at the beginning. Open the door infront of you, down the slope and another door. Open it to reveal your first target, shoot the INNER CORE (not the pipe around it) for a quick kill. Head forward to a door revealing a hallway to yet another door. Open it and destroy your second target. Now back track to the hallway to the room you're in and a door will open at the left side. This door will lead you to a VERY big room with laser turrets scatter around the roof. Now that you're in the exterior of the hallway, ignore all attacks, land on top of it and fly up a bit more and land on a pair of pipe. You will see 2 more targets, still ignoring the turrets destroy the targets and quickly head back to the hallway from where you came in. The locked door in the second room will unlock. Open it, follow the path leading to your fifth target. Destroy it and back track, a door will open at your left side leading to the other walls of the hallway. Destroy the target above the fifth target and drop to the lowest ground. Prepair for the final battle. A Cut scence will appear featuring a very fast looking AC. It has a similar look to KIS new AC but don't be fooled, this thing works like Z.O.E mechs. For those who didn't play Z.O.E (Zone of the Enders), this guy will fly throughout the entire battle raining (and i do mean raining) pulse laser at you. It also has a missile launcher whos capable of launching 8 volleys of missile in a very short time. Its freakin fast and has around 8000 AP. However its MAJOR weakness lies in one of its attack. ??? will float still every now and then and unleash a combo of pulse laser for 10 secs. (Just wait around, it will eventuall float still). This is your IDEAL chance for attack, grab the linear cannon, activate your EO and punch the square button. It will fall around 4 shots. Operator: "Here It Comes.." Endless amount of Kami MTs are comming from the sky. You are here to have an attemp on stoping the MTs. Fromsoftware didn't give you a combat screen in this scene, you only get the visual of your AC, the roof, sky and millions of Kami MTs heading your way. Shoot down any of them if you can, but they will eventually contact you from all directions. You can survive a bit longer if you stay next to the building block on the corners and it won't change anything. The scene will fade away when your reach 20% of your AP or leaving the area. The credit will roll afterwards.... Aurthors Note: Tragic.. but is this the End of Armored Core? The repeat of the Great Destruction and hences the repeat of history? Will everything be back to the where it all started?? Armored Core 1?? or Does Armored Core Nexus and other AC 3 series occur before the Great Destruction??? Question Remains....
