Disgaea 2 is quite a bit different than real life in that Felonies actually help you here. I made this guide to contribute my knowledge about Felonies so everyone else could benefit. Please don't disrespect me by copying information from this guide only for your benefit. After that, you can speak to the Post Officer in Holt Village (Red Skull) or in the Land of Carnage (Prinny) to see a full list of all the crimes each character has committed. To 'commit a crime', you have to meet some sort of requirement, like a certain amount of ATK or HIT. When you accept a charge, you'll get an item called a Subpoena. Inside, comes a pre-subdued specialist called a "Bailiff", meaning that you can move it between your items as soon as you get it. The number next to it (its level) indicates on which floor the Court Gate will appear. The Court Gate is a blue portal leading to the Dark Court, which is full of Prinnies. When you enter, you'll get a specific amount of Felonies and a prize. Once that's done, you'll be immediately ejected to the floor you were just on. I've broken them up into two different categories, "Displayed Felonies" and "Hidden Felonies". Displayed Felonies cap at 99 and have several different effects that will be discussed in the "Effects of Felonies" section. Hidden Felonies cap at 300 and boost how much EXP you get from killing things by 1% per Hidden Felony. Before you ask, getting X Felonies means you're actually getting X Displayed and Hidden Felonies. There are two main special types of Reincarnation that involve Felonies: The "Reincarnate to Atone for Sins" proposal for the twelve unique characters, and the "Reincarnate into a Prinny" proposal for generic Humanoid and Monster characters. They both remove all Displayed Felonies from the character in question. The Prinny Reincarnation will turn the character into a Prinny. To turn him/her back into another character, you must pass the "End Prinny Reincarnation" proposal. His/her Displayed Felonies will still be gone, but he/she can now become something else. Normal Reincarnation does not affect either type of Felonies, but it does reset the crime list. Removing the displayed felonies is commonly done to help keep track of how many Felonies you have. Instead, you can use the Felony calculator at: http://www.geocities.com/darthnemesisx/disgaea/d2_felony_calc.html If that calculator or the address no longer work, contact Prometheusx303 and he'll make one to replace it. His email is: Prometheusx302 [a+] gmail [d0+] com Alternatively, you can calculate it yourself using the Formula in Prometheusx303's Character Guide (available at GameFAQs, Neoseeker, and some other sites), or you can calculate it using this simple procedure. 1. Kill enemy X with Felon. 2. Record EXP gained (EXP after kill - EXP before kill = A). 3. Kill enemy X with non-felon. This is done by re-doing the stage or killing an identical enemy under the exact same circumstances. 4. Record EXP gained (EXP after kill - EXP before kill = B). Round_Up[A / B * 100] - 100 = Number of Felonies on Felon %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-% 3.00 Felony List %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-% -------------- Regular Crimes -------------- These crimes can each be obtained once for each character per reincarnation, meaning that if a character reincarnates, he/she can get the Subpoena for the same crime again. You can keep reincarnating as many times as you want to continuously get more and more Subpoenas, but it's just a waste of time once you have all the Felonies you need. Each character has their own personal list of crimes, so meeting the requirements on one character will not make any Subpoenas for another character available. .========================.======================.=======.===============.====. | CHARGE NAME | REQUIREMENTS | FLOOR | PRIZE |FEL | |========================|======================|=======|===============|====| | High LV | Lvl 20+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | | High HP | HP 500+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | | High SP | SP 250+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | | High ATK | ATK 200+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | | High DEF | DEF 200+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | | High INT | INT 200+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | | High RES | RES 200+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | | High HIT | HIT 200+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | | High SPD | SPD 200+ | 6-14 | 50,000 HL | 2 | |------------------------|----------------------|-------|---------------|----| | Too High LV | Lvl 200+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | | Too High HP | HP 5000+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | | Too High SP | SP 2500+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | | Too High ATK | ATK 2000+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | | Too High DEF | DEF 2000+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | | Too High INT | INT 2000+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | | Too High RES | RES 2000+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | | Too High HIT | HIT 2000+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | | Too High SPD | SPD 2000+ | 16-24 | 2 million HL | 6 | |------------------------|----------------------|-------|---------------|----| | Way Too High LV | Lvl 2000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | | Way Too High HP | HP 5000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | | Way Too High SP | SP 25000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | | Way Too High ATK | ATK 20000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | | Way Too High DEF | DEF 20000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | | Way Too High INT | INT 20000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | | Way Too High RES | RES 20000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | | Way Too High HIT | HIT 20000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | | Way Too High SPD | SPD 20000+ | 36-44 | 500 mill HL | 10 | |------------------------|----------------------|-------|---------------|----| | Geo Vandalism | 500+ Geo Combo | 16-24 | Astral Orb | 2 | | Stack Attacking | 100+ Stack Attacks | 16-24 | Tower Shield | 6 | | Team Attacking | 100+ Team Attacks | 16-24 | Gank | 6 | | Comboing** | Be in 100+ Combos | 16-24 | Demon Smasher | 4 | | Excessive Force | 1000+ Dmg in one hit | 16-24 | Spirit Belt | 4 | | Being a Loser | Get Killed 20+ times | 16-24 | Spirit Muscle | 2 | | Friendly Fire | Get 20+ ally kills | 16-24 | Heretic | 2 | | Pitching Prinnies | Throw 20+ Prinnies | 16-24 | Prinny Staff | 3 | | Too Many Murders | Kill 100+ enemies | 16-24 | Immortal Pill | 2 | | Reincarnating | 10+ Reincarnations | 56-64 | Red Moon Bow | 16 | | Liking Guys | 10+ Male Pupils | 16-24 | 500 Mana | 2 | | Liking Girls | 10+ Female Pupils | 16-24 | 500 Mana | 2 | | Being a Breeder | 10+ Monster Pupils | 16-24 | 500 Mana | 2 | | Corrupting The Youth | Hum Pupil lvl 100+ | 16-24 | 5000 Mana | 6 | | Illegal Breeding | Mon Pupil Lvl 100+ | 16-24 | 5000 Mana | 6 | |------------------------|----------------------|-------|---------------|----| | Mastering Fists | Lvl 15+ Fist Mastery | 56-64 | Scroll: Fist | 12 | | Mastering Swords | Lvl 15+ Sword Mastry | 56-64 | Scroll: Sword | 12 | | Mastering Spears | Lvl 15+ Spear Mastry | 56-64 | Scroll: Spear | 12 | | Mastering Bows | Lvl 15+ Bow Mastery | 56-64 | Scroll: Bow | 12 | | Mastering Guns | Lvl 15+ Gun Mastery | 56-64 | Scroll: Gun | 12 | | Mastering Axes | Lvl 15+ Axe Mastery | 56-64 | Scroll: Axe | 12 | | Mastering Staves | Lvl 15+ Staff Mastry | 56-64 | Scroll: Staff | 12 | | Mastering Fire Magic* | Lvl 15+ sum in Fire | 56-64 | Exodus | 12 | | Mastering Wind Magic* | Lvl 15+ sum in Wind | 56-64 | Exodus | 12 | | Mastering Ice Magic* | Lvl 15+ sum in Ice | 56-64 | Exodus | 12 | | Mastering Star Magic* | Lvl 15+ sum in Star | 56-64 | Exodus | 12 | | Mastering Heal Magic* | Lvl 15+ sum in Heal | 56-64 | Universal Orb | 12 | '========================'======================'======='==============='====' *To qualify for these crimes, you need to have all the spell types of that element at a certain level (e.g., for "Mastering Fire Magic", you need to have Fire, Mega Fire, Giga Fire, Omega Fire, and Tera Fire all at no less than level 1). Some are tied to the displayed number of Felonies on your portrait, and still others give you a boost even if you got rid of the 'Felony stamp'. As mentioned in the Basics section, I've broken them up into two different categories. Displayed Felonies (Max = 99): - Decrease Shop buy prices by 1% per felony (Max = 33%) - Increase Shop sell prices by 1% per felony (Max = 33%) - Increase Dark Assembly Approval Rating (complicated; see below) - X felonies levels up enemies by X when you ascend in Dark World - Characters with these are unable to damage the Dark Sun in Dark World - A certain number of these is required to unlock certain extra stages (see next section) Hidden Felonies (Max = 300): - Increase EXP gain by +1% per felony The Dark Assembly bonus isn't as easy to determine. First of all, each Senator's attitude is based off a point value not available in-game. Love<3 Points: 40 to 120 Total Support Points: 26 to 39 Strongly For Points: 16 to 25 In favor of Points: 11 to 15 Leaning Yes Points: 5 to 10 Either Way Points: -4 to 4 Leaning No Points: -10 to -5 Against Points: -15 to -11 Strongly Against Points: -25 to -16 Total Opposition Points: -39 to -26 Loathe Points: -120 to -40 For every two (2) Displayed Felonies on the character proposing the bill, the Senators' attitudes will temporarily increase by 1 point. Furthermore, you could say that every two Felonies increases overall approval by approximately 5/12 of a percent (0.41667%), for a total of 245/12 of a percent (20.41667%) with 49+ Displayed Felonies. Due to the random modifier in Senator attitudes, this might not be exactly what you observe. ----------------------------------- Shop Price Formulas (with Felonies) ----------------------------------- Buy Price: [B * R] * [1 + (L * 0.05) + (U * 0.05) + (S * 0.10) - (F / 100)] Sell Price: [B * R] * [1 + (L * 0.05) + (U * 0.05) + (S * 0.10) + (F / 100)] * [0.5] Key: B = Base Price (In the Item List at GameFAQs) R = Rarity of item: - Normal = 1.0 - Rare = 1.5 - Legendary = 2.0 L = Level of item U = Number of Unsubdued Specialists in the item. S = Number of Subdued Specialists in the item. F = Number of Displayed Felonies on the character in your party who has the most. No more than 33 Displayed Felonies will have any effect, so don't make this variable any higher than 33. %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-% 5.00 Extra Stages with Felonies %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-% There are three extra stages requiring Felonies to be unlocked. To do this, throw a stack of nine (or less) characters onto the Court Gate. What's so amazing about about this is that the Felonies won't be split amongst the characters; they'll all get the full amount! Despite this, you'll still only get one prize (sorry!). Instead of just trudging through a Subpoena to get your Felonies, you can move the Bailiff to another item, something that's worthwhile to level up (e.g., a weapon or some armor). This is very simple and easy to do, especially because Bailiff come pre-subdued. You can furthermore deplete time wasted by getting multiple Felony convictions in the same item. This isn't as easy as putting five Bailiffs in an item, though, because each item can only hold one at a time. Regardless, once you get a conviction, the Bailiff in the item goes away, which means you can add another right away. The following procedure captures this exploit in fine detail. 1. Accept a bunch of Subpoenas that have Bailiff of similar level. 2. Put the lowest level Bailiff in an item you want to level up. 3. Enter the item and proceed to the floor equal to the Bailiff level. 4. Throw your stack of characters onto the Court Gate. 5. Use a Mr. Gency Exit to leave the item. 6. Place your next highest level Bailiff in the same item. 7. Re-enter the item and proceed to the floor equal to the Bailiff level. 8. Throw your stack of characters onto the Court Gate. 9. Repeat Steps 5-8 until you can't get any more Felonies from that item. Using this process, you can get somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 Felonies per item, which makes gaining EXP so much easier. %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-% 7.00 Guide History %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-% 06/11/2006 - Added the Introduction - Added the "What is a Felony" section (incomplete). 08/11/2006 - Finished the "Felony Basics" section. - Added the Merits section. - Added the List of Felonies (incomplete). 11/11/2006 - Finished the list of Felonies (complete). - Added the "Strategies" Section. - Made some revisions. 13/11/2006 - Added the "Extra Stages with Felonies" section. - Added the "Credits" section. 14/11/2006 - Made some corrections. - Finished the "Guide History" section. - Completed the guide. 11/05/2007 - Added the "Corrupting the Youth" Felony. 13/05/2007 - Fixed the "Corrupting the Youth" Felony. 23/07/2007 - Completed the "Corrupting the Youth" Felony. - Completed the "Illegal Breeding" Felony. 11/03/2008 - Added Prometheusx303's information. 11/05/2008 - Changed some of Prometheusx303's contributed info. 16/05/2008 - I let Prometheusx303 edit the whole guide to correct spelling and grammar, as well as add stuff. %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-% 8.00 Credits %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-% Thanks to Zerg_Rush for telling me about the "Corrupting The Youth" Felony.
