The chapter and verse will be given, as well as the caption of each verse from the game itself. Then will come the Epilogue, a description of the movie, the title of the film with its statement at the beginning of the credits, the saying of each character at the end and the number of remaining endings listed. a. Ending 1 CHAPTER 8 VERSE 9 (MOVIE) The Dragon offers to become the seal in place of the dead goddess. For the first time, a name is spoken. For the first time, tears are shed. For the first and final time, love is confessed. EPILOGUE It is over. Awakened from the spell of the gods, Manah pleaded with Caim and Verdelet for death, but they coldly push her away. As Verdelet wonders who shall become the next seal, the dragon speaks: "I shall be the seal." Verdelet and Caim stare back in surprise. Does a dragon offer itself to mankind? A change has been wrought in the dragon's proud heart. That change will save all of humanity. MOVIE Red lies on the ground and Caim has his arms wrapped around her neck. Verdelet chants a spell that will make Red the seal. In Verdelet's hand is a page with unknown writing on it. As he finishes his chant the words from the page wrap around Red's body and burn into her skin. Red cries and moans as this happens. RED: I have never seen you weep before. There is but one thing I wish for you to remember. Angelus. My name is Angelus. Caim turns his head and a tear drops form his eye. RED: You are the first and the last of your kind to know my name. Farewell, fool human. Small dust particles of light rise, Angelus disintegrates and flies into the sky in a ball of light. Verdelet: Ye gods, is it your will that we should live on? The camera falls back and rises as Caim and Verdelet stand before Red's spilt blood. END Drakengard the Anguish of an unsmiling watcher CAIM: On sacrifices countless will a new shrine be built by the hands of the gods. Four endings remain. b. Ending 2 CHAPTER 9 VERSE 6 (MOVIE) The goddess is reborn from the seeds of a million times over. Can anyone hope to be spared? EPILOGUE Caim stands alone, holding the remains of Furia in his arms. One after another her sisters rise into the sky, their hideous screams heralding the end of mankind. MOVIE Caim holds his dead sister in his arms at the edge of a cliff, overlooking the city. Dozens of clones of the resurrected Furia rise before them. Angelus: The seeds never were and mankind remains unforgiven. END Drakengard flowers for the Broken spirit FURIAE: A woman turned into a stake will hold the world in a basin of fire. Three endings remain. c. Ending 3 CHAPTER 9 VERSE VIII (MOVIE) Caim stands over the corpse of the dragon. The dark shadow of death has fallen upon the future of humanity. But Caim will fight still, everything resting upon his steel blade. EPILOGUE The struggle is won, the dragon's blood spilled. As Caim destroys the weed, not a trace of fear or doubt clouds his face. Outside the temple, a million dragons howl as they rise to begin annihilation of mankind. With battle-lust shining in his eyes, Caim runs into the light. MOVIE Caim stands over Angelus. Angelus: You have become strong. Angelus then dies. Caim walks over to a seed of destruction and slashes it, causing it to spill like water. The room begins to crumble. Caim looks down, smiles as he realizes the battle that lies ahead. He walks toward the exit, gives a sad glance towards Angelus and then begins to run outside into the light. END Drakengard a Companion's eternal farewell ANGELUS: A pitiful child shall defy the hands of the gods, and a door will close. Two endings remain. d. Ending 4 CHAPTER 12 VERSE 10 (MOVIE) Using all the time kept in his body, Seere freezes the queen-beast. Time turns to crystals that fall upon the earth, and Seere becomes the hero of legend. EPILOGUE "Forgive me." Within the eternity, Seere begs his sister's forgiveness. And then time.is stopped. MOVIE Angelus flies fast towards the giant pregnant woman with Caim and Seere on her back. Seere opens his arms as he rides the dragon as if grasping for a hug. Angelus suddenly stops, sending Seere down on the belly of the woman. Giant babies rise up to attack Angelus and Caim. Seere lands on the woman's belly and lays on his side as if sleeping. The giant babies viciously bite Angelus and Caim's sword is seen falling to the ground. SEERE: Will you forgive me now, Manah? Time them becomes black crystals, starting on the top of the pregnant woman's belly and covering her and the city around her entirely. Seere lays as if asleep and the screen turns completely white, then black. We then see the planet from an angle in space and a giant black crystal where time is frozen. Drakengard the wild dreams of a Deluded child SEERE: At long last, the jumping hands of time will be halted by a weakling cast in eternal solitude. One ending remains. e. Ending 5 NOTE: At the beginning of chapter 13 Angelus and Caim go to attack the queen-beast (giant pregnant woman) and are engulfed in a blaze of pure white light that bends time and space. The queen-beast, Caim and Angelus fall from a giant round blaze of light in the sky into modern day Tokyo. CHAPTER 13 VERSE 4 (MOVIE) Good work. EPILOGUE The battle that crossed space and time is won, the awesome enemy defeated at last. But the blood of the heroes who saved the world paints the town red. MOVIE The queen-beast begins to disintegrate and fall to the ground. ANGELUS: It is done! At last. Angelus and Caim are then shot by two missiles. Two air jets come onto the screen and Caim and Angelus fall to their death. PILOT: This is Bravo-1. Unidentified target has been neutralized. Over and out. END Drakengard, the End of the dragon sphere MANAH: Thank you for playing. --------------------------------- IV. ALLIES --------------------------------- Due to the number of e-mails I'm getting about allies I decided to add this concise, yet detailed, section on how to attain all three of the allies in Drakengard. The three allies have their own back-story and chapter that you must complete to get the 4th and 5th endings of the game. Upon getting an ally, you can bring him/her into battle by pressing the Circle button during ground missions. Before the verse begins, select Ally to be brought to a screen showing you which allies you have available. Choose whichever ally you'd like to bring with you into battle and continue on as normal. When summoned, each ally has an unlimited amount of MP that comes from his or her pact-partners. The HP of the ally slowly decreases when summoned, as well as when regularly attacked. You're only allowed to summon one ally 3 times in each ground mission. a. LEONARD In order to get Leonard first complete Chapter 2. After you've done so, go to the game mode screen and select Story Mode. Go to the page for Chapter 2 and you should see blacked out Roman numeral verses V and IX. Select verse IX and the requirement to unlock the verse will be given (you must complete verse 8 in under 20 minutes). After doing so, you'll be taken to more Roman numeral verses, until verse XIV. After you've completed verse XIV go back to Chapter 2 and select verse V. When given the option, choose to go to the Forest of the Seal. When you do so you'll be taken to the beginning of Leonard's Regret, Leonard's side chapter (which is chronologically between Chapters 2 and 3). If you choose not go to the Forest of the Seal you'll still have access to Leonard's Regret, you'll just have to choose to go there yourself from the Chapter selection screen. b. ARIOCH In order to get Arioch you must complete chapter 3 then afterwards go back to Chapter 3's verse list to find verses IV and IX blacked out. Select verse IX and it will tell you that you have to beat verse 8 in 20 minutes. After you do so you'll continue on until verse XV. When you're done, instead of continuing on to chapter 4, go back to Chapter 3 and select verse IV. When given the option choose to go to the Temple of the Sea in order to start Arioch's Regret, Arioch's side chapter (which is chronologically between Chapters 3 and 4), or if you'd like, select Temple of the Desert, which will take you to Chapter 3 verse 4. Whichever you choose, you'll still have access to Arioch's Regret, but selecting The Temple of the Sea is preferred. c. SEERE In order to get Seere, you must first have gotten Leonard and Arioch. Then go to and complete Chapter 4. After you've done so, instead of going on to Chapter 5, go back and you'll see verses VI and X blacked out. Check the requirements for verse X and complete them. After doing so select verse X and you'll go on through verse XII. Again, instead of going to chapter 5 go back and check your Chapter 4 verses again and select verse VI. When given the choice, go to the valley and you'll begin Seere's Prayer, Seere's side chapter, which is chronologically between Chapters 4 and 5. --------------------------------- V. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS --------------------------------- WARNING: SOME Q's/A's MAY HAVE ***SPOILERS***!! Q. Do you have to play the game through more than once for all the endings? A. No, each ending is attained through new chapters that are unlocked as you progress through the game. Q. I can't beat Chapter 9v3 in 4:20. Any tips? A. The best time to attack him is when he begins to form that circle of light that sends out 'light bombs' to attack you. You should be able to get at least 2 hits on him then. Keep pressing R2 to stay locked on to him as much as possible. When he moves from left to right/right to left, shoot a fireball in the path that he's going and time it right so it can deal some damage or hold square and lock on to him to attack, though he may dodge some or all of them. And last, don't use your magic until he begins the light circle mentioned above because contact is almost guaranteed. Q. Where's Manah in Chapter 11 verse 1? A. Get through the first two floors and when you get to the third you'll have a room full of targets. After you defeat them grab the key in the chest but DO NOT go through the door. Instead, go back to the previous floor and press R3 to view your map. You should then see a yellow target symbol on the map. Go into that room and Manah should be there. Mission Complete! Q. I can't get passed the verse with the giant babies. Any tips? A. If I'm not mistaken, you only need to kill 50 of these grotesqueries. Try to stay on the outside shooting in and use your multiple target-lock. While you're locking on to targets, don't target more than one baby, two the most, and stay focused on maneuvering to avoid damage. Q. Do you unlock anything for getting all five endings? A. You unlock a Free Mode level in Tokyo. If you complete it you can unlock a jet to fight as in aerial missions. Q. Did you get all five endings? A. I'm currently working on getting all the weapons so I can get the final ending. UPDATE: Just got the fifth ending and it took me by surprise, but it did put a huge grin on my face. -------------------- VI.
