My name is David DeGregorio and I am a sophomore in college. I have recently decided to start writing FAQ's for my favorite games. This is my ninth FAQ to date. If you would like to read any of my previous FAQs, just click on my username on the previous page and you will see all of my FAQs to date. I've been on break for quite a while (almost a year) but I'm back and I will continue to write strategy guides in the future. Jak 2 was a revolutionary game for Naughty Dog. It was one of the first platformers to get rid of the item collection element and focus more on the game's story. It was also one of the first platformers to add first-person shooting and sandbox gameplay. Jak 2 used the groundwork laid by the first game and greatly expanded on it. It is one of my favorite games on PS2, so it was only natural that I make this guide. I have done my best to make sure there are no errors in the FAQ. If you find any, let me know and I will update as soon as I possibly can (and I'm not busy usually so it won't take long). Also, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc. just email me and I will email back. I check my email every day. Thank you. Now let's get this FAQ underway. ~~~~~~~~~ Spoilers: ~~~~~~~~~ As usual, I will refrain from using spoilers in this guide. I don't believe in spoilers. They ruin the story for you, the gamer, and take away from the experience. So, yeah, no spoilers will be included in any of my guides. If you see something that looks like a spoiler, please let me know and I will edit that part or take it out completely. Thank you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Getting Started: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ First of all, you will need a copy of Jak 2. Buy it, rent it, or borrow it from a friend if you have to, however you will need the game to use this guide. You are in control of Jak. He's gotten considerably more badass since last game. ~~~~~~~~~ Controls: ~~~~~~~~~ Button ~ Function -------------------------------------------- ======== On Foot: ======== Left analog stick ~ Move Jak Right analog stick ~ Move Camera X Button ~ Jump X + X ~ Double Jump X + Square ~ Dive Attack X + Square (Dark Jak) ~ Dark Bomb Circle Button ~ Spin Kick Circle Button (In Water) ~ Submerge Square Button ~ Punch Square Button (During a scene) ~ Toggle Subtitles On/Off Square + X ~ Dash Uppercut Combo Square + X (Dark Jak) ~ Dark Blast Triangle ~ Steal A Hovercar Triangle (During a scene) ~ Skip Scene L1 ~ Crouch L1 (While Moving) ~ Roll L1 (hold) + X ~ High Jump L1 (while moving) + X ~ Long Jump L2 ~ Activate Dark Jak L3 ~ Display Game Stats R1 ~ Fire Weapon R3 ~ Change Into/Out Of First Person View SELECT ~ Pause START ~ Display Options Ring =============== In A Hover Car: =============== Left analog stick ~ Steer Car Right analog stick ~ Move Camera X Button ~ Accelerate Circle Button (During A Race) ~ Turbo Square Button ~ Brake Triangle Button ~ Get Into/Out Of A Vehicle L1 (During A Race) ~ Jump L3 ~ Display Game Stats R1 ~ Fire Weapon R1 (During A Race) ~ Jump R2 ~ Toggle Between Low/High Hover Zone SELECT ~ Pause START ~ Display Options Ring ========== Morph Gun: ========== Up ~ Take Out/Put Away Scatter Gun Down ~ Take Out/Put Away Blaster Gun Left ~ Take Out/Put Away Vulcan Gun Right ~ Take Out/Put Away Peacemaker Circle + R1 ~ Spin Attack + Rapid Fire X + Circle + R1 ~ Aerial Spin + Rapid Fire R1 ~ Fire Weapon SELECT ~ Pause START ~ Display Options ring =============== On a Jet-Board: =============== Left analog stick ~ Steer Hoverboard Right analog stick ~ Move Camera X Button ~ Jump X Button (After Landing) ~ Boost Jump X + R1 + Left Analog Left/Right ~ 360 X + R1 + Left Analog Up/Down ~ Flip X + L1 + Left Analog Stick ~ Trick Square ~ Grind On Rail L1 + X ~ Duck Jump R2 ~ Get On/Off Hoverboard SELECT ~ Pause START ~ Display Options Ring =========== Titan Suit: =========== Left analog stick ~ Move Titan Suit Right analog stick ~ Move Camera X Button ~ Jump X Button (Hold) ~ Jump Higher Circle Button ~ Punch Circle Button (Holding Object) ~ Throw Object Square ~ Punch R1 ~ Pick Up/Put Down Object R1 + Left Analog Stick ~ Push/Pull Object SELECT ~ Pause START ~ Display Options Ring ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walkthrough: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Escape From Fortress: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the awesome opening scenes, you are finally in control of Jak. He has gone through a lot since his last adventure. He is a lot less innocent than he was last game. When you gain control of Jak, walk to the left and you will find a pile of boxes. Climb to the top and jump to ledge to your left. Walk to the end and you will find a Precursor Orb. Precursor Orbs are used to unlock various perks in the game. If you press Start and go to the Secrets tab, you can see all of the things you can unlock. Return to the pile of boxes and jump into the hole in the wall. Follow the tunnel to the end and drop down to the floor. Walk over to the boxes on the left and climb to the top. Double jump up to the next ledge and turn left. Walk through the hole in the wall. Walk forward and break the Krimson Guard crates. Turn left and jump from platform to platform until you reach the one that is moving up and down. Ride it to the top and jump to the ledge on your left. Turn right and do a crouch jump to reach the top of the ledge. Walk forward and turn right. Walk forward and take out the Krimson Guard. Jump up to the next ledge and walk forward. Jump onto the moving platform and then jump to the next walkway. Take out the Krimson Guard. Walk forward, turn left, and walk to the end of the path. Jump to the pole. Press x near the top of your swing to jump to the next path. Turn right and walk to the end of the path. Jump onto the moving platform and turn around. Jump to the next pathway. Take out two more Krimson Guards and continue onward. When you reach the first pit, jump into it to find Precursor Orb number four. Jump back out of the pit and roll jump across it. Continue down the path and roll jump across the next pit. In the next room, Krimson Guards will constantly shoot at you from the room below. If you keep double jumping, they won't be able to hit you. Use your dive attack to break through the grate. Walk to the end of the path and turn left. Jump across the pit and enter the next room. Walk forward and take out two more Krimson Guards. Break through the next grate and slide down the vent to the room below. Wade over to the next platform and climb the pile of boxes against the wall on the right. Climb to the top and jump up to the next ledge. Jump down to the ground and you are out of the prison. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Protect Kor And Kid: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walk down the street and eventually a scene will take over. Your mission is to protect these two people from the Krimson Guards. This is a pretty easy affair. After you kill a couple Guards, you will transform into Dark Jak and you will be able to kill dozens of Krimson Guards with relative ease. When they are all dead, another scene will take over. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Retrieve Banner From Dead Town: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Press triangle to steal a hoverbike and make your way to the sword-shaped symbol on your map. When you get there, another scene will take over. Your next mission is to prove your worth to Torn by stealing the Baron's banner from dead town. Jump into another hoverbike and follow the symbol on the map to a gate leading outside the city. Dead Town is a pretty apt name for this place. Everything is in ruins and the water is a murky brown color. If the water touches you it will deal damage, so avoid it at all costs. Walk to the end of the path and kill the lizard creature. Jump to the next sandbar and kill two more. Turn and jump across the platforms to the next sandbar. Kill the bigger lizard creature and turn right. Walk across the bridge and kill two more large lizards. Walk forward and climb the series of ledges to the top. Turn left and walk to the end of the path. Jump onto the ledge above and turn left. Walk to the end of the pathway and jump down to ledge below. Kill some more small lizards and follow the ledge as it curves around to the left. Take another left and walk forward. Turn right and walk across the bridge until you reach a four way intersection. Turn right and walk to the end of the path. Turn left and cross one more bridge. Take out all of the small lizards. Climb the pile of rubble in the corner. At the top, you will see another bridge. This bridge is made of a weaker material and will fall as soon as you try to cross. Run, jump, or roll across before the bridge collapses. Turn right and climb the series of platform. Jump across the gap to some more platforms. Be careful because the first and third platform will collapse. Jump the next gap and climb the next series of platforms. Jump to the pole and swing to the next ledge. Walk to the end of the path. The last series of platforms will all collapse underneath you, so you have to be fast. Jump from platform to platform to pole and swing to the next platform. Jump the next few gaps and you will reach solid ground. Follow the path to the glowing banner and watch the scene. When you regain control of Jak, you will find yourself on a sandbar. Find the group of platforms that look like steps and climb to the top. Turn left and walk to the end of the path. Turn right and walk forward. Turn right and and drop down to the sandbar. Cross the bridge and turn left. Jump across the platforms to the next sandbar and turn left. Jump to the next sandbar and walk back to the city. Return to Torn for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Turn The Water Back On To The Slums: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Follow the symbol on your map to the pump station. Walk forward and you will meet your first Metal Head. Metal Heads are nasty creatures coming in various forms and sizes. They are part machine and part beast and must be destroyed. These first few are easy but they will get much harder later in the game. Take out these Metal Heads and they will drop yellow gemstones. These are Metal Head Skull Gems and can be used to power up your Dark Jak Form. Gather them whenever you kill a Metal Head. Jump onto one of the rising pistons and ride it to the top. Jump to the platform and take out the two small lizards. Turn right and jump to the next platform. Follow the path as it curves to the left. In front of you, you will see a hollow metal pipe. Jump onto it, walk to the end, and jump up to the next platform. Take out all of the lizards and walk forward. Turn left and you will see a rotating metal pipe. It will stop for a second, so make your way across and take out the Metal Head. Turn right and walk across the next metal pipe, making sure to jump over the moving electric fence. Walk forward and take out the lizards and another Metal Head. Jump onto one of the moving pistons and ride it to the top. Jump to the platform. Walk to the end of the platform and jump to the next one. Kill the Metal Head and the large lizards. Walk across the metal pipe, double jumping over two electric fences. Take out the small lizards on the other side. Jump to the next platform and take out the Metal Heads and the lizards. Walk to the end of the platform and jump to the metal walkway. Take out some more lizards. Cross the rotating metal pipe and jump to the next platform. Take out the lizards. Jump to the next platform and walk until you reach the metal walkway. Walk up the metal ramp and follow the path until you reach the valve. Watch the scene. Return to Torn for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blow Up Ammo At Fortress: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your next mission is to blow up an ammo dump in the Baron's fortress. Follow the red symbol to the fortress and walk inside. You will see a security tank in front of you. It won't harm you for the time being. Turn left and walk through the security gate. As you do so, the security tank will activate. This next part is a little tricky. You will have to avoid the fire of the tank as you make your way around the room. The target will show where the tank is going to shoot. The target will lock in place a second or two before the tank is about to fire. The best thing to do here is to take it slow. Double jump often and try not to rush. You are much quicker than the tank's gun. After you make your way around the room, you and the tank will be separated by a metal gate. The tank will bust through and the chase will continue. This part is even more tricky. In addition to the tank's massive gun, you have to watch out for four other smaller guns. On each gun is a moving motion-detector laser beam that sets of the gun. As you double jump and avoid the tank's fire, be very careful to jump over the beams. It takes a few tries to get it right but you'll get it eventually. After you pass the four smaller guns, follow the hallway as it curves to the left. Continue to avoid the tank's fire and jump onto the crate. Wait for the tank to fire again, then jump to the pole and swing to the hallway above. Walk forward and turn right. The tank will follow you into the next room but its much less threatening now. Walk to the end of the walkway and turn left. Walk to the end of the next walkway. To your left you will see some rotating platforms. Wait for one to move near you and jump onto it. In the center of the rotating platforms is a glass tube glowing blue. Jump to that platform and destroy the tube. Jump to the platform with the second blue tube and destroy that as well. This will deactivate a security gate. Jump onto one of the rotating platforms and walk through the deactivated gate. Walk forward and turn left. Jump across the moving platforms and take out some Krimson Guards. Follow the path as it curves around and walk forward. Jump across some more moving platforms and take out more Guards. Turn around and jump across more moving platforms to reach the next walkway. Take out the Guards and follow the to the left. Wait for the spikes to retract into the ground and dash past them. Take out some more Guards and turn left. At the next set of spikes, wait for the nearest row to retract into the ground and walk forward. Wait for the middle set to retract and walk forward again. When the final set of spikes retracts into the ground, dart forward and take out the next wave of Krimson Guards. Follow the path to the end and break through the grate in the floor. Walk down the conveyor belt and jump to one of the moving platforms. Jump the gap to the next ledge. Climb the series of ledges and walk down the next conveyor belt. Walk through the door and watch the scene. After the scene, another security tank will activate. You are trapped in the room, so it looks like you have to fight the tank. Instead, you will have to run from the tank and force it to destroy the ammo and the missile coolant systems. It's much easier than it sounds, trust me. Just run around the giant missile in the middle of the room and the tank will do the rest. After everything is destroyed, a door will open and you will have six seconds to get out of there before the place blows up. Run to the door and watch the scene that follows. Return to Torn for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Make Delivery To Hip Hog Saloon: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For your next mission, you will have to make a delivery of eco to the Hip Hog Saloon. Head outside and walk to the glowing zoomer. It's time to finally leave the slums. Hop into the zoomer to start the mission. The bar overhead shows how close you are to your destination. Now, follow the wine glass symbol to reach your destination. For the first part of the mission, the Krimson Guard won't bother you (provided you don't bump into one of them). However, as you head through the red barrier, the Krimson Guard will be alerted to your presence, setting up roadblocks and chasing after you. My suggestion for this mission is that you stay in the low hover zone for most of the mission. In the low hover zone, you can run over Krimson Guards with ease and roadblocks won't pose much of a threat. Snake your way through the city until you reach a large body of water. Here, switch to the high hover zone and head straight for the glowing circle. As soon as you reach the Hip Hog Saloon, switch to the low hover zone and fly into the glowing circle. You will automatically jump out of the zoomer. Walk inside and watch the scene. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beat The Scatter Gun Course: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head outside and follow the symbol on the map to reach the gun course. Walk inside and Sig will give you a tutorial on the scatter gun. Afterwards, press x to start the scatter gun course. It's pretty straightforward. Shoot the Metal Heads and avoid shooting the pedestrians. You get points for each destroyed Metal Head but points are deducted if you shoot pedestrians. Get 3000 points to beat the scatter gun course. It's pretty easy to get 3000 points but if you're having trouble, here are a few tips. Try to get two Metal Heads with each shot because the scatter gun has a wide area. Always hit the gold targets first because they're worth a lot. The spin kick attack works well if you want to avoid pedestrians, considering you are still awarded full points. Also, you can use the spin kick + R1 combo to shoot rapid fire and hit fast targets. There are points in the course where a target will be in front of you and one will be behind you. Stand in the middle of them and use the rapid fire combo to rack up points and get quick kills. Once you are finished, head back to Krew's bar for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Protect Sig At Pumping Station: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, head back outside and return to the pumping station. It's time to toast some Metal Heads. As soon as you get to the pumping station, you'll meet up with Sig. He's ready for action. Follow Sig and take out the lizards and metal heads on the beach. Ride the pistons to the top and jump onto the platform. Take cover as Sig toasts the giant tank. Walk down the new path and take out two more Metal Heads and some lizards. Sig asks you to drop the bridge, so walk over and hang off the side to lower it. Walk across and kill more lizards as Sig charges the Peacemaker. When they're all dead, Sig fires the lethal shot. That's one down, four two go. Follow Sig down the ramp and onto the beach. There are a bunch of Metal Heads waiting for you, so take them out and move forward. Kill some more lizards as Sig charges the Peacemaker again. It takes a bit longer this time but there are less lizards than before. That's two down. Walk over to the metal walkway and climb the steps to the top. Take out some more Metal Heads, then lower the bridge for Sig. Walk to the end of the walkway and then kill some more lizards while Sig charges the Peacemaker again. It takes even longer this time. Make sure you pay attention to both sides of the walkway. That's three down. Follow Sig to the end of the metal walkway. Jump across the platforms and you will be on another beach. Toast some more metal heads. Kill more lizards while Sig charges the Peacemaker. They come from both sides of the beach so watch out. That's four down. Follow Sig across the river and take out some more Metal Heads. Sig's gun will jam, so protect him from Metal Heads until he fixes it. Follow Sig to the end of the beach to reach the final Metal Head. Take out a last swarm of lizards while Sig charges the Peacemaker a final time. That's all five down. Good job, cherry. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Go To The Oracle: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head back to the city. By now, you should have at least 25 Metal Head Skull Gems. This means that an orange-ish symbol will appear on your map. Head to the symbol to see the Oracle. The Oracle will give you a new dark power: Dark Bomb. This can only be activated in Dark Jak mode. Press x to jump then square to activate this awesome new power. Exit the Oracle's hut and return to Krew for a new mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destroy Turrets In Sewers: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the hilarious scene, head outside and follow the symbol to reach the entrance to the sewers. Brace yourself. It's gonna be a dirty job. Head down into the sewers and walk forwards. Take out the lizards and step on the light switch. Walk to the end of the tunnel and look around the corner. Here is the first gun turret. The turrets are powerful but they are low in defense. One hit will destroy them. Turn the corner and head towards the turret, double jumping over the gunfire. As long as you keep jumping the gun can't hurt you. Take out the first turret. Jump across the platforms to reach the next pathway. Turn left and walk to the end. Jump to the next walkway and take out the Metal Head behind the fence. Walk to the end of the walkway and turn left. Jump across the platforms to reach solid ground. Take out the lizards and turn right. Step on the light switch to reveal three large Metal Heads. Take them out and move forward. Take out some lizards and turn left. Walk forward and hug the right wall. You will see the next turret up ahead. It is a little trickier to get to but still manageable. Double jump over the gunfire and take it out. That's two down. Turn around and walk back across the narrow walkway. Walk forward and step onto the metal walkway. It will collapse, sending you down to the level below. Follow the path around the corner and step on the light switch. There are a lot of Metal Heads in this room. Switch into Dark Jak mode if you can. If not, keep using rapid fire combos, aerial rapid fire combos, or just keep shooting until they're all dead. Head to the back of the room and look at the left wall. There are platforms jutting out of the wall. Climb them to the top and walk forward. Take out the lizards and turn right. Walk to the end of the walkway and you will hear gunfire. To reach this turret, you will have to jump across four small platforms, while double jumping over gunfire. It's best to wait for the turret to fire and then jump to the first platform so you have time to jump over the next gunshot. Take out the turret. That's three down. Turn left and jump onto the next platform. Climb the steps to the next path and turn on the light switch. As you walk forwards, the lights will go out and three Metal Heads will run at you. You can still see the Skull Gem, so take them out and continue forward. The next turret is just around the bend to the left. This one is actually easier than the last one. To reach it, you need to jump across three large platforms, while jumping over gunfire. It's much easier with large platforms. Take out the turret. That's all four down. Turn left and take out some lizards. Walk to the end of the hall and turn right. Take out two more Metal Heads and jump down to the level below. You are back where you began. Turn right, walk to the end of the hall, and ride the lift back to the surface world. Return to Krew for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beat Blaster Gun Course: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head back outside and return to the gun course. Here you will find the blaster mod. Sig will give you a tutorial on the blaster. After that's over, it's time for another gun course. This is very similar to the first one. The only difference is that for the blaster, you need to make 4000 points. Use the same tactics as before and you should have no problem making four thousand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rescue Vin At Strip Mine: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head outside and you will see two symbols on the map. Looks like Torn has some more missions for you. Return to Torn's hideout and watch the scene. Looks like one of the rebels is in trouble. Head back outside and head towards the new symbol on the map (the lightning bolt). Walk into the house and use the warp gate at the back of the room. You will be transported to the strip mine. Ok, here's where the fighting starts to get more intense. The strip mine is filled with pools of dark eco and that attracts lots of Metal Heads. Avoid the dark eco at all costs. It will kill you instantly. Walk forward and a bunch of scorpion Metal Heads will rise out of the sand. Take them out with your favorite type of gun. Continue forward and take out some large Metal Heads. Follow the path as it curves to the left. Continue forward and a new type of Metal Head will appear. These flying types will shoot beams of dark eco at you. Take care of them with the blaster. As you enter the large area with the conveyor belt, you will be attack on all sides by various types of Metal Heads. Be on your guard and try not to waste your ammo. It's best to use rapid fire combos and watch your back at all times. When they're all dead, continue forward. A bunch more Metal Heads will pop up as you follow the path. The scorpions will pop out of the ground at random, so be cautious. They will try to sneak up on you but as long as you keep your finger trained on the trigger, they shouldn't be a problem. Continue to follow the path as it curves around to the right until you reach a conveyor belt going upwards. Ride the conveyor belt and kill the Metal Head at the top. Ride the next belt and kill some more Metal Heads. Hop onto one of the moving platforms and ride it over to the other side. On the way, flying Metal Heads will assault you. They shouldn't be too much of a problem at this point, though. On the other side, kill a scorpion and a large Metal head and walk towards the metal door. Watch the scene that follows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destroy Eggs At Drill Platform: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After you come out of the warp gate, walk towards the computers for another scene. Vin has a mission for you at the drill platform. Jump back through the warp gate when you're ready. Walk forward and you will see a new type of Metal Head. These are like living buzz saws. Shoot them from a distance to avoid them swarming you. Kill all of the buzz saws and continue forward. Kill some more buzz saws and walk to the end of the path. Turn right and walk onto the square in middle. It will take you to the level above. Get into the gun pod by pressing triangle. Your primary task here is to destroy all of the eggs on the drill platform but first you have to take care of some large flying Metal Heads. Once they are all dead, take out all of the eggs. On the right side of your screen, it will tell you how many eggs you have left to destroy. When they are all gone, exit the gun pod and ride the elevator down to the bottom floor. Turn right and walk forward. Turn left and jump onto the ledge. Turn right and jump onto the next ledge. Turn right again and ride the conveyor belt. Turn left and walk towards the hole in the wall. Here there is a Metal Head with a large shield. Wait until it attacks, then shoot it with your blaster. Continue forward and kill all of the buzz saws. When they are all dead, walk to the left side of the area. There is a small stack of eco barrels here. Jump onto the barrels and then jump onto the larger stack next to it. From here, jump to the next platform. Watch out because platform with the metal grille will spout fire every few seconds. Wait for the fire to recede and walk to the end of the platform. Jump to the next platform and wait for some more fire to recede. Walk to the end of the platform. Spin kick the red switch to make a new platform appear. Jump onto the new platform and jump to another walkway. In front of you is a conveyor belt moving towards you. As you walk down that conveyor belt, keep your gun at the ready because four buzz saws will attack you at the bottom. Take them out and walk to the end of the walkway. Turn left and walk to the end. On the platform ahead, there are bunch of buzz saws waiting to attack you. Kill them from a distance using the aerial rapid fire combo. Spin kick the red switch to create a new platform. Jump to it and jump to the platform where the buzz saws were moments ago. Kill any remaining buzz saws. Turn right and drop down to the platform below. Cross the bridge, watching out for the gunshots of the large flying Metal Head. On the other side, kill all of the buzz saws and ride the elevator to the level above. Kill a couple more buzz saws and hop into the gun pod. Kill the large flying Metal Heads and then take out the eggs. Exit the gun pod and ride the elevator down to the level below. There are a bunch of buzz saws waiting at the bottom, so keep your gun at the ready. Kill all of them and walk forward. Jump onto the eco crates and then jump onto the ledge above. Go through the hole in the wall and take out another shielded Metal Head. Walk to the other side and drop down to the platform below. There is a series of platforms here leading to the other side of the gap. They will all collapse underneath you, so you have to be fast. Jump to the first platform and then to the first pole. Swing to the next platform and then jump to the next pole. Swing to the next platform and then jump from platform to platform until you reach solid ground. Turn left and kill some more buzz saws. Ride the elevator to the top and hop into the gun pod. Kill the large flying Metal Heads and destroy all the eggs. Exit the gun pod and ride the elevator to the bottom. Kill two more buzz saws and follow the path until you reach the warp gate. Jump through it and you will be back at Vin's place. He doesn't have any more mission's for you at the moment, so return to Torn's hideout for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Find Pumping Station Patrol: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, hop into a zoomer and return to the pumping station. Apparently, the pumping station patrol went missing, so it's your job to find her. When you get to the pumping station, you will see how bad things have gotten there. Those crab Metal Heads Sig toasted earlier have overrun the place, so you'll have to take them out. Avoid their gunfire and blast them. It should take 4 or five hits to kill them. Take out the crab and walk over to the pistons. Ride them to the top and turn left. Walk down the path and kill two more Metal Heads. Turn right, walk across the bridge and turn left. Run down the ramp and walk out onto the beach. Kill all of the Metal Heads here and follow the beach as it curves to the right. Climb the steps onto the metal walkway and kill two more Metal Heads. Walk to the end of the walkway and turn right. Jump across the platforms to reach the beach. Take out the three crabs here. Turn back around and walk back towards the platforms. Jump onto the first platform and then jump onto the platform on the right. From here, jump onto the lowest spinning platform. Jump from platform to platform to reach a metal walkway. Ride the leftmost piston to the top and jump to the ledge above. Fill up on ammo and follow the path to the end. Take out the Metal Heads and walk forward for a scene. You will be bombarded with Metal Heads now. I would suggest aerial rapid fire combos and Dark Jak. Do your best not to get hit and try not to get too close to the crabs and you should be alright. After the long fight, watch another scene. Return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Find Lens In Mountain Temple: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now that you have the yellow security pass, you have access to the rest of Haven City. Head towards the tent-shaped symbol on the map for your next mission. Walk inside the tent for a scene. After the scene, walk back outside and make your way towards the rock shape symbol on your map. Walk up the long ramp and exit the city. In the next area, turn right and walk over to the warp gate. Jump through the gate to reach the next area. Walk to the end of path and turn right. Shoot the floating platform to flip it over. Jump to the platform and then jump the gap to the ledge. Walk onto the circle at the end of the path. This is an elevator. Ride it down to the path below. Take out the Metal Heads in front of you and walk forward. Take the path to the left and take out a shield Metal Head. Walk forward and kill some frog-like Metal Heads. Climb the grassy steps and use the platforms to get across the water. Walk to the end of the path and drop down into the trench. Here you will be assaulted by a Rhino Metal Head. It cannot be damaged initially because it is covered in armor. However, if you dodge it long enough, it will rear up on its hind legs, exposing the weak spot on its belly. It will take 6 or 7 shots but eventually it will go down. Take out the Rhino and use your dive attack to hit the precursor switch in the middle of the trench. This will create a platform on the left side of the trench. Jump up to the platform and then jump onto the ledge above. Take out the shield Metal Head and jump across the gap. Walk to the end of the path and a scene will take over. Turn around and jump onto the first floating platform. Wait for the second platform to move towards you and jump on. Jump to the third platform and ride it to the top. Jump to the grassy ledge. Turn right and shoot the platform. Jump to the platform and jump to the grassy ledge. Walk forward and you will see another moving platform. Make your way across, double jumping over the two barricades. Kill some more Metal Heads and wade across the river. Continue forward and take out another shield Metal Head. Dive attack the switch to make two platforms appear. Jump from platform to platform to reach the grassy ledge above. There is an armada of frogs waiting for you, so take them out with a few rapid fire combos. Wade across the river and enter the gazebo. Walk forward for a scene. After the scene, turn right and exit the gazebo. Jump onto the floating platform and ride it down to a large temple. Kill all of the frogs here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Find Gear In Mountain Temple: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Turn left and walk over to the 'window'. There shoot be a floating platform in front of you. Shoot it and jump on. Shoot the next platform and jump on. Shoot the final platform and jump on. Jump down to the grassy area below. Take care of another Rhino. Dive attack the precursor switch on the left to create two platforms on the right side of the area. Jump from platform to platform to reach the grassy ledge above. Continue down the path and take out some more Metal Heads. Follow the path until you reach the end. Drop down to the pathway below. For this next part, you need to dodge a constant barrage of boulders while climbing a series of platforms. The best thing to do is to hang from the edge of each platform and wait for an opening in the rain of boulders before continuing forward. For the second part of the climb, you can hide behind the large rocks to avoid getting hit. After that, it's just a short climb to the top of the hill. Follow the path to the end and shoot the platform. Jump onto the platform and then jump onto the platform in the middle. Shoot the next platform and jump onto it. Jump to the grassy path in front of you. Follow the path to the end and watch the scene that follows. After the scene, walk to the floating platform and ride it down to the temple. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Find Shard In Mountain Temple: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walk forward and go through the temple exit across from where you came in (the only one you haven't been to). Walk forward and kill some Metal Heads. Continue down the path and you will be assaulted by a horde of frogs. Use Dark Jak if you can or just keep shooting until they're all dead. Follow the path some more and kill a shield Metal Head. Climb the platforms on the left to reach the grassy area above. Cross the moving platform and follow the path until you reach the pool of dark eco. You will see several floating boxes over the pool. You have to hit the boxes in order to make a bridge across the pool. For the first box, hit it forward, left, forward, forward, left. For the second box, hit it left, forward, forward, forward, left. For the third box, hit it forward, right, right, right, forward. For the fourth box, hit it forward, forward, right, forward, forward. For the last box, hit it forward, right, forward, forward, right. Jump onto the grassy platform and climb the steps to the top. Shoot the platform and jump onto it. Jump to the platform with the Rhino. Take out the Rhino to clear the way forward. Jump to the new platform and jump to the ledge above. Walk forward for a scene. After the scene, turn around and jump back to the platform where you fought the Rhino. Walk to the right side of the platform and look over the edge. There should be a grassy area just below. Drop down and you should see the temple entrance in front of you. Walk to the right and drop down to the path below. Turn left and walk into the temple. Walk forward a bit, turn left, and leave the temple. Walk to the end of the path and ride the elevator to the top. Turn right and walk forward. Shoot the platform and use it to cross the gap. Turn left, walk forward, and jump into the warp gate. Return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Go To The Oracle: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By now, you should have at least 200 Metal Head Skull Gems, so it's time to return to the Oracle for another dark power. Grab a zoomer and head over to the Oracle's hut. The Oracle will give you the Dark Blast attack this time. You can activate it by pressing square then immediately pressing x. Say goodbye to your enemies. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beat Time To Race Garage: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now it's time to do some more jobs for Krew. Get in a zoomer and return to Krew's bar for your next mission. After the scene, head back outside and jump in the zoomer parked nearby. You will now have about 3 minutes to get to the race garage from here. You really shouldn't have too much trouble with this. As long as you take the inside of corners and fly mostly in the low hover zone, you should make it there with plenty of time to spare. Watch the scene that follows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Win Jet-Board Stadium Challenge: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, follow the symbol on the map to the jet board arena. You will get a tutorial on how to use the jet board and then you will be asked to get at least 15000 points in the arena. It's not that hard. Just keep on stringing tricks together and you should have it in no time. I find it best to grind, then do a trick, then go back into a grind for an easy string of tricks to rack up your score. After you beat the stadium challenge, exit the arena and step into the glowing circle to put your board away. Return to the race garage for another scene. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Turn On Five Power Switches: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, your work here is done. Hop in a zoomer and head over to Vin's place for a new mission. After the scene, head outside and steal a durable car. It's time to take out some turrets. Remember the turret guns you destroyed in the sewers? Well, there are five of them spread across the city. Each one guards a power switch that you need to activate. The trick to this is take out all of the turrets before you hit any of the switches. Otherwise, the Krimson guards will be on your tail while you try to deal with the turrets. So, get in a car and fly to the first turret. Fly into the turret and have the car block the turrets gunfire. Then take out the turret with a spin attack. Do the same thing for all five turrets. Once the turrets are taken out, it's time to press the switches. Step on the first switch and steal a fast car. Evade the Krimson Guard and fly from switch to switch until they're all pressed. If you take your time, this mission should be a piece of cake. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ride Elevator Up To Palace: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now that the elevator has power, it's time to ride it. Follow the elevator symbol on the map to reach the service elevator. Walk inside and ride it to the top. Walk outside and you'll see you have quite a trek ahead of you. In order to reach the palace, you have to cross a bridge filled with numerous hazards. Walk down the steps and start your journey. First you will have to get past spinning electric fan-blades. They aren't much of a threat. Just wait for an opening and jump past both sets of fan-blades. Continue forward until you see a part of the path that's red. This section of the path is electrified, so you'll have to go around. Drop down to the platform on the left and descend the stairs. Swing across the poles and climb the steps to the top. When you reach the top, you will be block by another electrified part of the path. Drop down to the platform on the right and jump the gap to the next platform. Jump back up to the main walkway. Watch out for the gun turret in front of you. Jump over its gunfire and take it out. For the next part, you will have to walk across a part of the walkway that is constantly rotating. Half of the walkway is covered in spikes, so wait for the spiked side to rotate and jump on the non-spiked side. Quickly cross the the walkway before it rotates on you. Up ahead is another gun turret. Take it out and continue forward. The walkway will end up ahead, so drop down to the platform on the right. Follow the walkway as it snakes underneath the bridge and then climb the steps up to the main walkway. Walk forward and you will see a single piece of rotating walkway followed by more electrified walkway. Wait for the spiked side of the walkway to rotate and jump on the non-spiked side. Jump to the platform on the right. Jump up to the next platform and then jump to the thin platform on the main walkway. As you continue forward, two cannons will continually fire at you. You can't destroy them, so double jump over the gunfire as you walk down the path. As soon as you pass the cannons, they'll stop firing. At the end of the path, climb the series of platforms on the right and walk towards the sunroof for a scene. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Defeat Baron At Palace: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Turn left and follow the path until a scene takes over. =========== Boss Fight: =========== ++++++++++++++++++++ Baron Praxis: Part 1 ++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 1: Machine guns +++++++++++++++++++++ In the first stage, the baron will fire at you with dual machine guns. In this stage, I would advise using a Dark Blast to end the stage early. However, if you don't have Dark Jak or just want a challenge, you can do it the hard way. Avoid the gunfire by either rolling or jumping. Be quick though, because the guns fire fast. Use aerial rapid fire combos and well placed shots to whittle away the baron's health. If you need ammo there are KG crates nearby. As soon as 1/3 of the baron's health is gone, the baron will flee. Chase after him to begin stage 2 +++++++++++++++++ Stage 2: Missiles +++++++++++++++++ In the second stage, the baron will fire missiles at you. They are much easier to avoid than the machine guns because you can see where they're going to land. Red targets will appear where each missile is going to land. They're pretty slow too, so they're easy to avoid. Just keep peppering the baron with your blaster and he will flee once more. +++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 3: Fire Tornadoes +++++++++++++++++++++++ In this final stage, the baron will shoot fire tornadoes at you. They aren't too hard to avoid but they can surround you if you're not careful. The baron will go down faster now that the baron's shield is down. Use aerial rapid fire combos to deal massive damage. Don't worry about ammo. Fire as much as you can at the baron and he should go down quickly. After the fight walk up the ramp and turn left. Walk through the glowing gates and walk down the hallway to the elevator. Ride it to the bottom and head back out to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Collect Money For Krew: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now it's time to do another job for Krew. Return to Krew's bar and watch the scene. After the scene, head back outside. Krew needs you to collect some money for him, so get ready to race around the city. Hop into the zoomer outside Krew's bar and head towards the first moneybag. As soon as you start the mission, the KG will start chasing after you, so don't worry about laying low. Zoom towards each moneybag and run over anyone who gets in your way. This job isn't too hard. The KG don't give you too much trouble and the times are pretty reasonable (with the exception of one bag you have to reach in ten seconds but it's pretty close by), so you should be able to complete this mission without too much trouble. Make sure to get a new zoomer if yours starts to get too beat up. When you have all of the moneybags, return to Krew's place for your reward: a scatter gun upgrade. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shuttle Underground Fighters: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now it's time to pay Torn another visit. Return to Torn's hideout and watch the next scene. Your next task is to move four members of the underground to different homes. Head back outside and hop into the hovercar to start the mission. You will have about one minute to pick up each fighter and about a minute and thirty seconds to get each fighter to their new home. After you pick up the first fighter, the KG will start chasing after you like crazy, so fly as fast as you can to his new home. The first two are relatively easy, so you shouldn't have too much trouble. After you drop off the second fighter, your car should be pretty beat up, so steal a new one (make sure it's a two-seater though) and continue to the next fighter. For the next two fighters, the KG will be shooting at you like no tomorrow, so do your best to avoid their fire and drop the fighters off. If you need to steal another car after the third fighter, feel free to do so. The fourth fighter is the trickiest because his new home is in the sector with the pumping station. For the fourth fighter, either fly in the high hover zone and avoid the other cars or fly in the low hover zone and ride along the wooden planks as best you can. After all the fighters are safely tucked away in their new homes, return to Torn for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Protect Site At Dead Town: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, hop in a zoomer and head over to dead town. It's time to toast some Metal Heads with your new gun. The Vulcan Fury is a powerful and very useful weapon. It fires at a very rapid rate and is incredibly useful at taking out multiple enemies at once. This should be your go to weapon for most missions, your backup being the blaster. Once you get to dead town, take out your blaster and kill the scorpions that rise out of the sand. Walk forward and jump to the next sandbar. Take out the metal head and jump onto the wooden platform in the middle of the sandbar. Jump to the next wooden platform and then jump to the concrete platform above. Take out the two Metal heads and walk to the end of the curved platform. Take out your Vulcan Fury and use the platforms to reach the next sandbar. On the sandbar you'll see a new type of Metal Head. These Slinger Metal Heads will constantly shoot dark eco at you and it takes a lot of hits to kill. Use the Vulcan to take it out quickly and then kill the other Metal Head. Turn right and walk to the end of the sandbar. Jump across the platforms to the next sandbar and take the two Slingers from a distance with the Vulcan. Hop across to the next sandbar and you will be assaulted by an army of scorpions. Take them out with the Vulcan and push forward. Climb the hill and jump up to the narrow walkway. Kill the Metal Head to your right and and turn left. Walk to the end of the walkway, take out the Metal Head, and climb the steps. Kill the Slinger from a distance with the Vulcan and then take care those annoying scorpions. Continue forward and you will be assaulted by a pack of large Metal Heads. If you have Dark Jak, now is a good time to use it. If not, use your Vulcan to take them out quickly. Walk forward and peer around the corner to the left. You will see another new type of Metal Head. These gunners are very quick at the draw, so it pays to be careful with them. Aim at them from around the corner and take them out quickly with the Vulcan. Take out the first Gunner and walk around the corner, hugging the left wall. Continue forward and peer around the next corner. Take out the Gunner at the top of the steps. Climb the steps and turn left. Walk forward and you will be assaulted by another pack of large Metal Heads. Take them out with the Vulcan and push forward. Walk to the end of the path and turn right. Kill the scorpions with your blaster and walk to the end of the walkway. Turn right and kill the Slingers from a distance with the Vulcan. Walk to the end of the path and watch the scene that follows. After the scene, turn around and walk to the end of the path. Turn right and drop down to the sandbar below. Turn left and use the platforms to reach the curve concrete platform above. Walk to the end of the platform and drop down to the sandbar below. Jump the gap to the next sandbar and return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Catch Scouts In Haven Forest: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hop in a zoomer and return to Torn's hideout to meet with the shadow. After the scene, head outside. Grab a zoomer and head back to the mountain area where you found the three artifacts. As you exit the city, you will receive the Jet Board. Now you will be able to ride it at any time. Simply press R2 to get on and off the board. Head into the mountain pass and jump through the warp gate. Walk to the end of the path and jump onto the glowing, floating platform. Ride it over to Haven Forest. Hop on your Jet Board and ride off into the forest. It's time to hunt some Metal Heads. You have to hunt down five new Metal Heads. The location of each Metal Head is on the map in the options ring. These Pterodactyl Metal Heads are fast, so you will have to chase them on your new Jet Board. Each Pterodactyl flies in a set path, so all you need to do is chase after them until you hit them with your Jet Board. One hit and they'll go down. The best thing to do is to cut as many corners as you can, without going past the Pterodactyl. The Jet Board is slightly faster than the Pterodactyls, so you shouldn't have too much trouble. After all five are dead, head back to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Intercept Tanker: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hop in a zoomer and follow the red, skull-shaped symbol on your map. It will lead you to the bazaar. Watch the scene, then get ready for a fight. Metal heads will swarm the area, so take out your Vulcan and start pumping them full of lead. When you run out of Vulcan ammo, use your blaster and chain a few aerial rapid fire combos. If you have Dark Jak, now is a good time to use it. If not, just keep your distance and keep blasting away until they're all dead. This mission shouldn't give you too much trouble as long as you don't get too close and don't let them surround you. When all the Metal Heads are dead, watch the scene that follows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Escort Kid To Power Station: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hop in a zoomer and head back to Torn's hideout. The shadow has a new mission for you. After the scene, get ready for a battle. Fill up on ammo and keep your finger on the trigger because things are going to get hectic and fast. The first part of the mission is pretty hard but if you're cautious you can eliminate a lot of the frustration. Basically, you are escorting Kid to a hovercar pretty close by. However, the KG are alerted to your presence and they will come out of every nook and cranny to kill you and Kid. It's best to stay in ahead of Kid at the beginning because the KG can only came at you from the front. Kill the KG as the come at you until you reach the first wooden bridge. Keep an eye on the map, so that none of the KG sneak up on you. Wait for Kid to cross the bridge and as close to him as you can. Now, this is where it gets tricky and hectic. You have to make you sure you kill both the KG in front of you as well as any KG that sneak up behind you. Stay close to Kid and keep a close eye on the map. If any KG get too close, blast em. You will fail the mission if the KG surround Kid, so kill the KG in front of you first. It takes a little practice but you will eventually reach the car. Hop in and start driving towards Vin's place. Now comes the easy part. The KG are pushovers at this point. Simply mow them over and make your way to the glowing circle. When you get there, wait for Kid to get out and then hop out of the hovercar. You are very close to your goal but don't get cocky. It is very easy to come this far and then fail at the last second. KG will be on your tail as soon as you get out of the car and they will come from behind as well as in front of you. Stay close to kid and toast the first few KG that follow you from behind. As you climb the ramp to Vin's place, take out any KG that come from the front but be mindful of those behind because they can sneak up on you without warning. As long as you're cautious, you should be able to complete the mission without too much hassle. Watch the scene that follows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destroy Equipment At Dig: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head back outside and grab a zoomer. Follow the red symbol on the map to a transport ship. Press triangle to ride the ship to the dig site. At the dig site, walk over to the elevator and ride it to the bottom. Jump out and start walking down the path. Jump up onto the rocky platform and continue down the path. Take out the two KG and continue forward. Two more KG will be waiting for you, shooting grenades. Kill them from a distance with your blaster and continue forward. This mission will be a lot easier if you take out all the KG in the area, so go around killing KG until there's nobody left alive. This can get a little hectic, so keep on your toes. The KG will keep shooting grenades at you, so keep moving and shooting. Make sure you check everywhere. The KG are stationed in many places above and below, so stay on guard. Eventually, they will all go down. If you're having trouble taking out all the KG, you can attempt the main mission without killing all of the KG. You'll just to be careful of all their grenades. The main mission here is to take out the drill's support cables so that the drill will collapse and explode. You can do this by grinding over the cables with your Jet Board. There are six cables on the lower level and the rest are up on the second level. If all of the KG are dead, it's easy to take out the cables. If not, then kill the KG on the first floor and take out the cables there. Then, head to the second floor and take out the KG and the cables as you go. It takes a bit of trial and error but you should be able to take out all the cables in no time. After the drill is destroyed, return to the transport and fly back to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blow Up Strip Mine Eco Wells: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you are back in the city, return to Vin's place for a new mission. After the scene, quickly get on your Jet Board. You now have two minutes to blow up 6 eco wells. Prepare to get frustrated. Ok, so start the mission by riding up the hill to your left. Turn left and cross the narrow bridge to the first eco well. In order for Jak to place the bomb, you need to hit the center of the ramp and press x near the top of the ramp. It takes some practice to get it right but you should get used to it eventually. After the first eco well, ride across the three narrow bridges to the second eco well. Plant the next bomb. After you land, take an immediate right and ride up the hill. Turn right and you will see the third eco well. Plant the bomb. After you land, ride forward and down the ramp. Turn right and you will see the fourth eco well. Plant the next bomb. Ok, now the easy part is over. After you land, ride forward until you reach one of the supports for the moving crates. Ride up the support and drop down onto one of the crates. Jump off the crate to reach solid ground and ride forward. You should see the fifth eco well in front of you. Plant the next bomb. After you land, head left and grind across the rail. Drop to the ground and take a sharp right turn. You should see a narrow path on your right. Take it and follow it to the end. There are many hazards on the path to avoid. At the end of the path, you will have to jump across a moving platform. Be careful because it would suck to come so far and fail now. The final eco well is right in front of you. Plant the bomb and the mission is over. Two minutes isn't a lot to blow up all of these wells. You will have to be quick and you will have little room for error. If you don't have at least 40 second after the fifth eco well then you won't make it. However, if you plant each bomb on the first try then you shouldn't have too much trouble completing the mission. When you've completed the mission, return to the warp gate and jump through. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destroy Ship At Drill Platform: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, jump back through the warp gate. Walk over to the gun pod on the left and hop in. You will now have to fight a bunch of KG in jet packs. Kill as many as you can from a distance before they can get close and swarm you. Try to lose as little health as possible for the first part. Kill the hover guards as they come and you will eventually get to a point where your gun pod will stop. You will now have to kill 40 hover guards. They will come in waves of 3 or 5 and they will try to surround you and pepper you with gunfire. Kill them as they come to thin their numbers before they get close. They usually group together as they come, making them an easy target. Keep whittling them down and peppering them with bullets until they're all dead. The gun pod will ride to the end of the rails and you will automatically get out. There is a swarm of buzz saws waiting for you here. Take them out with your blaster and hop in the next gun pod. Now you are tasked with destroying nine guns on a large ship. The guns will come out one by one and spray bullets in your direction. The best thing to do is focus your fire on the gun and you will destroy it before it can damage you. Every so often a hover guard will appear. Wait until they get close and then take them out. Otherwise, focus your attention on destroying the guns. You shouldn't have too much trouble with the ship as long as you focus on the guns and not the hover guard. At the end of the rail, you will automatically get out of the gun pod. Jump to the next platform and turn left. Walk to the end of the platform and turn left again. Jump to the next platform and climb the steps to the next gun pod. Hop in and start the third phase of the mission. This phase is almost exactly the same as the last one. You have to destroy the guns on the ship but this time you have twelve guns to destroy. If you passed the last phase, you shouldn't have too much trouble with this. Just focus on the guns like last time and wait for the hover guard to get close before killing them. Once all the guns are destroyed, the ship will go down. At the end of the rail, you will automatically get out of your gun pod. Jump through the warp gate and return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Get Seal Piece At Dig: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grab a zoomer and return to Onin's tent. Watch the scene, then head back outside. Return to the transport and ride it back to the dig site. Ride the elevator to the bottom and walk down the path. Jump up to the rocky platform above and continue down the path. As you continue forward, you will be assaulted by a pack of scorpions. Take them out with your blaster and push on forward. Take out two more Metal Heads and walk to the end of the wooden walkway. Hop on your Jet Board and grind across the metal pole to reach the next path. Get off your Jet Board and walk down the path, taking out more scorpions as you go. In order to reach the next area, you will have to press 5 switches scattered across the area. I will lead you to each switch as best I can. When you reach the fork in the path, continue forward and take out two more Metal Heads. At the end of the path there is a switch. Dive attack the switch to activate it. Turn right and jump onto the wooden platform. Turn right again and walk to the end of the platform. Ahead of you is a rotating wooden platform. Wait for it to stop rotating and jump onto it. Jump to the next platform and turn left. Take out the Slinger with your Vulcan, jump the gap to the next platform, and dive attack the switch. Turn around and jump back to the last platform. Jump the next gap and turn left. Wait for the wooden platform to stop rotating and jump onto it. Jump the gap to the next platform and walk forward. Continue forward until you reach an intersection. Take out the Slinger and the other Metal Head on the left and then take the right path. At the end of the path you will reach a narrow metal walkway. The walkway is broken up into four sections. What you have to do here is use your dive attack to lower each section of the walkway so that you can reach the path below. However, the walkway will collapse if you lower a section too many times. You will have to lower one section at a time until you can enter the cave below. Dive attack the switch. Walk forward and you will see two platforms surrounded by lava. Jump onto the platform in front of you and turn left. Jump to the next platform and then jump the gap to the sandbar. Walk to the end of the sandbar and dive attack the next switch. Turn left and jump onto the raised platform. Turn right and jump up to the platform above. Turn right again and you will be back at the intersection. Take the left path this time and walk to the end. Jump onto the raised platform on the right and then jump up to the platform above. Hop onto your Jet Board and grind across the rail. Get off your Jet Board and walk to the end of the platform. Turn left and walk to the end of the platform. Jump down to the sandbar below and take out the armada of scorpions that assault you. Walk forward and enter the small room at the back of the sandbar. Dive attack the final switch. Turn around and leave the room. Walk forward and head down the narrow path under the wooden platform. Walk to the end of the path and climb the series of platforms to return to the wooden platform with the grind rail. Grind across the rail again and turn left. Jump up to the wooden platform above you and walk to the edge of the platform. In front of you, you will see a balloon moving back and forth. Underneath the balloon is a trapeze, swinging back and forth. Wait for the balloon to move towards you and the trapeze to swing away from you, then jump to the trapeze. Ride the trapeze to the sandbar on the other side of the lava. Walk forward and kill the scorpions. Walk to the raised platform on the right and jump onto it. Turn left and jump up to the next platform. Take out the four Metal Heads and walk to the end of the platform. Jump to the wooden platform and turn right. Jump up to the platform above and walk to the end of the path. In front of you are two platforms floating in a pool of lava. These platforms aren't stable. If you step on one of them, it will start to sink into the lava. Use the platforms to cross the lava, making sure to keep jumping to avoid sinking into the lava. Kill the scorpions on the next platform and turn left. Walk to the end of the platform and wait for the trapeze to move towards you. Jump onto the trapeze and ride it across the lava. On the next platform, turn right and wait for the next trapeze to move towards you. Jump onto the trapeze and ride it across the lava. Once you reach the other side, turn left and walk to the end of the path. Turn and walk forward. Wait for the log to stop rotating and jump onto it. Jump up to the platform above and turn right. In front of you is a rotating wheel with sticking out of it. Wait for one of the platforms to move towards you and jump on. Ride the platform to the other side of the wheel and jump to the wooden walkway. Make a sharp left turn and you will see another wheel on the other side. Take out the Slinger with your Vulcan and wait for one of the platforms to move towards you. Ride it to the other side of the wheel and jump onto the wooden walkway. Turn right and will see a narrow part of the walkway. Every so often, a spike boulder will roll down the walkway. Wait for the next boulder to roll by and start running down the narrow walkway. Near the end of the walkway, jump diagonally to the right to reach the next part of the wooden walkway and avoid the next spiked boulder. Turn left and wait for the next spiked boulder to roll by. Walk to the end of the platform. A smaller spiked boulder will be chucked out of the wall on the right every few seconds. Wait for the boulder to go by and then jump the gap to the next platform. Walk forward for a scene. After the scene jump up to the platform in front of you and then jump up to the platform to the left of the totem pole. Follow the wooden path to reach a warp gate. Jump through the gate and you will be back at Vin's place. Return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destroy 5 Hellcat Cruisers: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grab a zoomer and head back to Torn's hideout for your next mission. After the scene head back outside. Make sure to smash the nearby KG crates to fill up on ammo. Hop in a durable hover car and get ready for a fight. Your mission is to destroy 5 hellcat cruisers (the large KG ships with dual guns). This won't be an easy task because, once you start attacking a cruiser, the KG will be chasing after you like no tomorrow. Start the mission off in the high zone and fly close behind one of the cruisers. Take out your Vulcan and get in a few well placed shots before the cruiser begins to flee. It's best not to waste your shots when attacking a cruiser. You have a limited amount of ammo and it is wise to save it for other cruisers. Chase after the cruiser and continue to pepper it with a few shots here and there. It won't be long before the cruiser goes down. Make sure you change cars after you destroy each cruiser because your car will get pretty beat up. Switch to the low hover zone and head over to the next cruiser. It's easier to travel in the low hover zone and easier to avoid the gunfire of the KG. Take out the rest of the cruisers in the same way. Sneak up behind them and pepper them with bullets until they blow up, change cars, then switch to the low hover zone and fly to the next cruiser. As long as you keep up this pattern and stay on your toes you should be able to complete this mission without too much trouble. It does get hectic at times and takes a little practice but you should be able to get it eventually. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destroy Cargo In Port: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the last cruiser is destroyed, head to the port to complete a mission for Krew. There are 16 listening devices scattered around the port and it's your job to destroy them. Hop on your Jet Board and head to the right side of the port. Placed around each listening device are multiple bombs. They will explode a few seconds after you hit them, so be careful. Head towards one of the devices, dodge the bombs and run over the device with your Jet Board. After you destroy the first listening device, a timer will start. You will have two minutes and fifteen seconds to destroy all of the listening devices. Start with the devices on the right side of the port and make your way to the left side. Try not to take out each device on your first try in order to save time. After all of the devices in the main port are taken care of, head underneath the bridge and take out the last five devices. Two are underneath the bridge, one is on the left side of the bridge, and the other two are on the right side. The first three shouldn't give you too much trouble. By this time you should have at least 35 seconds left. If not, then restart the mission because you won't have enough time to take out the last two devices. The last two devices shouldn't give you too much trouble as long as you have enough time. The second to last device has only two bombs so it should be easy enough to destroy but the last device is surrounded by a ton of bombs. As long as you are cautious, you should be able to take it out in time but a mistake could cost you the mission. Overall, this mission isn't too hard. You have more than enough time and the bombs shouldn't give you too much trouble. When you finish the mission, head over to the Hip Hog for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rescue Lurkers For Brutter: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Finally, an easy mission for once. After the scene, head outside and hop in a durable hover car. It's time to rescue some lurkers. Now, if you've ever played the first game you probably don't have many fond memories of lurkers. These purple monsters did everything they could to destroy you. Now, however, it is your job to free lurkers from slavery. Pretty weird, I know. There are three lurkers scattered around the city. These lurkers are trapped in cages attached to the back of cars. You will have to shoot down each car and transport each lurker to Brutter, who will bring them to a new home. Find the first car and take out your blaster. Get behind the car and shoot it until it crashes. Drop into the low hover zone and wait for the lurker to hop on the back of your car. Stay in the low hover zone and follow the symbol on the map to reach Brutter's place. Drop off the lurker and then head back out to find the next lurker. Rescue the next two lurkers in the same fashion. Take out the cage cars, pick up the lurkers, and bring them to Brutter. It's a pretty easy affair. The KG won't give you much trouble and Brutter's place is really close by. Watch the scene after you finish the mission and then head back to the Hip Hog for a new mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Drain Sewers To Find Statue: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, head back to the sewers. It's time for a very fun mission. Ride the elevator to the bottom and walk to the end of the hallway. Turn right and walk to the end of the next hallway. Hop on your Jet Board, turn right, and ride across the water to reach a mesh ramp. Ride down the narrow, twisting path to the end. Try not to go too slow or you will fall off the path. At the end of the path, ride across the water to reach a platform with a valve. Get off your Jet Board and punch the valve to lower the water a bit. Hop back on your Jet Board and jump down to the water below. Ride down the next path and you will have to dodge several hazards. Jump over the mines and avoid the spinning blades. It shouldn't be too hard. At the end of the path is another valve. Punch the valve to lower the water again. Turn around and ride back down the path. Avoid the spinning blades that pop out of the water and hop over some more mines. The second half of the path has spinning blades that you have to jump over and few more mines. There is a third valve at the end of the path. Punch it to lower the water one final time. Turn around and tide back down the path. Most of the hazards have been eliminated at this point. The spinning blades are gone and most of the mines have exploded. Ride to the end of the path and watch the scene. After the scene, walk to the right of the statue and climb the steps to the top. Drop down to the floor below and walk to the end of the path. Jump onto the elevator on the right and ride it to the top. Turn left and jump to the platform in front of you. Turn right and jump the gap to the hallway. Walk to the end of the hallway and turn left. Walk to the end of the hallway and ride the elevator to the top. Return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Get Seal Piece At Water Slums: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As soon as you leave the sewers, Brutter will contact you. It seams that he found something shiny and he's giving it to you to thank you for rescuing lurkers. Grab a zoomer and head to the water slums. Follow the symbol on the map to reach the second seal peace. Watch the scene and get ready for a fight. As soon as you get the seal piece, KG will swarm in on drop ships. These ships are big enough to hold a dozen or more KG. Walk down the path towards the first drop ship but don't get too close. Each drop ship has a gun attached that can home in on you with laser-targeting. Maintain your distance and take out your blaster. Shoot each KG as they drop from the ship. Don't worry about ammo. Each KG will drop ammo as they die. Once all the KG are dead, the ship will leave. Walk down the path until you reach an intersection. A drop ship will appear in front of you as well as down the path to your left. Focus on the KG in front of you but keep an eye out for the KG coming from the left. Watch out for their gunfire and keep shooting and doing aerial rapid fire combos until both swarms of KG are gone. Turn left and head down the path. Walk to the end of the wooden walkway and turn right. There is another drop ship waiting for you here, so take them out one by one until the drop ship leaves. Make sure you pay attention to your map so that KG don't sneak up on you from behind. Walk forward and you will see a drop ship down the path to the let. Take out the swarm of KG and take the path on the right. At this point, KG will come from a drop ship in front of you and a drop ship behind you. Shoot the KG in front of you first but watch out for the gunfire behind you. Use aerial rapid fire combos to get the ones in front and behind at the same time. When the swarm clears and the drop ship in front of you leaves, continue forward. Walk to end of the walkway. You will see KG dropping from a ship across the way. KG will also appear to your right and behind you. Focus on the KG across the way first because they can blindside you easily. Pay attention to your map and don't let any of the KG get near you. Don't worry too much about the KG behind you because they don't stop coming. As soon as you take out the KG across the way and the KG on the right, turn right and run down the walkway. Continue forward until a house appears on your left. Use the house to shield you from the KG behind you. Now, this is where things really get hectic. Take out your Vulcan and pray. It's best if you have full health at this point because it'll help you immensely. You are now on the final stretch. Continue down the path and drop ship will appear in front of you. Take out the KG and continue forward. At the next intersection, two or three drop ships worth of soldiers will come at you. They all come at you from one direction, so just go Rambo on their asses with the Vulcan. Make sure you keep an eye on the map so nobody sneaks up behind you. When they are all dead and the drop ships leave, take a right and continue down the path. This is where rational thought is abandoned. Countless drop ships will appear in front and behind you and KG will surround you. They really want you dead at this point and they can get really annoying. At this point, the best thing to do is go Rambo. Don't take your finger of the trigger and keep firing in all directions. Spin around to get the KG behind you and to your left but continue to make your way forward. Make sure you wait for each drop ship to leave before you continue forward or you will be shot. Keep pushing forwards and you will eventually make it to the glowing circle on the other side of the water slums. It takes a lot of practice and a bit of luck but you will get it eventually. A lot of it is learning how to dodge gunfire from multiple Krimson Guards and using your Vulcan effectively. Your Vulcan is invaluable in this mission, so use it wisely. Once you finally reach the other side of the slums, grab a zoomer and head over to the race garage for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Win Class 3 Race At Stadium: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, follow the checkered flag symbol on your map over to the racetrack. Hop onto the glowing zoomer and get ready for a race. The race is pretty simple. You will have to race around the track for five laps and finish in first place in order to complete the mission. Along the track are purple orbs. These are turbo boosts and will help immensely during the race. Racing zoomers control almost the same as regular zoomers. The only difference is that you can use R1 or L1 to jump and you can press circle to use a turbo boost (once you've collected one). Use everything at your disposal to win. Collect as many turbo boosts as you can but only use them when the track is straight or you'll be wasting your turbo. Take the inside of turns in order to pass the other racers. Also, there is a short cut you can take. When you reach the first pit and the track goes to the right, jump and use your turbo to get to the other side of the pit and get in the lead. As long as you race strategically, the race shouldn't give you too much trouble. After the scene, head back to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hunt Haven Forest Metal Heads: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head back to the Hip Hog for you next mission. After the scene, follow the mountain symbol on your map back to No Man's Canyon. Jump through the warp gate, follow the path to the end, and hop onto the floating platform to return to Haven Forest. Your mission is to kill the 30 Metal Heads that are roaming around Haven Forest. The only problem is that they are Combat Metal Heads and have a cloaking device that turns them invisible. In order to find them all, you will have to use your map and look for their faint outline amidst the foliage. You can also wait for their gunfire and trace it back to the Metal Head. The weapon of choice here should be your blaster. Take it out and drop down to the ground below. Look around for Metal Heads and avoid as much gunfire as you can. In this first section there are 10 Metal Heads. Take cover behind trees and take out the Metal Heads until all 10 are dead. Now, walk to the top of the grassy hill on the right side of the area and walk through the narrow tunnel. There are quite a few Metal Heads in this area. There should be a Frog type Metal Head in front of you in addition to three cloaked Crabs. Take out the Crabs from a distance and continue forward. Take out all the Metal Heads in this area. They are pretty close together, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding them. Pull up your map if you have to. When all of the Metal Heads nearby are dead, you should have about 10 left. The rest of the Metal Heads are spread out in the grassy area below the wooden bridges. Jump down and take out all of the Frogs. There should be three Metal Heads left at this point. Hop on your Jet Board and ride to the large grassy platform on the other side of the lake. There are three more Crabs here. Take them out and the mission will be complete. All in all, this isn't the hardest mission you've done so far. You just need to stay alert and remain cautious at all times. Cloaked Metal Heads can appear out of nowhere, so move slow. Take out one at a time. As long as you do this, you should be fine. Return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beat Onin Game: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head back to Onin's hut for your next mission. After the scene, you will have to complete a fun mini-game in order to get the last seal piece. You will have to press the correct buttons in order to get points. Your goal is to reach 400 points which is pretty easy. You are allowed to miss 20 symbols but any more than that and you will fail the game. The symbols will appear slowly at first but the speed will ramp up quickly. It's not too hard, though. As long as you know the layout of the buttons, it shouldn't be too hard. A keen eye helps too. When you have completed the mission, watch the scene and head outside the tent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Use Items In No Man's Canyon: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Remember those three artifacts you found in No Man's Canyon way back when? Well, now it's time to use them. Head back to No Man's Canyon and jump through the warp gate. Walk down the path and turn right. Shoot the platform and jump to it. Jump to the platform ahead and ride the elevator down to the bottom. Kill the Metal Heads and walk to the glowing circle for a scene. Walk down the new path and jump down to the ground below. Turn right and walk down the path until you reach the pit. Hop on your Jet Board and use the pipes to grind across the pit. Get off your Jet Board and walk forward. Drop down to the ground below and turn left. Follow the path to the end and watch the scene that follows. After the scene, walk back down the path. When you reach the circular door, don't go back the way you came. Instead, continue down the path until you reach a large pit. Turn left and you should see the warp gate. Use your long jump to cross the pit and return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pass The First Test Of Manhood: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Follow the skull symbol on the map to reach Mar's Tomb. Put on your Fedora. It's time to raid a tomb. Head inside and ride the elevator to the bottom. Walk forward for a scene. After the scene, walk down the long staircase and walk forward. Take out the lizards and hop on your jet board. Ride forwards until you see two platforms sticking out of the water. Get off your Jet Board and turn left. Walk forwards and go through the door. Walk down the path and kill the spiders. Turn left and walk forward until you reach a series of platforms surrounded by dark eco. Every few seconds, spikes will protrude from the platforms and then retract again. Wait for the spikes to retract on the first platform and then jump to it. Jump to the next platform and hang from the edge until the spikes recede. Make your way across the platforms until you reach the safe platform on the other side of the room. Turn right. Jump to the pole and start swinging. Wait until you reach the top of your swing and jump to the platform above. Kill the two spiders and walk forward. Turn right and walk to the end of the platform. This part can get a little frustrating but its not too much trouble as long as you remain patient. Wait for the pole to lower and jump onto it. Ride it to the top and jump to the moving stone block. Make sure you jump near the top of your swing or you will fall to the dark eco below. If you don't make it to the block, you can always double jump to it. Walk to the end of the platform and wait for the pole to move towards you. Jump to it and wait for the pole to move to the right. Jump to the next platform and ride the elevator to the bottom. Walk forward step on the switch. This will cause the spiked platforms to rise and start moving left and right. The spikes will permanently recede into the platform. Wait for the first platform to move towards you and jump onto it. Cross the series of platforms to the other side of the room and turn left. Wait for the pole to lower and then jump to it. Ride the pole to the top and jump to the next pole. Ride it to the top and jump to the platform. Walk forward and turn left. Walk to the end of the platform and wait for the pole to move towards you. Jump to it and ride it to the left. Jump to the next pole and ride that to the left. Jump to the next platform. Walk forwards and turn left. Walk forwad and step on the switch to lower the pool of dark eco and create a staircase downward. Walk forward and ride the elevator to the bottom. Jump the gap to the platform and descend the staircase. Kill all of the spiders and walk forward for a scene. ============ Daxter Time: ============ After the scene you will be playing as Daxter for the first time. If you've ever played Crash Bandicoot (One of Naughty Dog's earlier IP's), this part is a tribute to that game. For this next part, you will have to control Daxter as he runs from a giant boulder. He controls pretty much the same as Jak. He can punch, spin attack, and double jump. That's pretty much all you'll need for this part. Race down the path, double-jumping over the pits and jump through the stone gate. A scene will take over. After the scene, you will be running from a giant spider. Continue down the path. Jump over the pits and do your best to evade the spiders. (Attacking the spiders will slow you down and you need all the speed you can get). When you reach the platforms, use them to get across the pit. Try not to double jump because the giant spider will catch up to you. When you reach the end of the path, you will find yourself in a vertical shaft. Use the spider webs as trampolines to reach the walkway above. Run around the walkway to the next trampoline. Use it to reach the next walkway and then run around to the next trampoline. Use the next two trampolines to reach the top of the vertical shaft and onto the next path. Continue down the path until a scene takes over. ========= Jak Time: ========= Now you are in control of Jak again. Walk forward and jump to the platform on the left. Jump to the next platform and then jump the gap to the platform against the wall. Turn right and then jump to the platform above. Turn right again. Wait for the pole to lower and then jump onto it. Ride the pole to the top and then jump to the moving stone block. Quickly jump to the next pole and ride it to the top. Jump to the platform above. Wait for the pole to lower and then jump onto it. Ride it to the top and then jump to the next pole. Ride it to the right and then jump to a third pole. Ride the pole to the right and jump to the moving stone block. Walk towards the wall and jump to the platform above. Turn left and walk forwards. Jump to the platform above and then jump up to the next platform. Turn left and walk to the edge of the platform. Turn right and walk forward. Wait for the pole to move towards you and jump on. Ride it to the left and jump to the moving stone block. Quickly jump to the next block and then jump to the next pole. Ride it to the left and jump to the next block. Walk forward to reach the next path. Walk to the end and step on the switch. Watch the scene that follows. Congratulations! You have beaten the first test of manhood. Take a break. You earned it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pass The Second Test Of Manhood: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walk forward and step onto the floating platform. Ride it to the pool of water. Hop onto your Jet Board and ride to the two platforms emerging from the water. This time, turn right, get off your Jet Board, and walk forwards. Walk through the door and begin the second test. This test is interesting. It is somewhat easier but it is more a test of brain than of brawn. Walk forward and climb the series of platforms to the top. Jump the gap and go through the next door. In this next room, your memory will be challenged. Step on the switch and beetles will drop into the room. Three of them will fall on their backs. These three beetles will then turn over. It is your task to find each beetle and punch it. If you hit the right beetle, it will fly over to the door. If not, you will get hurt. When you hit all three correct beetles, the door will open. Walk through the door and walk forward. In front of you is a pool of water. Every few seconds the top of the pool will be electrified. Wait for the electricity to vanish and jump into the pool. Hold circle to submerge and then swim underneath the metal gate. Stay submerged because the electricity will return soon and you are safe underwater. Wait for the electricity to vanish and return to the surface. Jump up to the path above and continue down the path. Kill more spiders and cross another electrified pool. Walk to the end of the path and step on the switch. Now here is an interesting puzzle. A path of colored tiles will appear but you can only step on a few of them. Wait for one of the tiles to glow and then jump onto it. Use the glowing tiles to reach the next platform. Step on the next switch. Use the glowing platforms once more to reach the next path. Walk down the path, killing spiders as you go and then cross the electrified pool. Walk into the next room. Step onto the switch and you will have to punch three more beetles to open the door. Go through the door and walk forward. Cross another electrified pool and walk to the end of the path. Step on the switch and use the glowing tiles to reach the next platform. Step on the next switch and use the tiles to reach a third platform. Step on the third switch and use the tiles to reach the next path. Walk down the path and cross the next electrified pool. Continue down the path, killing more spiders as you go. In the next room you will have a fun puzzle. If you hit a gravestone, it will play a tune. This puzzle is like a game of memory. Each gravestone has a matching gravestone. Memorize the tune and then find the gravestone's match. Then punch both of the gravestones in order to lower them. Once all of the gravestones are lowered, the door will open. Walk through the door and step on the switch to open the door. Jump on the floating platform and ride it back to the pool of water. Go through the door for a scene. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Defeat Baron In Mar's Tomb: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Man I hate that baron. You do all the work for him and he comes in and tries to take the Precursor Stone from you. It's time to teach him a lesson. =========== Boss Fight: =========== ++++++++++++++++++++ Baron Praxis: Part 2 ++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 1: Robot Spiders ++++++++++++++++++++++ For the first stage, the baron will shoot out electrified spider robots. If they touch you, they will take away two pieces of health. Take out your scatter gun and blast them. When all of the robots are dead, the baron will shoot out bombs. Use these to damage the baron. Get behind a bomb and line it up with the baron. Punch it and the bomb will take out 1/12 of his health. It takes a little practice but you'll get used to it. Hit the baron with four bombs and stage 2 will start. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 2: Machine Guns And Robot Spiders +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ For stage 2, the baron will start by sending out robot spiders. Then he will fly over to your location and send a barrage of machine gun fire your way. Hide behind the pillars to avoid the machine guns and take out the spiders. When the spiders are gone, the baron will return to the Precursor Stone and shoot out some more bombs. Hit him with four more bombs to begin stage 3 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 3: Precursor Stone And Machine Guns +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ For the last stage, the baron will have the Precursor Stone and things will get hectic. The first two stages are pretty easy. This is where it gets hard. The baron will use the Precursor Stone to take out part of the floor. This means you will have less room to stand. As he uses the stone, he will send out two (and only two) bombs. You will have to get to one of the bombs and hit him before he uses the Stone. If not, he will fly by you and try to hit you with his machine guns. If you don't make it before he uses the Stone, there's still a slight chance to hit him. Double jump over the gunfire and head to one of the bombs. Wait for the baron to get close and hit him with the bomb. If you have any luck you will hit him before the bomb explodes. This stage can get really hectic with the gunfire and missing parts of the platform but if you practice and keep a level head you should be able to take out the baron in time. It's not the easiest mission, believe me, but it's not impossible. After the fight, watch the scene and then return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rescue Friends In Fortress: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head over to Torn's place for your next mission. Watch the scene and then head outside. Return to the baron's fortress. Walk inside and stock up on ammo. Get ready for a fight. Before we get started, I have to say that I hate this mission. It's nowhere near the hardest mission in the game but for some reason I die the most on this mission. Anyway, I bet you'll have better luck than I do. Take out your Vulcan, climb the steps to the right, and follow the path. You will reach a narrow zigzag walkway surrounded by Hover Guard and a new, yellow type of KG that can take more hits. Take out all of the Guard in this area. It may get hectic but your Vulcan deals massive damage. When they are all dead, head back to the beginning of the zigzag walkway. You may have noticed that there are four platforms separated from the walkway. There are switches on each of the platforms. Jump to each platform and dive attack the switch. Walk to the end of the walkway and walk into the next room. There is a fifth switch here in front of the electrified gate. Dive attack the switch to make the electricity go away. The next area has four turret guns constantly rotating. Whenever the laser sweeps by, jump over it to avoid getting shot. Use the four guns as platforms to cross the pit. (Yeah, the tops of the guns are really small and it sucks but you can make it past them with practice.) Wait for the last gun to sweep by and hop onto your Jet Board. Wait for an electric wave to go by and drop into the half-pipe. On the other side of the half-pipe, jump over an electric wave and drop back into the half-pipe. Use your momentum to bring you up to the ledge above. Get off your Jet Board. Here, there are two more turret guns. Jump over there lasers and wait for the lasers to move outwards. Hop back on your Jet Board and grind across the rail. For the next part, KG will shoot at you from above. Keep jumping to avoid their gunfire and keep moving until you are past them. Walk forward and take out three more Guard. Jump onto the platform the KG were on and hide behind the computers. Take out two Hover Guard and make your way around the corner. There are two more turret guns here. Wait for their lasers to move apart and jump down. Cross the narrow walkway and walk forward. Be careful because there is a hard-to-see pit right before the door. Jump over the pit and go through the door. Take out your scatter gun and take out robot spiders as you make your way to the next door. Walk through the door and walk forwards for a scene. After the scene, you will be at Vin's place. Walk back outside. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Win Class 2 Race At Stadium: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head back to the race garage for your next mission. After the scene, you will have to win another race. However, this time you will be racing as Daxter. There isn't that much difference from last race. Daxter is quite a bit lighter, so your zoomer will take more damage from each hit. You will also have to take turns sooner. Other than that, this race should be pretty familiar to you. Race around the track for 5 laps and place in first to complete the mission. There are two short-cuts in this race but you will only be able to take one each lap. The first is when you reach the first pit. You can turbo jump across to gain a huge advantage. The second short-cut is if you ignore the first pit and ride around the curve. You will get to the other side of the pit and you can turbo jump across to reach the next part of the track. I would advise using the first short-cut because it's easier. Also, try not to use the short-cut too often because the others will start to use it after a while. Save the short-cut for the last two laps and you should be fine. Watch the scene after you win and head back outside. Return to Torn's hideout for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Protect Hideout From Bomb Bots: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, head back outside. Stock up on ammo and get in a zoomer. Your mission is to take out three bomb bots before they reach the hideout. If you pull up your map, you will see that there are two in the red district and one over by the water slums. Ignore the last one and head over to the red district. Fly over to the closest bomb bot and take out your Vulcan. Jump out of the zoomer and get right underneath the bomb bot. The bomb bot can't shoot you as long as you stay underneath it. Pepper it with the Vulcan until you here a ticking sound. This means the bomb is about to go off. Quickly get away from the bomb bot before it explodes. That's one down. After you defeat the first bomb bot, the KG will start chasing after you. Don't pay them too much attention. Hop in a zoomer and head off to the second bomb bot in the red district. Take it out in the same manner. Jump out of your zoomer, get underneath, and shoot it with the Vulcan until it goes down. The KG will attempt to distract you from the bomb bot but as long as you keep moving, they shouldn't be able to give you too much trouble. That's two down. Grab another zoomer and fly over to the third bomb bot. Take it out the same way as the other bomb bots and the mission is over. This mission isn't too hard. You should be able to finish in a few tries. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Escort Men Through Sewers: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now it's time to head over to the Hip Hog for a new mission. After the scene, head back to the sewers and ride the elevator to the bottom. Your mission is to escort three of Krew's men through the sewers. Walk to the end of the hallway and ride the elevator to the bottom. Get in front and walk down the next hallway. You will see a new type of Metal Head here. These Spider Metal Heads will shoot out sweeper beams. Take them out with the Vulcan and continue to the end of the hall. In the next area, Spiders will crawl down the walls and attempt to surround you. Take them out with the Vulcan and take cover. One of Krew's men will blow up the barricade blocking the next hallway. Once it's gone, get in front and proceed down the next hallway. When you reach the narrow metal walkway, Spiders will come at you from in front and behind. Take out the ones behind you first and then take out the rest from a distance. When all four Spiders are dead, walk to the end of the path and ride the elevator to the bottom. Turn left and walk down the long hallway. When you get halfway, Spiders will attack from in front and behind. Take out all four Spiders and continue forward. At the end of the hallway, you will see three sweeping lasers around the corner. Jump over the lasers and take out the spiders from a distance. Walk to the end of the next hall and you will see three more sweeping lasers around the next corner. Jump over the lasers and take out the spiders. Follow the path some more until you reach another barricade. Walk over to the KG crates and stock up on ammo. Get ready for a fight. As soon as Krew's men blow up the barricade, an armada of Spiders will crawl down from the ceiling. Take out as many as you can with the Vulcan and use Dark Jak if you have it. Do your best to protect Krew's men but make sure you pay attention to your health as well. Keep shooting the Spiders and eventually they will stop coming. Follow Krew's men down the next path and watch the scene. Return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beat Errol In Race Challenge: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After you leave the sewers, grab a zoomer and head over to the gun course. You will finally receive a Peacemaker. The Peacemaker is pretty powerful but it has low ammo and takes a while to charge. The only real use for it is the final boss. It's a bit of a disappointment but the Vulcan more than makes up for it. Anyway, after you stock up on ammo, head over to the Hip Hog for a new mission. Watch the scene and head back outside. It's for a race. This race is pretty straightforward. Fly through all of the accelerator rings before Errol to win. Miss one ring and it's all over. When you're ready to start the race, hop in the zoomer next to Errol and begin. This isn't too hard but it takes practice to hit all of the rings. Once you have the course memorized, you should be able to blast past Errol and win without to much hassle. Errol shouldn't give you trouble. He's a pushover, really. The problem is following the course. If you can do that, then this mission is pretty easy. After the race, watch the scene and then head over to dead town for your next mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Get Life Seed From Dead Town: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On the way to dead town, Samos will contact you and ask you to retrieve something from his hut. Exit the city and walk forward. Walk to the end of the sandbar and jump to the next one. Turn left and jump to the next sandbar. Here you will see a Mobile Suit. This is the Titan Suit and you will need it to complete the mission. Hop inside the suit and press square to punch through the wall with the target. Take out the Metal Head and turn right. Punch through the next wall and take out two more Metal Heads. Turn left and punch through the next wall. Walk forwards and turn left. Get behind the stone block and hold R1 to grab it. Push the block against the wall and jump onto it. Jump up to the platform above and turn right. You will see a gunner at the end of the path. Get out of the Titan Suit and take out the gunner from a distance. Get back in the suit and walk to the end of the path. Break down the wall and turn right. Get on the other side of the block and turn around. Push the block against the low wall and then get out of the Titan Suit. Jump onto the stone block and then jump up to the narrow walkway above. Turn right and walk to the end of the walkway. Take out the gunner ahead and walk forward. Turn right at the end of the path and then walk forward. Take out the gunner around the next corner and turn left. Jump up to the low section of the wall and take out a third gunner. Now that all of the enemies are dead, return to the Titan Suit. Jump onto the stone block and then jump up to the narrow walkway. Turn right and walk to the end of the walkway. Turn right and walk to the stone block. Get on the right side of the block and turn left. Push the block against the lowered section of the wall. Jump onto the block and then onto the walkway. Turn right and walk to the end of the walkway. Turn right again and walk to the end of the walkway. Turn left and walk forward. Turn left again and punch the stone pillar to create a bridge. Walk across the bridge and walk forward. Pick up the small block and turn around. Walk back to the bridge you made and turn left. Throw the block at the pillar to create another bridge. Walk across the bridge and pick up the next block. Throw the block at the wall to break through it. Jump the gap to the next platform and turn left. Walk forward and punch the last pillar to make another bridge. Walk across the bridge and watch the scene. After the scene, return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Protect Samos In Haven Forest: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Return to Onin's tent and watch the next scene. After the scene, head back outside and go back to Haven Forest. Pull up your map and you will see a green dot. Head over there and watch the scene that follows. Now you will have protect young Samos from the KG as he speaks with the plants. This is pretty easy. Just take out your Vulcan and stay close to Samos. KG will come from both of the bridges, so stay in the middle and keep a watchful eye. Take out the Hover Guard first and then focus on the rest. Protect Samos as best you can but worry about your life bar too. Samos can take a lot more hits than you, so make sure you avoid gunfire. Once all of the KG are defeated, the drop ships will leave and a scene will take over. After the scene return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rescue Lurkers For Brutter: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head over to Brutter's place for another mission. After the scene hop in a durable zoomer and start freeing some lurkers. This mission plays out almost exactly like the previous one. This time you will have to free six lurkers and instead of taking them to Brutter you will have to bring them to a secret underground location. Just follow the green dot on your map and you will find it, no problem. This mission shouldn't give you much trouble. It's no harder than the last lurker mission and the underground base is pretty close by. When all of the lurkers are rescued, Brutter will contact you over the radio. Listen to what he has to say and then head over to Vin's place for another mission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destroy Eggs In Strip Mine: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, jump through the warp gate. It's time to toast some Metal Head eggs. This is a fun mission. Get on your Jet Board and ride forward until you reach a pool of dark eco. Turn right and start riding down the path. Your goal is to make it to the end of the path. There will be lots of hazards to avoid but it's relatively simple. Everything can be avoided with a little practice, although the moving platforms can be a pain. Just take your time and you will make it to the end in no time. After the scene, go back through the warp gate and walk forward. Another scene will take over. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destroy Drill Platform Tower: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, jump back through the warp gate and you will be back at the drill platform. It's time to use the Titan Suit again. Turn around and hop in the Suit. Break down the door and walk forward. Ride the elevator to the bottom. Walk forward and you will see lasers blocking the path. Wait for the first laser to stop firing and then walk forward. Wait for the next laser to stop and walk forward again. Wait for the third laser to stop and then quickly break down the door. Walk into the next room and walk across the metal walkway. Walk onto the square outlined in the floor. Jump out of the Suit and walk back across the metal walkway. Turn right and jump to the first platform. Jump to the next platform and then jump to the ledge above. Turn right and kill the Metal Heads. Walk down the path and hit the red switch to raise an elevator and the Titan Suit. Get back in the Suit and break down the door. Walk into the next room and turn right. Use the platforms to cross the gap and then turn left. Walk down the ramp and then wait for the fire to go out. Quickly walk to the end of the platform and jump to the next platform. Turn left and walk forward. Wait for the fire to recede and quickly walk across the two platforms. You may want to jump once you reach the second platform in order to avoid the fire. Walk into the next area and get out of the Titan Suit. Kill the two Metal Heads and shoot the red switch. Jump onto the new platform and then jump the gap to the next platform. Walk forward and jump the gap. Shoot the next red switch to create another platform. Return to the Titan Suit and get in. Jump onto the first new platform then jump to solid ground. Jump the gap and then jump to the second new platform. Jump the gap to solid ground. Jump over the fire and then walk forward. Turn left and head into the next room. Walk across the metal walkway, avoiding the lasers as you go. Jump the gap and walk to the end of the walkway. Jump the next gap and then jump to the platform above. In the next room there is a long metal walkway that emits fire every so often. Wait for the fire to recede and then walk to the middle of the walkway. Jump to the platform on the left and then jump to the next platform. Wait a second and then jump to the next section of metal walkway. If you time it right, the fire should recede just as you land (or shortly after). Walk to the end of the walkway and jump the gap to the next platform. Turn left and walk through the door. Ride the elevator to the top and take out all the Metal Heads. Now it's time to destroy stuff. Destroy all ten computers and a timer will start. This place will self-destruct, so hop out of the Titan Suit and backtrack all the way back to the warp gate. You have about a minute and a half to make it back. You can try using your Jet Board if you aren't fast enough. After you escape the explosion, watch the scene and then jump back through the warp gate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Win Class 1 Race In Stadium: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head outside and make your way back to the race garage for your next mission. After the scene, head over to the race arena. Hop on the glowing zoomer and get ready for the race of your life. This race isn't actually that hard. The track is easy enough, although you may get annoyed by all the dips in the track. From the very start of the race, turn right and take the short-cut to get first place right off the bat. There is another short-cut later on in the race if you want to take it but the first short-cut is the best. Other than that, just keep on your toes and do your best to avoid Errol. He's pretty ruthless in this race. As long as you do this you shouldn't have to much trouble with the race. It takes some practice but it's nowhere close to that last boss fight. After the race, watch the scene and return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Explore Palace: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now it's time to see how the other half live. Follow the symbol on your map to the baron's palace. Walk inside and ride the elevator to the top. Walk forward and turn left. Go through the two large doors and walk into the next room. Walk forward and watch the scene. After the scene, walk over to the right side of the room and you will find a small passage. Walk down the path and drop down to the ground below. Walk forward and you will see two poles. Use the poles to reach the next platform and turn right. Take out the guards from a distance with your Vulcan and use the three small platforms to get to the platform above. Be careful because the small platforms will collapse under your weight. Walk forward and use the next two small platforms to cross the gap. Continue forward and jump over the gunfire. Walk forward and take out all the KG from a distance with the Vulcan. Continue forward and then turn right. Walk to the edge of the platform and then turn left. Climb the steps and turn left again. Walk forward and then turn right. Walk forward again and take out your blaster. Shoot the window to break it and hop on your Jet Board. Grind along the bottom of the window to reach the platform on the other side. Turn right and walk forwards. Use the small platforms to cross the gap and walk forwards. Drop down into the next room and take cover behind the wall on the left. Wait for the gunfire to move to the right and then walk through the door. Turn left and walk to the end of the hall. The elevator is locked so turn left and walk forward. Grind across the rails to reach the next platform. Turn right and climb the steps. Take out the KG here. In the process, you will probably accidentally shoot the chandelier above. If not, shoot it down and then hop on your Jet Board. Grind around the ring to the platform on the other side and walk down the steps. Wait for the gunfire to move away from you and jump the gap. Jump over the gunfire and take out the KG in front of you. Take out the two KG on the platform in the distance and then continue forward. Use the small platforms to cross the gap and then turn right. Walk forward and shoot the glass. Continue forward and turn right. Walk forward and turn left. Walk to the edge of the platform and do a double jump into a spin attack to cross the gap. Turn right and use the small platforms to get to the elevator. Ride it to the bottom. Return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Get Heart Of Mar In Weapons Lab: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grab a zoomer and fly back to the transport. It will take you to the weapons lab. Get ready for a fight. Walk down the path until you reach the glowing circle. The door to the weapons lab will open, so walk inside. Walk forward and step on the circle outlined in the floor. This is an elevator. Ride it to the bottom and turn right. Walk forward and stock up on ammo. Walk into the next room and take out all the KG from a distance. Walk onto the conveyor belt and ride it to the end. Turn left and you will see a large button. Dive attack the button to open the way forwards. Turn right and head through the newly-opened gate. Walk down the path, killing more KG as you go, until you reach another conveyor belt. Shoot the red circle to make the belt move in the opposite direction and hop on. Before you reach the end of the belt, turn left and jump onto the platform there. Kill any KG nearby and walk forward. Jump up to the platform above and then walk forward. Walk over to the machine and a scene will take over. The machine will drop a few red, metal balls. This is a new type of enemy. You will have to shoot them a few times before the open up but after that, they'll go down with one hit. Take them out with the Vulcan and watch the scene. Turn right and take out the KG from a distance. Use the platforms to reach the other side of the green goo. Walk over to the crank in the middle of the platform. Jump and use your spin attack to rotate the small platforms. Use them to cross the goo and take out any KG in the area. Turn right and walk over to the elevator. Ride it to the top and turn around. Take out the KG here and walk forward. Walk to the end of the path and turn left. There is another conveyor belt here. In the middle of the conveyor belt are two moving robotic arms holding buzz saws. Jump onto the belt and stay on the right side. Keep jumping to move forward and jump over the robotic arms. When you get to the end of the belt, double jump to the next belt and turn left. Walk to the end of the belt and shoot the two targets to lower two platforms. Jump to the platforms and jump up to the platform above. Turn right and walk to the end of the path. Turn right and walk to the center of the conveyor belt. Shoot the target to lower the platform and walk to the end of the belt. Jump to the platform and walk into the next room. Take out all of the KG. Walk to the right side of the room and you will find yet another belt. Hit the red circle and walk onto the belt. At the end of the belt, jump to the platform. Turn left and walk to the end of the next belt. Shoot the red circle and then jump the gap to the next platform. The next belt is moving too fast, so shoot the targets to make two platforms. Jump to the first platform and then the second. From here, jump to the platform in front of you. Turn left. Walk to the end of the belt and shoot the red circle. Jump to the next belt and walk to the end. Jump up to the platform above and take out the ball bots. This will make the electricity surrounding a red circle vanish. Hit the red circle and walk over to the belt on the right side of the platform. Ride the belt to the end and take out the KG on the platform in the distance. Walk to the end of your platform and turn left. Use the platforms to cross the goo and take out the KG in the distance. When they are all dead, spin attack the switch to rotate the platforms. Turn left and use the platforms to reach the other side. Turn right and take out the KG in the distance. Hit the next switch and cross the platforms again. Hit the final switch and turn right. Cross the platforms and turn left. Walk forward and dive attack the square outlined in the floor. Walk down the path and stock up on ammo. It's time for a fight. Take out the Vulcan and walk down the conveyor belt. You will have three machines of ball bots to take care of. The trick here is to only take out one machine at a time. This way, they can't surround you. Take them out one by one and the door forward will open. Walk through the door and ride the elevator to the top. Walk forward and watch the scene. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beat Krew In Weapons Lab: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Krew has decided to terminate your employment: permanently. In order to stop this mad man, you will have to kill him. =========== Boss Fight: =========== +++++++++++++++++++ Krew: Crazy Fat Man +++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 1: Slow Clones ++++++++++++++++++++ Before you begin the fight, make sure you have full ammo. If not, stock up using the KG crates nearby. OK, Krew starts the fight by sending out a ton of small clones. If they hit you, they will take out 1 health bar. These clones are pretty slow, though, so you shouldn't worry too much. Take out your scatter gun and blast all of them. When they are all dead, Krew will fly in for an offensive attack. He will shoot four lasers at you and then stop for a minute. Dodge the lasers and then take out your blaster. Pepper him with bullets. Don't give him a chance to breathe and soon stage 2 will start. ++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 2: Faster Clones ++++++++++++++++++++++ For this stage, Krew's clones have gotten faster. They can be a bit of a hassle but there is a way to get the jump on them. Run around the inside of the circular platform and they won't be able to catch up. Continue to blast them with the scatter gun until they are all dead. If you need ammo, run over to a KG and stock up then go back to running around the inside of the platform. When they are all dead, Krew will attack again. Use the same strategy as last time. Dodge his lasers and then pepper him with the blaster until phase 3 starts. ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 3: Fastest Clones: ++++++++++++++++++++++++ For the last stage, the clones have gotten faster again. However, they still aren't fast enough to catch you if you run around the inside of the circular platform. Take out all of the clones and Krew will attack for the final time. Dodge the lasers and pepper him with bullets until he goes down. Watch the scene that follows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Complete The Metal Head Mash Game: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Head over to the Hip Hog for your next mission. As soon as you enter, head to the left and watch the scene. You will have to beat another mini game in order to complete this mission. This is basically a game of what a mole. Each hole corresponds with a button on the controller. This game isn't too hard to master. Each gray Metal Head is worth 20 points and each gold one is worth 50. Avoid the red Metal Heads altogether. You are allowed to miss only 20 Metal Heads before it's game over. This shouldn't give you too much trouble. A little practice and you will win. After you win the game, watch the scene then head outside. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Find Sig In Under Port: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grab a zoomer and follow the symbol on the map to reach the entrance to the under port. Walk inside and ride the elevator to the bottom. Walk forward and climb inside the Titan Suit. Water will fill the room. For this mission, you will have a meter to show how much air you have left. The glowing blue circles will refill your air meter. Walk into the next room and step into the blue circle. Avoid the floating metal ball in the room. That is a mine and will take out a lot of health. Break through the door and enter the next room. Make your way over to the blue circle and fill up on air. Two Squid Metal Heads will attack, so take them out. Fill up on air again and jump down into the square hole. Turn around and walk to the door. Break it down and walk into the next room. Walk over to the blue circle and fill up on air. Walk down the hallway and enter the next room. Walk around the mine to your right and then turn right. You will see the next blue circle guarded by two more Squids. Take them out and fill up on air. Walk forward into the next room and turn left. Walk forward and break through the next door. Walk to the blue circle and fill up on air. In this room are four platforms held down by metal devices. Punch each device to release each platform and return to the blue circle. On the far end of the room, you should be able to see a raised square platform. Walk over to it and jump on. It will raise you above the water. Jump from platform to platform to reach the other side of the water. Drop down into the square hole and break down the next door. Walk to the end of the bridge and step into the blue circle. Walk into the next room and turn right. Walk forward and head into the next room. Step into the blue circle. Jump onto the raised platform and ride it to the top. Jump to the next platform and ride it to the top. Jump the gap and walk into the blue circle. Walk forward and turn left. Walk into the next room and the water will recede. Get out of the Titan Suit. Go through the next door and turn right. Use your rolling long jump to cross the gap and watch the scene that follows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Escort Sig In Under Port: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Walk forward into the next room. Here you will have to complete a block puzzle. Get behind the block on the right and punch until it lands on the square indentation. Get on the right side of the other block and punch it to the left once. Get behind the block and punch it until it lands on the other square indention. If you do this quick enough, the door forward will open. Walk through the door and follow the path until a scene takes over. After the scene, you will have to run for your life from a giant Metal Head. There's no real strategy here. Just jump from platform to platform until you reach the long moving platform. Try not to double jump because that will slow you down. Run to the end of the platform and jump the gap. Jump over the electricity and run forward. A scene will take over. After the scene, walk to the thin end of the platform. Jump to the platform on the right and get behind the block. Punch it until it is lined up with the square indentation in the floor. Jump to the previous platform and use your blaster to shoot the block into the indentation. The door will now open. Jump the gap and walk into the next room. You will have to solve another block puzzle while Sig holds off the Metal Heads. Hit the left block forward (x3), right, forward (x2), and left. Hit the right block left (x3), forward (x5), and left. The door will open. Follow the path until a scene takes over. The centipede has returned. Run forward, ducking the first laser and jumping the next two. Shoot the platform and use it to reach the next platform. Hug the wall and jump across the moving platforms to the other side. Jump the gap to the next platform. Shoot the floating platform and hop on. Shoot the next platform and jump to it. Jump to solid ground and turn left. Jump to the long, floating platform and jump over the laser. Run to the end and jump the gap. Jump into the square hole. Dive attack the grate to drop down another floor. Cross the bridge and watch the next scene. After the scene, walk to the end of the path and ride the elevator to the top. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Defend Stadium: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grab a zoomer and head over to the wrench icon on the map. Watch the scene that follows. Your mission is to protect the two Samos's as they load the rift rider into the lurker balloon. For the first part, you will be assaulted by Scorpions in front and on your left. Take out your blaster and waste them. Next, shoot the Metal Head grunts as they come from behind and from the stadium steps. This next part gets a bit hectic. You will be assaulted on all sides by Metal Heads. Take out the closer Metal Heads first and then focus on the rest. Aerial rapid-fire combos work extremely well her. Dark Jak helps too. It gets easier after that last part. Now, enemies can only come at you from behind. Keep using aerial combos and shooting the Metal Heads and soon a scene will take over. You should be able to finish this mission with a little practice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Go To Oracle: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By now, you should have at least 200 Metal Head Skull Gems so it's time to pay the Oracle a visit. Grab a zoomer and fly to the Oracle's hut. The Oracle will make Dark Jak invincible. Head back outside. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Check Construction Site: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Follow the symbol on the map to the construction site and watch the scene. Many secrets are revealed here. After the scene, return to the city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Break Barrier At Nest: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now it's finally time to take the fight to the Metal Heads. Grab a zoomer and fly over to the transport. It will take you to the Metal Head Nest. Walk forward and you will see a circular platform on the right. Memorize its location. Continue forward and a new type of Metal Head will appear. Take out these Jumpers and follow the path as it curves to the left. Another new type of Metal Head will appear at the end of the path. Take out the Giant Spider and then spin attack the crank to raise the circular platform. Return to that platform and jump onto it. Jump up to the platform above and continue forward, taking out more Jumpers. Turn left and walk to the end of the path. Turn around and climb the steps. Turn around again and walk forward. Climb the next set of steps and kill another Giant Spider. Continue forward, taking out more Jumpers as you go. Walk down the narrow path on your left and watch the scene. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Attack The Metal Head Nest: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, continue down the path until you reach a large open area. Take out all the Jumpers and continue down the path. The path is large but it's pretty straightforward. Take out some more Jumpers and two more Giant Spiders. As you walk down the path, you will see a gigantic metal head. Avoid it at all cost. You can't kill it and it will electrify you, taking out a lot of your health bar. Walk around it and continue forward. An army of Giant Spiders will attack you. Take them out and continue down the path. Take out more Jumpers and walk around another Gigant. Continue forward and take out another army of Jumpers and Giant Spiders. Continue down the path and take out two more Jumpers. You will soon see a few pools of dark eco around the path. The path will narrow and a Gigant will be walking up and down it. Wait for the Gigant to start walking back down the path and follow it (but not too closely). Kill some more Giant Spiders and Jumpers and continue to follow the Gigant until the path widens. Walk over to the right side of the path and wait for the Gigant to pass you. Continue down the path. You will have to face a lot more Giant Spiders and Jumpers but they will all eventually fall. Jump up to the platform above and walk to the end of the path. Watch the scene that follows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Defeat Metal Kor At Nest: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the scene, get ready for a fight. =========== Boss Fight: =========== ++++++++++ Metal Kor: ++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 1: Scorpions and Laser Blasts +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ For the first part of the battle, Metal Kor only has two methods of attacking you. First, he will shoot laser beams out of his forehead. His forehead will glow before he attacks, so make sure you pay attention. You can avoid this attack by simply jumping over the laser. Second, Metal Kor will start the battle by laying a bunch of Scorpion eggs. Take them out with the blaster and then focus on Metal Kor. Shoot him a few times and then kill some more Scorpions. After the first wave of Scorpions, Metal Kor only lays three or four eggs, so they shouldn't give you too much trouble. Pepper Metal Kor with bullets until Metal Kor's body hangs limply. Now it's time for stage 2. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 2: Dual Laser Blasts, Hover Metal Heads, and Scorpions: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This is the stage where things start getting hectic. From the start of the battle, Metal Kor will send out Hover Metal Heads and Scorpions. Take out the Hovers first and then focus on the Scorpions. Aerial rapid-fire combos work extremely well here because you damage Metal Kor and the rest of the Metal Heads at the same time. Metal Kor will now fire two laser beams, one after another. Keep jumping to avoid them but don't double jump or you will be hit in midair by the second blast. Like last stage, the second wave of Metal Heads is much less than the first wave. Take out the first wave of Metal Heads and then focus on Metal Kor. Lower his health bar halfway and then take out any Metal Heads nearby. Return your attention to Metal Kor and pepper him with bullets until a scene takes over. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Stage 3: Metal Kor's Final Assault: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This stage is actually the easiest stage so far. Metal Kor has detached himself from the ceiling and will now attack you head on. However, he's slow as hell. Metal Kor has a few new attacks up his sleeve. First, if he moves towards you, he will either try to swipe at you with his hand or stab you with his tail. Both attacks are easily avoided by running away. Since he stops moving towards you when he's about to attack, it's pretty easy to run away. Second, if he backs away from you, he will do one of two things. If he crouches low to the ground, he will send a wave of dark energy towards you. Simply jump over it and you'll be fine. Otherwise, he will shoot out three consecutive laser beams. Keep jumping to avoid the beams. Now, to damage him. Start the fight by using Dark Jak and hitting him with a Dark Bomb or Blast. This will take out half of his remaining health. Take out the Peacemaker and wait for him to attack you head on. Run to a safe distance and shoot him a couple of times. When you run out of ammo, take out your blaster and finish him off. In this stage, Metal Kor won't give you too much trouble. If you've made it this far, you should be able to finish him off in a couple of tries. Watch the scene that follows and enjoy the end credits. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Congratulations!! You have beaten the game.
