Wassup!!! How are you??? Spirit Slash3r's the name, and I am currently writing a guide for the fantastic game Kingdom Hearts 2. Some of my previous works include the complete-sickenly-detailed-guide for the successful prepuel to Kingdom Hearts 2; Kingdom Hearts! (Duh!!!), and a guide for the ever-popular Final Fantasy X (although this is still under construction due to time restraints). If you ever read my guide for Kingdom Hearts, you'll understand the kind of standards that I have with my guides, as I take writing VERY seriously. Hence, I will always try to write the most sickenly detailed guide for this game ever made. My guiede for Kingdom Hearts was absolutely detailed, and I'm still pretty sure that it has been for the last year and a half, and still is, the largest guide on the net for the title. The sole purpose of me writing a guide for this game is that I have always wanted to help those who are in need when it comes to gaming. And so, I have found that writing lets me help more people than anyway possible. Because of this, I will try to maintain the highest standards for this guide. Therefore I will search every crook and cranny for treasure chests, fighting battles multiple times to discover the most effective strategies for boss and enemy encounters, and play countless hours until I find and unlock everything. With my extensive knowledge of the game compiled into this document, I am very confident that this guide will make your gaming experience the best that it can be. Just like my guide for the previous title, I promise to make this guide the largest, most in-depth, and detailed guide for Kingdom Hearts 2 ever. Well that's enough from me, so let's bring out the guide. Enjoy!!! - Spirit Slash3r =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ 3.0 Legal Information ~'*'~ LG@L --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== This document is (c) 2004-2005 to me, Spirit Slash3r. Within this section of the guide I will be including a list of all of the sections in what I need help with. Also contained in this section is the policy guide in writing a good e-mail. The policy is as shown. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The Policy =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= For you to e-mail me, my e-mail address is shown below. When mailing me, you shouldn't be mailing about tings that are not neccessary, for example: sports, personal interests and other stuff like that. Instead of writing garbage like that, you should take advantage of this offer and use this chance to ask me anything about Final Fantasy X or any suggestions on how to improve this guide, or personal feedback on this guide itself. Questions. Well questions are very difficult to explain. The reason is that I always tend to receive a question that has already has the answer contained within the guide. I can't stress that out even more. Always remember to check my massive guide to see if your question has already been answered throughout the game. Because of past experieces, almost 50% of my e-mails were questions have been answered within the guide. If this continues to persist, I will be forced to close down the priveledge of answering e-mails. This would be extremely unfair to those who do the right thing, but it would happen because of those who are just plain stupid. Another thing is that e-mails should be written in a readable language. An example is this. The writer was meant to say: Could you tell me how to defeat Sephiroth? Instead, the writer wrote: Hey, culd u t3ll mi h0w 2 difeet Sephirof? This language is not acceptable and if I spot this type of language in any of my e-mails, I will dispose of it immediatley. Notice that I do not check my mail frequently due to my tight schedule and you will have to expect a reply in a long time. If you do ask me a question which has not been answered in the guide, I will include in my guide and that when mailing me an e-mail, you should write whether you give me permission to place it on my guide. Of course, your name will appear in the credits. Another factor is the information submitting. If you have information that you want to submit, feel free to. But remember, it must be already be contained the guide already although finding information not contained in this guide is higly unlikely. When e-mailing me please write in the main topic dialog box someting like KH2, Kingdom Hearts 2, FAQ, or GameFAQs related. Using this method will assure to catch my attention and will prompt me to answer the mail straight away. I you can detect any, please send them in. I only reply in English. Something that I must tell you is that I live in Australia and so I write and speak in the funny way. For example, all you Americans out there should know this. You guys spell color. I spell this as COLOUR. If you spot errors like this, don't expect them to be corrected as I cannot be stuffed changing for you readers. Just bare with it. No matter what you say, I won't change them. But I have written a few in this guide like ARMOR as this is how it is spelt in the game. Once again, all work in which I receive from fellow readers will be 100% credited. End of Policy =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= With all of these terms and conditions, I also need your help. You may have notice in some parts of my walkthrough, that there are "N/A" or "???" symbols shown. This shows that I am uncertain of the actual information needed. If you do know the exact information, please e-mail me and telling the fact. The information that I am usually uncertain about are enemy hit points, enemy experience and weapon stats. The second issue that I need you readers out there to help me with are the usual spelling errors. Again, if you spot any, e-mail me. Thanks. What I will be coverning is how to fully complete the game, right from the moment you turn your console on, until you watch the ending credits. I will include strategies for all of the bosses that are related to the story, but if you're looking for the secret bosses, refer to the other sections below. Also, I won't be covering sidequests as they do not relate to the main story. Again, if you are looking for these, refer to the lower sections. As you turn on your Playstation 2, the game will load showing the developers BVG (Buena Vista Games) and Square-Enix logos. Followed by this is a few legal details. The opening screen features Sora standing in the looking-out-to-sea fashion with a sweet salt ice cream. The image is accompanied with Yoko Shimomura's "Friends in My Heart". If you leave the controller idle for 30 seconds or so, the Kingdom Hearts 2 TGS trailer will be shown, watch it if you want to see what will basically happen in the game. There are two options that can be chosen from the opening screen. The first is new game and the second is load, both written in the "Square-Enix capital lettering" fashion. I won't cover Load as it isn't necessary here. When New Game is selected, you'll be prompted to choose the game difficulty. Beginner mode is recommended for those who have never played and those who are unfamiliar to Kingdom Hearts. Standard Mode is recommended for those who still want a challenge but in a balanced way, and those playing Kingdom Hearts 2 for the first time. Proud Mode is recommended for those who have played Kingdom Hearts 2 at least once, or those who are just looking for a challenge. Following this screen is the vibration settings, sound settings and the confirmation screen. After this, the traditional-beginning-a-game-chime. Brace yourself, Kingdom Hearts 2 begins now... ~~~ =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ Prologue: Twilight Town ~'*'~ PRLG --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== I know what you're thinking! Sora broke his voice!!! LMAO!!! Well anyway, after watching that kick-ass opening CG, even those who have never played Kingdom Hearts or Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories will be able to understand the whole concept of the story. The CG also serves as a reminder for gamers for what has happened so far in the Kingdom Hearts saga. The CG ends off with a new face named Roxas falling into the "Awakening" area of Kingdom Hearts. Followed by two members of the Organization XIII having a quite confusing conversation. But don't worry, you will understand all in good time. Okay, let's begin the Kingdom Hearts 2 quest!!! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ " Twilight Town - The 1st Day " TWL1 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 1: The 1st Day >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' |`..--------..´| | | | | | '--------' | | | | O O | | | | O O | | | | O O | | | |----. .------| .-------'--'------| | | `. .----´ \ .´ `. .´ The Old Mansion / / [1] [1]| .------´ `. Apparently he has been having dreams about Sora, although he doesn't even know who Sora is. Roxas then opens his window, and a fantastic scene of a world from Chain of Memories, Twilight Town is shown. The scene then shifts to a hangout where a few more new faces are introduced. First is Hayner, the guy with the blonde hair and the commando cargos, who is depicted as the group leader (Riku anyone?). Then there is Pence, a chubby guy who wears "Dogstreet" clothing (Sion's clothing brand from "The Bouncer"). And finally, there is Olette, a girl dressed in orange. And of course, there's Roxas, the "cool guy" of the group. Well anyway, you discover that things have been stolen throughout the town and apparently the group is being blamed for by none other than Seifer, and yes, it's Seifer Almasy (yay!). So Roxas then suggests that the group could then find out who the real culprit is to clear their names. Suddenly, Pence realises that something has been stolen, along with the word. And so, they set off to find the thief. Just as Roxas begins to follow his friends, he faints. A unknown voice is heard saying "His heart is returning, doubtless he'll awaken very soon." (Hmmm I wonder who he's talking about?) You'll be taken to the Market Street. This area basically serves as the tutorial of the game. Firstly you be taught how to move throughout the game. Use this time to get a feel of how the game works. You can also explore some of the Market Street, although no treasure chests will be present, and you will not be able to leave the current area. When you're finished moving around, approach the Armour Shop, which is the building where your friends are standing in front of. The shop owner will then tell you to visit the accessories shop as the owner is concerned about you. You'll automatically arrive at the shop and Hayner will then tell you to ask the accessories shop owner. The window will pop up again, this time telling you about reaction commands and what they do. Reaction commands are basically commands that appear in certain situations. Examples of reaction commands are talking with other people, opening chests, and combat attacks. You can always tell that it is a raction command from the glowing green triangle that appears on screen. Speak with the owner and she will tell you that the candy shop owner is also concerned about you. You will automatically appear at the candy shop. The owner will ask you if you have seen her cat, well I guess it's up to you to go and retrieve it. The window will pop up again, this time teaching you about the camera options and the Lock-on feature. You can move the camera using the R3 analog stick, and return the camera to its default position by pressing R3. You can Lock-on to certain objects using the R1 button. When an object is in Lock-on, the camera will always follow the object (it will never go off screen). The camera cannot be controlled when Lock-on is enabled. To disable Lock-on, press R1 once again. So your objective is to Lock-on the cat, pretty simple. The owner will thank Roxas, and after a few words, the group decide to go and speak with Seifer. The group arrives at the Sandlot and approach Seifer's crew, Raijin, Fuijin, and Vivi. It's HALIRIOUS to hear Raijin say his trademark "y'know" catchphrase! It's seems that the three are still accusing Roxas, Hayner, Pence and Olette as the thieves. Then Seifer arrives, and after an argument, Roxas decides to fight Seifer. But before you fight him, you'll be given the decision to choose from three weapons to fight him with. Each weapon increases Roxas' stats by 1 in a certain attribute. Kinda like the Awakening scene in KH. The options are as follows. Staff (Left) - Magic +1 Handguard (Middle) - Denfence +1 Club (Right) - Strength +1 Since it's only 1 attribute point, it doesn't really matter what weapon you choose. After this your battle will begin. ------------ BOSS: SEIFER ------------ - Boss Name: Seifer - Location: Sandlot, Twilight Town - Information: N/A - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: As the battle begins, a message will appear teaching you about the HP, MP, and attacking. Hit him three times and a message will appear regarding the use of combos. After this, the real fight will begin. The battle is pretty simple, all you need to do Lock-on to him and bash the crap out of him. When he is walking around raising his bat, he is defending. So the first hit the you will land on him will always be blocked. He'll generally walk around the arena, so you won't have to worry about him chasing and hunting you down. At some point, Seifer will jump and say "Isn't this romantic?" (Dunno what it means!!!), and then he'll charge at you. Easily dodged, just run away and dodge the attack. A good way to defeat him is to stay clear from him, and wait until he uses the "jumping in the air and charge attack". WHen he finishes, he is vulnerable, so use this time wisely to land in a combo or to. Use this battle as some practice and perfect your combat skills. Once enough damage has been dealt, a amusing scene of Seifer yelling in agony and being hit by Roxas in slow motion is shown. Seifer falls, and Fuijin and Raijin make up some crap excuse about how he lost. Pence then decides to take a picture of Roxas' victory using his polaroid camera, the photo is then quickly stolen by a white creature. The group decide to chase after it, as they assume that it is the thief. You will now appear in the Woods area of Twilight Town. Just follow the creature out of this area and onto the next. Approach the creature and use the reaction command "Capture" to initiate the battle. A voice will say "We have come for you, my liege", and the battle will begin. ------------------------ BATTLE: MYSTERIOUS ENEMY ------------------------ - Enemy Name: Mysterious Enemy - Location: The Old Mansion, Twilight Town - Information: N/A - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 3 - Reaction Commands: Reversal (Dusk) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: It is pointless to attack the enemy as you will soon realise that your weapon is ineffective against it. Therefore your only option is to dodge all of the enemy's attacks. A good way to do this is to use the "Reversal" reaction command which makes Roxas perform a reversal on the enemy. After a while, Roxas will realise that his weapon is of no use against the enemy. Suddenly the weapon that you chose will transform itself into the all-famous Keyblade. Hermm, looks like the tables have turned. You will notice that your health gauge has been completely restored if you had been damaged by the enemy in the previous battle. All you need to do is to perform 2-3 combos on the enemy, and it will fall. A message will appear teaching you about the health and Munny orbs. After the battle the stolen photos will be retrieved and the Keyblade disappears. The scene then shifts back to the group's hangout. Hayner asks Roxas about the photo thief, and he replies that the photos were just lying on the grass. Pence then notices that all the stolen photos are of Roxas (creepy). Pence then suggests that maybe the thief wanted to actually steal the real Roxas, but the group laugh at the idea. But deep down inside, Roxas seems troubled by it. He steps outside into the sunlight, and after a few words, the scene shifts to a static screen saying "Restoration 12%". The scene now changes to a room with some high-tech computers. There is familiar man dressed in red named DiZ speaking with a robed man. The robed man asks DiZ why the white creatures, aka the Nobodies steal the photographs. DiZ tells him they can't tell the difference between photos and the real thing. DiZ also mentions Naminé. A few more disorted scenes from the previous game are shown, including Sora waking up in Traverse Town, and a few scenes about the Keyblade. But once again, it was all just a dream. Roxas awakes and wonders what this "Keyblade" is. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ " Twilight Town - The 2nd Day " TWL2 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 2: The 2nd Day >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' .-----------------------. | |========| | | |========| | .--' | Station Plaza /[4] / / `. / '-------------------´ |[4]| .----------------. .---´ / | |.' | | .´ | | | | .´ Market Street: | .' | | | Tram Common |-|----.-.-----------. | | | |____|_|___________| | | /=/'---' '-----------| .-' | .------------´=/ | / | |==.------.=.-´ .------. .---| .--' | |==| | | | | | | / .-. / |==| ,-------._.-| | '---| / / | / | .------. |_| '------' | [2]/ | `. / \ |-' '-----' | '-- `. ¤ `------. / (B2)`-----' .--.'--' . `. Disappointed, Roxas throws away the stick, but it hits a man dressed in a black robe (Organization XIII!!!). Roxas apologises, but the man simply ignores him and walks away. Roxas then arrives at the hangout, and his friends are eating icecream, just to point out, it's called Sweet Salt Icecream (Dunno WTF that would taste like!!!). Hayner then decides that the group should go to the beach as the summer vacation is almost over. But Pence then mentions that they don't have any money. You will be given control of Roxas, and you will be taught about save points. Save your game and exit the Usual Spot. Hayner will inform Roxas that they are heading to Market Street and you will be given the Twilight Town map. This map appears in the upper-right corner of the screen. For your convenience, I have used my ASCII art skills and drawn out the maps and have included them in the guide. From this point, you can only take the north-western exit. Both the south-eastern exit and the north-eastern exit are temporarily inaccessible right now, as the game wants you to get on with the story. From your starting position, there is a skateboard that you can use to get aournd the place a whole lot quicker. When you are ready, take the north-western exit to the Market Street. Hayner then informs Roxas of his "master plan", to win the Struggle tournament. Hayner then tells everybody to do some odd jobs to make some Munny and then meet up at the station. In front of you is a help wanted board. You can use the reaction command to bring up the jobs that you can do. The three available are Mail Delivery, Cargo Climb, and Grandstander. Here is what you need to do for each. There is also another help wanted board if you take the south-eastern exit. This board has the following jobs: Poster Duty, Bumble-Buster, and Junk Sweep. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ ------------- Mail Delivery ------------- A fairly easy mini-game to complete extremely fast. The main objective of this is to deliver all of the mail to all of the customers as fast as possible using the reaction command. Also, you are on a skateboard for optimum speed. Use your tricks to your advantage to score the best time possible. The first customer is a man walking around at the bottom of the slope. Fairly easy, skate by him and press TRIANGLE while doing so. The seconds customer, for some reason, is a bird flying around the first corner. Once again, skate by it and use the reaction command to deliver its mail. The third customer is a man walking around the help board. The fourth customer is a flying high further north of your position. To reach it, grind the rail near the help board to gain some air. The final customer is a woman walking around the bottom of the slope. The maximum amount of Munny that you can earn from this job is only 50 Munny. This is probably the easiest and the fastest way to gain Munny. I highly recommend that you earn your 800 Munny by doing this job as you can earn 50 Munny in less than 10 seconds. ----------- Cargo Climb ----------- The main objective for this job is to hit the cart up the slope and into the garage. Make use of your combos, both land and air. Air combos seems to be more effective rather than land combos, but always try to aim and attack the centre of the cart. If hit anywhere else, the cart will move either left or right rather than straight up the slope. Although air combos work better, using land combos give you an extra hit that will give a boost. When the cart is hit a certain number of times using the land combo, the cart will go airborne. At this point, if the cart is hit correctly, it will be launched a great distance up the slope. The maximum amount of Munny that you can earn from this job is 50 Munny. I personally find that this is pretty much pointless to play as it takes to long to earn only 50 Munny. Don't expect to be playing this game a lot, as you'll eventually get very bored. ------------ Grandstander ------------ Remember the Rare Truffle. Same concept, but replace the Heartless with a ball, and replace the rewards (Shitake Rank etc.) with 50 Munny. All you need to do is juggle the ball in the air. You also have 5 tries to get as many hits as you can into a juggle, and the longest juggle that you get determines the amount of Munny that you earn. I find that it is extremely difficult for Roxas to maintain combos at this point in the game. You can try to hit the ball into a corner, that way the ball will always rebound off the wall andstay insight for you to hit it. The maximum amount of Munny that can be earned is 50 Munny. ----------- Poster Duty ----------- The main objective of this job is to stick Struggle posters all over the area (more like vandalise Twilight Town). You have a total of 20 posters to stick. You can only stick posters in certain places, and these are indicated by yellow triangles. You have to use the reaction command to stick them on. Certain places will have more than one spot to stick posters. If this occurs, press the TRIABGLE button rapidly to stick the posters on. The amount of Munny that you earn is determined by the time that you take to stick 20 posters. To get the best time that you can possibly get, you must find the optimum route. Sadly, it is too hard to explain what that is, but still I don't recommend that you even play it as it takes too long. The maximum amount of Munny that can be earned is 100 Munny. ------------- Bumble-Buster ------------- What you basically have to do for this job is to defeat all of the bees in the area. The amount of Munny that you earn is determined by the time that you take to defeat all of them. The faster you kill them, the more Munny you earn. They usually die very quickly (2-3 hits), but the thing is that there are a lot of them, and they can hit you back which will delay your time. The maximum amount of Munny that can be earned from the job is 100 Munny. This job is highly unrecommended, as it takes too long. ---------- Junk Sweep ---------- Using your combos, you must destroy the junk lying around the area. You can hit junk pieces into other pieces to basically "kill two birds with one stone". The amount of Munny that you earn is determined by the number of hits that it takes you to destroy the junk. The lower the number of hits, the higher the amount of Munny rewarded. Fortunately, there is no time limit in this job, and so, you can take your time with this one. A trick is run against the junk, that way, slightly moving it. Using this method, you can push all of the junk to together and you can just hit a piece to destroy the whole lot in minimal hits. The maximum amount of Munny earned from this job is 100 Munny. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ I should also point out that it isn't compulsory for you to earn the required 800 Munny. The minimum requirement is for you to do one job, although it is recommended that you work for the 800 Munny. Why you ask? Well if you do, your AP attribute increases by 1, and plus, it doesn't take long to earn 800 Munny. Remember that Roxas also initially has 150 Munny, and that you only need to earn 650 Munny. You can always check to see how much Munny you currently have by making a trip to the menu screen (pressing the START button). Probably the fastest way to earn 800 Munny is to contiuously do the 'Mail Delivery' job. Like I said before, you can earn 50 Munny easily within 10 seconds, probably even less. After a few calculations, that's a total 13 successful attempts at the job to earn you your 650 Munny required. Also, that means that you only spend a total of approximately 130 seconds doing the actual job (note that I haven't taking loading screens and re-applying for the job into account). Not long, just roughly two minutes to earn 650 Munny, easy as pie. Well regardless of your decision, when you feel that you are ready, head to the Station Plaza via the entrance in the northern area of the Station Heaights. In this area, Hayner will be walking around. If you speak with him, he'll ask you whether you are ready, and you'll be given two options. The first is to continue working for the Munny and the other is to proceed on with the game. Select the second option to proceed on with the game. Olette will then happily anounce that the group has earned the Munny that they need to go to the beach. She then gives the Munny to Roxas, and they head into the station to purchase tickets. As Roxas heads for the station, he falls over, and the 'stick' from before falls nearby. The man wearing the black cloak then appears in front of Roxas and helps him get up. Heyner then tells Roxas that they have three minutes to get onbaord the train. For some reason, Hayner, Pence and Olette cannot see the man. Roxas then turns around to look at the man, and he is gone. He then proceeds to the station. In the station, Hayner purchases the tickets, and Pence asks Roxas for the Munny. He quickly realises that he lost the Munny, and remembered that the cloaked man took it. Roxas then tells his friends that he believes that the cloaked man took the Munny Pouch when he fell over. But Hayner seems confused, as when Roxas fell, he didn't see anyone nearby. Roxas is then surprised that they didn't see anyone there. They end up sitting on top of the clock tower, eating ice cream. Apparently, Roxas is still thinkning about the cloaked man, and how it was possible that no one saw him. Roxas then recounts on what the man had said to him, "Can you feel Sora?", and he wonders what the man said means. The scene then shifts to the static screen saying "Restoration at 28%", followed by a man saying "Naminé hurry!" Then Diz and the cloaked man are shown in the computer room. The cloaked man is seen holding Roxas' Munny Pouch. The cloaked man then asks DiZ if it is that hard to make a beach, and he replies that they would be giving the enemy another entry point. The cloaked man then asks why they had to steal the Munny Pouch, and DiZ then replies that objects from the town must be kept out of the real world, and he wants the cloaked man to delete it. The conversation is then followed with a few more flashback scenes from Kingdom Hearts. A few of the scenes include King Triton saying that as the key bearer, Sora must not meddle in the affairs of other worlds, Aladdin wishing for Genie's freedom, and Sora telling piglet that Sora is going to look for his friends. Following the flashbacks is a brief scene of DiZ staring into the screen and Naminé standing in front of the pod that Sora was in. Roxas then asks who she is, and she smiles. Roxas awakes once again. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ " Twilight Town - The 3rd Day " TWL3 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 3: The 3rd Day >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' | | .---´ / | .´ | .´ | | | | | | .-' | Market Street: Station Heights / | .--' | / .-. / / / | / [2]/ | `. `. `------. After this, you will be given control of Roxas, use this opportunity to save your progress. When you are finished, exit the Usual Spot. The southern entrance to the Sandlot is currently inacessable, and the same goes for the north-eastern entrance to the Underground Concourse. Therefore the only entrance that you can take is the north-western entrance to the Station Heights. When you arrive in the Station Heights, Pence and Olette will greet you, but as they walk towards you, they freeze. Roxas' then notices that Naminé is standing in front of him, and she tells him that she wanted to meet him, and she then walks away. His friends are then unfrozen, and Pence tells Roxas that Olette dragged him along to go shopping. He then asks Pence and Olette if they just saw Naminé, but Pence accuses him of stalling, and they walk off. Roxas then wonders if Naminé walked to the direction of the Haunted Mansion, heads in the direction of the Old Mansion. In the woods, he is ambushed by the mysterious creatures once again, and he flees. He runs past Seifer and his crew, and they call him a chicken wuss. Seifer and his crew then decide to fight the creatures, and he tells Roxas to find a weapon. ------------------------ BATTLE: MYSTERIOUS ENEMY ------------------------ - Enemy Name: Mysterious Enemy - Location: Sandlot, Twilight Town - Information: N/A - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: N/A - Reaction Commands: Reversal (Dusk) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: This battle is very similar to the previous one. Roxas will once again realise that his attacks are ineffective against his foes but Seifer and his crew will freeze and the creatures will target Roxas. Choose whichever weapon you want, but take into account the effects. Staff Left) - Levels & Abilities develop in a magical manner. Blade (Middle) - Levels & Abilities develop in an offensive manner. Shield (Right) - Levels & Abilities develop in a defensive manner. Once you choose a weapon, Roxas will receive the keyblade, and the creatures will attack you. But the tables have turned, as you have the almighty Keyblade! ------------------------ BATTLE: MYSTERIOUS ENEMY ------------------------ - Enemy Name: Mysterious Enemy - Location: Station of Serenity - Information: Defeat all of the mysterious enemies! - Experience Awarded: 18 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 3 - Reaction Commands: Reversal (Dusk) - Spoils: Aerial Recovery - Strategy: Basically the enemies are still of the same difficulty as the time you fought them at the Old Mansion. You can still dodge their attacks using the Reversal reaction command. It won't take too long to defeat all three enemies, generally focus on one at a time. Use the Lock-on feature to your advantage. Each enemy rewards you with 6 expereince points, with a total of 18 p for all three enemies. Along with the 18 experience points, Roxas also learns the Aerial Recovery ability. As the battle ends, you'll learn that the Abilities menu is now available in the main menu. You'll also learn that after winning important battles, you level up, increasing various parameters and learning new techniques, and you can also level up by receiving experience from defeating enemies. At this point you can enter the main menu for a brief explanation of what abilities are, and how to equip them. I highly suggest that you equip Aerial Recovery as it will help you in the upcoming battle. A treasure chest will appear nearby, and you will be taught how to open chests using the reaction command "open". Use the reaction command to open the chest to receive a Potion. At this point, enter the main menu to receive a brief overview of what Auto-Reload is. All of the menu tutorials can be watched again by pressing the SELECT button in certain menus. A door will appear nearby, a voice will say the familiar words "Be Careful, Beyond that door lies a completely different world, but don't be afraid, don't stop walking..." You'll learn that when your HP reaches 0, it's game over. Save at the nearby save point and enter the door. In the Station of Calling, there are three platforms. The first is the blue platform, nothing here, so head over to the second one, the green platform. On your way, you'll face the creatures (I'll refer to them as Dusk). On the green platform, there is a chest containing a Potion. Proceed to the final red platform, and approach the door. You'll face a few more Dusks on your way, you should hjave easily levelled up to level 2 at this point. Head through the door and onto the next area. A boss battle awaits... -------------------- BOSS: TWILIGHT THORN -------------------- - Boss Name: Twilight Thorn - Location: Station of Serenity - Information: Use reaction commands and defeat the mysterious enemy! - Experience Awarded: - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: Keyblade Counter, Lunarsault, Break Raid, Reversal - Spoils: Guard, Stat Boost - Strategy: As the battle begins, you'll be restrained in the air by four orbs. You won't be able to move anywhere (kinda kinky!!!). The Twilight Thorn will approach you and attempt to attack you. Immediately press TRIANGLE to use the Keyblade Counter reaction command to counter its attack. The Twilight Thorn will then grab and throw you in the air, and this point another reaction command is available, Lunarsault. When used, Roxas will knock Twilight Thorn off the platform. You'll be on the platform now, run down south towards the edge and the platform will tip, making Roxas hold onto the edge. Roxas will eventually fall off, and the Twilight Thorn will throw a giganitc ball of energy at you. Immediately press TRIANGLE to use the reaction command Break Raid to deflect the energy ball. Roxas and the Twilight Thorn will both fall onto the platform. Roxas will get up and pick up the Keyblade. While the Twilight Thorn is down, use this opportunity to get a few combos on the big guy for some serious damage. It will of course, regain consciousness, and it will begin to attack you using a lightning attack. Use Reversal to dodge the attacks, and make your way to its head where you can land in more hits. Twilight Thorn will also usually sweep across the platform. It you time your jump, you can dodge it, but if you get hit, Aerial Recovery will help here. After it has taken a certain amount of damage, it will sweep across the platform, attacking you with the lightning attack. Twilight Thorn will also standing on his head while liquid raving for show. Use this opportunity as he is vulnerable for 2-3 combos. During this time, he'll summon Nobodies to attack you. Don't bother with them unless you need to recover some health as they drop HP orbs. The entire process will repeat until you defeat the behemoth. Just follow the strategy above, and I can assure that you will defeat him with ease. Don't hesitate to use your Potions in this battle. As you defeat Twilight Town Roxas' keyblade will disappear, and Twilight Thorn will fall and disappear. He will then be pulled into the darkness, but a hand reaches out to help him and the darkness disappears. Roxas then discovers that the person that helped him was Naminé. She then introduces herself as Naminé, and she asks Roxas if he remembers his true name. But suddenly, a man dressed in a black robe tells her not to say anything. But then she argues that if no one tells him something will happen, but the man says that it would be better that doesn't know the truth. Roxas then recognises that the cloaked man was the person who stole his Munny Pouch. The man creates a dark portal and pushes him in. Roxas wakes up and finds himself back at the Sandlot. A Seifer claims that he was the one who defeated the Nobodies. Back at the Usual Spot, Roxas asks if they went to the beach, but Olette tells him that they didn't go because it wouldn't have been the same without him. Roxas then suggests that they could go tomorrow, but Hayner tells him that he has to go somewhere. Roxas then remembers that the Struggle Tournament is on tomorrow. The scene shifts to the static computer screen once again. It now says "Restoration at 48%". Back at the computer room, the cloaked man asks DiZ if the Naminé that saved Roxas made out of data, but he replies that she wasn't data as she hijacked the data herself, and that he can no longer control her. DiZ then says that as long as she accomplishes her goal, it doesn't matter what will happen to Roxas. I wonder what this goal is? Once again, a few more dirsorted scenes are shown from the previous game. Roxas then awakes and remembers "the promise", and prepares for the Struggle tournament. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ " Twilight Town - The 4th Day " TWL4 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 5: The 4th Day >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' .-----------------------. | |========| | | |========| | Station Plaza .--' | /[4] / / `. / '-------------------´ |[4]| .---´ / | .´ | .´ Market Street: Station Heights | | | | .-' | / | .--' | / .-. / / / | / [2]/ | `. `. `------. The Struggle co-ordinator will begin the tournament, and introduce to the people the Struggle champion Setzer (Ansem?). You'll also get a glimpse at the four crystal trophy and all of the competitors will be shown which include Seifer, Setzer, Vivi, Hayner, and Roxas. You'll be given control of Roxas. There's a save point in the north-east, so I suggest that you save your progress right now. Then make your way to the board and speak with the referee who will explain the rules of the struggle tournament. The rules are basically that each person has 100 orbs, and the main objective of the game is to steal all of your oponent's orbs. To steal your opponent's orbs, you must attack him, and of course, the same goes for you. There is a time limit, and if not all of the orbs of a competitor is taken, the person with the most orbs wins. For something to think about, go speak with Vivi who is standing in the south of the ring. Whenever you are ready, speak with the struggle promoter. Before the struggle battle begins, Roxas apologises about what happened yesterday, but Hayner tells him to let it go. Roxas then tells him that he has got a lot on his mind. After a few more words, your first struggle match begins. Yay, let's STRUGGLE!!!! ----------------- STRUGGLE: HAYNER ----------------- - Enemy Name: Hayner - Location: Sandlot, Twilight Town - Information: Engage in battle against Hayner using quick attacks! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: This battle is extremely easy. To make things easy for you, equip the Guard ability on Roxas so that you can just block every attack that Hayner lands on you. Hayner's attacks are fairly easy to dodge. The main attack that he will use is a strike followed by a lunge. To overcome this attack, make use of your Guard ability and time the button press to block the attack and parry him. Immediately follow in with a combo. The second attack the Hayner uses is a charging lunge, only used when you are far from his position. This is also fairly easy to dodge as he will charge in a straight direction, and so you can just away from it. Land combos earn you some orbs, but a complete air combo will net you more orbs, hence, opt to land more air combos rather than land combos. It is utterly impossible, at this point in the game, to take all of Hayner's orbs, so juts make sure at the end of the game you have more orbs than he does. You can always just run around the area if you have more orbs than him to ensure a victory. If ever you lose, a static screen will display, and you'll have to fight him once again. Hrrm... I guess you'll have to beat him which is an easy feat. The referee will declare Roxas as the victor. Hayner then congratulates Roxas for winning the struggle battle, saying that he taught Roxas well (lol). The next fight begins against Seifer and Vivi. Cocky as usual, Seifer is confident that he will win the match, but astonishingly loses against Vivi. He then says that the person he just fought was not Vivi, and he tells Roxas to beat him. The promoter then says the Seifer has withdrawn from the Struggle battle from third place, so Hayner is now in third place. You will be given control of Roxas. Head over to the save point and save your progress and then speak with the promoter to fight the next struggle battle. -------------- STRUGGLE: VIVI -------------- - Enemy Name: Vivi - Location: Sandlot, Twilight Town - Information: Engage in battle against Vivi! Watch closely as he leaves his guard down after an attack! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: Vivi is less predictable than Hayner, but still easy. He will generally jump in and then spin, striking anyone around him. Easy dodged by moving away from the attack. When he finishes the attack he will be vulnerable to an attack, so smack a combo on his behind. In this battle, I will generally opt for Aerial Recovery rather than Guard, as will be most likely hit around the area. The second attack that he uses is a slam attack, where he slams his club to the ground. Once again, while he is doing it, run around behind him and land a combo in. The third attack that Vivi uses is a lunge attack, similar to one of Hayner's attacks. If you are hit by this attack, you will lose A LOT of orbs, so avoid it as much as possible. As Roxas charges to finish Vivi off, everything freezes once again, but mysteriously, Vivi is able to move. Vivi then transforms himself into a Dusk, and a few more will appear around you. The club that Roxas holds then changes into a Keyblade. ------------ BATTLE: DUSK ------------ - Enemy Name: Dusk - Location: Sandlot, Twilight Town - Information: Use reaction commands and defeat the mysterious enemy! Fight using mystifying Keyblade! - Experience Awarded: 32 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 4 - Reaction Commands: Reversal (Dusk) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: A fairly easy battle. You'll fight four of them in this battle. Just use the strategies that have learned up to now to defeat them. The Dusks disappear, and Roxas notices that a man dressed in a black robe is applauding him. The man congratulates him on winning the fight, and realises that he really doesn't remember the man. The robed man takes off his hood and reveals himself as Axel. Roxas then asks Axel about what is happening, and Axel asks him that the town was his creation, and he tells Roxas that he has to come with him, conscious or not. Fustrated, Roxas throws the Keyblade away and asks Axel what is going on, but it just re-appears on his hands. Axel then says Number 13, Roxas, the Keyblade's chosen one. Roxas then agrees to fight him. ---------- BOSS: AXEL ---------- - Boss Name: Axel - Location: Sandlot, Twilight Town - Information: Defeat the mysterious man, Axel! Fight using the mystifying Keyblade! - Experience Awarded: - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: Regardless of how intimidating he looks, he isn't too difficult to defeat. The first attack that he uses is a pinwheel combo which will land to blows on you if you are hit by it. If you have Guard equipped, use it to block his attack and also hit one of his pinwheels out of his hand. He'll then spend some time in picking up the pinwheel, during this time attack his ass with a combo. The second attack that Axel uses a fire-pinwheel attack. He'll firstly crouch down for a while, and then instantly run behind you and throw a flaming pinwheel at you. To avoid this attack, when he is running behind you, run away from your current position. The third attack can do some major damage to you. He will charge up and then his entire body and pinwheels be enflamed. He'll then throw his fire pinwheels at you a couple of times. Keep your distance from him to maintain your health. Axel tends to use this attack when he is low on health. Land combos in when you have the opportunity to, and don't be afrraid to use any potions to heal yourself. The mysterious DiZ appears, and Axel accuses that it was DiZ. Axel then attacks DiZ, but the he blocks both attacks effortlessly. DiZ then tells Roxas that Axel speaks nonsense. But then Axel tells Roxas not to listen to him. Confused, Roxas yells out his friends' names, and everything returns to normal. Roxas then notices that Vivi is back to his old self, and he doesn't seem to remember how he got in the struggle battle. Setzer then appears, and Olette tells him that the struggle battle is starting. Apparently, Roxas is still thinking about what happened before. You will be given control of Roxas again. Save your progress and then speak with the promoter to begin the final struggle battle. ---------------- STRUGGLE: SETZER ---------------- - Enemy Name: Setzer - Location: Sandlot, Twilight Town - Information: Engage in battle against Setzer! Watch his attack patterns closely and look for an opening! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: Setzer is extremely easy. He'll just attack you once if you are close to him. So just attack him like crazy. If you do a certain number of hits on him, he'll get very tired and rest on his club. He won't do anything for a while, so mash the X button and land as many combos in as possible. After this, it will become a little more difficult. He'll begin to use two new attacks. The first is a multiple jab attack. Setzer will charge his club and then strike you numerous times. This attack is best avoided completely, but Guard can be used to block the attack. The second attack is a spin attack, similar to that of Vivi's. Setzer will jump in the air and spin across the arena damaging anyone in his path. Just stay out of his path and you won't be damaged. Setzer will walk away from his defeat, and he'll attempt to make a dramatic exit, but he is interrupted by Hayner heads to where Roxas is standing. The promoter hands him the Champion Belt, which is actually an accessory. You also receive "The Struggle" Trophy. The group are now seen sitting on top of the clock tower. Roxas takes the crystals off the trophy and hands one to each of his friends. As promised, they shared the prize, and the whole group holds their crystals in the sun. Olette then brings out some sweet salt ice cream. Roxas bein all excited, falls off the clock tower. The screen then shows a static screen. The scene now shifts back to Destiny Islands, and Kairi is seen walking down a road. She is called back by Selphie, who asks her if she wants to go back to the island. She tells Kairi that Tidus and Wakka are too busy with their ballgame (blitzball?) to go with her. But Kairi then tells her that she doesn't want to go today. Disappointed, Selphie asks Kairi why not, and she tells her that there were two boys that they used to play with. One was Riku, but she forgot about the other one. She promised herself not to return to the island until she remembered everything about him. Suddenly Roxas calls out Naminé, and the screen goes static once again. The screen returns to Roxas falling from the clock tower. He asks Naminé what is happening to him, but she tells him that she isn't Naminé and asks him who he is. Roxas then realises that he knows Kairi somehow, she was the girl that "he" liked. Kairi then asks who is "he", and Roxas tells her that his name is Roxas. A voice then says "You don't remember my name? Thanks a lot Kairi" (guess who says that?) The voice then says "O-kay, I guess I can give you a hint. Starts with an 'S'" Kairi is seen on the ground. Excited, she runs towards the beach and places a bottle into the water. Selphie asks Kairi it is and she explains that it was a letter that she wrote yesterday to the boy that she couldn't remember. She said that no matter where he is, she would find him. She also remembered that she made a promise. She then smiles, and says that he will receive the letter. Once again, the screen goes static and a voice says "Restoration at 79%". The scene returns to the computer room with DiZ and the mysterious man. DiZ says that his progress is amazing. The robed man is seen holding one of the crystals from the struggle trophy. The man asks DiZ what happened and puts the crystal into the Munny pouch that he stole from before. DiZ explains that Naminé's encounter with Roxas put his heart in contact with Kairi's. And because of that affected Sora. The man then says that Naminé is a wonder, and DiZ says that she wasn't born like other Nobodies. She can interfere with the hearts and memories of Sora and others aligned with him. The man then asks DiZ who's Nobody is she, but DiZ then says that he could tell him, but he fist he wants to know the man's true name. The cloaked man then takes off his hood and reveal himself as Ansem (OMG!!!). DiZ laughs and says that it's an honour (hrmm, I wondered why he laughed?). Roxas is seen falling in a black area but he then wakes up once again. He then realises that he was dreaming, and he then questions which part were the dreams. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ " Twilight Town - The 5th Day " TWL5 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 6: The 5th Day >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' .--. | | | | | | | | | | / '------. .---. | / .---. ] |~~~| '--------´ / |===| .---'~~~| ||| / |===| .---------'(3)'---' .-------´ |===| /[6] -----------. .-' |||| [| | | '----/ / [6]||||| | | -----. .---.---. Roxas then asks the group if he fell of the station tower, and they tell him that he did. Hayner then asks what they should do for their assignment, and Roxas suggests maybe to do something on the current events ocuring in Twilight Town, specificaly the things that have been happening to him. Pence then says that they're going to search the town and find out what has been happening. Roxas then goes and gets some ice cream. Later, Pence then tells them that there has been a rumour going around. They call them the seven wonders of Twilight Town. Hayner then suggests that they should investigate them for their school project. They decide to split up to find more rumours. So head out of the Usual Spot, and make your way north to the Station Plaza, passing the Back Alley and the Station Heights. Once at Station Heights, enter Central Station. As you enter the station, Pence states that the search for the seven wonders begins, and Hayner and Olette enter. Olette informs the group that she didn't find anything on Market Street, and Hayner then says that they're going to the Terrace with Roxas, but Olette then reminds him that it isn't a race. The group then enter the train and Hayner, Olette and Pence all pull out the coloured orbs which Roxas gave them. Roxas then searches for his orb but sadly discovers that he has lost it. He once again feels that he is separated from his friends. ---------------- The Spooky Steps ---------------- The group then leaves the train, and Roxas then approaches a set of steps, and asks Pence whether they are the steps which he talked about earlier. Pence then tells him that Raijin was the person who was counting the number, and that he just counted the number wrong. You once again regain control of Roxas, but before we continue with the game, let's go treasure hunting. From your startin position, head left, back up the steps, there's a save point nearby if you want to use it. Then, enter the train once again to go to the Central Station. To the west end of the train, there is a treasure chest containing a Hi-Potion. Then make your way to the south-western corner of the map to find another treasure chest containing a Potion. Also, if you didn't save in the previous area, there is also another save point in the station as well. After that, run to the north-eastern corner of the station to find another treasure chest containing another Potion. After collecting the last treasure chest, return to the Sunset Station. Head down the steps and at the bottom, you can talk to Pence for a look at a map which shows all of the locations of the seven wonders of Twilight Town. The seven wonders are as follows: The Spooky Steps (completed), The Friend from Beyond the Wall, The Moans from the Tunnel,The Doppelganger, and The Animated Bag. Once you are finished with taking a look at the map, head into the terrace, where you can once again speak with Pence to see the map again. But before we begin looking for the seven wonders, let's do some exploring to gain us some treasures! From your current position, head up the nearby steps and head left, you should be able to see a tram. If you haed close to the tram, the Jump reaction command will appear. Use this to jump onto the tram. Once on top of the tram, jump onto a platform to the left of you (you might have to move the camera to see it), and there should be a treasure chest containing an Ability Ring, equip it onto Roxas! From your current position, jump off the ledge to the lower area where two lamposts can be seen. Head to the lampost which is closer to the right of the map, and there should be a treasure chest containing a Potion. Then head up the ramp, make a right and continue running up until you reach a small bridge nearby to a small stream. Cross the bridge and a treasure chest will be visible containing a Hi-Potion. Then head west from your current position and nearby to the exit of this area is another treasure chest which contains a Potion. After collecting this treasure chest, make your way back to the area where you entered, now we'll begon to look for those seven wonders! ------------------------------- The Friend from Beyond the Wall ------------------------------- From your current position, head up the stairs and take a right. Follow the path until you see an alleyway. Head to the end of the alleyway and examine the wall to trigger a cutscene. Roxas will examine the wall, and then suddenly balls will begin to emerge from the wall. A little mini-game will then commence. The main goal of the game is to run back up the alleyway and avoid the balls which emerge from the wall. If you get hit by a ball (highly unlikely BTW), you will be pushed back a distance. once you reach the wall again, examine it once again, and a the screen will begin to go static. Pence then enters the alleyway, and tells him if he threw the ball. Just as the two walk away from the wall, a slight warp can be seen. ------------------------- The Moans from the Tunnel ------------------------- Head back out of the alleyway, and continue west down the path. When you reach the northern exit (marked by a big red line on the mini-map), approach it and examine it to trigger another cutscene. Roxas enters the tunnel and sees Vivi. But then Vivi pulls out his club and then another Vivi appears, and another (WTF)! Guess it's fightin' time! ------------- BATTLE: VIVIS ------------- - Enemy Name: Vivis - Location: Tunnelway, Twilight Town - Information: Defeat the Vivis! Don't let them outnumber you! - Experience Awarded: 12 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 12 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: Wow, someting weird is goin on! Well anyway, the three Vivis attack exactly like the Vivi you fought in the Struggle battle. If you ever feel that you need to heal, do not hesitate to run as far away from them and use a Potion. The Vivis are not of a threat to you, but the problem is that you are facing three of them. Also, the annoying thing about the battle is that everytime you attack them, they will warp away, but you get one experience point. Also, although you begin the battle by fighting three Vivis, you can end up fighting up to six of them by the end of the battle. After you defeat the Vivis, the screen will go static once again. Vivi will then appear behind Roxas and ask him if he needed the club. Roxas then explains that there were many Vivis, but Vivi then tells him that he doesn't understand what he is saying. Pence then once again appears and concludes that the "mysterious" voice in the tunnel was just Vivi practicing. Then, as Roxas attempts to explain to Pence what has just happened, Vivi warps into a Dusk and runs away. ---------------- The Doppelganger ---------------- Head out of the Tunnelway, and back into the Terrace. Then make your way south, until you reach the tram road, take a right turn.head down all the way until you see Olette where you should take a left. In this area, there is a waterfall which can be examined. Examine it to trigger another cutscene. Roxas will approach the waterfall and will see his reflection in the water. But then the reflection will walk out of the waterfall, and you will have to fight it. -------------------- BATTLE: SHADOW ROXAS -------------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow Roxas - Location: Sunset Terrace, Twilight Town - Information: Face and defeat the Shadow Roxas! Watch its actions closely! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: An extremely easy battle. All that the enemy will do is blindly strike at you. So all you have to do is pummel away and show him that he is wasting your time. The best way to defeat him is to land a combo on him and then run out and let him blindly attack you. Then while he is blindly attacking, run back in and land another combo on him. Once you defeat him, the static screen will be shown once again (hrmm, is someone watching us?). Pence once again appears (doesn't he come at the most inconvenient times?!) and asks Roxas if he's alright. He then takes a look at the waterfall and sees his reflection. Pence then conclused that the doppelganger was just the reflections in the waterfall. As Roxas walks away, the reflection of him changes into the Shadow Roxas. ---------------- The Animated Bag ---------------- From the waterfall, head north up the stairs and to the entrance to the Sunset Hill. Head up to the top of the hill and examine the bag lying nearby to trigger a cutscene. The bag will begin to jump around and a mini-game will commence. All you have to do is lock-on to it and press the TRIANGLE button to use the "Jump On" reaction command. The bag will try and lose you by running into trashcans, but this can be avoided by pressing the TRIANGLE button at the right time. If you don't Roxas will fall off the bag, and the health bar will slowly replenish. An easy way to dodge the trashcans is to repeatedly press TRIANGLE, it works! Once the health bar reaches zero, the static screen is shown once again. The bag stops jumping, and a dog appears out of the bag. Pence appears and concludes the animated bag was just a dog. While they are talking, a Dusk is seen (I'm not sure, but did the dog change into the Dusk?). --------------------------- The Sunset Hill Ghost Train --------------------------- Roxas then states that the last wonder wasn't actually very wonderful (lol). Pence then says that the next one will be great. Hayner and Olette then run up to the two and inform them about the Ghost Train which can be seen from Sunset Hill. You'll be back at the terrace, so make your way back to the Sunset Hill. the group head to the top of the hill and Hayner tells him that this is the place where the train is said to appear. Pence then tells them that train is said to be empty, that it has no driver, no conductor, and no passengers (wow that's hell scary!). The group wait around looking for the train and Seifer approaches them and asks them what they are doing. Hayner tells him that they are waiting for the Ghost Train, but Seifer just laughs at the idea. After a few words, he walks off, and Roxas then tells the group that he sees the train. But his friends obviously don't see it, but keep it to themselves. Roxas runs to the station ans Roxas tells them to go in the train, but Hayner pulls him back and tells him that he'll get hurt. Roxas then snaps back and realises that there was no train in front of him, and another train stops at the station. Confused, Roxas asks if they all saw the train, but they just shake their heads. Fustrated, Hayner then pushes Roxas into the train. The group leave the station and Hayner then suggests that they should all work on the school paper, concluding that the seven wonders were all just rumours and nothing real. But then Roxas asks about the seventh wonder, Pence tells him that it's at the haunted mansion, and he runs off. ------------------- The Haunted Mansion ------------------- Once you regain control of Roxas, head out of the plaza and into the station heights. Make your way down the street and take the south-eastern exit into the tram common. In the tram common, make your way to the hole in the wall located to the east of the area. Then run through the woods, making your way to the mansion. Roxas looks at the mansion, and is startled by Pence who tells him that they were going to investigate the mansion tomorrow. While they are talking, Naminé will be seen staring out of a window in the mansion. Pence then explains the mansion is haunted because rumours say that there is a girl who appears at the second floor window, even though no one lives at the mansion. The camera then shifts over the mansion, to the window where Naminé can be seen. Roxas will then find himself in a white room with drawings on the wall including Destiny Islands, Kairi, and Axel. Naminé then calls out Roxas' name and he will turn to find that no one is in the room. He then looks at a picture of Axel and then questions if the person beside Axel is him. Naminé then informs him that they are best friends, and Naminé asks him if he wants to know the truth, about who he really is. Roxas then tells her that he does not understand what has been happening lately with all of the strange events occuring. Roxas then walks around looking at the other pictures on the wall, and spots a picture of Sora, Donald and Goofy. Naminé asks Roxas whether if he knows the people in the drawing, and he replies that he does, and that they're from the dreams that he has. Naminé then explains that a year ago, she had to take some of Sora's memories which were chained in his heart, and that now she is putting them back, and that the process of putting the memories back has been affecting Roxas as well. Roxas asks if they are the dreams, and Naminé tells him that he and Sora are connected, and in order for him to be completely whole again, he needs Roxas. The two then sit at the ends of the table, and a familiar scene will be shown for those who have seen the E3 trailers. Roxas will ask Naminé who she is, and she replies that she's a witch who has powers over Sora's memories and those around him. She also mentions DiZ, and she tells him that she does not know why she has the powers. Roxas then tells her that he doesn't feel that he knows himself anymore, and asks Naminé to tell him about the things that he doesn't know about himself. Naminé replies that Roxas was never supposed to exist, and Roxas says that how can she say such a thing. Naminé apologises and says that some things are really better left unsaid. Then the screen goes white. The scene shifts back to Roxas who is staring out into the sky. Pence then asks him if he saw the girl in the mansion, and he replies that he did and tells Pence to look carefully. But no one can be seen in the window, and that it was just the curtains moving. But while Pence is talking, it seems that only Roxas can see Naminé. Pence then suggests that they head back to the Usual Spot, as Hayner and Olette are waiting for them. As the return, Olette asks about the wonder, and Pence replies that the girl in the window was just the wind and the curtain. Olette tells him that the report is finished and asks him if he wants to find Hayner who is at the station. The group head to the clock tower, and Hayner who is sitting on the edge with an ice cream in his hand, tells them that they basically only have two more days left of summer vacation. But it seems that Roxas has other things on his mind. The scene now shifts to the mysterious DiZ and Ansem once again (god, don't you love the broken table? what great furnitiure!) Ansem then asks DiZ why he showed them the train, and he replies that he missed the trip to the beach. DiZ then asks Ansem if his memories are beginning to come back, and he replies that they are. DiZ then tells him that the same thing is happening to everyone who had ties with Sora. Ansem then sits down on a chair and asks DiZ what is it that he wants. DiZ tells him that he wants revenge, and first they must dispose of Naminé. Also, he tells Ansem that Roxas wasn't the only one who wasn't supposed to exist, and he tells Ansem to take care of it. The static screen is shown once again saying "Restoration at 97%". We then see some familiar scenes from the first game, including talking about the end of the world and defeating Ansem, and Ansem's theory about darkness and Kingdom Hearts, and the final events of the game, and a few events from Chain of Memories. After that the screen goes black. The scene now shifts to the familiar beach shown at the beginning of the game. An Organization XIII member tells another that he went to see "him", and that he looks a lot like him. The other member then asks him who he is. Obviously, you should notice that one of the two is Roxas. Then the scene changes to the Another Side scene. Shadows are see rising from the ground and Roxas is seen surrounded by them. After a few more familiar scenes from the secret movie from the first game, Roxas is seen fighting a guy with a blindfold on (Riku?). The blindfolded guy asks Roxas why he has the Keyblade, but Roxas just tells him to shut up, and strikes him with the Oathkeeper. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ " Twilight Town - The 6th Day " TWL6 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 7: The 6th Day >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' .----. Roxas walks into the usual spot and tells his friends that he couldn't sleep last night. While talking to his friends, he realises that they can't hear him, Hayner even rusn through him! What is happening?! Roxas then picks up a photograph that they took at the mansion and discovers that he isn't in the photograph! Once you regain control of Roxas, save at the save point and then head out of the Usuak Spot. Once outside, Axel will appear and inform Roxas that he is hear to take you out if you refuse to come back with him. Roxas then asks Axel whether if they are best friends, and Axel begins to get excited because Roxas is beginning to remember things (well actually, Naminé just told him that). Roxas then tells him that he is, but Axel wants to make sure that he does remember and asks him who his boss' name is. But of course Roxas does not have a clue what the hell Axel is talking about (Damn! Don't you wish that he did? Then you'd know something WAY important!) Disappointed, Axel says that he can't believe that he has to take Roxas out. Roxas then picks up a nearby stick lying on the floor and it transforms into the Keyblade. Axel then summons some Dusks to take you out (OMG how many times have you faced these SOBs?). -------------------------- BATTLE: MYSTERIOUS ENEMIES -------------------------- - Enemy Name: Dusk, Assasin - Location: Back Alley, Twilight Town - Information: Attack and defeat all of the enemies except for Axel! - Experience Awarded: 33 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 3 - Reaction Commands: Reversal (Dusk), Fail-Safe (Assassin) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: You'll face two Dusks and one Assasin in this battle. Use all of the strategies that you have learned up to this point to take them out. This should be an easy fight, just pummel away and use the reaction commands. A new Nobody will appear in this match, they are the Asassin. They tend to glide around under the ground, so most of the time you will have to wait for them to surface until you can get a chance to attack them. When facing them, the reaction command Fail-Safe will appear. Use it to take down the Assassins quicker. After the battle, Axel then readies his pinwheels to fight you, but as the battle begins, everything once again freezes and voice tells Roxas to head towards the mansion, and that the time has come. Confused, Roxas calls his friends' names out while looking up to the sky. After you are finished making faces in front of the frozen Axel, head take the southern exit towards the Sandlot. As you leave, Axel is seen stating that the Roxas whom he knew is gone now. From your current location, take the north- western exit to the tram common. Along the way, you will countlessly encounter Nobodies which you should defeat quickly or completely avoid altogether. You will encounter Dusks as well as Assasins, the flying things. They take about one or two combos to finish and they net you 15 experience points, as well as two HP orbs and 10 Munny. Then run up the ramp in the tram common and enter the hole in the wall to reach the woods. Then make your way through the woods to the entrance of the mansion. There, Roxas will face a few Dusks and then a flashback of Sora using the Keyblade will be seen. So Roxas then gets the idea of using the Keyblade to unlock the gigantic padlock on the gate (well the Keyblade IS a gigantic key), and the gate is unlocked! The Dusks chase after Roxas but are stopped by a Organization XIII member who is weilding a familiar Soul Eater weapon (O.o) Roxas will now be inside the mansion where you can do some exploring. There will be Nobodies roaming around the place, some of them are new. Firstly, we have the Creeper. They look like a pair of feet walking around, but they can also fly around the place. They're not very heard, one or two combos should take them down, and you'll net 6 experience points plus a few large HP orbs! Run all the way to foyer, near the window showing the garden, there is a chest containing a Hi-Potion. Then head to the base of the stairs on the left-hand side of the room and enter the door there to find yourself in a familiar room. Immediately to the left of you, there is a treasure chest containing a Potion, and across the room, another containing an Elven Bandanna. Equip this onto Roxas for the time being as it is probably the best armour that you have at this point in the game. After collecting both chests, make your way back out of the room and head up the stairs and you should immediately see a chest which contains another Potion. Continue up the stairs and then enter the western door on the second floor to reach the White Room. Inside, Roxas will see the familiar room where he talked with Naminé. Roxas then walks around the room and examines some of the drawings which Naminé drew and then recalls a memory. The scene now shifts back to the city from Another Side Another Story. This time, Roxas is seen walking down the street with his hood off. He walks past Axel and asks him why the Keyblade chose him, and that he has to find out. Axel then tells him that he can't betray the Organization. The scene changes back to the White Room and Roxas' head will stop aching. He turns around to find Naminé sitting in a chair behind him. Roxas then tells her that Organization XIII is a bad group, but Naminé tells him that she does not know whether they are bad or good, and also that they are a group of incomplete people who wish to be whole. Hence, they are searching for Kingdom Hearts. Roxas then asks Naminé what will happen to him now, but before Naminé can answer his question, she fades away. Then suddenly DiZ appears and tells him that he does not need to know the answer. But Roxas then argues that he has the right to know, but DiZ then says that a Nobody doesn't have the right to know, and it doesn't have the right to be. Roxas then asks him what a Nobody is, but Ansem then appears and then tells DiZ that they are out of time. Naminé then appears and tells Roxas that Nobodies are only half of a person, and that he won't disappear, and that he'll be whole. Annoyed, DiZ then pulls Naminé away and tells her not to tell him anything. Naminé then tells him that they will meet again, and then they can talk about everything. "I may not know it's you, and you may not know it's me, but we will meet again. Someday soon, I promise" Sounds kinds like the speech that Sora gave at the end of Kingdom Hearts eh? Then DiZ, Naminé and Ansem will then fade away. You'll then receive Naminé's Sketches and the Mansion Map. Now make your way back out into the foyer and run across the second floor. In the middle of the second floor is a treasure chest containing another Potion. Then head towards the door at the eastern end of the room on the second floor. As Roxas enters the room, he will see a table with a Glyph drawn on it. I dunno how, but he finsihes drawing the glyph and a secret stairway is revealed. At the bottom of the flight of stairs, there is a chest with a Hi-Potion for the taking. After raiding the chest, head through the door directly north of the chest. After looking at some of the computers, Roxas will begin to have teh headaches again. The scene now changes, where the Organization XII members can seen sitting in seats. A few familiar faces can be seen including Larxene, Axel, Vexen and Marluxia, but the main one is Roxas who is seen as well sitting in one of the seats. The previous scene showing the Blindfolded Organization member and Roxas are shown. Roxas then strikes at the guy, but he blocks the blow and then walks up to Roxas, and then the screen fades away. Roxas is then seen lying unconscious with DiZ and Ansem talking to each other. Ansem asks DiZ if his plan will work, and DiZ tells him that it will if they can mantain the simulated town until Naminé finishes chaining together Sora's memories. Ansem will then ask DiZ what will happen to Roxas, and DiZ informs him that he holds half of Sora's power within him, but in the end he will have to give it back. But until then, he will need another personality to throw off his pursuers. After that DiZ activates a machine and Roxas is warped away. Roxas then begins to get annoyed and pulls out the Keyblade and destroy computers and then a door will open. You now regain control of Roxas after that rather informative cutscene about Roxas' past. Save your progress at the save point and then head through the newly opened door. As you enter the room, you will encounter some enemies. -------------------------- BATTLE: MYSTERIOUS ENEMIES -------------------------- - Enemy Name: Dusk, Assasin - Location: Mansion: Basement Hall, Twilight Town - Information: Use the mysterious Keyblade to defeat all of the enemies! - Experience Awarded: 66 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 6 - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: You'll face four Dusks and two Assasins in this battle. Use all of the strategies that you have learned up to this point to take them out. This should be an easy fight, just pummel away and use the reaction commands. Axel then gets pissed, you I guess now you're really gonna fight him. Axel then creates a ring of fire, and then Roxas then pulls out the Oathkeeper and the Oblivion Keyblades. Axel is then surprised tosee two Keyblades, but then pulls out his pinwheels, a familiar scene in many of the TGS and E3 trailers. Boss time! ---------- BOSS: AXEL ---------- - Boss Name: Axel - Location: Mansion: Basement Hall, Twilight Town - Information: Use the Keyblade to defeat Axel! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: Overtaker, Clear Light, Burst Edge - Spoils: Maximum HP Increase - Strategy: Firstly, Axel makes the entire floor on fire, but don't fret, it won't damage you, it's ust there it make him look cool. Immediately run in and begin to smash him with your two Keyblades. After a while, a reaction command will be able for use. Quickly press the TRIANGLE button to use the Overtaker reaction command, where Roxas will fight Axel and then hit him down to the ground. While he is down, quickly press TRIANGLE again to unleash another reaction command called Clear Light where Roxas strikes Axel into the air finishing him off and also removing the wall of fire. Also, I should point out that if you make contact with the wall of the fire, you will lose some health. The best way that I found to get the Overtake command to appear is to jump in the air and then begin mashing away landong combos at Axel. Axel has a few attacks that can do quite a bit of damage to you. Some of the attacks you have seen in the previous battle with him, but some of them are new. When you are far away from him, Axel can throw his pinwheels at you to deal some damage. On attack which is used frequently is an attack where Axel jumps outside the wall of fire. This is usually used after he has sustained quite an amount of damage. He will rush through the wall of fire striking at you, dealing some damage to you. Sometimes, he'll also jump from above you, and he'll slam the ground dealing damage if you're withing the radius. While he is doing this attack, you can press TRIANGLE to use the Burst Edge reaction commmand which will deal some damage to him. Aside from those attacks, Axel also, throws around his flaming pinwheels and sends flames pillars at you. Axel will deal some damage, so heal if you feel that you need to. Well we did get like 10 Potions in the past hour didn't we??? After the battle, the scene shifts back to the conversation between Axel and Roxas before he left the Organization XIII. Axel warns him that if he leaves, they will never forgive him, but Roxas tells him that no one would miss him. But the Axel says that he would (awww). The scene shifts back to the aftermath of the battle, and Axel tells Roxas to meet him again in the next life, and Roxas tells him that he'll be waiting. Axel then laughs and then fades away. You'll regain control of Roxas, head to the door in the south-western corner of the room. Roxas will walk down the hall, and then he notices the pods which hold Donald and Goofy. You regain control of Roxas once again, so open the nearby treasure chest for a Hi-Potion. Then enter the door at the end of the hall. Roxas will walk towards the center of the room, and DiZ will appear and say that the Keyblade's chosen one has arrived. Angry, Roxas asks DiZ who he is talking to, him or Sora. DiZ replies that he is talking to half of Sora, and that Roxas resides in the darkness. DiZ then reveals that he needs someone who can move about in the realm of light and destroy Organization XIII. Roxas then asks him who he is, and DiZ replies that he is a servant of the world, and that Roxas is a tool. Pissed, Roxas charges at DiZ and attempts to strike at him, but he runs straight through him. DiZ then tells him that Roxas is only seeing a data-based projection of him. Annoyed, Roxas hacks away at the hologram, and then the projection warps behind him. Roxas tells him that he hates DiZ, but DiZ tells him that he should share his hatred with Sora. Angry, Roxas tells him that his heart belongs to him, and he charges at DiZ. Then, the chamber in the center of the room opens up, and a touching scene is shown. The Kingdom Hearts II logo is shown and now the game really begins! ~~~ =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ Twilight Town ~'*'~ TWLT --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 8: Twilight Town >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' Tower: Wardrobe .----. .´ `. | __ | | ( ) | | ¯¯ | [17] .´ `-(22) .----. .´ [17] Sorcerer's Loft | ___ | |(S)[(B)] | | ¯¯¯ (21) `. .´ `[16]´ |[16]| |====| |====| |====| |====| |====| Tower: Wayward Stairs |====| |====| |====| |====| |[15]| .----. .´ O O[15] | O O | Tower: Moon Chamber | | | O O | `. King Mickey is then seen walking out of the train, strangley in the Organization XIII robes! Sora then sees Roxas, but is then awoken by Donald and Goofy. The chamber pod opens up and our hero makes a return! Goofy then asks when thet went to sleep, but they don't seem to remember anything about the events in Chain of Memories. Goofy then asks Jiminy to take a look at his Journal, and he tells them that the words "thank Naminé" can only be seen. But it seems that they don't even know who Naminé is. You will then gain control of our hero Sora, as you do, the game will explain that all of the abilities and items which gained have all been transferred to Sora, and that you can check Jiminy's Journal for hints on what to do next in the game. Sora will be standing in front of the mansion gates (lol, doesn't he look so anorexic?!) . Before we head into Twilight Town, make a detour and turn around and head into the front yard of the Mansion. As you pass the gates, to the left of you there is a treasure chest containing Potion. Then head to the doors of the mansion, notice how you can't go back in the mansion. To the right of the doors is another treasure chest containing a Mythril Shard. I should point out now that in KH2, in each world there is a list of all of the treasure chests that you have opened. The list is in Jiminy's Journal, and collecting every treasure chest will play a vital role in getting Sora's Ultima Weapon. After collecting those two treasure chests, make your way to the woods. Sora and his friends will then be at the Usual Spot, and Sora tells Donald and Goofy that the Usual Spot looks familiar to him. The group are given a "warm" welcome from Hayner, and then Pence notices that the gang isn't from Twilight Town. Hayner, Pence and Olette then introduce themselves, and Sora, Donald, and Goofy introduce themselves as well. Olette then tells them that they just someone who was looking for them, and that the character wore a black coat on, and that he had big round ears. The three then wonder who the person is, and then Donald then realise it must be the King. Sora then asks Pence where he saw him, and he tells Sora that they met him at the Station. So I guess you have to go to the station now. Save at the save point nearby, and then make your way to the alley. But before we go to the station, let's go and do some exploring. Make your way to the Station Heights, and head down the ramp. There are now stores open where you can buy items. To the left there is a weapon shop selling a Hammer Staff (100), and an Adamant Shield (100). To the right there is an item shop selling Potion (40), and Tent (100). If you have some money to blow, buy the two weapons for Donald and Goofy, or stock up on a few Potions. After stocking up on items, run into the Tram Common area. There are quite a number of items in this area, so let's begin searching! As you enter, behind the Synthesis Shop, beisde the entrance with a gigantic number four above it, there is a treasure chest containing a Potion. Return to the entrance of the area, and then head up the stairs to your left. Proceed up the path until you encounter a bridge which leads to the roof of a building to your right. Cross the bridge and on the roof of that bullding there is a chest containing a Mythril Shard. After opening the chest, run to the eastern side of the building, and you shold be able to see a little brick bridge which connects the building with another. Cross the birdge and on the other buidling is another chest with another Mythril Shard. Return to the main path and head down the stairs, at the base of the stairs there is a chest containing a Tent. Then jump onto the green roof of the building behind this chest. Head straight down, jumping over the gap, and then run all the way down the third green roof. Once you reach the wall, jump onto the small blue ledge and then onto the blue roof. On top of the blue roof, there is a chest containing an AP Boost. Use this on Sora if you want to (you should use all of the Boost items on Sora and not Donald or Goofy). From your current position, you should be able to see another chest, so jump off the roof, and run towards the entrance to the woods. Nearby, there is a chest containing a Potion. Then jump to the lower are to your right, and in the corner next to a lamp is a chest containing a Hi-Potion. Aside from treasure chests, there is also an Accessory shop located left from the entrance from the Station Heights. Currently, they only sell Ability Rings (80). There is also an armour shop located directy across from the accessories shop. They sell: Elven Bandanna (100), and Shadow Anklet (150). After collecting the chests in the Tram Common, head to the hole in the wall and enter it to reach the Woods. Vivi can be seen walking aorund in the area. From your starting position, run forawrd until you see a chest with a Potion. Then hug the eastern wall, close to the entrance of the mansion is a chest Hi-Potion for the taking. Continue to hug the wall (don't go into the mansion), and to the left of the entrance to the mansion is a chest with a Mythril Shard. After collecting the last chest, return to the Tram Common. Make your way to the Sandlot through the south-eastern exit of the Tram Common. As you enter, Seifer will ask Sora if he is here to pick a fight with him. Sora then tells Seifer that he isn't here to fight, but of course Seifer thinks that Sora is a smart-ass. Sora then calss him a jerk (lol), but just as they begin to fight, the Struggle promoter will then suggest to fight in a Struggle match. After a brief conversation, you regain control of Sora. Speak with the promoter and he'll tell you that you actually can't fight Seifer at the moment (and just when you were gonna kick his ass...). Anyway, take the north-western exit out to reach the station heights. We'll now continue with the game :) Head up the ramp and run up the street and make your way to the station plaza. Sora and the gang will head to the entrance of the station, but then will be surrounded by Dusks. Sora will then notice the emblem on the faces of the Dusks and how they look similar to Heartless symbol. He then pulls out his keyblade. Guess it's time to take 'em out! -------------------------- BATTLE: MYSTERIOUS ENEMIES -------------------------- - Enemy Name: Dusk, Creeper - Location: Station Plaza, Twilight Town - Information: Use the mysterious Keyblade to destroy all of the enemies! - Experience Awarded: 202 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 18 - Reaction Commands: Reversal (Dusk) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: Basically the enemies are still of the same difficulty as the time you fought them at the Old Mansion. You can still dodge their attacks using the Reversal reaction command. It won't take too long to defeat all three enemies, generally focus on one at a time. Use the Lock-on feature to your advantage. Aside from Dusks, Creepers will also appear in the battle. At first, you will face 4 Dusks, this is followed by 5 Creepers. This is then followed by 4 more Dusks, and 5 more Creepers. After this point, the battle should end. You should have gained a few levels after this fight! Sora, Donald and Goofy will then get exhausted from taking out the Nobodies. The Dusks then charge at the gang, but are then stopped by the King, a familiar scene from various trailers. The King then tells them to be quiet, and then tells them to board the train and leave town. The King then hands Sora a pouch which looks like Roxas' Munny pouch, and then he runs off. Then Sora will say that the King was locked in the realm of darkness, and now that he is out, it must mean that Riku must be somewhere out there as well. Sora then decides that they should go and look for Riku so that he and Riku can return to Destiny Islands, where Kairi is waiting for them. You will then receive the Munny pouch with 5000 Munny in it as well as the Crystal Orb, and Secret Ansem's Report 2. Sora will then enter the station and buy the train tickets using the Munny from the pouch that the King gave him. Olette will then notice that Sora has the same pouch as her and the others. It makes you wonder how the King got the pouch as if you remember, Ansem was the one stole the Munny pouch from Roxas. You will regain control of Sora, save you progress and then north-eastern corner of the station to find a chest containing a Mythril Shard. Then make your way to the western wall of the station to fin to chests containing a Tent and a Hi-Potion. When you are ready, speak to Donald and tell him that you are prepared to go onboard the train. Sora will then say farewell to Hayner, Pence and Olette. Hayner will then ask him if they have met each other before, and Sora replies that he hasn't, and he then sheds single tear. Olette will then ask whether he is okay, and Sora will reply that he is but he doesn'y know why is did it. Sora then boards the train and it departs. Onboard, Sora will pull out the crystal orb and then tells Donald and Goofy that he is sad. Goofy and Donald then try to cheer him up telling him that they will be back to visit Hayner and the others again. Then a bright light can be seen outside the train, and then the train is seen travelling on magical rails in space. The train then stops and Sora then unboards and looks at the tower shown before him. As they unboard, the train will disappear, and you will be given control of Sora. In front of you to the right is a chest with a Potion. The look left to find another chest nearby containing a Hi-Potion. Walk forwards a little and you'll spot another chest with an ether in it. After that head towards the door where you'll see someone is standing at the doorway. Donald will ask the guy at the door what is happening and he will reply that he sent his lackeys into the tower to see if the master of the tower is as tough as they say. He then goes on to say that the master is a powerful sorcerer, and that he intends on making turn into a Heartless so that the sorcerer can become the guy's bodyguard. Donald will then be surprised at what has told them, and then the guy will reveal that he is working for Maleficent, and that he is going to every world building armies of Heartless. He then turns around and Donald and Goofy recognises the guy as Pete. Sora then asks if they know him, and Goofy tells him that Pete has been causing trouble for ages, and that the King banished him to another dimension a long time ago. Pete then tells them that Maleficent got him out and that Maleficent is going to help him conquer all of the worlds. Sora and his friends then laugh at the idea as they defeated Maleficent already. Annoyed, Pete then summons the Heartless, time for a battle! ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow - Location: The Tower, Tower - Information: Fight alongside your friends and defeat the Heartless! - Experience Awarded: 16 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 8 - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: The 8 Shadows are extremely easy to defeat. Just slash away and finish the battle quickly. After the battle, Sora will ask Pete who lives in the Tower, and he replies that Yen Sid lives in the tower. At the mention of the name Yen Sid, Donald rushes into the Tower alone. Goofy then tells Sora that Yen Sid is the King's teacher, and they then head into the tower as well. To your right there is a chest containing an Ether. Save at the save point and then open another chest nearby containing a Mythril Shard. Then make your way up the stairs. Continue to run up the next flight of stairs where you'll face three Shadows. After quickly disposing of them, enter the room. In the Star Chamber, you'll face more Heartless. ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow - Location: Star Chamber, Tower - Information: Fight alongside your friends and defeat the Heartless! - Experience Awarded: 10 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 5 - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: The Shadows are extremely easy to defeat. Just slash away and finish the battle quickly. After the battle is over, head through the green door and up the next flight of stairs, defeating the 5 Shadows along the way. In the Moon Chamber, you'll begin another match. ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow, Soldier - Location: Moon Chamber, Tower - Information: Fight alongside your friends and defeat the Heartless! - Experience Awarded: 58 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 9 - Reaction Commands: Cyclone (Soldier) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: The Shadows are extremely easy to defeat. Just slash away and finish the battle quickly. There will also be Soldiers present in this battle, but it won't be difficult so let them taste the power of the Keyblade. You can also use the reaction command Cyclone on the Soldiers to mkae the battle easier. After the battle, Sora will conclude that the worlds aren't at peace as there are Hearltess running around the place. After that enter the brown door, and run up the next flight of stairs defeating the 2 Soldiers and 3 Shadows along the way. In the next room, Donald and Goofy will bow to Yen Sid. Yen Sid will ask Sora if he has seen the King and Goofy then tells him that they did meet him but they didn't get a chance to speak with him. Yen Sid then explains that the King has been quite busy recently. Yen Sid then tells them that they have another quest ahead of them, but Sora then tells him that he was looking forward to looking for Riku so that they can return to Destiny Islands. Yen Sid then replies that he already knew and that everything will be connected in his journey. Yen Sid then hands them a book they have to study carefully. You will be given control of Sora. Save at the save point and then open the treasure chest for the Tower Map. Then examine the book on the desk to learn some valuable information for your upcoming quest. Here is what the book contains. -------------- The Beginnning -------------- Each journey gives rise to chance encounters, and each encounter brings forth farewell. When a farewell laseds to a journey, the worlds open their hearts. Those chosen by the light, or ensnared by darkness. Friends who share the same bonds, though their paths may differ. When you doubt the path trod thus far, when the hand you held is lost to you, gaze anew at the heart that once was... For all the answers are within. --------- Interlude --------- A long dream. A sad farewell, hanging in the air in that "world between". What is reality? What is illusion? The path chosen by the young boy leads to his memories. When caught in the stream of the days and nights going past, gaze anew at your steps... For there all confusion will end. ---------------- The Future Story ---------------- Will the day come when this battle, born of confusion, will end? It is different things to different people. Can the reality be that which is hidden? The reason is mere existence. Still, memories can be believed. Be not afraid. Entrust your body to the soothing waves of your memories. By and by, your fleeting rest will be over... and everything will begin. After finsihing reading the book, speak with Yen Sid and choose "Actually..." to initiate a cutscene. Sora will then ask Yen Sid why the Heartless are present and he will reply that while darkness exists in a single heart, there will be Heartless present. Yen Sid will then inform them that the Heartless are always lurking and seeking to capture new hearts. He also tells Sora and the others about the Nobodies and how they are formed. Also, he will tell Sora and the others about Organization XIII, and how they are all Nobodies who are all very powerful, and they command the Nobodies. Yen Sid then tells Sora that the King is travelling from world to world to find the answer to what the Nobodies' and Organization XIII's goal is. Sora then concludes that they must go and search for the King, as he must know where Riku is. [this document is copyrighted to Spirit_Slash3r. In any case that the name of the author isn't my own, this document is then considered plagerized and ripped. Immediately report to Velvet_Nightmar3@hotmail.com]Yen Sid then tells Sora that he should go and get some bigger clothes. Head through the big green door where you will meet the three good fairies. Open the chest next to the green door for a Mythril Stone and then speak with the red fairy, and you'll watch a familiar scene similar to the one in Sleeping Beauty where they fight over which colour to make Sora's clothes. He then gets some crazy black garments. The three faries then introduce Sora to the Drive concept, and you'll be given the Star Seeker Keyblade, and the Valor Form. Once you regain control of Sora, you can press the START button for a short tutorial about Abilities and the Drive Form. Return to the room where Yen Sid is and Donald will spot the Gummi Ship. Yen Sid then tells them that the world have returned to their original states and therefore the pathways between the worlds have disappeared, but the worlds have created new pathways for them to travel. The group then run off to board the Gummi Ship. Meanwhile, the fairies spots a crow standing on top of Maleficent's cloak. They then rush to tell Yen Sid, and Maleficent then emerges from the cloak. Hrmmm. It seems that she's back! On the world select menu, Sora and the gang will see that there is only one world that they can choose, so select it and head to Hollow Bastion. You can also save your game by pressing the START button at this point. =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ Hollow Bastion ~'*'~ HLW1 --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 9: Hollow Bastion >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' .-----. .-´ .--'¯¯¯¯¯¯. .'.´ . ---' ( .--. .´ [3] .--./ .´ .´ ---. .´ | \.´`. | ^ | `./ | | | | '----------\ |`.´ `. | `.___`._.´ `. | ^ .----.´ `.`.´`..´ .´ | | .´ .´ / | | .-----.´.`. .´ ^ |==| |.´.' / | | |==|==|==| `.´ | Bailey | |==|==|==| | ^ | | | | '-----'------. .' | | | [3] .-' '---. | (5)|---. He then gets upset as he begins to believe that Sora did defeat her, and also that his plan is now ruined. But then Maleficent's crow is shown and it perches on the balcony of the castle and Pete is surprised to see it. The screen then fades out. Sora, Donald, and Goofy enter Hollow Bastion and notice that the castle has now collapsed and the town is being rebuilt. But they then soon notice that there are Heartless running around the place. Once you regain control of Sora, head down the steps in front of you, and to your left is the accessory shop. Currently they only sell Ability Ring (80). To the right of the shop is the armour shop. They currently sell: Elven Bandanna (100), and Shadow Anklet (150). Further down the path is the weapons shop, here they sell Hammer Staff (100), and Adamant Shield (100). If you have any spare Munny, go and buy one of the two weapons as they will really help you early in the game. Make your way up the stairs, and as you approach the huge building, there will be a brief introduction to synthesizing shops. By now you've probably obtained one type of material, so speak with the moogle, and if you have, it will reward you with an Elixir. Synthesizing will be a very important factor to your success later in the game, so collect materials and regularly stop at synthesizing stores to obtain rewards for your progress. To the left of the synthesizing shop is the items shop. They basically sold what was in the Twilight Town item shop, Potion (40), Ether (120), and Tent (100). Stock up on a few Potions if you like and then approach Scrooge who is standing opposite of the two shops. Donald will notice that it is his uncle, and Goofy will inform Sora that he is Donald's uncle, and also, before the Heartless appeared, he traveled the worlds with the King. Scrooge then tells you that he is upset because he can't recreate his favourite ice-cream. Speak with Scrooge again, and he will tell you that Leon and the others are at Merlin's House. Head down the stairs and into the next area. As the three enter the next area, they are greeted by Yuffie but then encounter Nobodies. ---------------- BATTLE: NOBODIES ---------------- - Enemy Name: Dusk, Samurai - Location: The Borough, Hollow Bastion - Information: Defeat the Nobodies! Using reaction commands with TRIANGLE will make the battle easier! - Experience Awarded: 168 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 8 - Reaction Commands: Reversal (Dusk), Duel Stance (Samurai) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: Dusks by now will be extremely easy to defeat. In this match, you will face 6 Dusks in the beginning. Quickly dispose of them, and then you will face Samurais. They are more harder to defeat, but not impossible. You can use the reaction command Duel Stance on the Samurais. When unleashed, you will have to search through your menu to find the option The End to unleash major damage on the enemy. But if the Samurai uses The End first, you take the damage and the duel finishes. You can use this match as a worthy opportunity to use Sora's Valor Form as in the upcoming battle, you won't be able to use the Drive function. After the battle, Sora asks whether if Yuffie has seen the King or Riku, but she tells him that she hasn't. Sora then does a crude impersonation of Leon, and Yuffie tells them that everyone is working at Merlin's House. You then receive the Marketplace Map. As you run around the Borough, you will encounter Heartless and Nobodies. First up we have the Soldier, you previously fought these guys already. They appeared in KH1, and aren't very hard to kill. Killing them net you 12 experience points, a few HP orbs, and 10 Munny. Shadows also make frequent appearances in this area as well. One combo should be enough to defeat these guys, rewarding you with 3 experience points, 1 small HP orb, and 2 Munny. Continue down the path and eventuall you will reach Merlin's House. To the right of the door is a chest with a Hi-Potion for the taking, open it and then enter the house. As you enter, Yuffie will introduce you to the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee. Leon then tells Sora that recently, everyone began to remember them, but Sora is then disappointed as this meant that they forgot about them as well. Yuffie then asks where the gang have been up to, and Goofy tells her that they have been sleeping. Sora then tells them that they are searching for the King and Riku and whether if any of them have seen them, but they shake their heads. Leon then tells Sora and the gang that Hollow Bastion has been infested with Nobodies and Heartless. Leon then tels Sora to follow him to the Bailey as there is something that he needs to see. Merlin then appears and asks Aerith if she has given them the cards. She then remembers and gives Sora a membership card to the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee. Merlin will ask Sora about his magic, but Sora will not seem to remember about it. Yuffie then suggests maybe that he forgot all of it while he was asleep. You then receive the Membership Card, and Blizzard Element. A short introduction to magic will be shown. After that, save your progress, at the save point. This point, press START to read a brief tutorial about MP Charge, the new concept to KH2. Basically, unlike in KH1 where there was a bar and you could use magic whenever you wanted as long as you had sufficient MP, in KH2 you will have to use magic more wisely as everytime you use magic, a bar will appear which you will have to wait to fill before you can use magic a second time. Items such as Ether will quickly make the bar fill quicker. After reading the tutorial, head out of Merlin's House. Make you way down the path to the right and you will find a chest containing a Tent. Continue along the path, heading up the stairs. After reaching the upper level, run straight and jump onto the ledge next to the large crane to find a chest containing AP Boost. Return to the upper level, and continue down the path to find another chest with a Drive Recovery. Head to the exit, to the right of the exit is another chest containing Mythril Shard. After collecting the final treasure chest, take the exit in front of you into the Bailey. Leon will be seen looking out of the balcony, and he will tell Sora to look out of the balcony. You will then see that the castle is surrounded by A LOT of Heartless. Leon then tells Sora that they want to restore Hollow Bastion to its former glory but they need Sora's help to rid Hollow Bastion of all the Hearltess. Leon asks Sora whether he knows why there are so many Heartless appeaing. Sora replies that Pete is the one who is responsible for the frequent appearance of Heartless. But there are also the Nobodies and Organization XIII. But as they are speaking of Organization XIII, a voice from Organization XIII is heard. Then suddenly Nobodies appear, but only Sora will be available in this battle. ---------------- BATTLE: NOBODIES ---------------- - Enemy Name: Dusk, Samurai - Location: The Borough, Hollow Bastion - Information: Fight together with Leon and defeat the Nobodies while protecting the gates! The battle is over if the gauge is empty! - Experience Awarded: 256 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 15 - Spoils: Fire Element - Strategy: In this battle, you will have to defeat the Heartless that attack the gates. When the gauge located on the top-left corner of the screen runs out, it's game over, so try and finish this battle as quick as possible. You will notice that only Sora and Leon are in this battle, and Donald and Goofy are not. This means that you will not be able to use the Drive ability. You will initially face 5 Dusks, followed by 2 Creeepers and 2 Samurai. This is followed by 4 more Dusks and 2 Samurai. Use all of the strategies for the enemies which you have learned so far to win this match. Be sure to use the Potions obtained to heal when you are low on health. After the battle, the voice states that the Keyblade is a marvellous weapon, Sora then tells him to show himself. The Organization XIII members then emerge on top of the building. Sora then decides to use this opportunity to take them all out, but they then disappear. Donald runs out to chase them but is stopped by one of the members. Sora then tells the member to get out of the way, but of course being stubborn, he won't budge. The Organization XIII member also mentions "him" and how "he" gave the exact same look, this makes Sora a little confused. After saying a few words, the Organization XIII member disappears. Sora then discovers that his membership card is the gate that leads to the next world. Sora unlocks the gate in a "Keyblade fashion" and you will receive Secret Ansem's Report 7. You will automatically taken the World Map. Chip and Dale will notice that Twilight Town has now disappeared. A brief introduction to the Gummi Routes will be shown. Basically it is very similar to the Gummi Ship system in the first game. You have to clear the route for future use, but the main difference is that the Gummi Ship mini-games are a lot better! From this point, we have a choice of two worlds, so I will choose one of the two. At this point, you don't have to choose the world that I choose, but I do recommend it as it is particularly easier compared to the other one. Have your Gummi Ship choose the Asteroid Sweep door and press TRIANGLE to proceed through to the Asteroid Sweep. Select the Highwind as it is the only Gummi Ship available at this point and proceed onwards. Basically all youn have to do is mash the X button and collect the powerups! If you hold down the X button, you can unleash a laser which will strike all of the enemies locked-on. The laser will generally kill the enemies in one shot. Be on the lookout for enemies that will drop Gummis. In this level, Gummis which can be obtained are Gravity, Thunder/G, Fire/G, Blizzard/G, Material/G x10, Neon Bar/G, Square Light/G, Flat Helm/G, and Typhoon/G. After completing the level, Mission Levels 1 and 2 will be unlocked, and you will obtain the Highwind Lv. 1 Blueprint. Also, if you obtain one of the high scores (from S-E), you can obtain Pattern Skins A, Neon Orb/G, Mini- Propeller/G, Fira/G, Thundara/G, and Laser Upgrade. Select the Land of Dragons as your next destination. =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ The Land of Dragons ~'*'~ TLOD --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 10: The Land of Dragons >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' / \ .--´ `--. || || || || () () || || Palace gate || || |'--. .--'| ¯¯¯|=====|¯¯¯ |=====| |=====| |=====| | [9] | .--------' [9] '--------. | | | | | | Imperial Square | | | | | | '--------. Sora, Donald, and Goofy will meet Mulan, errmm I mean Ping, and Mushu. Ping tells the gang that he is joining the Imperial Army, but Goofy says that Mulan is pretending to be a boy. You'll then have to switch one of your party members out in order to have Ping in your party. I suggest you switch Donald out, as he is hopeless without any MP. A brief introduction to the "Party" command in the main menu will be shown. After reading the introduction, turn around, and you will notice there is a save point to your left. There are also three chests in this area, they contain Ether, Mythril Shard, and Hi-Potion. There is also a moogle shop in this area. Currently they have quite a variety in stock: Elven Bandanna (100), Fire Bangle (150), Blizzard Armlet (150), Thunder Trinket (150). Abas Chain (250), Potion (40), Ether (120), Tent (100). Aside from buying items, use this opportunity to drop off any new synthesis materials which you have collected. Then make your way to the next area. In the encampment, run onwards and a cutscene will trigger. You'll watch an amusing scene where Ping acts "manly" (lol). There will be a fight in the lunchline, but Li Shang will come and restore order. Suddenly, the Heartless will appear. ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow, Nightwalker - Location: Encampment, The Land of Dragons - Information: Defeat all of the Heartless! Don't let the morale gauge run out! The morale gauge will drop each time Ping is hit! - Experience Awarded: 68 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 7 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: This is an interesting battle. Very similar to Dynasty Warriors for those who have played it. What you have to do to is defeat the Heartless and collect the orbs that they drop. This will increase the gauge shown on the top-left corner of the screen. If Ping is hit, the gauge will decrease, and if it decreases to zero, you lose the match. Initially, you will fight Shadows, but Nightwalkers will soon appear. They look like this Chinese ghost things that jump (if play Ragnarok Online or watch Anime, you'll understand what I mean). They aren't that hard to defeat, but they do require more effort compared to the Shadows. Focus on maintaining the Morale gauge at the highest amount as possible, making sure you always collect the large orbs. After the battle, Li Shang will ask Sora, Donald, and Goofy to join his army, but sadly, he does not ask Ping to join, instead telling him to go home. Sora however, insists that the Li Shang give Ping a chance. Li Shang then decides to make them be the scout party to find Shan-Yu's army. After the conversation, you will receive the Encampment Area Map. That the northern exit in the encampment to reach the checkpoint. To the eastern portion of this area, there is a chest containing a Mythril Shard. And in the northern portion of the checkpoint is a chest containing a Hi-Potion. After collecting the two chests, return to the encampment and speak with Li Shang. You will then be prompted to choose a mission. You'll have to do all three to proceed on with the game. ------------------- The Surpirse Attack ------------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow, Nightwalker - Location: Checkpoint, The Land of Dragons - Information: A strange figure was seen at the Checkpoint! Head there quickly and defeat the enemy! Defeat the Heartless at the Checkpoint! - Experience Awarded: 160 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 15 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: This fight is very similar to the previous one. Once again, you will be required to maintain the morale guage at its fullest, avoiding taking any damage so that the gauge does not decrease. Initially, you will face 2 Nightwalkers, but after defeating them, 4 Shadows and 2 more Nightwalkers will appear. This is then followed by 6 more Shadows and 1 more Nightwalker. Use the same strategies from the previous battle to defeat these guys. The battle should not last long. ---------- The Ambush ---------- - Enemy Name: Shadow, Nightwalker, Assault Rider - Location: Checkpoint, The Land of Dragons - Information: A mob is heading for the Checkpoint. Stop them while keeping an eye out for strange enemies! Defeat the Heartless at the Checkpoint! - Experience Awarded: 220 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 12 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: You will initially fight 5 Shadows. Quickly dispose of them and 3 Nightwalkers will spawn. Use your aerial combos to also quickly defeat them, and 2 Assault Riders will appear. These guys will pose a threat if you just charge in and attack them. They will almost always spin their spears, which will damage anyone nearby. If you want to play it safe, you can lock-on to them and just continuously cast Blizzard, or run up close to them and cast Fire. Otherwise, you can just charge in and attack using aerial combos and running out when you see those spears starting to spin! ---------- Encampment ---------- - Enemy Name: Shadow, Nightwalker - Location: Encampment, The Land of Dragons - Information: It seems the enemy has invaded the camp. Defeat every enemy you encounter! Defeat the hidden Heartless! - Experience Awarded: 72 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 8 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: This can be a tedious battle. Your main objective is to run around the encampment looking for the Heartless. The problem is that you must defeat all of the hiding Heartless before the morale gauge completely runs out. The bestway to find the hidden Heartless is to constantly press the R1 to see if you lock-on to anything. In this battle, you will have to defeat a total of 8 Heartless, 5 Shadows, and 3 Nightwalkers. After completing all three missions, Li Shang will reward you with an AP Boost. Ping will ask Li Shang whether he has proven that he is able to join the army, but Li Shang tells him that he has improved a little. Agreeing with him, Ping then requests that Li Shang give him one more assignment. After regaining control of Sora, you might want to head back to the Bamboo Grove and save your game. Afterwards return to the encampment and speak with Li Shang. He will tell you that your mission is to secure the path over the summit so that the soldiers can all safely pass. He also tells you that he has given you permission to be let through to the summit. Make your way to the checkpoint area, and then take the northern exit to reach the . As you enter, you see Shan-Yu's falcon, Hayabusa flying around the mountain path. After the cutscene finishes, you will have to fight another battle. :( ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow, Nightwalker, Soldier, Assault Rider - Location: Mountain Trail, The Land of Dragons - Information: Hurry to the mountain summit! Don't let the morale gauge run out! What will make the morale gauge drop? It's a surprise! - Experience Awarded: 472 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 22 - Reaction Commands: Cyclone (Soldier), Rockshatter - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: Once again, you will have to maintain the morale gauge at its fullest. You will begin by facing 2 soldiers and 1 nightwalker, quickly defeat them and then move on. You will be faced will a rock wall which you can use the reaction command Rockshatter to break the rock wall and move one. You will then face 3 more Nightwalkers, after defeating all three, rockshatter the next rock wall. When you reach the fork, take the right path and 2 Nigthwalkers will ambush you, quickly defeat them, and head jump to the higher level to find a chest on a platform containing a Mythril Shard. From where you are in front of the chest, move the camera until you see a chest, to the left of you on the lower level. The chest contains a Hi-Potion, while you are heading towards the chest you will be ambushed by 2 more Nightwalkers. After opening the chest and defeating the enemies, continue running down the lower path, and you will encounter 2 Soldiers and a Nightwalker. You can use the Cyclone reaction command on the Soldiers to quickly defeat them. Continue down the path, then jump to the higher platform to your left for 2 chests containing an Ether and a Recovery Recipe. As you grab the treasures, 3 Soldiers will ambush you. Take them out and then jump off the platform and head to the rock wall nearby. As you approach the wall, 2 Assault Riders will appear. Quickly take it out using Blizzard or using combos and then use rockshatter to break the rock wall down. After that, run to the next area to finish the battle. Also, I should point out that you DON'T have to collect the chests in this battle, you can run and complete the battle first and then return to collect the chests if you have any difficulties finsihing the match on time. After the battle, Li Shang will finally notice Ping's skills and let's him join his troops. Mushu will then tell the group that he saw Shan-Yu, and he suggests that they go find Shan-Yu by themselves so that Li Shang will notice and praise Ping as a soldier. Mushu then tells them that Shan-Yu is in a cave nearby. You will then receive the Village Area Map. At this point, if you ignored all of the chests in the previous battle, you can return to the Mountain Trail and go collect all four chests. In the village, the moogle shop located in the Bamboo Grove will now be moved to the village. He still sells the same items as before: Elven Bandanna (100), Fire Bangle (150), Blizzard Armlet (150), Thunder Trinket (150). Abas Chain (250), Potion (40), Ether (120), Tent (100). Use this opportunity to also drop off any synthesis materials which you have obtained. Then head north past the gates, and to your left is a save point which you should use to save your progress. After saving your game, make your way to the north-eastern exit to reach the Village Cave. In the cave, there is a wagon which you destroy for a few Drive Recovery orbs. Behind it is a chest containing a Hi-Potion. Destroy the second wagon to find a chest containing an AP Boost. After opening the chests, continue down the path to reach the main area. The gang will realise that it is a dead end and that there is no one inside the cave. But as they attempt to leave the cave, a barrier is put up by Shan-Yu, and Sora, Ping and Mushu are trapped inside. Heartless then appear, fighting time! ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow, Assault Rider - Location: Village Cave, The Land of Dragons - Information: Defeat all of the Heartless! Fight alongside Ping! - Experience Awarded: 168 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 15 - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: Slide Dash (Sora), Maximum HP Increase (Ping), Hyper Healing (Ping) - Strategy: You will begin by facing 12 Shadows and an Assault Rider. Focus on taking out the Assault Rider first as it is the main threat in this battle. You should avoid using magic on the Assault Rider as it will probably strike the Shadows which will get in the way. Let Ping take care of the Shadows, while you strike away at the Assault Rider. If you get damaged by the Assault Rider, be sure to use the Aerial Recovery ability by pressing CIRCLE while in the air to continue to strike it. Do not worry if you take in a lot of damage, defeating the Assault Rider will yield you a few large HP orbs. After that, defeat the rest of the Shadows, you shouls be able to take out a few of them in one combo, a good way to defeat them is to use Fire while you are surrounded by the. After defeating all of the Shadows, two Assault Riders will spawn. You can now safely defeat them by using Blizzard and Fire as there are no more Shadows which will interfere you. The barrier will disappear and the group will rejoin, and decide to reoprt to the captain. Mushu then tells them to report that they defeat a huge number of Heartless, and this should make Li Shang recognise Ping's talent. Make your way out of the cave, and the group will discover that the village has been burned down to the ground while they were away. Li Shang will then tell the group that Shan-Yu's troops headed to the summit, and Ping then decides to go after Shan-Yu's troops. Save your progress and then take the north-western exit to reach the Ridge. In the new area, there will be a new Heartless that will appear, they are the Rapid Thruster. They are not heard to defeat, one aerial combo is generally sufficient to take them out. Defeating them will reward you will 4 experience points. Aside from Rapid Thrusters, Shadows will also make their appearance in this area. There are two chests in this area which are not hard to find. They contain a Hi-Potion, and another AP Boost. Bbe sure to use the AP Boosts obtained so far on Sora so that you can equip most of Sora'a abilities. At this point, youshould be able to equip Guard, Slide Dash, Scan, Aerial Recovery, Combo Boost, and Experience Boost. In the Ridge, there is also a whirlwind which you can use to fly around the area, or use it to defeat the Heartless easier. After having fun riding the wind and soaring, head to the summit. The group will see Shan-Yu and Hayabusa on the summit, surrounded by A LOT (and I mean A LOT) of Heartless! Shan-Yu will then order the Heartless to attack the group. Your party members will all then be switched out, laving you by yourself for the upcoming battle. ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow, Assault Rider - Location: Village Cave, The Land of Dragons - Information: Defeat all of the Heartless! Using reaction commands with TRIANGLE will make the battle easier! - Experience Awarded: N/A (varies) - Number of Enemies: N/A (not gonna count) - Reaction Commands: Speed Trap, Aero Blade, Bolt Reversal (Bolt Tower) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: You will be given one minute to defeat as many Heartless as you can. You will probably be psyched that you will have to face that many, but if you actually look closely, you will notice that most of the Heartless are just in the background, and they cannot be actually hit ;) There are two types of Heartless that you will face in this battle, Rapid Thrusters, and a new Heartless, the Bolt Tower. Use your aerial combos to take out the Rapid Thrusters, you will generally take out a few in one combo. You can also use the Speed Trap reaction command which will ocassionally appear after unleashing a combo to take more enemies. Follow this up with the reaction command Aero Blade to take out even more enemies! Bolt Towers are also very easy to defeat, use normal combos and the reaction command Bolt Reversal to take a large numbers of enemies. It does not matter how many Heartless you defeat, just as long as you survive the battle. After the battle, Shan-Yu himself will run down the summit and attack you. Ping will then ingite the rocket, targetting the mountain nearby casuing an avalanche, taking out Shan-Yu and his army. The group then run away just as the avalanche misses them. Li Shang then discovers that Ping is actually a woman, and he tells them to leave. Li Shang and his army then head to the Imperial Palace where the Emperor is waiting. Mulan will then learn the Dragonblaze which will add the Red Rocket Limit ability into Sora's command menu. A brief introduction to Limit abilities will be shown, be sure to unequip her Auto-Limit ability so that she doesn't waste your MP. Afterwards, return to the previous area. As you leave the summit, you will discover that Shan-Yu is still alive, and that he is heading towards the Imperial City. Mulan then tells Sora that they must warn Li Shang. Then make your way back to the village where you can save your progress, anf then make your way back to the Checkpoint. Once you reach the Checkpoint, head through the exit, which was previously closed, to reach the Imperial Square. If you havn't already, you might want to build up your Drive gauge to level 3 by destroying the wagons in the Checkpoint. As you enter the Imperial Square, Mulan will inform Li Shang about Shan-Yu, but he does not believe Mulan's words. Shan-Yu will then be seen standing on the roof. Sora then tells Li Shang to go and help the emperor while they take out the Heartless. ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Nightwalker, Bolt Tower - Location: Imperial Square, The Land of Dragons - Information: Defeat all of the Heartless! - Experience Awarded: 168 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 7 - Reaction Commands: Bolt Reversal (Bolt Tower) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: You will initially face four Nighwalkers, and three Bolt Towers. Take out the Bolt Towers and let your party take out the Nightwalkers. Use the reaction command Bolt Reversal whenever you have the chance to deal a good amount of damage. The battle should not take long. After the battle, Mulan tells Sora that they must help the emperor. Head into the next area. At the Palac Gates, you will see Shan-Yu. He will hold the emperor at knife-point, but Li Shang will appear and knock him out. Li Shang then carries the emperor into the palace. Shan-Yu then gets up and sees that the group are blocking his way into the palace. Hayabusa lands onto his shoulder and he begins to laugh. ------------------------ BOSS: SHAN-YU & HAYABUSA ------------------------ - Boss Name: Shan-Yu, Hayabusa - Enemy Name: Nightwalker - Location: Palace Gates, The Land of Dragons - Information: Defeat Shan-Yun while guarding the gates! Using reaction commands with TRIANGLE wil make the battle easier! - Experience Awarded: - Number of Enemies: N/A - Reaction Commands: Push (Shan-Yu), Takedown (Shan-Yu) - Spoils: Maximum HP Increase (Sora), Aerial Sweep (Sora), HP Bonus (Donald), Goofy Turbo (Goofy), Maximum HP Increase (Mulan) - Strategy: This battle will be very similar to the one at Hollow Bastion. You will be required to maintain the gauge at the highest amount. Nightwalkers will constantly appear in this battle, defeat them to receive orbs to replenish the gates health gauge. But the main target is Shan-Yu. Lock-on to Shan-Yu and attack away, you will generally encounter a deadlock with him. At this point, you will have to mash the TRIANGLE button so that the reaction command Press can be used. If used successfully, the reaction command Takedown will be available. Unleash this reaction command to deal more damage to Shan-Yu. Shan-Yu will just generally strike at you and resulting in you falling back. Use Aerial Recovery to quickly return to attacking him. Hayabusa will also sometimes strike at you, you can defeat him, but after a while, he will return into battle. To make things easier, you could also use the Red Rocket Limit and the Valor Form. This battle should not be that difficult to finish. Afterwards, the emperor will praise Mulan for her achievements. After a few more words, Sora will discover that Shan-Yu's sword is the gate to opening the route to the next world. You will then receive the Hidden Dragon Keyblade. You will then be taken to the World Map screen. A new route will be opened, and the familiar Olympus Coliseum can be seen. From this point, you can choose to go to Olympus Colisuem, or Beast's Castle. For the sake of simplicity, return to the first fork, and make your way to Beast's Castle. Select Stardust Sweep and play the Gummi Ship mini-game. The items which can be obtained in this level are Heal Upgrade, Blizzard/G, Fire/G, Fire/G, Bubble Helm/G, Fire/G, Material/G x10, Vernier/G, Thunder/G, Blizzard/G, Vernier/G, Thunder/G, Blizzard/G, Typhoon/G, and Neon Orb/G. For completing Stardust Sweep, mission Levels 1 and 2 will be unlocked, and you will also obtain the Highwind Lv. 2 Blueprint. If you obtain a rank (S-E), you can also obtain some bonus items: Pattern Skins B, Rotor/G, Shield/G, Solid Helm/G, Blizzara/G, and Cannon Upgrade. Once you have completed the Stardust Sweep, select Beast's Castle as your next destination. =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ Beast's Castle ~'*'~ CSTL --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 11: Beast's Castle >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' __ .---' '---. |______(21)| |----------| The Beast's Room | | | (S)| '---[12]---' .--[12]-. | | | | | | | | | | | | ------------. They then suddenly hear a roar and realise that it's Beast. Just as Goofy suggests that they should go see him, a Shadow is seen runnig along into a room. Sora, Donald and Goofy then follow the Heartless into the room. As the three enter the room, they find that no one is in the room. Donald then notices a rose placed on a table and approaches it. The Shadows then appear, and you will have to fight them. ----------------- BATTLE: HEARTLESS ----------------- - Enemy Name: Shadow - Location: Parlor, Beast's Castle - Information: Defeat all of the Heartless! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: N/A - Reaction Commands: N/A - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: In this battle, all you will have to do is defeat the Shadows. Shadows now give you 5 experience points instead of 4 experience points, so that's a plus. There isn't a definite number of Shadows that you will face. In this match, you could use Fire to take out multiple enemies to make it easier. You will just have to battle them for a while and the match will eventually end. The party will find themselves surrounded by Shadows, which keep on appearing. They eventually get outnumbered, but then Beasts appears and defeats all of the Shadows. Sora walks up to greet Beast but is then pushed aside as he walks up to the rose on the table. Hmmm it seems that Beast is different from before. Beast then does the same to Donald and Goofy. Beast picks up the rose in Gollum's "My Precious" manner, and then leaves the room. Worried, Goofy asks if he has forgotten who they are, and Sora says that there must be something happening due to the number of Heartless that are there. You will now be given control of Sora once again. In this room, there is a moogle shop. They have an interesting inventory: Ability Ring (80), Sardonyx Ring (160), Silver Ring (160), Potion (40), Ether (120), Tent (100). The items which should catch your attention are the Sardonyx Ring and the Silver Ring. If you have enough, I recommend that you buy the Sardonyx Ring and put it on Goofy, and buy the Silver Ring and put it on Donald. If you have even MORE munny, buy another Sardonyx Ring and equip it onto Sora. If you did this, take the Ability Ring which was initially equipped onto Sora, and equip it onto Donald as he has 2 accessory slots. You can also drop off any new synthesis materials which you have obtained at the moogle shop as well. Afterwards, head out of the room and into the Entrance Hall. As the party enters the Entrance Hall, Donald tells the group that he saw a woman standing on top of the stairs. Goofy then says that the woman must be Belle. Sora then brings up the idea that they should go search for Belle as she might know what has happened to Beast. The screen then shows a flight of stairs indicating that you must go that way to reach Belle. In the Entrance Hall, you will face a new enemy, these are the Hook Bat, which look like bats with a hook on them (some imagination the guy who created this thing had!). They will fly around and swoop at you, if they do this, prepare to use the Bat Cry reaction command to counterattack them. Defeating them will yield you with 12 experience points, 2 munny, and an MP orb. Before we head up the flight of stairs and for Belle, head to the large doorway which the party entered the Castle from to reach the Courtyard. In the courtyard, there is a chest to you left from where you enter containing a Hi-Potion. Directly in front of where you entered is also another chest containing a Mythril Shard. Follow the perimeter to your right to find another chest with an AP Boost for the taking. Remember to use all of the AP Boosts on Sora so that he can equip new abilities! By now, you should be able to equip Aerial Sweep on whether you have any accessories on or not. Equip it on to take out the Hook Bats out easier. With one of the rings obtained so far in the game, you can also equip Magic Lock-On, meaning that you have ALL the abilities learned so far equipped. Use this time to also equip Goofy Turbo onto Goofy if you haven't done so already. At this point, the door in the southern area is locked, so you won't be able to go past this point. Return to the Entrance Hall, and then head up the flight of stairs and take the door on the eastern side to reach the East Wing. The party then enters the East Wing and then listen in onto a conversation in the next room. Donald then barges into the room and is then greeted by Belle. Donald asks Belle where Beast is, and she tells him that he is in the West Wing and also that they do not talk like before. Sora asks her then if something happened, and she tells him that Beast has been acting very strange lately. She also tells them that his servants know what happened to him, but he locked them all up in the dungeon. She then tells them that the dungeon is in the West Hall. Guess you gotta go there now. In Belle's Room, there are two treasure chests containing a Mythril Shard and the Castle Map. There is also a save point in the room which should be used. Afterwards, head out of Belle's Room to reach the East Wing. A familiar enemy makes its return to KH2, and they are the fat-asses; the Large Body. They are JUST AS ANNOYING as they were in the first game. But Square has given us some help this time. Although they will still only be damaged if you hit them from behind, you can now pull off a reaction command on them which will deal a large amount of damage onto them. What you have to do is pull off a successive combo on them, from the behind (that just sounds wrong!), and the final blown should send them flying. At this point, the reaction command Full Swing to deal bonus damage onto them. The fat asses still also charge at you in a rampage, but this can be blocked with the Guard reaction command, followed by the Kickback reaction command, however it will only use this attack when it is low on HP. Defeating one of these will reward you with 58 experience points, as well as a few large Drive Recovery orbs and HP orbs. In the East Wing, there are 2 chests for grabs, one in the middle of the wing containing a Tent, and one at the end of the wing containing a Hi-Potion. After collecting th 2 chests return to the Entrance Hall. In the Entrance Hall, you can take the middle entrance to reach the Ball Room, but there is nothing of interest in there. Therefore, head to the western exit to reach the West Hall. As the party enters the West Hall, they look for a way to enter the Undercroft. After you regain control of Sora, return to the entrance of the West Hall, and you should be able to see 2 chests containing a Hi-Potion, and a Mythril Shard. If your Drive gauge isn't full already, you can destory the suits of armour in this area to receive a few Drive Recovery orbs. Then make your way down the hall, when you reach the huge statue to your right, search this area to find a chest containing a Drive Recovery. If you head up the flight of stairs, you will discover that two suits of armour will block your way from proceeding. You will notice that there is a chest behind the suits of amour, but of course you can't get to it at this point (So close yet so far...). Isn't it funny that Sora, who has defeated Ansem and countless numbers of Heartless, is blocked by 2 suits of armour?! And that he can't do anything?! Well anyway, head back down the stairs and continue down the hall. To the left of the base of the stairs are 2 chests with a Mythril Shard and a Tent. After collecting the last 2 chests, approach and examine the dresser neaby. Sora will then push the wardrobe to the side and discover the entrance to the Undercroft. But wardrobe then moves back in front of the door and goes to sleep. You will then play a little mini-game where the objective is to push the wardrobe out of the way to gain access to the Undercroft. What you basically have to do is use the reaction command Push to push the wardrobe out of the way. But after pressing the TRIANGLE button a few times, the Push reaction command will change to Waken which will result in making the wardrobe move make to the beginning position. A tip is to use Push twice and then wait for the Waken reaction command to disappear and then use Push twice more. Repeating this process will ensure that you finish the mini-game. But you can always just persevere and take the risk and press Push as many times as you like and then stop whenever Waken appears. After completing the mini-game, the wardrobe will awaken and Sora will inform her that Belle told them to go to the dungeon. She then apologises for being in the way, and then tells them that an enchantress changed everyone, and how the prince was changed into a beast. She tells them that she will tell them what happened after they save her friends. After the conversation, head into the Undercroft. The party will enter the Undercroft and find the dungeon doors are actually Heartless! ----------------- BOSS: THRESHOLDER ----------------- - Boss Name: Thresholder - Enemy Name: Hook Bat, Gargoyle Warrior, Gargoyle Knight - Location: Undercroft, Beast's Castle - Information: Defeat the Heartless that's possessing the door! - Experience Awarded: 178 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 12 - Reaction Commands: Release (Thresholder), Bat Cry (Hook Bat) - Spoils: Upper Slash (Sora), Donald Fire (Donald), Maximum HP Increase (Goofy) - Strategy: This will a good fight! Run up to Thresholder, and a Gargoyle Warrior and Gargoyle Knight will appear. You should take them out but make sure you do it away from Thresholder to avoid being damaged. The 2 gargoyles are not that difficult to defeat, just keep unleashing combos on them and you should be fine. Once you defeat the 2 gargoyles 4 Hook Bats will spawn, which you should quickly defeat using your aerial combos and the Bat Cry reaction command. It is best to avoid fighting the Heartless up close to the Thresholder, as you will be likely to take in damage. After defeating the 4 Hook Bats, another wave of 5 Hook Bats will spawn. A good method to defeating the enemies is to lure them to the back of the room, and then jump onto the broken furniture and up onto the balcony. Here, Thresholder will be unable to reach you. After you rid the room of all of the enemies, run up to Thresholder and deplete the rest of its HP. Once this occurs, the reaction command Release will appear. Use this to make Sora release the Heartless which is possessing the door. The Heartless will then fly around the room, lock-on to it and hack away until it eventually returns and possesses the doors once again. Once this occurs, Thresholder will make its return, and now it will throw energy balls around the place. Finish him off by using your Valor Form and quickly dispose of him. If you are unable to use the Valor Form because you do not have enough Drive, collect the Drive Recovery orbs dropped by the Heartless. Head into the dungeon once you are given control of Sora. In the dungeon, the party meet Beast's servants and they discover that someone casted a spell on to them as well. The old woman then turned into an echnatress and turned the prince into a Beast, along with everyone else who was in the castle. Lumiere then tells the party to follow him as he knows a shortcut. In the dungeon, there are two chests cotaining the Basement Map, and an AP Boost. Once you are ready, head out back into the Undercroft. Then make your way up to the balcony by jumping on the broken furniture and then speak with Cogsworth who orders the suits of armour to let you gain access to the door behind them. Then make your way into the next area to reach the Secret Passage. In the Secret Passage, Sora will ask how they will be able to get out of the dungeon. Lumiere then tells him that the exit is concealed by a contraption. Cogsworth will then turn a lever, and a lantern will fall down. They then tell the party that they need to put out the flame of darkness which has already been lit on the lanterns and then let Lumiere light then to make the door open. Sora then suggests that they put out the flames of darkness using his Keyblade. You'll then be told that you can now put out the flames of darkness using the reaction command Sprinkle. Lumiere also tells the party that if Cogsworth's grip runs out, the lanterns will all rise back up. But you can help Cogsworth by using the reaction command Restore to make the lanterns fall down again. Also, I should inform you that you must destroy all of the boxes that you see as Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Chip need to follow you. So head down the path, destroying the boxes, and sprinkle the first lantern. Continue down the path, and destroy the boxes and then sprinkle the second lantern. Continue down the path, heading up the steps, and then take a left to find 2 chests containing a Hi-Potion, and a Mythril Shard. Return to the main path and then destroy the boxes in the way and then sprinkle the final lantern. Sora will then push a brick and the secret door will be revealed. All of the servants thank the party for recuing them and then depart. Cogsworth tells the party that Beast's room is at the end of the West Wing. Head towards the exit and open the chest to your right containing a Mega-Potion. Then head through the exit to return back to the West Hall. You will now be back in the West Hall, behind the suits of armour. There is a chest lying in the middle of the path, but before you open it, a Gargoyle Knight will appear. They aren't generally hard to defeat, use normal combos and they will reward you with 35 experience points, 20 Munny, and a few Drive Recovery orbs. From this point onwards, all of the statues in Beast's Castle will now transform into Gargoyle Knights and Gargoyle Warriors. Open the chest for an AP Boost and then head into the West Wing. In the West Wing, defeat the Heartless that appear and then open the naerby chest for a Tent. Head up the stairs and then open the chest to your right for a Mythril Shard. Afterards, make your way to door and the end of the corridor. In Beast's Room, an Organization XIII member will be shown talking with Beast. Apparently, he is trying to persuade Beast to dispose of Belle. But Beast tells him that he does not want to fight anymore and that he only wants to love and be loved. The party will then apporach the two talking, and then the Organization XIII member will seal the area and then disappear. The party will approach Beast, but it seems that he's pissed, and he shows that by striking at them! ----------- BOSS: BEAST ----------- - Boss Name: Beast - Location: The Beast's Room, Beast's Castle - Information: Help Beast come to his senses! Work with Cogsworth to make his alarm ring and snap Beast out of it! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: Wake Up! (Cogsworth), Charge (Cogsworth) - Spoils: Gained Armour Slot (Sora), Maximum HP Increase (Donald), Defender (Goofy) - Strategy: This will be an extremeley easy boss battle. The goal of this battle is to deplete Beast's HP while pressing TRIANGLE to use the reaction command Wake Up! to have Cogsworth use his alarm on Beast. Focus on taking out Beast's HP, and after finishing a combo, use the reaction command. Once his HP is depleted, you will be prompted to use a final blow. The reaction command Charge will appear, at this point, mash the TRIANGLE button to take him out. If you are unsuccessful to release the final blow, Beast will regain his HP, and you will have to repeat the process. After the battle, Beast will regain his senses, and he will ask Cogsworth what had happened. Donald then tells him that he put all of his servants into the dungeon. Sora then asks Beast who the person he was talking to before, and he tells him that the man's name was Xaldin. Beast then tells them that Xaldin tried to use his anger to control him, and that he took all of his sorrow, sadness, pain, and turned it all into rage. Goofy then tells Beast that he must of put all of his friends into the dungeon in order to protect them. After a few more words, Beast decides to go see Belle, and Beast will then be in your party. You'll be prompted to take out a member, personally, I would take out Donald. To the end of the room is chest containing the Mega-Recipe. After collecting that treasure chest, save your progress and then head out of the room. In the West Wing, defeat any Gargoyle Warriors and Gargoyle Knights which appear, and then make your way to the West Hall. The suits of amour have now moved, so you are now able to head down the stairs and return to the Entrance Hall. In the West Hall, Soldiers make their appearance, but they aren't that difficult to defeat now. Be sure to destroy the suits of amour near the entrance to replenish yor Drive gauge. You will encounter a new Heartless in the Entrance Hall, the Lance Soldier. Generally, they are easy to defeat, but when they are low on HP, they will tend to be more aggressive. When they are, use the reaction command Lance Tug to counterattack them. They will reward you with 35 experience points and 20 Munny. Then make your wat to Belle's Room. When you enter Belle's Room, speak with the wardrobe to discover that Belle ran off looking for the man in black. Save your game, and then return to the Entrance Hall. Beast will then hear Belle's voice, and she calls for help, telling him that she is in the Ballroom. Once you regain control of Sora, head through the middle door in the Entrance Hall. Belle will be seen chased by a Heartless, which will then emerge the whole ballroom in darkness. -------------------- BOSS: SHADOW STALKER -------------------- - Boss Name: Shadow Stalker, Dark Thorn - Location: Ballroom, Beast's Castle - Information: Defeat the Heartless! When it's hiding, attack it and then use a reaction command! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: Release - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: This boss will have two forms, the first is the Shadow Stalker, and the second is the Dark Thorn. Firstly, Shadow Stalker will immediately possess the window in the background. While it is doing this, it will send columns of dark energy across the room, which are extremely hard to dodge. Your best bet is to just take the damage and move on, but hiding behind a pillar seems to help. Shadow Stalker will also possess the chandelier in the middle of the room. When it does, immediately, jump to avoid the shockwave that it sends when it hits the floor. Shadow Stalker will then spin the chandelier, sending lasers around the room. At this point, run up to Shadow Stalker and slash away until its HP depletes. Once this occurs, the reaction command Release will be available. Use the reaction command to release Shadow Stalker from the chandelier. Its third attack is when it possesses the floor. The entire floor will go a dark purple, and a glowing light will be seen. When this light is directly underneath Sora, be sure to jump or else Shadow Stalker will consume Sora dealing damage to him. Its last attack is when it possesses the pillars. The pillars will just strike at you, quickly destroy them to take out its health. Once their health are depleted, you'll once again have to use the Release reaction command. Shadow Stalker will follow this attack pattern in that order. But once you deplete its health, it will change into its second form, the Dark Thorn. Just when you thought it was over. ---------------- BOSS: DARK THORN ---------------- - Boss Name: Dark Thorn - Location: Ballroom, Beast's Castle - Information: Defeat the Heartless! When it disappears, use the powerful reaction command! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: Step Vault, Catch, Pendulum Round, Slingshot - Spoils: Maximum HP Increase (Sora), Retaliating Slash (Sora), Maximum HP Increase (Donald), Gained Item Slot (Goofy), Maximum HP Increase (Beast) - Strategy: Man, doesn't this guy remind you of Dark Ifrit??? Well anyway, you get to see that Dark Thorn will immediately go invisible, lock-on to it and slash away. Using the Valor Form will be a great advantage for you. Continue to attack it until the Step Vault reaction command appears, and then use the reaction command Catch to send Sora onto the chandelier. Once he is on the chandelier, immediately press TRIANGLE to use the Pendulum Round reaction command to creak Dark Thorn's invisiblity. Dark Thorn will generally attack you normally using swipes, but once it is low on health, it will begin to starting spinning vertically around, juggling Sora in the air. Be sure to use Aerial Recovery if this occurs. Also, Dark Thorn will also attempt to throw you at one of the pillars. When this occurs, mash the TRIANGLE button to use the reaction command Slingshot to counterattack it. Afterwards, Xaldin will appear, but as the party attempt to attack him, he disappears. Beast asks what Xaldin wants, and Sora tells him that he is with Organization XIII, and he tells Beast about the Nobodies. Goofy then tells Beast that he probably wanted to make Beast into a Heartless so that they could control the Nobody formed afterwards. Belle then appears out behind the doors, and Beast apologises for his actions earlier. Lumiere then tells the party that if Beast learns to love and be loved in return before the last petal falls, the spell would be broken. The party then discover that the rose the the gate to opening the route to the next world. They then say their farewells and the party depart. You will then receive the Cure Element. On the World Map screen the party will notice the Gummi Ship is moving on its own to Hollow Bastion. =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ Hollow Bastion (2nd Visit) ~'*'~ HLW2 --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== . . / \ / \ ) ( ) ( |¯|_______________________________________________________________________|¯| |||¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯||| ||| ~~~~<< Map 12: Hollow Bastion, 100 Acre Wood >>~~~~ ||| |||_______________________________________________________________________||| |_|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|_| ) ( ) ( \ / \ / ' ' .´`.´`..-. He then tells the group that he will be right back as he needs to find Leon and the others. Sora then wonders how Pooh has been, and they decide to enter the book to find out. Save at the save point and then examine the book. Sora will enter the book, and he will see that Pooh's House appear. Make your way to Pooh's house, and head behind the house to find 2 chests containing an AP Boost, and a Mythril Stone. Nearby to the second chest is another chest containing the 100 Acre Wood Map. Then go and greet Pooh, and Sora will discover that Pooh doesn't seem to remember him. After a few more words, everything will freeze, and Sora will be blasted out of the book. The party will appear in the Underworld, and they wonder whether they are in the Coliseum. Donald then notices a set of stairs and suggests that that may be the way to reach the Coliseum. The party then see Meg being chased by Heartless. Once you gain control of Sora, approach Meg, and she will thank you for helping her. The party then introduce themselves, and they tell her that they came to see Hercules. Sora then asks her how Hercules is doing, and Meg tells her that he's been fighting in the Coliseum. The party learn that Hercules is exhausted from fighting the enemies, which were all especially sent by Hades, lord of the underworld. Meg explains that she was being chased by the Heartless becuase she went to visit Hades asking him if he could stop sending the enemies so that Hercules could have a rest. Sora then says that they will have a talk with Hades, and they decide that they will keep it a secret from Hercules. Once you regain control of Sora, save at the save point, and make a trip to the moogle shop. Currently, they have a few things of interest: Hammer Staff (100), Comet Staff (200), Adamant Shield (100), Falling Star (200), Potion (40), Ether (120), Tent (100). Purchase the Comet Staff and the Falling Star, and purchase Potions if needed. Also, drop off any new synthesis materials obtained up to this point. You will notice that a path will be blocked by a barrier of flames, preventing you access. So therefore head to the door behind Meg to enter the Cave of the Dead. I should point out an important issue. In the Underworld, you will be unable to use your Drive ability, hence the chains shown on the Drive gauge. Guess it has something to do with Hades' powers. Throughout the Underworld, there will be these flying glowing things (they look like pyreflies from FFX), which can be desrtoyed for a few MP orbs. Also, there are numerous torches which can be destroyed for a few HP orbs. As you enter the Cave of the Dead, run forward, and you face a new Heartless, the Rabid Dog. They were the Heartless which were chasing Meg before. Generally, they aren't a threat to you, and they will reward you with 17 experience points, 2 Munny, and a large HP orb. After defeating the 4 Rabid Dogs that spawn, take the entrance to reach the passage. As the party enters, they will spot an Orginzation XIII member run pass. Be careful in this area, as there are falling boulders. Although they won't damage you, they can interrupt your combos. Head down the path, and when you reach a fork in the path (most people will not even notice it without the map), take the right path. Open the chest along the way containing a Hi-Potion. Continue down the path until you reach the place where the two paths join, and take the left path. Grab the chests containing an AP boost, and an Ether. Continue down the path and open the final chest for a Mythril Shard. Afterwards, jump off the platform with the treasure chest, to find yourself back on the main path. Make your way down the main path to reach the entrance to the Inner Chamber. Immediately turn around to find a chest containing a Mythril Stone. After opening the chest, head into the Inner Chamber. As the group enters the Inner Chamber, they meet the Orginzation XIII member once again, but he flees. Immediately from your position, turn around to find a chest containing Mythril Shard. Next to the save point is another chest with the Underworld Map. The moogle shop from the Underworld Entrance is also here, so if you were short on Munny before, you can purchase the two weapons now. Save at the save point and then head onwards to the Valley of the Dead. Pete will be seem talking with Hades about how Hercules is defeating all of the enemies that he sends. Pete then suggests that he should send someone who is already dead to save Hercules the trouble, and then it gives Hades an idea. The party will enter the Valley of the Dead, head up the path until you reach the first platform. You'll face a few Hook Bats, as well as a new Heartless, the Creeper Plant. They will shoot seeds at you, but you can use the reaction command Root Ravager to pull them out of the ground and damage them and the surrounding enemies. They will reward you with 33 experience points, 10 Munny, and few MP orbs. Continue heading up the path, defeating the Lance Soldiers along the way, and the second wave of Creeper Plants and Hook Bats. Once you reach the second platform, head through the entrance to reach Hades' Chamber. In the chamber, Hades will summon Auron (!!!) out of the Underworld dungeon. Hades then proposes a deal with Auron, to defeat Hercules in order to gain his freedom. But Auron refuses, upsetting Hades. Thr group enter Hades' Chamber, and Hades continues to fight Auron. Sora and the others decide to help Auron and the battle begins! You'll begin by facing of with Hades, but you will discover that he cannot be damaged as he is the Lord of the Underworld! After a few seconds, the party will discover that they feel funny. Hades explains that as they are in the Underworld, their strength is drained. As Hades strikes at Sora, Auron blocks Hades' attack. Auron tells them to leave, but Sora explains that he has to speak with Hades. But Auron tells him that they cannot fight him here, and that they must leave. Auron will then be switched into your party, and you will be prompted to switch out a member. The party push the doors close in an attempt to stop Hades from chasing them, but Hades appears beside them. ------------- BATTLE: HADES ------------ - Enemy Name: Hades - Location: Valley of the Dead, Olympus Coliseun - Information: Defeat the Heatless and head for the exit! Don't bother attacking Hades now! - Experience Awarded: 508 p (in total) - Number of Enemies: 21 - Reaction Commands: Bat Cry (Hook Bat), Lance Tug (Lance Soldier), Full Swing (Large Body), Kickback (Large Body) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: The main objective of this match is to run to the exit of the area. Just to piss you off, Hades will be chasing you, sending out waves of Heartless. You'll face 4 Hook Bats, and 2 Shadows. Do not bother to target Hades as at this point it is pointless to attack him as he is invincible. Take the Heartless out quickly to gain access to the next platform. On the second platform, you'll face 2 Lance Soldiers and 4 Shadows. Focus on taking out the Lance Soldiers, letting your team deal with the Shadows. Once the Heartless are defeated, head to the final platform and face the 2 Hook Bats, 2 Lance Soldiers, and 2 Shadows. Once again focus on the Lance Soldiers, and try to use the Lance Tug or Bat Cry reaction commands to take out multiple enemies. Once the initial wave is defeated, a second wave will appear comprising of 2 Lance Soldiers, a Hook Bat, and a Large Body. Lock-on to the Large Body and use Auron's Limit, Bushido to take out the Large Body. With the Limit used, most of the enemies will either be defeated or nearly dead. Finsih them off and move to the Inner Chamber to finish the match. As the party enters the Inner Chamber, Sora asks Auron whether if he's a hero. Auron replies that he isn't a hero, and introduces himself as Auron. Once you regain control of Sora, save at the save point, and then head through to the Passage. Pete will tell Hades that he should let the Heartless take care of group. Pete then reveal his plan on turning Hercules into a Heartless. Hades then gets annoyed, and orders Cerberus to do the job. Fight your way through the waves of Heartless until you make your way back to the Cave of the Deadd Entrance. As they reach the entrance, they discover that the door is closed. Donald the spots a keyhole in the door, but as Sora attempts to open the door using his Keyblade, Cerberus makes his appearance. -------------- BOSS: CERBERUS -------------- - Boss Name: Cerberus - Location: Cave of the Dead: Entrance, Olympus Coliseum - Information: Defeat Cerberus! Using reaction commands with TRIANGLE will make the battle easier! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: Evade, Jump, Dog Paddle - Spoils: Dodge Slash (Sora), Maximum HP Increase (Auron) - Strategy: Immediately as the battle begins, jump to avoid the shockwave that Cerberus sends when he jumps. This jump attack is used often when facing him, and is generally followed up by a spinning attack. When he does the spinning attack, he will spin himself around, and hit you with his tail. The basic strategy to use while facing Cerberus is to lock-on to one of its heads and hack away. While you are doing this, it will try to shake you off by biting at you. This can be easily overcome with the use of Aerial Recovery. After a while, Cerberus will send energy balls at you. These are easily dodged as they move at a slow pace. At one point, Cerberus will begin to slam the two outer heads together. If you see him use this attack jump right in the middle. When the middle head attempts to strike you, press the TRIANGLE buttont to use the Evade reaction command to stop it with out Keyblade. Then press TRIANGLE again to use the Jump reaction command to have Sora jump into the air. And then press TRIANGLE once more to use the Dog Paddle reaction command to unleash an attack on Cerberus. After this attack is unleashed, immediatley follow it up with the Bushido Limit, and finish it off with the use of combos. Once again, I should point out that Drives are unavailable for this match. After the battle, the party will flee the scene, while Donald and Goofy close the doors to the cave. The scene then shifts to Olympus Coliseum where Meg is shown trying to convince Hercules to take a break from fighting in the Coliseum, but Hercules tells her that people came to the Coliseum to see him fight, and so he must. The scene now shifts back to the party, who discover that Auron is now missing, then decide to go see Meg. Save at the save point and then head up the staircase to reach the Coliseum. The scene then shifts to Hades and Pete. Hades asks Pete whether Sora's Keyblade unlocks any lock, and Pete replies that it does. Hades then tells Pete about the Underdrome, and how they can use it to defeat Hercules. But the problem is that Zeus locked it up. Hades then gets the idea to steal Sora's Keyblade to unlock the Underdrome, but Pete tells him Sora won't just hand over his Keyblade. Hades then tells him that they will require a woman's touch, and an image of Meg appears in his palm. The party reach the Colsieum, once you regain control, head into the entrance to be greeted by Hercules. Sora then explains what has happened so far, and how their strength has been drained in the Underworld. Hercules then tells them that there is a stone which can fight against the Underworld's curse. Hercules then suggests that they go to Phil and do some training. You'll then receive the Coliseum Map, and will regain control of Sora. Save at the save point and then head through the doors to enter the Coliseum. In the Coliseum, you will watch an amusing and familiar scene where Phil will mistake Sora for Hercules. After a few words, speak with Phil once again and he will begin your training. -------- Practice -------- The objective of the training exercises is to destroy the pots to retrieve orbs. Each level will require you to collect a certain number of orbs, under a certain time constraint. You can smash bigger pots to make them into smaller pots to colect more orbs, and the more pots you destroy, the more pots will appear. In this level, you will be required to collect 20 orbs in 1:30. Not very hard, one combo will be enough to break a pot, just make sure you collect the orbs afterwards. A tip is to jump into the air and then attack the pots as your aerial combos will hit the surrounding pots destroying multiple pots. You will finish with a lot of time to spare. ------ Maniac ------ In this exercise you will have to collect 100 orbs within 1:30. It may sound a lot of orbs, but it isn't. Run over to the cluster of pots and unleash your aerial combos to destpry multiple pots and reap the rewards. Continue to smash away at the pots until the large pots make their appearance. Target these to obtain 30 orbs. For completing the exercise, you are rewarded with the Aerial Spiral Ability. Afterwards, Hercules will appear in the Coliseum. Speak with him to find out that the Olympus Stone has been stolen by a person who was wearing a black hooded cloak, and was accompanied by white creatures. Hercules then asks if Sora has seen Meg anywhere, and then Hades appears behind him. Hades informs Hercules and the party that he has kidnapped Meg. Hercules then decides to leave to go and find Meg, but Hades tells him that he has an important match against the Hydra. Hades then disappears, and Sora decides to go and find Meg while Hercules can face the Hydra. Once your regain control, save at the save point, and then return to the Underworld. As you enter the Underworld Entrance, the party will find Phil lying unconscious on the floor. He will then regain consciousness, and Sora will ask him what happened. Phil replies that he saw a person dressed in black and he decided to chase after him. But then the person turned on him and then he got knocked out. Sora then realises that person must be the one who stole the Olympus Stone. Sora then asks him where did he head towards, and Phil tells him that he was headed towards the Underworld. Once you regain control of Sora, you will notice that the barrier of flames that was present previously is now gone, giving you access to another route in the Underworld. Before you head there, save your game at the save point and then open the chest beind Phil for a Power Boost. After opening the chest head through the door to enter the Underworld Caverns. Meanwhile, you will see Hercules fighting the Hydra in the Coliseum. Back in the caverns, take a few steps forward, and you will notice that you will fall through the mist. In the caverns, and new Heartless will make its appearance, the Trick Ghost. They do not pose much of a threat, they will only generally send balls of energy at you. You can deflect these back at them if you time your Guard properly. If you get too close to them, they will begin to swing their candles at you. Defeating them will reward you with 50 experience points, 20 Munny, and a few Drive Recovery orbs. After defeating the Trick Ghosts, turn around to find a chest located on a higher ledge containing a Mythril Shard. Then make your way to the entrance to the next area. This is somewhat like a maze, there will be many forks in the path. When facing enemies in this area, be sure to pay attention so that you don't carried away and lose your way. From your starting position, hug the wall to your right to find a chest containing an Ether. Return to your starting position and then hug the wall to your left to eventually reach a chest containing a Hi-Potion. Next to the chest is a door, head through it to find yourself back in the previous area. You will be standing on a platform which was previously inaccessable. There are 2 chests for the taking, containing a Hi-Potion and an AP Boost. After raiding the chests, return to the previous area. Hug the wall to your left to find another chest containing a Mythril Stone. Continue hugging the same wall until you reach a door which you should ignore at this point. Continue to hug the wall, beyond the door is a chest with a Mythril Shard. After opening the chest, enter the door you passed by. In the Atrium, turn to your right to find a chest containing a Tent. Make your way up the ramp but before you approach the figure in the distance, jump to a platform to the right for a chest containing an AP Boost. If you haven't already, use the AP Boosts obtained so far, and equip Aerial Spiral and Dodge Slash. Then, approach the figure in front of the doorway. The party will approach the Organization XIII member and he will take off his hood. He then mistakes Sora for Roxas but of course, Sora does not have a clue what he's talking about. The Organization XIII member then pulls out the Olympus Stone and then party then realise that he must be the thief that Phil was talking about. ------------- BATTLE: DEMYX ------------- - Enemy Name: Demyx - Location: Underworld Caverns: Atrium, Olympus Coliseun - Information: Defeat the Demyx's creations before time runs out! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 100 - Reaction Commands: Wild Dance - Spoils: Maximum HP Increase (Sora), MP Rage (Donald), Maximum HP Increase (Goofy) - Strategy: Demyx won't actualy be fighting you in this battle. Instead, he will out his water clones to do the fighting for him. You will be given 1:20 to defeat 100 of his clones. Each clone only has a small amount of HP, and it won't take long to defeat one. But the best way to defeat the clones is to use the reaction command Wild Dance. This reaction command appears occassionally in the battle, and when used Sora will grab hold of one of the clones and wing it around madly, taking out a lot of the clones. This match should not be a problem, and you will finish well before the time runs out. After the battle, Demyx will retreat, leaving behind the Olympus Stone. Sora will then use the Olympus Stone to regain their powers, and the group head onwards to the next area. You will then receive the Olympus Stone and Secret Ansem's Report 5. From this point onwards you will be able to use the Drive ability in the Underworld. Once you regain control of Sora, head through the doors to reach the next area. There are 3 chests in this area containing a Mythril Shard, the Caverns Map, and an AP Boost. Save your progress and then examine the stone in the center of the room. Sora will then use his Keyblade to unlock the keyhole on stone. Then approach the column of light to proceed on with the game. Meg will be seen in chains standing next to Hades, Hades then thanks Sora for unlocking the Underdrome and he then disappears. Pete then appears, and he attacks you. ------------ BATTLE: PETE ------------ - Enemy Name: Pete, Hook Bat, Soldier - Location: Cave, Olympus Coliseun - Information: Defeat the enemies while defending Megaranfrom enemy attack! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 10 - Reaction Commands: Bat Cry (Hook Bat), Cylcone (Soldier) - Spoils: N/A - Strategy: The main objective of this battle is to defeat Pete and the waves of Heartless. In this battle, you will also have to avoid letting Meg take in any damage. Once the gauge in the top-left corner of the screen fills up full, it's game over. Firstly, Pete will send out 6 Hook Bats. Use the Bat Cry reaction command to make things easier. After defeating all of the Hook Bats, focus your attacks on Pete. He won't be a problem, he will just roll out bombs that will explode. Just lock-on to him and attack like crazy. When almost all of his health is depleted, he will summon 3 Soldiers to aid him. Use the Cyclone reaction command to defeat these guys quickly to earn yourself a few HP orbs to recover Meg's health bar. After defeating the Soldiers, focus on taking out Pete. After the battle, Sora will unchain Meg, and Hercules will make his appearance. He tells the party to get Meg out of the Underworld while he takes care of Pete. Outside, Meg tells Sora that she can't leave him as she is worried that he is too tired to fight. Sora and the others decide to return and help Hercules fight Pete and the Heartless. ---------- BOSS: PETE ---------- - Boss Name: Pete - Location: Cave, Olympus Coliseum - Information: Fight alongside Hercules to defeat Pete before the cave collapses! - Experience Awarded: 168 - Number of Enemies: 7 - Reaction Commands: Bat Cry (Hook Bat), Pinball (Pete), Aura Guard (Hercules) - Spoils: Trinity Limit (Sora), Maximum HP Increase (Donald), Hyper Healing (Goofy) - Strategy: You will be given 2 minutes to defeat Pete before the cave collapses. Hercules, as well as Donald and Goofy will also be present in this battle to help you. Pete will be accompanied by 4 Hook Bats as well as 2 Trick Ghosts. Leave them for your party members to deal with while you focus on targetting Pete. Pete will have a few of the same attacks as before as well as a few new ones. One attack that he will use often is a shield attack, which will briefly protect him from any damage. When he uses this attack, run up to him and use the Pinball reaction command to have Sora and Hercules do a combo attack and break the shield. Pete will also often make a boulder appear above Sora, after a certain amount of time, the boulder will drop. To avoid being hit and taking in damage, quickle run to Hercules and use the reaction command Aura Guard to have him break the boulder. Continue to lock-on to Pete and slash away until his health depletes. Do not worry about the time, with the use of the reaction commands, you will finish well before the time runs out. After the battle, Pete will retreat and the cave will begin to collapse. The party run out of the cave, and they meet Hades. Hades then tells Hercules that maybe he should go check on the Hydra. Hercules then rushes to the Coliseum, and you will be given control of Sora. Save at the save point and then make your way back up to the Coliseum. At the Coliseum, Hercules will be shocked to find the Coliseum in ruins. Hercules will then blame himself for the destruction of the Coliseum. The Hydra will then emerge and the party ready for battle, Phil, Pegasus, and Meg also join in. ----------- BOSS: HYDRA ----------- - Boss Name: Hydra - Location: Coliseum Gates, Olympus Coliseum - Information: Defeat the Hydra! Fight alongside various friends! - Experience Awarded: N/A - Number of Enemies: 1 - Reaction Commands: Vanquish (Hydra), Phil One-Two (Phil), Urinator (Phil), Pegasus Run (Pegasus), Attack (Pegasus) - Spoils: Maximum HP Increase (Sora), Thunder Element (Sora), Gained Armour Slot (Donald), Maxmimum HP Increase (Goofy) - Strategy: Well if you don't know already, the Hydra has many heads, but at first, it will only have one head. Throughout this battle, Phil, Pegasus and Meg will be helping you out. To begin with, the Hydra attack you by swinging its tail across the area, your best bet is to dodge them completely by timing your jumps. The Hydra will also constantly send pillars of blue fire around the place. These don't follow you, so they are extremely to avoid, just run away from them whenever you see them appear. Continue to dodge its attacks until the Hydra's head swings close to the ground. At this point, run up to and unleash as many combos as you can. Once all of its health is depleted, have Sora use the Vanquish reaction command to have him behead the Hydra. But of course, the battle isn't over yet. Three heads will now emerge out of the ground. Focus your attacks on one head and slash away. Whenever you hear Phil shout, run to th Hydra's body, and jump onto its back. Then use the Phil One-Two reaction command to have Phil throw a pot to you which you. At this point, use the following reaction command Urinator to have Sora strike the pot at the Hydra to stun its heads. A funny thing that I discovered is that when landing back down again, try to land back onto the Hydra, and you can do the combo once again. After stunning them, resume attacking the heads. Remember to use Vanquish to cut the head off after you deplete its health. Once all three heads are gone, all seven heads will emerge. The heads will constantly swoop at you, and it will also send the pillars of blue fire at you. The Hydra will also regularly summon Heartless things that look like mini-Dark Balls. They will fly around the place, and will damage you whenver you are hit by them, but once you are hit by them, they are destroyed. At this point, to the eastern wall, Meg will be standing there throwing you MP and Drive Recovery orbs. Use them to replenish your Drive gauge. Once full, wait until two of the heads come down and then use your Valor form. Then go all out on the heads, lock-on to them and attack like crazy. Whenever you get hit by the heads, use Aerial Recovery ability and attack the heads whilst in the air. Use this combination will keep you in the air for a while, usually until all the heads are destroyed. Pegasus will also fly around the area, whenever he is neaby, the reaction command Pegasus Run will be available. Using this will let you ride Pegasus, giving you the chance to attack the heads. To attack the heads, use the Attack reaction command. If used correcltly, most of the health of all the heads will be depleted. Once all the heads are destroyed, finish off the Hydra by using the Vanquish reaction command. After the battle, Hercules will still be depressed. The party try to cheer him up. Sora then remembers to return the Olympus Stone, and he discovers that it is the gate to opening the route to the next world. You'll then receive the Hero's Crest Keyblade. Maleficent is then seen talking with Pete talking about her plan and the Organization XIII. She then orders Pete to tell her what has happened while she was away. The scene then changes to Disney Castle, where Queen Minnie is seen in the Library. Chip and Dale then rush in and tell her that there is something wrong in the Hall of the Cornerstone. Queen Minnie then enters the hall and is sad there is no one there to help her. You will be taken back to the World Map screen, and Disney Castle will now be available to access. Save your game and then make your way to Disney Castle, you won't have to play the Gummi Ship game for now. =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ Disney Castle ~'*'~ DSNY --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== -- Under Construction -- (Sorry!) =============================================================================== --------------------------------------- ~'*'~ Credits and References ~'*'~ CRDT --------------------------------------- =============================================================================== It is obvious that I would have not been able to write this guide without the help of others.
