Phantom Kingdom Translation/Import Guide by KiTA --- The following is a guide designed to help import players figure out Phantom Kingdom, the next amazing title in the Nippon Ichi SRPG lineup. Phantom Kingdom is a lot different than previous NIS SRPGs. The addition of buildings to the game adds a new RTS element to the game, while the focus on foot troops instead of 1-3 story characters infuses the game with much more strategy than previous incarnations. The information in this guide is being translated and pieced together by me, using information from several Japanese websites, including pk.daihouko.com and phantom.g-unlimited.com. I cannot actually read Japanese, so I am using a translator to piece together enough of the game. A. Basic Troop List Unlike previous Nippon Ichi SRPGs, Phantom Brave is devoid of story characters entirely the first time through. Only the second time through do cameo and special characters join you. Thus, it becomes very important to know the strengths and weaknesses of each class, because you will need to mix and match them to their full effect to win. The following is a quick listing of the basic classes in the game. Their class type, and rank 1 names, are listed below. The rank 1 names are listed to ease finding them in the list of characters. Wish List Whishes can be made by talking to Zeta and selecting option 5. 新しい建物がほしい I want a new building. (L1) - Creates a new building from a list. List options and mana cost changes depending on level of character. Character is lost permanently upon creating the building. リーダーになりたい I want to become a leader. (L1) - Changes the general of Zetas army (the character you move around as). Useful if you wish to create a building out of the character you are playing as. 新しいダンジョンが欲しい I want a new dungeon. (L1) - Creates a new random dungeon. Dungeon is tailored to the character who makes the wish. C. Building abilities Buildings in Phantom Kingdom have various abilities and effects on the characters who exit them. Here is a partial list. お金+50% - Money +50% 経験値+50% - EXP +50% 強化+10% - “Strengthen +10%” (+10% max hp?) 攻撃力+30% - Offensive Strength +30% 防御力+40% - Defensive Strength +40% WPマスタリー+50% - Weapon Mastery +50% ダメージ10% 回復 - Damage 10% (Per Turn. This is a penalty effect) 毎ターン10%回復 - Restore 10% HP per turn D. EXP Tricks * 3-4 邪悪 Vicious This map has 1 building with 4 people inside of it. If you put a strong person in the buildling to take it over, anyone you summon will get any bonus XP at the end of the fight. Summon a building or 3 full of characters, then move your high level characters into the building to storm it. Characters inside of buildings get bonus XP at the end of fights. Once you become strong enough (about 900 attack power) to destroy the building, this is a great source of mana. * 5-3 憂い Anxiety This map is good for leveling up medium level characters. There is a building high up on a pillar with few enemies outside of it -- allowing you to take the enemies slower than other maps in this area. * 5-4 灰色 Gray This map only has 14 Level 1 Voodoo Dolls. They are equipped with hammers, which lower your level as an added effect if you get hit. To level up characters fast here, summon a building, pull someone out of it, and attack Zeta (the book). Everything on the screen will take damage -- and since the enemies have such low HP, they will die in a single hit -- causing the characters in the building to get considerable bonus XP. This is also a good place to LOWER your level if you need to (for creating buildings). * 6-4 暗闇 Darkness This map is dangerous, but easy to level up on. There is a very high level character in the last building, however, if you break all the buildings and characters before him, you can choose to end the fight. If you can destroy his building (by summoning a building, throwing it closer, then pulling people out of it) before he comes out, it's even easier. * 7-6大略奪 Large Plunder Raw translation: If a food plant is destroyed by a strong character, the enemy’s numbers will decrease, and you can invite a building with characters you would like to level up. * 8-1覚悟 Preperation There are only 3 strong characters here. First turn, defeat the shadow. Second turn, defeat all the saber kitties. * 8-2 悲痛 Sadness Although this map is rather difficult and has lots of high level characters, if you can survive it, it's a great place to level up. * 9-1意図 Intention Because the targets all tend to bunch up, if you have 2 or 3 characters with large area of effect skills/spells, it's easy to level up here. * 9-2 誘惑 Temptation Since an enemy tends to pack together, you can defeat them at a huge distance using circle spells. This map is great for XP and Mana. * 9-8 宴前夜 Midnight Party At the start, this map only has 1 building with troops inside. If you have a strong enough character, you can break the building or siege it and end the fight immediately. * 9-9 決意 Decision Although I don't recommend this stage until much later, if you have circle spells and high level area of effect attack skills, you can clear out this map very easily. Use circle spells on the center group first, then clean up the mobs in the back on turn two. In this map, using a school building (+50-80% to XP gained), getting to level 250 is easy. After level 200 or so, it's much easier to level up inside of random dungeons. (Warning, in some random dungeon levels, you cannot invite buildings, so be prepared for that by leaving some characters outside of buildings.) * Other tricks If you attack someone in your home base, you can kill them for mana. Note that killing too many characters will force you into the bad ending. E. Spoiler Warning Warning. The next few sections are full of spoilers, and should not be read until you have beaten the game. E-1. Spoiler Wishes These are the various special wishes you can make. Note that some of these unlock special dungeons, however, these dungeons are usually much more difficult than the requirements for unlocking. プリニーを作りたい I want to make Prinnies. (L10, 1000 mana) - Allows you to create Prinnies as playable characters. 正義の味方と戦ってみたい！ I want to fight with the ally of justice. (L70, 3000 Mana, Newgame+ only) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (but not recruit) Flonne. エンディングが見たい！ I want to see the ending! (L80, 4000 Mana, Newgame+ only) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (but not recruit) Etna. Does not actually end the game. 勇者と戦ってみたい！ I want to fight with a Hero! (L100, 5000 Mana, Newgame+ only, Must have defeated Flonne and Etna.) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (and recruit) Castile. キングダークを叩きのめしたい！ I want to beat the Dark King up! (L120, 5500 Mana, Newgame+ only, must have finished chapter 7) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (and recruit) Dark King. 他のゲームの魔王と戦ってみたい！ I want to fight with the Devil of other games! (L150, 6000 mana, Newgame+) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (and recruit) Laharl, Flonne, and Etna (at the same time). 冥王シードルと戦ってみたい！ I want to fight with Dark King Cider! (L160, 700 mana, Newgame+, After chapter 3 but before chapter 8) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can fight (and recruit) Dark King Cider. 全盛期のサロメと戦いたい！ I want to fight with Salome during his glory days! (L180, 8000 Mana, After Chapter 5) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter Salome. If you defeat Salome, you are locked in a Bad Ending, however, during your next Newgame+, Salome joins you. 最強時代のバビロンと戦いたい！ I want to fight with Babylon at his prime! (L200, 9000 Mana, Newgame+, Between Chapters 2 and 8) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (and recruit) Babylon. 邪神ヴァルヴォルガと戦ってみたい！ I want to fight with the Dark God Varuvoruga! (L250, 10000 mana, Newgame+, Before chapter 8) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (But not Recruit) Dark God Varuvoruga. 宇宙最強の魔王と戦ってみたい！ I want to fight with the strongest Devil in the universe! (L300, 15000 Mana, Newgame+) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (and recruit) Zeta. 新作ゲームのキャラに喧嘩を売る！ I want to fight the main character of your next game! (L1000, 100,000 mana, Newgame+) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter (and recruit) Asagi. (the main character of Nippon Ichi's next game) 最強ロボが欲しい！ I want the world's strongest Robot! (L200, 30,000 mana) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can obtain the Super Robot Suit. このゲームで一番強いヤツと戦いたい！ I want to fight the strongest enemy in this game! (L300, 20,000 mana, Newgame+) - Unlocks a special dungeon where you can encounter and his battleship, Yoshitsuna. Upon defeating him, you obtain the Yoshitsuna.
