You must be wondering Why another Boss FAQ?! Well, the reason is... just because. There's nothing wrong with 2 Boss FAQs and Peter and I took the bosses from different perspectives. Well, I hope you like both the FAQ and the game but before starting, there are some things I want to address, so please read the following paragraphs: - I'm writing this for free and because I'm in love with this game. - The spoilers are great issues in making guides. This guide DOES have spoilers, sadly, since I'll be naming the boss through the battles. Please try and not to read further ahead of where you are. With this said, let's start with the guide! Enjoy this guide and remember that it is a spoiler-free, so you don't have to worry about important info of the game being spoiled. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ~-~ ~-~ ~-~ 1.1] Contact Rules ~-~ ~-~ ~-~ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-.sx101.-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= '-----' Any critics, suggestions, spelling mistakes, contributions are welcome, so please send them at the following e-mail: --> vinheim@gmail.com <-- I always reply to all the mails I get, since feedback is the best reward of all. o Important ----------- The only sites allowed to host my FAQ's from here on out are the following: - www.gamefaqs.com - www.supercheats.com - www.neoseeker.com This is because many sites either steal my guides or they don't update them, making it really hard on me because many readers from other sites often ask me question from an incomplete guide, so this is a better way to keep track of my FAQ's and my readers. Please, if you're not on the list above, don't even bother asking about hosting them because the answer will be NO. Thanks. ----------- I also have MSN and AIM, but please, if you add me, do NOT start bombing me with IM. If I have the time, I'll chat to you, since I'm always busy writing FAQ's and making some research for my job and school, but please keep it polite, 'k? Anyway, here they are: MSN: xander_may_cry@hotmail.com AIM: vinh3im Ask politely and I'll add you. I don't have YIM, so start mailing me to make one just so you can chat with me. I hope you've been keeping your Napalms up until know. You should have at least 2 (I had 3, because an enemy dropped one). At the start, use the Napalms you have to deal severe damage against Belial. Also, once you're out of Napalms, start using your Cyclones. Belial has several attacks, and many of them can hurt you several times, which makes it annoying. Yes, here's a list of his attacks: o Tackles you. o Pukes garbage that falls from the top. o Pukes out a ball of garbage that bounces around the area, dropping trash that hurts you. o Breathes heavily trying to swallow you. o Summons reinforcements. These are all his attacks. Try always to stay behind him so you can avoid most of his attacks. When you see that Belial raises his head, he can either do attack 2 or 3. If you see a brownish ball in his mouth, he's about to puke a ball of garbage. If he doesn't, then he'll make attack 2. After this attack, he'll probably do attack 4, to swallow all his puked garbage and you too in the process. Like I said, stay behind him at all times. With Gwendolyn's glide ability, it's rather easy to get behind him and kick his ass so hard he'll reach the moon (Chrono Cross quote =P). -= Chapter 2 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, we have to fight Velvet and let me tell you, she's hard in comparison to Belial. She uses Alchemy Potions, the same one you use and have. A good tip I have for you is to always keep moving and look at the upper right corner - the little display that shows the enemies and yourself. When you see Velvet throwing something at you, run away facing her and do a Dive Attack - when you're gliding of course. She has few attacks, but I'll list them anyway: o Alchemy Potions. She throws Alchemy Potions at you from affar or she can swing across the area dropping tons of Alchemy Potions. These can be Blizzard, Toxin, Napalms. These are the ones I've seen her use. o Chain attack 1. She stands still on a tree branch and use her chains to follow you. These only go up the screen and down it. They don't chase you like homming missiles per se, but you get the picture, right? o Chain attack 2. Just like the previous attack, she stands still on a tree branch and the chains will attack the nearby area. o Combo attack. When you're near her, she'll attack you normally. As you can see, her most dangerous attack are the Potions. Make sure to move constantly in order to avoid the attacks. When she does her first Chain attack, the best thing to do is to glide across the area and start attacking her from behind. If you have any Napalms with you, that's fantastic and use them at the beginning of the battle, when Velvet is on the ground. -= Chapter 3 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, the first time playing the game I had such problems with this guy. Seriously. I was gonna stop playing because he was so hard. Anyway, I'll list his attacks first: o Fire Breath. He drinks something from his horn and starts walking while breathing fire. o Charges at you, just like the Berserker. o He tosses his hammer in front of him. o Stomps the ground making a little quake around himself. o He starts jumping around while trying to hit you. He's pretty easy if your level is high enough (I was level 22 when fighting him). When you see he drinks from his horn, quickly run to his back and attack him like there's no tomorrow. If you see him charging at you, glide over him. If you see he raises his leg, jump to avoid the attack. When he starts jumping around enraged, start gliding around the area to avoid all of his attacks. You'll notice that at the start you'll be doing minimal damage, around 20 per hit. Well, do you notice those 4 shields he has over his chest? You need to attack him nonstop to make those shields fall down. Once they're down, now you'll be doing some decent damage. Use Cyclone to deal some incredible damage against him. Overall, he's not too tough. I found Velvet much more harder. -= Chapter 4 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Odin... he fights pretty much like Brigan... wonder why ;). Anyway, his attacks are very similar to Brigans, so here they are: o Punch Rain. He punches several times in front of him while walking. o Blue Ball. Remember Belial's ball of garbage? Odin has a similar attack, only that with a Blue morning star. This is a Psypher too, so he can absorb Phozons. This one can either bounce around or just a frontal attack. o He jumps and tries to land on you, pretty much like the Berserkers. o Charges towards you. o Stomps the ground making a little quake around himself. o He starts jumping around while trying to hit you. The best way to attack him is to stay in front of him and when he's about to attack -- you'll notice because he has to charge before each attack, quickly jump one over him and start striking him from behind. Keep doing this over and over. It may take some time, but it's the easiest way to do it. -= Chapter 5 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Thank goodness, Leventhan is easy. Easiest boss yet. He doesn't have that many attacks, but here they are: o He tackles in front of him like most of the bosses and sub-bosses do. o Small beam. He emits a small beam from his mouth. You can block this of jump over it. o Tail Whip (Pokemon? XD). Attacks with its tail. o Large beam. He charges and emits a very large beam, damaging you several times. You can't block this and it's almost 100% sure you'll die if you get hit by it. As you can see, it's pretty easy to stay behind him. Do so. Most of the time when he's in the air, he'll do his Small beam attack. If your near him, he'll try to hit with the tail. When you see him charging, jump over him to avoid the Large beam attack or you'll be dead. -= Chapter 6 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Yay, time to take out Mercedes, the Queen... hey, she wasn't the Queen. Another one was. A taller one. You'll find out what happens in the third book ;). Anyway, Mercedes is as easy as Leventhan, or probably easier. Let me list her attacks first. o Multiple shots. She shoots from her bow several times in one direction. o Combo shots. She does the previous attack, but finishes with a huge beam going in the same directions as the arrows. o Summon reinforcements. These are all her attacks. She flies arround so damn much. Her reinforcements, this one is pretty ridiculous. She'll summon 2 green Soldiers and an Archer Fairy. Yep. She can also suck up Phozons that are flying around, so I recommend you sucking them ASAP, or she'll heal around 160 HP per Phozon... man I wish Gwendolyn could do the same thing. What's recommended? Well, what I always do is to stay under her and when you see she's preparing to attack, quickly move to her back and attack her nonstop. If she starts shooting while in midair, jump and attack her nice little ass. She sometimes take out a Napple, so attack her as soon as possible to make her stop. This is pretty much it. Stay under her and wait for when she starts attacking, then you can attack her. -= Chapter Epilogue ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Ok, Odette's breasts are huge, that's a plus, but she's still hard as all hell... well, not really if you're leveled up like me. She has few attacks, but there will be several Ghosts appearing everywhere. Try ignoring them for the time being. Let me list all of her attacks: o Dual Scythe. She backflips and creates a double scythe. This attack is dangerous, but takes like 3 seconds to appear. o Spikes. She creates spikes in front of her. She uses this attack when you're attacking her from the front. o Spider Grip. She turns into an orb, disappears and appears on top of you, grabbing you with spider legs. This attack deals a ton of damage, so make sure to run when you see her disappear. o Spider. She makes a head and legs of a spider appear under her. Make sure to be in between her and her legs so you can attack her. During this move, she heals herself. These are all the attacks I recall at the moment. Just like I said, in attack 1, she takes like 3 seconds to make the scythes appear, so make sure to run away until they disappear or you get around the area. As for attack 2, it's hard to evade. If you see her going downwards, keep pressed [] to guard. Attack 3. Just keep running when she disappears and she'll appear behind you, totally evading the attack. The last attack is the one you should be worried about. If you are outside her legs, it's no big deal, only that she'll be healing herself by a big amount, which isn't good. If you are within her and her legs, you'll be able to attack her and stopping her from healing. The downside is that you'll be very succeptible to her attacks. Once here, I found pretty useful to use Phozon Burst to make her legs disappear. Also, try to keep your Overload on at all times so you can damage her by a large amount. If you have any Napalms left, use them all if you have to. Using Painkillers is a huge plus too. Funny thing. There will be lag, a lot. Yeah, this is because all of those damn Ghosts that appear. --=======------=======----=-=----===-----===-----------====----=-------===----- ==-------======-------====-=-====---=====---===========----====-=======---===== C O R N E L I U S _,-^¯\_}\________________,-.________________/{_/¯`-._ ¯`-._/¯}/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯'-'¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯\{¯\_,-^¯ T H E P O O K A P R I N C E ____________________________________[sx202]____________________________________ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ -= Chapter 1 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Ok, Odette's breasts are huge, I know I said the same thing when playing as Gwendolyn, but they are huge and I like them =3, but she's still hard as all hell... well, not really if you're leveled up like me. I am level 9 and my Psypher is level 7. If you have any Napalms, use them all if you have to. Using Unlimited POW is a huge plus too, since you can just spam the Spin Attack until your Umlimited POW. Also, spam your Cyclone. Really. If you have 2 full gauges, use both. Once you use them, as soon as you do, press R1 to absorb all the Phozons and materialize all the Ghosts, which each one leave a Phozon behind. This way, you can keep spamming Cyclone over and over. Funny thing. There won't be as much lag as when playing as Gwendolyn, unknown reasons. -= Chapter 2 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, Brigan again. I hate him. Let me list his attacks first: o Fire Breath. He drinks something from his horn and starts walking while breathing fire. o Charges at you, just like the Berserker. o He tosses his hammer in front of him. o Stomps the ground making a little quake around himself. o He starts jumping around while trying to hit you. He's pretty easy if your level is high enough (I was level 13 when fighting him). When you see he drinks from his horn, quickly double jump over him attack him like there's no tomorrow. Use Cyclone to deal some incredible damage against him. Overall, he's not too tough. Odette is the real bitch of the bosses with Cornelius. -= Chapter 3 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, we have to fight Velvet... well, her impostor. She's the same as Velvet, exactly the same, so you should know how to fight her already. She uses Alchemy Potions, the same one you use and have. A good tip I have for you is to always keep moving and look at the upper right corner - the little display that shows the enemies and yourself. When you see Velvet throwing something at you, run away facing her and double jump to avoid anything she threw at you. When she does her first Chain attack, the best thing to do is to double jump across the area and start attacking her from behind. If you have any Napalms with you, that's fantastic and use them at the beginning of the battle, when Velvet is on the ground. -= Chapter 4 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, Wagner. I've always had trouble with him. Let me list his attacks: o Whirlwinds. He creates several whirlwinds across the area. These hurt you, so wait for them to dissipate before moving. o Spirit Summon. While the previous attack is going, some Ice Spirits appear. Take these out. o Fire Rain. He shoots a fireball up into the air and several smaller fireballs drop down, creating Fire Spirits. Dammit! XD o Body Slam. Wagner starts gliding and after some time, he body slams, taking tons of damage from you. o Flamethrower. He starts gliding like in the previous attack, only that breathing fire. Overall, Wagner is no pushover. He's probably the second hardest boss of Cornelius' book. Yeah, the last boss is the hard one. Wagner is way harder than Odette, so be extrememly careful. You MUST take this battle slowly. Don't rush your attacks just to kill him quicker. He doesn't heal, so there's definetely no rush at all. In all the attacks in which Wagner starts gliding, you can stand on his head. Seriously. Stand on his head so you can attack him while in movement. The Spirits (both Ice and Fire) are your top priority. Kill these ASAP so they don't inflict Freeze nor Flame on you. When he starts gliding and you're not on his head, if he's going to do his Body Slam, wait for him to lower for you to double jump over him to avoid the massive damage. Also, if you're on his head while he's gliding and does the Body Slam, jump as he hits the ground or you'll receive complete damage. Napalms are semi useless here. They do indeed a ton of damage, but Wagner almost never is near the ground, so if you have any, use them while Wagner is on the floor. -= Chapter 5 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Yay, time to take out Mercedes with Cornelius now. Remember how easy she was as with Gwendolyn? Well, it's as easy. Let me list her attacks first: o Multiple shots. She'll summon a white Soldier. She can also suck up Phozons that are flying around, so I recommend you sucking them ASAP, or she'll heal around 160 HP per Phozon... man I wish the other Psypher users could do the same thing. -= Chapter 6 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Thank goodness, Leventhan is easy -- not like Wagner. When you see him charging, jump over him to avoid the Large beam attack or you'll be dead. -= Chapter Epilogue ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Ok, this is the true boss of Cornelius' book, Belial. I hope you've been keeping your Napalms up until know. You should have at least 6 (I had 9). At the start, an Unlimited POW and a PainKiller. Then use the Napalms you have to deal severe damage against Belial. Also, once you're out of Napalms, use Overload and start using Spin attack on him (spin attack + Unlimited POW + Overload = win!). Belial is the same as when you fought it as Gwendolyn, all the way at the start of the game, only that 100 times stronger. He has several attacks, and many of them can hurt you several times, which makes it annoying. Yes, here's a list of his attacks: o Tackles you. o Pukes garbage that falls from the top. o Pukes out a ball of garbage that bounces around the area, dropping trash that hurts you. He can drop 2 balls now. o Breathes heavily trying to swallow you. o Summons reinforcements. These are all his attacks. Try always to stay behind him so you can avoid most of his attacks. I hope you thought about it and made some Napalms for know. At the start, use the Napalms you have to deal severe damage against Belial. Also, once you're out of Napalms, start using your Piercing Shots. Try always to stay behind him so you can avoid most of his attacks, as well as flying around, since Mercedes is way faster in the air than by foot. With Mercedes' flying ability, it's rather easy to get behind him. -= Chapter 2 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ That's right, for the very first time, we're up against Oswald. Man, just like I said in the first area, this one is actually pretty tough and I had a really hard time figuring out what's up with this dude. First of all, let me list his attacks, ok?! o Combo attack. Just like with Velvet in previous books, he attacks constantly in front of him, like any character would. o Dive attack. This one is similar to Gwendolyn's Dive attack. He has to double jump to do this attack. o Shadow Form. He transforms in his Shadow Form, in which his speed and his strength are dramatically increased. This form ends by time or by damage dealt to him. As the fight starts, try using a Painkiller and try to always have the effect on. As you can see, he doesn't have THAT many attacks, but they're quite powerful. When he's in his human form, stay from a distance and shoot him nonstop. Surprisingly enough, you can stagger him. Once you're out of AMMO, if you can reload there, do so. If not, fly away and reload. When he starts his Shadow Form, you cannot outrun him. You can if you're quite far from him and keep running away from him until the effect passes. If he catches up to you while you're flying, wait for him to do a double jump, drop down and when he drops as well, use Napalms or Piercing Shots to end his Shadow Form. He has reinforcements, which are a total pain in the ass. You have 1 Archer Fairy and a Magician Fairy. Take out only the Magician because it'll take longer to appear than if you kill both Fairies. -= Chapter 3 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, Wagner. Dammit! Overall, Wagner is no pushover. He's probably the second hardest boss of Mercedes' book. Yeah, I think you know who the first one is ;). When he starts gliding and you're not on his head, start flying yourself around as well and be on top of the screen to avoid the massive damage. If you have any Unlimited POW left, use them here. -= Chapter 4 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ OMFG, are you kidding me?! This is the hardest fight you'll have in a while. Thanks to those 2 Axe Knights, the difficulty of this fight went to a 10* in my opinion. Beldor is nearly the same as the red Sorcerers you've encountered through the whole stage. Your first task, however, is to take care of the Axe Knights. Use the Piercing Shots and Napalms you have left to take care of these. This is the most important thing to do. If you have any Painkillers and Unlimited POW left, use them. You can always make more. Just like I said with the fight against Wagner. Be extremely pacient. If you run out of AMMO, wait unti you see an opening. If you don't find one, wait and fly around until you do. Once you take care of the Axe Knights, Beldor is a piece of cake. Remember those swords the Sorcerers use against you? Well, Beldor uses 4 instead of 2 (wow, huge improvement... XD). Hit those to have them bounce back at him and stagger him, allowing you to attack him. IF you have any Phozon Gauges left, use them on him. He'll summon some reinforcements, which are Ooze. These guys, like I stated before, are easy with Mercedes' bow. -= Chapter 5 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh, Odette how I missed you and your little friends =3. She's still hard as all hell... well, not really if you're leveled up like me. I am level 29 and my Psypher is level 29 as well. If you have any Napalms, use them all if you have to. Using Unlimited POW is a huge plus too, since you can just spam your bow attack until your Umlimited POW ends. Also, spam your Piercing Shot. Really. If you have 6 full gauges, use all of 'em. Once you use them, as soon as you do, press R1 to absorb all the Phozons and materialize all the Ghosts, which each one leave a Phozon behind. This way, you can keep spamming Piercing Shot over and over. -= Chapter 6 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Thank goodness, Leventhan is easy -- easier than in the previous books. He doesn't have that many attacks, but here they are: o He tackles in front of him like most of the bosses and sub-bosses do. o Small beam. He emits a small beam from his mouth. You can block this of jump over it. o Tail Whip. When you see him charging, fly under him to avoid the Large beam attack or you'll be dead. -= Chapter Epilogue ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Odin... he fights pretty much like when you fought him as Gwendolyn, which always welcome since now we know how he fights and what things NOT to do. Anyway, his attacks are much the same as last time, which are: o Punch Rain. The best way to attack him is to stay in front of him and when he's about to attack -- you'll notice because he has to charge before each attack, quickly fly over him and start striking him from behind. Keep doing this over and over. It may take some time, but it's the easiest way to do it. --=======------=======----=-=----===-----===-----------====----=-------===----- ==-------======-------====-=-====---=====---===========----====-=======---===== O S W A L D _,-^¯\_}\________________,-.________________/{_/¯`-._ ¯`-._/¯}/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯'-'¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯\{¯\_,-^¯ T H E B L A C K S W O R D ____________________________________[sx204]____________________________________ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ -= Chapter 1 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, Brigan again. He's pretty easy now with Oswald. Just drink and Unlimited POW mix, start your Shadow Form and start attacking until all his 4 shields on the chest fall down. Once they're gone, you'll kill him in just a matter of seconds, literally. Also, some of Brigan's attacks may end your Shadow Form, so if that happens, return into that form and start attacking him again. That's pretty much it. You can even take all the hits 'cus they do minimum damage, really. You won't even need to heal during the battle. If you see that your POW gauge is starting to drop at a fast rate, exit Shadow Form and use another Unlimited POW mix. -= Chapter 2 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh goodie, the sub-boss in the previous books is now a Boss, and there are 2 of them to make things worse. Here's a list of their attacks: o Wide Scythe attack. He raises 6 scythes from the ground, 3 on each side of him. o Blast. He blasts the ground with the scythe, creating a upwards shockwave. o Blast II. He creates a blast and disappears, appearing somewhere else. o Berserk Scythe. Several semi transparent skeletons appear in front of him and starts attacking them nonstop like a madman. o Poison Gas. He becomes full of bones and releases a large cloud of gas that travels slowly in front of him. As you can see, they has some annoying attacks. The first Blast attack reaches you even on his back, so you're not safe anywhere. After every attack, he stays still a short period of time. Use this time to take his guts out and chew on them. Since there are 2 of them, use a Painkiller and a Unlimited POW right at the start of the fight, get into your Shadow Form and beat the crap out of 1 of the Halja. Focus on 1 at a time. If he moves to a different spot, follow him and finish him. Then focus on the other one. This fight is not that hard actually. Oswald's Shadow Form is a huge benefit for this battle. -= Chapter 3 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Nice, we have to take on Belial, just like with every other character we've played with. I hope you thought about it and made some Unlimited POWs for now. At the start, use an Unlimited POW mix you have, get into Shadow Form and start beating the crap our of Belial to deal severe damage against him. Use the same strategy you used as when you were fighting against Brigan. Use an Unlimited POW, a Painkiller if you want too and use Shadow Form to deal some massive damage on Belian. Doing this will make this fight last no more than 3 minutes. -= Chapter 4 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Odin... he fights pretty much like always, which always welcome since now we know how he fights and what things NOT to do. Anyway, his attacks are much the same as last time, which are: o Punch Rain. The best way to attack him is to stay in front of him and when he's about to attack -- you'll notice because he has to charge before each attack, quickly jump over him and start striking him from behind. Keep doing this over and over. It may take some time, but it's the easiest way to do it. Remember to use an Unlimited POW and transform into the Shadow Form to take a lot of HP from Odin. -= Chapter 5 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, Wagner. Wagner is way harder than the other bosses you've faced so far in Oswald's book, so be extrememly careful. You MUST take this battle slowly. Don't rush your attacks just to kill him quicker. He doesn't heal, so there's definetely no rush at all. In all the attacks in which Wagner starts gliding, you can stand on his head. Seriously. When he starts gliding and you're not on his head, if he's going to do his Body Slam, wait for him to lower for you to jump over him to avoid the massive damage. Same strategies apply here. Use Unlimited POWs and Shadow Form to take out his HP quickly. -= Chapter 6 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Remember the fight against Beldor in Mercedes' book? This one is pretty much the same battle, only that instead of the 2 Axe Knights, we have 2 Revenants. OMFG, are you kidding me?! Skuldi is nearly the same as the red Sorcerers you've encountered through the whole stage. Your first task, however, is to take care of the Axe Knights. Use the Piercing Shots and Napalms you have left to take care of these. This is the most important thing to do. If you have any Painkillers and Unlimited POW left, use them. You can always make more. Hit those to have them bounce back at him and stagger him, allowing you to attack him. IF you have any Phozon Gauges left, use them on him. He'll summon some reinforcements, which are Ghosts. -= Chapter Epilogue ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Alrighty, this is the first time we fight Onyx, and it won't be the last one neither. This is one of the thougher fights you'll have. Let me list his attacks: o Fire whips. He takes out some whips from his chest. Don't ask how. o Fire Rain. He shoots fireballs from his back and they start falling from the sky, similar to Wagner's attack. o Fire Arc. 3 arcs of fire appear in your possition. o Fire Tackle. He'll engulf himself in fire and tackle you, similar to the attack of the Berserker and Unicorn. Beware though, because Onyx will jump at random times, so jumping it is quite difficult. o Flying hands. When he does his Fire Arcs, his hands split off and start flying around. As you can see, he's pretty tough. If you have a Jupiter Bangle, this fight becomes so much easier. It's important that you have Painkiller and Unlimited POW at all times, as well as the Shadow Form. When doeos attack 1, stay away from him. This attack is quite quick, so be careful. Your best way to attack him is when he does attack 2. When he does it, go into Shadow Form and attack him nonstop. You can deplete around 1/3 of his health like this. Anyway, that's the best way to damage him. Let me continue with his attacks. Fire Arc is quite annoying because you'll be inprisoned between these arcs. Attack them to destroy them. The attack you should be worried about is attack 4, Fire Tackle. This attack is very similar to the one of the Berserkers, only that this jerk jumps. He also likes to do it 3-4 times in a row, so try to outrun him and if that's impossible, try jumping over him, hoping this dude doesn't decide to jump. --=======------=======----=-=----===-----===-----------====----=-------===----- ==-------======-------====-=-====---=====---===========----====-=======---===== V E L V E T _,-^¯\_}\________________,-.________________/{_/¯`-._ ¯`-._/¯}/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯'-'¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯\{¯\_,-^¯ F A T E ____________________________________[sx205]____________________________________ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ -= Chapter 1 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Ok, Odette's breasts are huge, I know I said the same thing every time we fight against her, but they are huge and I like them =3, but she's still hard as all hell... well, not really if you're leveled up like me. I am level 9 and my Psypher is level 8. Once you use them, as soon as you do, press R1 to absorb all the Phozons and materialize all the Ghosts, which each one leave a Phozon behind. This way, you can keep spamming Cyclone over and over. -= Chapter 2 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Yay, time to take out Mercedes, the Princess... yes, she's still not Queen. Anyway, Mercedes is as easy as when you faught her as Gwendolyn, or probably easier. You've played as her so you should know how she moves and what are her attacks. She'll summon 2 green Soldiers, a Magician Fairy and an Archer Fairy. Yep. Take out these Magician Fairies first because they'll heal her to full health, which is not good (they did this twice on me). -= Chapter 3 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, Brigan again. That's pretty much it. You can even take all the hits 'cus they do minimum damage, really. You won't even need to heal during the battle. Try to always have an Unlimited POW and Painkiller on at all times. -= Chapter 4 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Oh man, Wagner. This time, with Velvet. They do indeed a ton of damage, but Wagner almost never is near the ground, so if you have any, use them while Wagner is on the floor. Use Velvet's ability to swing from the top of the screen to avoid most of Wagner's attack, even the Whirlwinds. -= Chapter 5 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Odin... he fights pretty much like always, which always welcome since now we know how he fights and what things NOT to do. Anyway, his attacks are much the same as last time, which are: o Punch Rain. He punches several times in front of him while walking. o Blue Ball. Remember Belial's ball of garbage? Keep doing this over and over. It may take some time, but it's the easiest way to do it. -= Chapter 6 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Ok, this sucker is hard. I'll list the strategies for both Belial and Beldor. Then I'll list how to deal with this battle, ok? ------ At the start, an Unlimited POW and a PainKiller. Belial is the same as when you fought it as Gwendolyn and the others. He has several attacks, and many of them can hurt you several times, which makes it annoying. Yes, here's a list of his attacks: o Tackles you. o Pukes garbage that falls from the top. o Pukes out a ball of garbage that bounces around the area, dropping trash that hurts you. After this attack, he'll probably do attack 4, to swallow all his puked garbage and you too in the process. Like I said, stay behind him at all times. With Velvet's swing ability, it's rather easy to get behind him and kick his ass. ------ Remember the fight against Beldor and Skuldi in Mercedes' and Oswald's books? This one is pretty much the same battle. Beldor is nearly the same as the red Sorcerers you've encountered through the whole stage. This is the most important thing to do. If you have any Painkillers and Unlimited POW left, use them. You can always make more. Beldor is a piece of cake alone. Remember those swords the Sorcerers use against you? Well, Beldor uses 4 instead of 2 (wow, huge improvement... XD). Hit those to have them bounce back at him and stagger him, allowing you to attack him. IF you have any Phozon Gauges left, use them on him. ------ Luckily, here's an easy way to deal with this battle. At the start, immediately use an Unlimited POW and a Painkiller mix. Now, it's better to take out Belial first as he's the hardest one and if you leave him for last, he'll be bugging you with the crap he throws at you. Try ignoring Beldor and his swords and focus on Belial. Once you've taken care of Belial, time to take out Beldor. Remember to stagger him with his swords. The good thing is that he won't summon any reinforcements, since he already has Belial. If you have any Napalms, use them here. -= Chapter Epilogue ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Holy ****. If you taught Onyx was big, you're in for a surprise. Darkova is like a giant Cerberus. He has three heads and uses fire as a weapon. For starters, you don't have the upper right map, sorry. Let me list his attacks for you: o Fireballs. He drops balls of fire on the ground that move in one direction. o Fire ring. He shoots a rapid ring of fire towards you. o Breath of Fire (not the game =P). He shoots fire on the ground, damaging you if you touch it. o Paw attack. He raises himself and hits the ground with the front paws. This creates fire along the ground, just like the previous attack. Ok, you can attack all three heads. To tell you the truth, he's not that hard. Onyx was harder, just to let you know. The best things you can use are Unlimited POW, Painkiller and Overload. Use these 3 together, jump in front of his middle head and attack. You'll be attacking all 3 heads, dealing 3x damage. This is pretty much it, seriously. Use those 3 things I mentioned above and attack all 3 heads. You'll defeat him in no time. The reason he's this easy is because you have the Jupiter Bangle (I hope so), Velvet has high defense and you're dealing 6x normal damage (3 heads + Overload). IT's that easy. I was hoping of something more, really. Also, make good use of Velvet's swinging ability. You'll find it very useful ;). --=======------=======----=-=----===-----===-----------====----=-------===----- ==-------======-------====-=-====---=====---===========----====-=======---===== A L L C H A R A C T E R S _,-^¯\_}\________________,-.________________/{_/¯`-._ ¯`-._/¯}/¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯'-'¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯\{¯\_,-^¯ A R M A G E D D O N ____________________________________[sx206]____________________________________ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ -= Chapter 1 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Holy ****. We have to fight Darkova again. He has three heads and uses a different element for each head. For starters, you don't have the upper right map, sorry again. This creates fire along the ground, just like the previous attack. o Ice shot. He shoots ice from his mouth. o Poison Mist. He covers the screen with a poison mist. Ok, you can attack all three heads. To tell you the truth, he's not that hard. He's a bit thougher than before. The best things you can use are Unlimited POW, Painkiller and Overload. Use these 3 together, jump in front of his middle head and attack. You'll be attacking all 3 heads, dealing 3x damage. Just like I said, he has some different attacks. He releases a Poison Mist that covers the entire screen. You can avoid this by staying on the ground and ducking. His Ice Shot is nothing to worry about. This is pretty much it, seriously. Use those 3 things I mentioned above and attack all 3 heads. You'll defeat him in no time. The reason he's this easy is because you're dealing 6x normal damage (3 heads + Overload). IT's that easy. I was hoping of something more, really. -= Chapter 2 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Alrighty, this fight is pretty similar to Darkova's. Gallon has several heads (3 I believe). He only has like 2 or 3 attacks, but let me list them: o He skewers you with 4 red bones. o He thrusts his heads into the ground and create many arcs with his neck. Avoid touching it or you'll get hurt. This is pretty much it. The annoying thing about this battle is this: He has 3 heads. Once you take care of all of them, his heart will pop out. You need to attack the heart and destroy it. If you don't you'll have to destroy all the heads over again. This is it. This is all the battle. Before destroying the last head, use an Unlimited POW, Overload, Painkiller, destroy the last head and when the core is opening, unleash all the fury within. -= Chapter 3 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Alrighty, this is the second and last time we fight Onyx, and it's pretty much like last time, only now we're controlling Mercedes. It's important that you have Painkiller and Unlimited POW at all times. When he does it, have an Unlimited POW on and attack him nonstop. He also likes to do it 3-4 times in a row, the best way to do this is to fly high and when he's about to hit you, he'll stop a little bit to jump. Use this small amount of time to lower yourself. -= Chapter 4 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Ok, this battle is kinda weird. You're fighting the Cauldron. You have to hit the eye on top. To get up there, you need to jump on those blue pipes on the side of the Cauldron. First, before continuing, let me list its attacks: o Tentacles. Some of those blue pipes are underground and come out like tentacles. Attack them to destroy them. o Balls of light. It'll shoot some balls of light towards you, causing Flame status. o Normal attacks. When you get to the top, you'll see some hands. Some of these attack you normally. o Ice blast. One of these hands sends an ice blast to Freeze you. Not good. o Instant KO. When a message says to get away from the Cauldron, do so or else you'll die. Like I said above, climb up the blue pipes on the Cauldron and once on top, use a Painkiller, an Unlimited POW and use Overload. Beat the crap out of all the hands first, then on the Eye. Now it'll stand up. Drop down, then climb to the top again using the blue pipes and start attacking the Eye and the arms again. This is it. Once you're done with the Eye, it'll lay down. Drop down to the floor and when it stands up, stay on the floor and you'll see a wired ball coming out of its ass. Attack it to deal some damage, just like if you were attacking the Eye. Now climb to the top and continue. Having a Painkiller is almost a necessity here. Overload and Unlimited POW, not so much. You may have them on though, if you want. -= Chapter 5 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Alrighty, they even put that nice song for you. Alrighty, the last fight of the game. This one is quite different actually. You need to get to the top of Leventhan. You have to run through his body upwards in order to attack him. Let me list the attacks used as you run to the top: o Thunder. A large Thunder falls down on you, dealing massive damage and knocking you some levels down. o Lightning ball. Some balls made of lightning approach you and deal around 150 damage a piece. You can attack them to destroy them. o Spiky wall. A part of Leventhan will block the path and his head will approach. Don't stay near the spiky body or you'll get hurt. When Leventhan's eyes go red, he'll try to bite you. These are all the attacks he used on me. When you reach the top, quickly jump on his head in between his horns and start attacking the crown. Attack nonstop until you're thrown back down by attack 1. He'll do the same attacks as you reach up to him. When you deal 1/2 of damage and 3/4 of damage, he'll shout and release some electricity, dropping you all the way to the freaking bottom of the fight. This is it. Climb up again and restart the whole things. ________ _________ ________ _________ \_____ \ / _____/ .===============================. \_____ \ / _____/ / | \ \_____ \ | 3] Latest Update | / | \ \_____ \ / | \/ \ | [sx300] | / | \/ \ \_________/_________/ '===============================' \_________/_________/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ = Version Odette (August 16th, 2010) - Finished the "FAQ". ________ _________ ________ _________ \_____ \ / _____/ .===============================. \_____ \ / _____/ / | \ \_____ \ | 4] Closing | / | \ \_____ \ / | \/ \ | [sx400] | / | \/ \ \_________/_________/ '===============================' \_________/_________/ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ~-~ ~-~ ~-~ 4.1] Credits ~-~ ~-~ ~-~ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-.sx401.-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= '-----' 1.
