As for this FAQ/Walkthrough, it is based on the JPN version of "Shin Onimusha: Dawn Of Dreams" that's released on January 26th, 2006. Also, this FAQ could contain spoilers. BTW, Shin means New; Oni means Ogre; Musha means Warrior; In the end, you get New Ogre Warrior: Dawn Of Dreams. Be very clear on Oni: you can stick with Oni and not translate, so you would have New Oni Warrior: Dawn Of Dreams. But, DO NOT get Oni mix up with Demon. In the world of Onimusha, Genma/Illusion Demon, is called the demon and Oni is not Genma/Demon. Also, Oni was translated into Ogre in the first game. Lastly, for the Chinese, Oni DOES NOT mean Ghost. Sadly enough, this Japanese version decides to translate Oni as Demon, thus, it is mixing up with Genma. They had Genma as Demon before. Look at this 1 example here: Soki and Ohatsu. Soki means Blue Oni/Ogre, but they have it as Blue Demon which is not exactly right. For Ohatsu, she has the Genma/Demon Blood, which is from the ex-Genma/Demon King, Nobunaga Oda. Blue Demon and Demon Blood aren't right, it should have been Blue Oni/Ogre and Demon Blood. Because Soki and Oda Nobunaga DON'T have the same blood. Soki has Oni/Ogre blood while that Oda has Genma/Demon blood. Further, at parts of the game, they left Oni as Oni which doesn't really match up with previously translated Demon. In the end, just look at Oni as Oni or Ogre, and for the Genma, it is just the Illusion Demon or just Demon. It isn't really all that confusing to begin with. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- \January 27th~29th, 2006/ - Version 0.1, beginning to write the walkthrough and got to Disc 2, stage 15 \January 30th~31st, 2006/ - Version 0.2, done the walkthrough ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walkthrough(Normal Mode)------------------------------------------------------- Disc One----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the Title Menu, select the third option, to Options. First choice there is System Language and the second one is the Sound Language. You can pick Japanese or English for both. After you made the selections, Exit by using the choice at the end. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just try out the controls and clear the enemies. At the corner, before you turn to the left, check for a short path. Break the jar and get the item. Clear the enemies and head to the next area. On the roof, clear more and more enemies. You will end up fighting that huge samurai genma. You will be in Onimusha form, so this should be easy. Slash the near enemies when you are free. When his sword is on the roof, keep attacking til the sword get knocked away. He will then use the arm. Repeat til you take out the arm. Most of his attacks can be avoided easily, by running. Perform a block with L1 for that arm sweep on the roof. You can also use the Triangle for the Onimusha form's special move. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A quick boss fight here. Danemon is rather slow and weak. Just hold down R1 and circle around him. Slash whenever you can. When he's about to slash you, guard with L1. When you knock him down, get near and do a stab. Aside from Danemon, there are also enemies around. Don't worry about them much, guard if you need to. Aside from the combo slashes, you can also use Oni Magic. Afterward, you will be in a house. For the Mirror here, you can use various functions. You can also Talk with Minokichi for various things. Whenever you're ready to go, exit out the door. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check the nearby for some jars and items. Then enter that door. One more Mirror in this room. Exit out at the other door. Check the near for the Drunkard's Diary 1. After, head to the left. By breaking few objects, you can go further left and down to the dried up river. At the end of that, you will find the Invention Notes. Once you are ready, there is that left door to the left of Minokichi, as well as an item near on the near table. Don't go through the door near Minokichi yet. Explore around for quite a few of items at the middle level. Take the left most ladder up for Footsoldier's Choker. If you go down the low level, you can get Drunkard's Diary 2, an item and a puzzle. The solution is Top Left once, Lower Left once. This gets you the Fire Dance. Once you are ready, go through that door. Clear the enemies, break some jars & get the item. Go through the next door. Lastly, check the hole in the fence or dog hole for more scenes. You will be fighting Jubei. She's pretty easy. Just keep up the guarding and strike after. Afterward, Jubei will join and follow you. Check around for the Plains Outpost Map. Clear the enemies and head up. There is a Mirror here if you need to use it. More scene after the bridge. Just lots of enemies to fight. After the first batch of enemies, go along the path. On the way, another puzzle. The solution is Top Right once & Lower Right once. Beware of the rocks coming down here, run to the end and take the ladder up. Move up for more scene. There comes the Test of Valor. Just defeat the Axeman within the time limit. To the left of the broken bridge, there is actually an opening with a Mirror. Afterward, take the ladder up. Continue on to the end, get the item and take the ladder down. Use the Mirror here to save your game. Take the ladder up and continue on to another ladder to go down. Now get back to the door to get back to Jubei. This gets you another Test of Valor. Afterward, back to the door and continue on. Clear the enemiesa or at least go pick up the item. There are two ladders to go down here, one by where you found the item, and another one at the other side. Take the other side one first. It will get you to more souls and a puzzle. The solution is Lower Right once, Top Right once. After, get back to go down the remaining ladder. Now, there are two doors here: one is way over the north and the other one is near. Ignore the near door since you don't have the key, just head to the north for another Test of Valor. After, go left of the door which is where that genma came out from. Get that item and there is also a Mirror. Enter the door here. Get the items and now, as you can see, there are these 6 lanterns here. Slash them and have them all on, then you will get one key. You still need another key, so back track out of this door. Go right this time. Pick up the item and on to the next area. Break some jars and get the item, take the ladder up. Get the key and go back to the previous area. Don't take the door that's at north, instead, head back to that door at south, that you weren't able to open before. Get the remaining key here and there is also a Mirror. Now, since you have the 2nd key to that sealed door, get back to that sealed door. Put in the 2nd key and more scene. Time for a boss fight. It's slow and lack of attacks. Get close, slash, magic and guard when it's about to strike. It's just a matter of time before you kill it. Within the house, you can speak with Minokichi to revisit past locations. You can also speak with Jubei, as well as combining items. Besure to check out the Plains Town. There are at least 2 areas where Jubei can walk on that gets you couple good items. In case you don't know, L2 is used to switch. Once you are ready, exit out the door. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will be controlling Jubei. Continue on and clear the enemies on the way. At the right, there is an item. To the left, a door but you don't have the key. At the further left, a path. Get the item which is a map and continue up. At the end, a door with lock(password is 136). Cross the log. Save your game at the right Mirror. From there, go right a bit more to spot another item. Now, go back and to the north, to a bridge. Cross it and to the next area. Continue along the path to another area. Get the near items, & for the passage here, just besure to guard more often. Get the item at the end of the passage, and save your game at the Mirror. Take the ladder up. More scene and quickily a Test of Valor. Gather the items around and take the right path at the middle of the area. Take the near ladder up and check the object. Back down and continue along the path. Another item on the way and you will soon get to a door. You don't have the key so move on. Ignore the ramp and at the end, have Jubei to go through the dog hole. It leads to a key at the end. If you want to go up the ramp, it leads to a Mirror. Back to the previous locked door since you have the key now. Take the ladder up. Continue on for an item that's another weapon and there is also a puzzle here. The solution is Lower Left once, Top Right once. Move on & save your game. Now, back track out, back to the area with the bamboo. Head to the early part and take that near ladder again. Jubei can actually crawl through and hit the lever above. Low down the ladder and Soki can climb up. Continue to the left, ignore the ladder and there is a puzzle at the end. The solution is Top Left once, Lower Right once. Before you go up that ladder, back to that lever. Here comes the trick. You need to separate Jubei and Soki, so at least one character is beyond the fence. Control that character that's beyond the fence to go up. Head to the right and low down the ladder. The other ally can then climb up. Near right, there is another ladder and further to the right, another lever. Do the similar thing before, separate your allies and one to pull the lever so the other one can go down the ladder. Get the oil and time to back track to that left lever that won't move. Beyond that, get the item and move up. Up on the roof, continue on to the left and get an item at the end. Move back a little from there, and cross to another roof. Continue on to the right toward another ladder. After, save your game. Go down the ladder. You will end up fighting Ohatsu. Yet another easy enemy. Use a tree to block her shooting, then go up to slash her. After that, Log On her to know where she goes. Repeat til you defeat her. After the battle, up to the roof. Travel to the other roof & go down the ladder at the end. You would spot that Jubei. Now, head to the right, go down about 2 ladders then to the right to save her. Back to the Hideout. If you head back up to the roof of the Fortress at Suruga, then you will get another Test of Valor. Once you are ready, exit out the door. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clear the enemies and move up. Get the map and clear more enemies. At the end, save your game at the Mirror. Take the red pearl from the statue, and that will have all the red seals off. Back track and take the near left door. Get the item and toward the puzzle box. Use magic to take out the 2 statues. As for the puzzle, the solution is Top Left once, Lower Right once and Top Left again. Next, take the near path to another area. More souls, statues & another puzzle here. The solution is Lower Left once, Top Right once. Now back track all the way to the first area. There are 2 more doors at south. Take the left one. Get the item, souls and go back. Take the right door. Get an item by the lantern, then take the other door to another area. Here, get the item, check one stone statue to unlock the blue seal then check the other stone statue for another gem. Head to the next area. Get the 2 items around, go through the door here to yet another area. You end up back to the first area of this stage. Go down to the middle part and head to the left door. Check the left stone statue and check the other one for another gem. After, you can only take one door here. Go through to another area. Go through another door to get back to the first area. Go back down to south. Take the right door this time. Like before, check the left statue and get another gem from the other statue. You should get a Test of Valor here. After, back to the first area. Head to the north and go take the left door. Check the stone statue here & get another gem from the other statue. Back to the first area. Head to the south and go take the left door this time. Check the left statue and then the right for another gem. Now, go through the door here to the next area. Then back to the first area. Lastly, head up to north and take the right door. Check the statue here and get the last gem from the right statue. Time to go back to the first area. Save your game, then check the northern door, and insert all 6 gems. Soki will end up fighting Tenkai. He's pretty skilled. Guard and wait for an opening. After, the boss fight and Tenkai will be the partner. This is a narrow area, so to avoid that shooting from the boss, use the openings by a door to dodge it. The rest is get near and attack. But besure to move back quickily, since the boss likes to swing that thing as you attack it. You gotta take your time here and attack it steadily. Or else you might end up using lots of healing items here before you can win. You will be back to the Hideout and that Tenkai joins the party. As usual, do what you need to and exit out the door at the end. Since you have Tenkai, you can go check out some dead bodies in Plains Town. Also, there is another Test of Valor at Sawayama Castle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go up a bit and a dead body. So use Tenkai to read him. Take the left path and move on. Clear the enemies and get the map. Next area, get the item & save your game. Continue on and read the dead body. Have on to stand on the platform and the other one to stand on the switch. Once the character got to top, before you go left and hit 2nd switch, have the character below to stand on the platform at right. There is also a puzzle here. The Solution is Top Left once, Top Right once and Lower Left once. Next area, get the note near and send Soki down the ladder. Now just using the switch and raise the platform up. Tenkai at the top and the Soki at lower part. Using the switches to raise the platforms. You can get the key by the second platform with Tenkai. Next, get the last item at the lower left. Then you will need to get Soki back up. Save your game and through the door. Send Tenkai down. Have him to move to the platform and then Soki can hit that switch. Have Tenkai to speak with the dead body & move on to another dead body. You will end up fighting this invisible enemy. Use Absorb/X to make it appear then attack. Afterward, you will get the Copper Gear. Now, have both characters to back track all the way to the very first area of this stage. Go right and insert the Copper Gear. You can get across now. Speak with that near dead body. Here, you can go north since you can't go through that western bridge yet. Get the item and more enemies. Moving on, get the item, save your game and go through the near door. Time to fight Roberto. Just circle around him & slash when you see an opening. This should be really easy. Afterward, clear more enemies and boss time. Sakon isn't too bad here. Just avoid being in front him. Head to his back and start slashing. Use magic if you can. After, Ohatsu will be the partner. With her, you can swing across to the other side. Get the item and through another door. Get to the near door to unlock so you can meet up with Soki. Go back and clear the enemies ahead. Get the item and take the left door here. Get the item and save your game. Go through the door at the end. Clear out the enemies, get the note and as you can see, there are 3 doors here. Take the left door here first. Get the key at the end and back track. Now you can unlock the right door. Get the map and up the ladder. Check the near puzzle here. The solution is the Lower Left once, Top Left once. Go back down. Back track and you can take the middle door. There is a Mirror and also a puzzle. For this puzzle, start with the upper part. Work with the 1st group from the left. Now, for the lower part. Work with the 2nd group from the left, then the 3rd group from the left. Now, back to the upper part. Work with the 1st group from the right. Moving on. Get the lever and back track. Insert the lever by the left door. Now for the trick here. Have each character to stand in front of a lever, then have one to pull the lever. Both characters will do it and raise up a platform. Now, take the right door. Take the ladder up again. Now, to cut the rope there, have Ohatsu to check the near blue point. Take the ladder down. Get the key and back to that raised up platform. Use the key at that door. For the near door with the near Genma device, use Ohatsu to blow it up. Get the item, and lever, then up the ladder. Get the item and back down, then go back. Go left and continue on to a ladder. Go around, get a note and another puzzle box. The solution is Lower Right once, then Lower Left once. Now, insert the lever, then have Ohatsu to swing across. Have both characters to stand in front of the levers. Pull it and the platform will raise up more. Go around for more souls and the key. Use the key at that door by the platform. There is a puzzle here. The solution is Lower Left once, Top Right once and Top Left once. Save your game at the Mirror here. Use Ohatsu to blow up that Genma device. Time for a fight against Munenori. Guard and wait for an opening. My way here is to do slashes, magic and time it right for an Issen/Critical. If he does the whistles, then his crows will come. Just guard. Always guard after his attacks, then you can do slashes, magic and Issen/Critical. Do that right, and you would not take much damage here at all. If he guard breaks you, use magic and try to do an Issen/Critical. If he's down, just keep your distance and wait. Afterward, get the item then back track. Save your game. Go back in and take the ladder up. More scene and boss time. Roberto will be your partner here. It is easier than it looks. The boss doesn't attack often, nor it will ever move. What you do here is go up and make the attacks, use magic and so. Next, move back to the other side of the area. Basically, just hit and run off its range. If you need to heal or refill magic, use the enemies that it spills out. Back to the Hideout. Roberto join the party. Keep it in mind that you have that Roberto in the party, he can move the big boulders in Plains Highway. Switch him and Jubei around, you can get quite a few items. There is also a puzzle and the solution is Top Left once, Top Right once and Lower Right once. You can get another Test of Valor as well. Next, Jubei can at least get through 2 locations in Sawayama Dungeon. Lastly, there is another boulder in Sawayama Dungeon that needs Roberto. When you are ready, exit out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From where you are, check the small path behind you that leads to an item. Now, continue up and watch out for items you can pick up on some tables. Next area, clear out the enemies, get the item on a table and to the next area. Time for another Test of Valor. There is a Mirror at this area, as well as the puzzle box. Start with the lower part. Move the 1st one from the right. Now, to the upper part. Move the 2nd one from the right, then move then 1st one from the left. Lastly, back to the lower part. Move the 2nd one from the left. Moving on to the next area. Clear more enemies, get another item on a table. On to the next area. Before the armored enemies, there is a small path to right. Check near for an item, continue along for another item and a Mirror. Might as well save your game. Back to the main path and continue up. Clear the enemies at the end, get the item and through that door. With Soki, move up and get the map. Continue up and avoid the fire balls. There is another item on the way. Next area, continue up and by a tree, check for an item. Save your game at the next Mirror. Next area, a note by a tree & continue to move up. Next, another item by a tree. By the next area, a Test of Valor. Save your game after. Go all the way up and there is another item on the way. As for the fire balls, just guard. First up, Tenkai will be fighting against Sakon. Same strategy as before, just move around a lot more quickily. Same way I used against Munenori from before, that's, slashes, magic and Issen if possible. Next, Soki will transform into Onimusha and fighting 4 armored enemies. Just keep slashing and guard if you need to. It's just a matter of time before you kill them all. If you can do Issen, the battle ends more quickily. Thirdly, Hideyoshi himself. First form of Hideyoshi, don't bother much, just go up and keep slashing. Once you deplete enough of his HPs, he will be power up. Now, becareful here. Even though you are in Onimusha form, you WILL get damaged from this form of Hideyoshi. Avoid the lightning balls and go up to slash his butt. After that, quickily move away or else he will send you flying. If you can't move away in time, just guard. This battle will take sometime. If you can use Issen, you can end this faster. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It will just be Soki and Ohatsu. Continue on and an item on the way. Next area, there is a Mirror if you need it. Also, for the puzzle box here, start with the left part. Move the first one from the top, then 2nd one from the top. Now, to the right part. Move the 3rd one from the top. Back to the left part. Move the last one from the top. Moving on to the next area. Move along and watch for an opening to the left. That leaves to another puzzle. The solution is Top Left once, Lower Right once. After, continue on from the near right path. After, back track to the left a bit for an item. At the left house, there is a puzzle. To the right, stab an enemy and there is another Test of Valor. Within the right house, a map and another item. Anyway, for the puzzle here, start the Lower Left once and Top Right twice. Now, take the middle path. Go to the right for an item, the left for more souls. Next area, continue up and a map on the way. At the end, get the item by the corner, save your game at the Mirror. Check the item and more enemies to fight. Continue on to the other path after. Go through the mountain path to another area. Get the item by the door. Continue to the next area, before the temple. Get a note by a tree, and another item by the door. Save your game by the Mirror and enter. (Try to don't miss anything and get everything within the Oni Mansion.) Now, within this Oni Mansion. Get the map first. Ok, the Oni Mansion has five floors and each floor has 16 rooms. This is not confusing if you keep track of the rooms. Each floor has 3 warp points, only one is real. Also, there are keys and locked doors. The locked doors can lead to items. Beware of the warp point may look like it's random, but the bookshelf(which is the room that looks a bit different from other rooms) will hint out where you should go. Aside from that, there are items, absorbs and Mirror among the floors as well. Each floor is layed out like this: 01-02-03-04 05-06-07-08 09-10-11-12 13-14-15-16 Each number represents a room. I will leave the exploring of the rooms to you. It shouldn't be too bad. For me, I will spot the bookshelf first. Then I will take my time to run around, to get items and everything. At Floor 3, there is a puzzle box. The solution is Top Left once, Top Right once, Lower Right once and Lower Left once. At Floor 5, there are 2 puzzle boxes. One is 3 by 5 & the other one is 3 by 3. For the 3 by 3 one, the solution is Lower Left twice, Top Right once. For that 3 by 5 one, start with the left part. Move the last one from the top, now for the right part. Move the 3rd one from the top, then move the top one. Now back to the left part. Move the 2nd one from the top. Once you made it to the end, you will end up fighting Gargant. Yes, he's the one from the intro of Onimusha 3, as well as the secret character in Onimusha Buraiden. He's good with his blade. Most of your attacks will be blocked by it. Once you knock away his blade, go up and do your thing. Few slashes, magic and possible Issen. He can also shoot out fire ball which you can avoid easily. Just because he doesn't have his blade, he's still pretty powerful to get close with. Keep your distance and attack carefully. Keep this up and you will beat him eventually. If you want to fasten this battle, make sure you have lots of MPs or any item that refills that. When he's got no blade, slashes, magic and Issen. After that, you can attack again, so you can repeat this as long as you have MPs. Next, fighting against Ohatsu again. Use Coil, Stab or Flight against her. Just guard and use R2 til you defeat her. Back to the Hideout and Ohatsu finally joins the party. You can also use the Onimusha Transformation for Soki now, as well as Demon Blood for Ohatsu. That Ohatsu can also use her special tech, Explosives. If you revisit Mountain Hiei, head toward the temple and you will get another Test of Valor on the way. There is also Dark Realm, which works like previous games' Phantom Realm. This one is 100 Floors, however. Rewards will be depended on who you use. You can take the Dark Realm whenever you wish, you can do it now or later. (At 100th Floor with Soki, you will get to fight Gargant again with few enemies helping him. Defeat Gargant & you will get the (Onikiri) Gokumonji which is the best weapon for Soki. Like wise, the others get their best weapons after you clear the 100th floor with the other characters.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go up and kick the canon to shoot at other direction. Defeat it, pick up the item, the map and there is also a Mirror. Next area, Test of Valor. After, on to the next area. Get the note & save your game. The ladder is folded, but to the left, you can swing up with Ohatsu. Pick up the near item and go unfold the ladder for Soki to come up. Next up, continue on and another Test of Valor. After, like before, have Ohatsu to swing up and unfold the ladder. Get the item and go through the door. Have Soki to stand on the switch, then Ohatsu to shoot that device. Next up, clear the enemies first. Then you can have Ohatsu to swing across. The device is above the caged door. Have Ohatsu to get in range, then Soki can stand on the device. Shoot it with Ohatsu. Now, that's not it. Have 1 character to pull the lever then quickily have the other one enter the door. Clear the enemies, pick up the note and an item. Save your game at the Mirror. Have Soki to stand on the switch. Now for the blue spot, it is actually just by the door with the genma device. BTW, you can also blow up that genma device by using Ohatsu. That door leads to a map, an item and a dead body, as well as a caged door and a lever below it. Beyond that caged door is another puzzle. Just have Ohatsu to go up the stairs and shoot after Soki stands on that switch. You will need to switch back to Soki and hurry up to across the slices. If you are too slow, use Onimusha form. Afterward, get the item and operate the machine. Moving on, back to the room with the elevator. Have one to pull the lever & the other to get pass that door. Clear the enemies, get the note at the right. Have Ohatsu to swing across and unfold the ladder. There are 2 doors here, one is caged but the lever is just to the left. Take the lower one first. Have Soki to stand on the switch and Ohatsu to shoot. As you notice, beyond the seal is just back to where you were. But, take the door here. Get the items and there is also a puzzle box here. The solution is Top Right once, then the Lower Left once and Lower Right once. Now back track to the 2 doors from before. You know what to do with the caged door. Have someone to pull the lever & the other character can go through. Don't bother with the door here since it's locked. Have Ohatsu to go up that stairs and she can shoot from there. As for Soki, stand on the switch. As soon as Ohatsu shoots that device, quickily have Soki to go through the 3 slices. There is a time limit before the seal goes back up. If you not fast enough, you can always have Soki to transform into Onimusha. Next, operate that machine. Back track to the room with the elevator and Mirror. Save your game. Use that elevator to go up. Go through the door. It's time to fight Munenori again. First bit, same as before, you should not have any trouble. Guard, slashes, magic and Issen if you can. Once you deplete enough of his HPs, time for the second half. He's faster, as well as using the crows. However, similar strategy as before. Since you have Ohatsu helping you, this is actually a bit easier. If any ally is low on HPs, get her or him to do the wait and recover, then you could switch to the other ally. Afterward, back to the Hideout. Jubei joins back the party. Jubei can also use the Demon Eye now, as well as her Quick Draw. Since you have Jubei now, have her in the party and go back to Azuchi Castle. There are at least 3 locations where she can go through. One leads to a puzzle box. The solution is the Lower Right once, Lower Left once, Top Right once. Head back to where you fought with that Munenori, you get a Test of Valor, as well as an item around. Once you are done, exit out to move on to the next stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the item and the map, and there are 2 doors here. Take the left door first. Get the item and save your game. The door here is locked. So back to the first area. Take the right door. Get the note and item, then head to the left. Yet another item on the way, as well as the key. Now, back track to the first area. Take the left door & check that locked door. Get the item and push at the machine. Back to the first area. Check the lever and through the door at the end. Get the book and continue down the path. For the genma here, attack them til they are near death, then finish them with R2. Yes, this is a Test of Valor. Save your game after. Yup, boss fight already. It's against Luis. Try to end this battle ASAP. He'll just teleport around, so just keep attacking. Next, he will have one ally at the second floor. Now, he will move around while being invisible. But, daggers that he's using pretty much give it away. Now, what you need to do is attack the daggers. Doing so, the daggers will be reflected back to him. Go up and do your thing. Once he has more daggers around, guard and look carefully. Some daggers, they just do a fake action to try to trick you. My way here is at the end of one side, so you can at least see 2 groups of daggers. Guard and if there is one group of real daggers coming to you, attack. Now, another thing to beware about and that's the close range charm/seal like attack from Luis. This is deadly if you don't attack Luis within some time. Repeat til you beat him. If he goes up to the second floor, switch to the other character. Back to the Hideout. Roberto joins back the party. He can use the Exorcising Fists now, as well as Death Grip. Since you have Roberto, back to the Western Hospital. At where you foguht with Luis, there is a Test of Valor. Lastly, you can also have Roberto to push about 3 boulders here. Also, you can get back to the Azuchi Castle. If you already have Jubei explore here, or at least unlocked some door, then you only need to use Roberto & that Ohatsu. Yes, there are a boulder and a genma device attached to some door. That door leads to the Oni Of Peace, as well as a puzzle. Start with the left part. Move the 3rd one from the top, then the last one from the top. Then the right part. Move the 2nd one from the top and lastly, the 1st one from the top. Once you are ready, exit out the door at the Hideout. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the item and for the boulder, have Roberto to push it. Switch out Roberto to Ohatsu then enter the door. First up, have Ohatsu to blow up the genma device . This leads to an item. Now, back track. You need to switch back to Roberto. Crossing here is easy, only the 2nd lever requires Roberto. Get the item and back to the middle path. Go north and insert the lever. Pull it and the water gates will shut. Now, you can work your way to get both items. Just remember that you can only get to the items when the bridges are up. Afterward, enter the door at the top right corner. Enter the near right door. Continue on through another door. You have been here before, and there are still those 3 doors. However, you can only take one door and that's the middle one. Save your game and go up the ladder. Roberto can pull the lever for a key. Now go back down and take the near door. Go up the ladder. Have Roberto to punch that metal door. Go up the ladder and have Roberto to push the lever. Get the item and through the near metal door by using Roberto. Save your game and through the door. A Test of Valor here. Get the item and go up the ladder. Get the book and use the shortcut. Get the item and go down. Get the book and through the fire balls, to another ladder. Before you use the ladder at the end, use the other side for a puzzle box. Start with the upper part. Move the 2nd one from the left, then the 3nd one from the left. Now, for the lower part. Move the 1st one from the right, 2nd one from the left. Back to the upper part. Move the 2nd one from the left. Then you can take that ladder down. Back in the dungeon, get Roberto's Pendant. Exit out and save your game. Move one and you will get a Test of Valor. Get the gear after. Head to the right and put in the gear. Cross to the next area. Continue on and a puzzle box at the end. Start with the lower part. Move the 2nd one from the left. Now for the upper part. Move the 2nd one from the right. Back to the lower part. Move the 1st one from the right. Back to the upper part and move the 1st one from the left. Go through that opening after. Continue on, up a ladder and have Roberto to push the boulder. After, head to the most right and switch out Roberto to Jubei by the Mirror. Back to the left, and time for more puzzle. Soki for the switch and Jubei to be on the platform. For Jubei, get the item and through the hole. Get another gear and back track. Now, head to the right, save your game and use the gear. Cross and through the near entrance. Defeat the enemies and continue on. Get the item and save your game. There will be a boss beyond, and I am using Ohatsu as my partner. It's that same boss from before, same strategy here. With Ohatsu, equip her the best weapon you got, and stay by a door. Keep attacking and the boss shouldn't even be able to attack you. Back to the Hideout, exit out when you are ready. After some scene, the game will ask you to change to Disc 2. Do so. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walkthrough(Normal Mode)------------------------------------------------------- Disc Two----------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the map and through the door. Get the note and save your game. Take the door at north. There is a switch, as well as a lever. The switch takes you up and the lever spins around. Hit the switch to move up. Go through this metal door with Roberto. Destroy the machine here, get the item that's behind then take the ladder that leads up. The near door gets you to an item and to the right, there is another puzzle. The solution is Lower Left once, Top Right twice and Top Left once. Go down and take the ladder that leads down. Get the item and go back up. Back to the big room. Check the lever to spin it. Enter the door. Go up and go south for a crest. Head up and get a note. Now go back to the big room. Check the lever again to spin it. Go through this metal door. Get the book, and destroy the machine. Behind the machine, there is also one puzzle box. Move the last one from the top of the left part, move the 2nd last one from the top of the left part, then move the top one of the right part and finally, 2nd one from the top of the right part. There are 2 ladders here, the one that leads up will get you an item and an area that requires Ohatsu. For the ladder that goes down, since you do have the right crest, so you can get through that. Beyond that is another crest. Now, back track to the big room. Pull the lever for another spin. Hit the switch to go down. Take the left door. There is a Mirror where you can switch ally, and you can also unfold the ladder here. This is a good chance to get back to the area that requires Ohatsu. Any way, go through the door near the Mirror. Go up the ladders and you will get to an area where you can absorb souls. When you are done, back to the area where you unfolded some ladder. By the unfolded ladder, Ohatsu can swing across to the other site. Then she can unfold that other ladder. Take the further ladder up. That leads to another machine you need to destroy and a puzzle. The solution is NorthWest, East, North, West and South. Go back and use Roberto to go through the metal door. Hit the switch to go up. Next, pull the lever and have Roberto to go through the metal door. Go down and you can now go through the door. Get the key. Nowe back track to the big room. Pull the lever and push the switch to go down. Take the left door. Now, head to the left, down&up ladders, to the metal door to the left. Get through it with Roberto. Next area, this time, since you have the key, go through that locked door. Go up the ladder and destroy the last machine. Don't forget to get that item behind it. Now, time for some back tracking. Remember that computer area before you first got to the big room? Get back there. Save your game and through that door at the right. A Test of Valor here, and to get those 2 items and absorb, you need to use that Ohatsu to swing around. Once you are done, take the other door. Continue to the north door. Pick up an item at north then take the door. Get 2 items and to the north door again. Pick up the item that's near you, then continue to go down. An item and another Mirror. Save your game and move through that door at the end. Time for the boss fight, against Mitsunari. Starting up, he will be using those flames. Just absorb them. If you got hit, cure the poison with Antidote. As for his close range attack, you can guard. If he disappears, guard and watch out for that fan. When he's low on HPs, wrap up the battle in Onimusha mode. If the ally dies, don't bother. I would recommend using Ohatsu here for the most parts of the battle, and the last bit with Soki in Onimusha mode. After, back to the Hideout. If you head back toward where you fought with that Mitsunari, you will get another Test of Valor on the way. Once you are ready to move on, exit out to the next stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go down, get the map and another item on a boat. Continue on to the next area. Move on and save your game. You will get to another Test of Valor. After, get another item at a corner, then to the next area. Get an item on a boat and continue on. Before you head in the fence, go right to spot a puzzle box. Move the last one from the top of the right part, then to the last one from the top of the left part. Next, the 2nd one from the top of the left part and the top one of the right part. Continue on and save your game. For the stairs that's near, it leads to a book and another puzzle. Move the top one of the right part twice, then the last one from the top of the left part, the 2nd one from the top of the left part & the last one from the top of the right part. Take the other door to move on. Get the item that's near. As you can see, there are lots of rooms here. There is one that requires Ohatsu. Beyond that room is a note on how to determine the password. It's random here, so I can't help you with the password. However, I will use what I have as an example. First, check each room and what it has. The three pictures are in 3 random houses, but the amounts of the animals are fixed. BTW, there is also a metal door house, so you need Roberto. For me, I have pictures with these: 3 Bears 2 Elephants 1 Whale Going by what that note says, my password is 321. That also means, I don't have 4 Dogs, 5 Birds or 6 Butterflies pictures. As the note says, the number of the most amount of animals come first, the least comes last. (Example 2: Say you got 1 Whale, 6 Butterflies & 5 Birds, then the password is 651.) Once you have the password, enter it by the locked door. Now, have each ally to stand in front of one lever, and with the oil found in the metal door house, the bridge will be lowered. Cross & enter the right house first. Absorb and another note. Read it in order to figure out the 2nd password. Don't take the left door yet, go up and save your game. As for the puzzle box here, move the 2nd one from the left of the upper part twice, then the first one from the left of the lower part. Lastly, move the 1st one from the right of the upper part. After, take that other door. Now, there are 6 houses here, and one locked door. One house needs Ohatsu and one needs Roberto. Now, the numbers of the houses as as the houses appear on the MAP: 6-5-4-3-2-1 Now, I must repeat, this is what you see on the MAP(press Select). That means the house at the most left house of the MAP is Number 6. First, get that item near the Mirror first. Enter each house to check the picture. Yes, all houses have pictures. I would just start from 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1. Here is what I got: 6 - 1 Whale picture 5 - 6 Butterflies picture 4 - 5 Birds picture 3 - 4 Dogs picture 2 - 2 Elephants picture 1 - 3 Bears picture As for my password according to the rules in the note, you only need to worry about the pictures of the 1 Whale, 2 Elephants and 3 Bears. That means, house # 6, 2 and 1 for me. Remember, Whale before Elephants and Elephants before Bears. Lucky for me, I already have the right order, 621. (Example 2: Basically, only the house numbers for the 1 Whale, 2 Elephants and 3 Bears matter. Say you have 2 Elephants at #6, 1 Whale at #2 & 3 Bears at #5. Since Whale(#2) before Elephants(#6) and Elephants(#6) before Bears(#5), thus, the password is 265.) Next, use Ohatsu to swing across. Unlock the door for Soki. Back through that door. Get the item and there is another puzzle. This is a full one, so words might be a bit confusing, here is the order, same as in the game: 01-02-03-04-05 06-07-08-09-10 11-12-13-14-15 16-17-18-19-20 21-22-23-24-25 1/ The group of 01/02/06/07 2/ The group of 07/08/12/13 3/ The group of 08/09/13/14 4/ The group of 04/05/09/10 5/ The group of 14/15/19/20 6/ The group of 17/18/22/23 After, open the metal door with Roberto. Get the key and you can get pass that locked door now. Get near the ship. It's boss tim, against Sakon. The area is rather limited, so getting to his back might be difficult. However, same strategy here. You only use Soki here & there is no Follower. Keep your distance and wait for an opening if you want to play this the safe way. If he gets a headache, go up and do your thing. He is pretty strong this time, as well as having lots of HPs, so this might actually take a while. If you attack him while he's got the headache, besure to not get in the range. Because he will attack rapidly after that. After, you will be on the ship. Tenkai joins back the party. He can uses his Oni Gauntlet, as well as Art of Purification. Sadly, you can't revisit places while you are on the ship. Enter the room once you are ready. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Get the item and toward the Mirror. Continue on to the next area. Another Test of Valor, get the item and save your game. Next, there is a puzzle box here. Move the last one from the top of the right part, then move the 2nd one from the top of the left part, then 3rd one from the top of the left part, the 2nd one from the top of the right part, and that 1st one from the top of the right part. Next area, Test of Valor here again. Get 2 items and save your game again. Get a move on and eventually, boss fight already. It's against Yodo. Clear out all the side enemies and she will transform into her true form, Genma Ophelia. Like the previous Mitsunari, I would recommend using Ohatsu here. Ophelia is pretty fast, and likes to use poison attacks like that Mitsunari. Of course, you can absorb those fires as well. There are also side enemies here, which is good for Chain Issen/Critical, and damage Ophelia. Afterward, you can revisit Abandoned Village. Another Test of Valor at where you fought with Ophelia. Anyway, take the stairs once you are ready. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Move up and a Test of Valor. Get the 3 items and move on. Get the item near and continue up. Another item before the door. Next, get the map and save your game then you can move on through the north door. Clear the enemies, get the note & through another door. As you can see, this looks like stage 12 a lot. Take the other door first. Get in another door for a note. Back out and swing across with Ohatsu. Unfold both ladders. Go through the metal door with Roberto. Ignore another lever and into another door. Get the 2 items and back track through the previous metal door. Just near where Ohatsu can swing, there is another door. You do have the crest now, so use it to go through. Speak with the dead body with Tenkai. This gets you the blue crest. Next, back to that room by the Mirror. Connect the plug and it's working now. Now back track and to the first lever. Press the switch to go up. Get in the door. Take the ladder up. The left needs Ohatsu, and go through the right. You will get to another ladder and door. Get the door which leads to an item. Then you can take the ladder down. Get the note and destroy the first machine. Don't forget the item behind it. Now back track to the big room. Pull the lever to spin. Use Roberto to go through the metal door. Take out the 2nd machine and get the puzzle behind it. The solution is Lower Left once, Top Left once, Top Right once. There are 2 ladders here. The one that leads up gets you another item. Take the ladder that leads down after you switch in Tenkai. You have the crest, so go through that door and use Tenkai. This gets you the backup power key. Back to the big room. Spin with the lever another time. Go to another door. Destroy the 3rd machine and get the item behind it. Now, as you can see, there is a spot for Jubei here. Take the ladder down. Absorb the souls and there is another plug at the machine. Unlock the door here then go back through, and back to the big room. Spin with the lever 2 times. Go in this room. Up the ladder, through the door and continue on. Go down another ladder, and put in the plug at the machine. Now back to the big room. Pull the lever 3 times, so you are back to that switch. Press it to go down. Take the metal door with Roberto. Since you have the key, go through the near door while having Jubei as your partner. Go up the ladder and Jubei can head through the dog hole. Destroy the last machine. Behind it is a puzzle. Move the 1st one from the left of the lower part, the 2nd one from the left of the upper part, the 2nd one from the right of the upper part and 1st one from the right of the upper part. Go back through the dog hole and down the ladder. Take the door to the right and continue on, you will end up back to the early PC room of this stage. Save your game, and by that other door, there is another book. Anyway, go through the door. Toward the item for Test of Valor. Get the item and through that door. Next, go get the 2 items at the corners, then through that door. Get the 4 items and go through another door. One more item and through another door. Continue on and another item on the way. At the end, save your game. It's time for another boss fight, but against Mitsunari. Pretty much the same as last time, still prefer using Ohatsu here. Defeat him and time for his Genma form, Claudius which is quite an ugly centipede. Anyway, you can still absorb the fires. LogOn him to know where he's coming from. Avoid or guard. If you can not see him, then he's likely to attack vertically. Avoid and chance to attack his butt. There is a core by his tail, if you hit that, he will pause for few seconds. Like before, use Ohatsu. Afterward, back to the camp. Do what you need to do, and keep it in mind there is still a spot for Ohatsu in the Shimabara Facility, if you haven't go that yet. It leads to another puzzle. Move the 2nd one from the top of the right part, the last one from the top of the right part, then the last one from the top of the left part, finally, the top one of the left part. Once you are ready, move on the stairs. You will get Mini Goro's Thread. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Move up, get the item and clear the enemies. Next, get the item, map and save your game. Moving on, a puzzle box on the way. Move the 1st one from the right of the lower part, 2nd one from the right of the upper part, 2nd one from the left of the upper part, 1st one from the left of the upper part, 2nd one from the right of the upper part, finally, the 2nd one from the left of the lower part. Clear the enemies and to the next area. Continue on, pick the item, and more enemies to kill. Don't forget there is another puzzle box around. Move top one of the right part, 2nd one from the top of the left part, top one of the right part, 2nd one from the top of the left part, 3rd one from the top of the right part and last one from the top of the right part. Next area, continue up for Test of Valor. Get the item and save your game. Go through the door after. Get the map by the statue. Now, there are 2 puzzles you can take here. For the left one here: move the top one of the left part, move the top one of the right part, move the 2nd one from the top of the left part, then last one from the top of the left part and finally, 2nd one from the top of the right part. As for the right one, much more complicated. Move the second one from the right of the upper part, the 1st one from the right of the lower part, 3rd one from the right of the upper part, 3rd one from the left of the lower part, 1st one from the left of the upper part, finally, the 2nd one from the left of the lower part. Moving along the path, take the stairs up and through another door. Get another diary, absorb some life, then continue your way up. Get the 2 items then time to go down stairs. Save your game on the way. Before the door, check nearby for a puzzle box. Move the 1st one from the right of the upper part, 2nd one from the right of the upper part, 1st one from the left of the lower part, 2nd one from the left of the lower part & the 1st one from the left of the lower part. Enter through the door after. There is a Mirror, and yet another puzzle box. Move the middle one of the upper part, move the 1st one from the left of the upper part, move the 1st one from the right of the upper part, finally, move the middle one of the lower part. Go take the ladder up after. Take another ladder after. Go around the nearby for yet another puzzle box. Move the first one from the right of the upper part, middle one of the upper part, 1st one from the left of the lower part, then move the 1st one from the left of the upper part, finally, the 1st one from the right of the upper part. Now go save your game, go up the stairs and pick up an item on the way. It's time for another boss fight, against Munenori. One on one, Jubei VS Jubei, heh. Use Masamune for Akane. Same strategy as before, wait for your chance to slashes, magic then Issen. Munenori can also make one duplicate, but it will disappear when you attack the real one. Remember Akane has Demon Eye as well, don't forget to use that. Afterward, you will be at the Akechi Mitsuhide Tomb. This is it, you are just before the final stage, you should wrap up whatever you wish to do now. That Minokichi is gone, but there is this white flame you can check with. It offers the Dark Realm, as well as Revisit. With Revisit, you can check out about 14 locations that you have been through, from the beginning of the game to this point. However, Oni Mansion doesn't seem to be available. ~Leveling Up To Level 100/Max~ Head to the Shimabara Facility. Head toward the area where you fought the boss. On the way, you will see those fire balls. Equip Gem of Will. Each fireball you kill will get you about 10000 EXP. Use Ohatsu, or anyone with a weapon that can send out attack wave. ~Revisit~ - Plains Town, Ohatsu - This puzzle box's solution is Top Right once, Lower Left once, Lower Right once, Top Left once - Fotress at Suruga, Ohatsu, Tenkai, Jubei - Various items - City of Sakai - Test of Valor at where you fought with Sakon - Nagoya Castle - Test of Valor at where you fought Munenori I will leave the rest of the revisits to you. You should have done all Test of Valor by now. Lastly, you still need few Oni Charms. ~1st & 2nd Set Of Outfits~ Upon clearing all the Test of Valor, you get the 1st set. If you have cleared all those Test of Valor with Gold Oni Medals, then you will get the 2nd set. ~Oni Charms & 3rd Set Of Outfits~ There are 10 of them in total and get you the 10 passwords in the Oni Special of the Title Menu. With the passwords, you are to confirm them at the site by using specific cellphone. Of course, this can ONLY be done in Japan. Anyway, at the end, you will get the real passwords and input them in the Oni Special. Then, you will get the special weapons and outfits for the characters. Those outfits are from characters of Ryuu, Ken, Cammy, Chun Li and Guile of Capcom's Street Fighters. ~Dragon and Oni Sets Of Accessories~ There are 2 sets, so 8 in total. 2 of each set will be found in the course of the game. The remaining 4 are found in the Dark Realm, by Tenkai, Jubei, Ohatsu and Roberto. Anyway, Oni and Dragon sets will grant you Unlimited MP and OP, which is just awesome and cheap. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (FINAL) Continue up and pick up an item on the way. Next, continue up and another item to pick up. Further, clear the enemies and there are 2 puzzle boxes here. For the left one, move the top one of the right part, 2nd one from the top of the right part, last one from the top of the right part, 2nd one from the top of the left part, top one of the left part, 2nd one from the top of the left part. As for the right puzzle, it's much more complicated. At the right small path, save your game and get the item. Back on the main road and continue on. Eventually, Roberto will leave the party to fight this genma. After, back track and by that door, there is another item. Once you get that, go back and move on. Defeat the enemies, especially that big one at the end. DON'T take the door yet, to the left corner, there is actually another puzzle. Move the 2nd one from the right of the upper part, 1st one from the left of the upper part, 2nd one from the left of the lower part, 2nd one from the right of the upper part, and 1st one from the right of the lower part. Next area, save your game and head up. Tenkai will leave the party. Keep going up. Jubei will leave the party, as well as Ohatsu. Get the map and save your game. Continue on, and more item on the way. You will come to a puzzle. Move the 2nd one from the top of the left part twice, then move the last one from the top of the right part twice, move the top one of the left part twice. Next area, continue on and yet another puzzle on the way. Middle, northwest, northeast, southeast, southwest and middle. Continue on and pick up another one memo. Within, get the item and save your game. Continue on and go up to the second floor. Get another memo, an item and one last puzzle. Move the 2nd one from the right of the upper part, 1st one from the right of the upper part, 1st one from the left of the upper part, 2nd one from the left of the upper part, finally, the 1st one from the left of the upper part. Next area, continue on and another item on the way. At the end, here comes the 4 consecutive battles: ~Rosencrants/Luis He can spill out enemies as well as poison fires which you can absorb. Next, he can use liughtning attack, which you can easily avoid that. Now, wait for him to stomp the ground. Here comes your chance to attack. ~Claudius/Mitsunari Still like before, but you only have Tenkai here. Same old aiming for the core which can stop him for seconds. Also, you could use Oni Magic Level 3 to fasten things up. ~Munenori Same old Munenori from before, with few additions. Same old slashes, magic and Issen. ~Ophelia Perfect match here. If you have Ohatsu defeat her before, this is just as easy here. Go in and save your game. Go through the door here & time for the 2 consecutive battles. ~Hideyoshi/Robot Slow and most of his attacks are close range. Get close, attack the 2 legs. Get away and his attacks won't get you. Once the robot knees down, go up and attack it. Use Oni Magic Level 3 if you can. ~Yodo/Genma Mother Tree You can pick your partner here, I am going with Ohatsu. Equip the Prosperity Charm, best weapon like Gokumonji, Blessed Dragon Eye and the likes you want. Have Soki to transform into Onimusha, you can finish this within one Onimusha transformation. After, save your game, exit out and time for the final 2 consecutive battles. ~Fortinbras/Genma Form Ah, the memories of the 1st Onimusha. With Tenkai/Samanosuke's Oni Gauntlet, Soki will transform into the Super Onimusha. This is an in air battle. The most damage you can do and quickest way to end this is the Ultimate Critical. But, Fortinbras is no joke. He's got lots of attacks and lots of them can damage you heavily. If you can't avoid them, keep your HPs high and attack whenever you can. Take your time, get close and use Ultimate Critical when you can. ~Fortinbras/Human Form No Super Onimusha here, just the normal Soki with a partner of your choice. The battle is annoying and time consuming. When he's in air, don't bother with him since you can't damage him. When the balls around, don't bother with that as well. Move around and avoid. When you see him charging up this fireball, the screen should hint you on absorbing, do so. Absorb them all, and he will try the fireball at you. Attack it to deflect it back at him. Now, see the round balls around? You can get rid of them now. Once you do so, Fortinbras will come down. This is your chance to attack and do your best with it. The lower HPs he has, the more deadly this battle becomes. There will be more round balls to mess with you. Also, there is one crazy laser from him, that can do tons of damage and really hard to avoid. For that, run around the whole area in circle. Take your time and repeat til you beat him. After that, you have beaten the game. The game will get you to make a save. If you load this, you will play the game from the beginning. The Game Mode is the SAME as the one on that saved file. Anyway, you get to keep pretty much every- thing. Once you have beaten Normal Mode, you will unlock Hard. If you are to start on Hard Mode or a new difficulty, you DON'T get to keep anything.
