Tales of Symphonia Completion Guide Author: Nick "Seorin" Emmerich E-mail: seorin@wi.rr.com Date: 08-17-2004 Version: 0.9 Version History 0.9 - Ran out of time before Gen Con. The guide is complete enough to be helpful, but lacks the proper formatting and likely has a handful of mistakes. Coming Soon Fixing the errors I know my first draft will have, adding more information to the item collection section and possibly adding a monster collection section. That's really quite a bit broader than it sounds. Titles encompass everything, so to get all the titles in the game means to experience everything the game has to offer, including the collection of every single item in the game (for one measly title). Earning every title will require going through the entire game no less than three times. This guide is written to make it easy to prioritize which titles to get on which playthroughs, and also to help make sure you don't forget anything. Although there are nine sections in all, only four of them matter and this tiny introduction is one of them. The other important sections are 3, 4, 5, and 9. Sections 2, 6, 7, and 8 only exist for people who have gone through large portions of the game without ever having known this guide existed. They are near entirely useless if you're following the main checklist, which summarizes the information in sections 2, 6, 7, and 8 in a chronological fashion so that it might function as a checklist as you pass through the game. Simply print out the last section and check off items as you go through the game and you're guaranteed to not miss anything important. Do make sure to read the other important sections, however. That way you know what I mean by 'Skit Titles' and you won't inadvertently require yourself to play through the game a fourth time to get a title you missed. You'll also be able to catch things like battle titles and the 'figurine collector title' that don't fit into any real chronological area. Notes on specific sections: Treasure Collection This section is listed by location with treasures numbered in each dungeon from 1 to however many treasures are in the dungeon. Lines that start with a number describe how to get a treasure, sometimes referring to information on previous lines. Lines that start with a - are instructions to do something that will not directly get you a treasure but will set you up to get a treasure either by completing a necessary puzzle or by walking you to a location where it is easier to describe how to get the next treasure. Most treasures are listed in such an order that it is easiest to walk through the list in proper numerical order as you explore the dungeon. If you are exploring and you get treasure 4 without having seen treasure 3, chances are you missed it and need to backtrack. Item Collection This section isn't even close to being finished. I decided I'd rather post this now, despite it being incomplete, instead of waiting until next week since I leave for Gen Con tomorrow morning. This section is only useful as a list to see what you have and what you don't. It should contain helpful information to assist in filling the holes in your list sometime before the end of August. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 2: Title Listing A guide on collecting all the titles wouldn't really be complete without listing all of the titles somewhere. Even though this is an important section of the guide, it's really not one you should read. Even the titles themselves contain at least two spoilers if not more (depending how far you read into them). Furthermore, it's not at all necessary to read them. All of the titles that require actual work have their own sections and/or are listed in the checklist. All of the titles that contain massive spoilers are gotten automatically. He will grant unique titles to every character that maxes out all of their stars on every single recipe in the game. The first step is to collect every recipe in the game, and the second step is to have each character cook until they're maxed. Both are rather large tasks, but difficulties can be minimalized. If you're diligent about getting each recipe whenever it becomes available, you won't miss recipes and you will have to do very little backtracking. It is probably best to simply follow along the checklist throughout one playthrough of the game to make sure you get everything. Actually mastering all the recipes with even one character can be a monumental task if you don't know how to do it right. At least 2 trips to a food shop are required per character and each individual recipe takes at least 5 battles to master. The fastest way to account for both time sinks is to enter Gaoracchia Forest on the Sybak side. Walk up to the flower there and just escape the combat, then quickly enter the menu and cook. When you exit the menu you'll be thrown back into combat again - just escape and repeat the process. Don't worry when you run out of ingredients, keep cooking as many recipes with as many different people as you can until the only things left to cook are mastered by everybody. When that happens, head to Sybak and stock up on food at their plentiful school cafeteria - it's the best food shop in the game. The only thing you need that it doesn't have is Purple Satay, which can be acquired in Katz Village. Thankfully, only 4 recipes actually require that ingredient and you can save those for last. -Formal Wear Titles If you follow the Princess series of events (resulting in Zelos' Princess Guard title) you can get an entire series of costume titles after the event surrounding the Flanoir Doctor. Simply return to Meltokio and speak with Sebastian to kick things off. You will automatically get Lloyd's Nobleman title each time you do this, but you are then limited to only getting 4 other formal titles on the current playthrough. You will get the title for whoever you choose in the dialogue option as well as for the three other people you talk to during the dinner party itself. -Swim Wear Titles These titles are very similar to the Formal Wear Titles, but a bit more difficult. If you follow the entire Beach series of events to their end you will get new costume titles for Lloyd, whoever you choose in the dialogue option, and the two other characters that have the highest affection rating. If you're trying for a specific character the only way to get that character is to either choose them in dialogue or make sure you talk to them every time the party splits in addition to seeking out their skit points and making sure to answer those dialogue options appropriately. -Coliseum Titles Every character gets a unique title for winning Advanced Single Mode at the Coliseum. For some characters (Lloyd, Zelos) this is easy and requires no additional explanation. For others, a few tricks may be required. In any case you would do well to have good equipment and lots of ingredients to cook some Miso Stew between battles. Raine, Genis: There are two tricks for each of these two characters. One trick is to equip them with the appropriate exsphere combinations so that they can both speed cast without fear of interruption. The other trick is to equip exsphere combinations that give them a chance of randomly casting their spells instantaneously and then jam alternately on the Tech and Block buttons (cast, cancel, cast, cancel) until they randomly insta-fire. The latter trick requires a bit more finger dexterity, but is likely the easier path to follow. Regal, Presea: Spend some time leveling up their techs so they have lots of good techs to choose from. The most useful techs are any that deal a lot of damage or knock the enemy away (as well as one of Regal's healing techs). Sheena: Some people prefer fast techs with a short recovery time, but it's difficult to lock the enemy into a spot where he can't retaliate and you can infinite combo him to death. Knock away techs, on the other hand, guarantee you won't be counterattacked and usually do hefty damage besides. Demon Seal is a must and Power Seal Absolute isn't bad if you find yourself doing little damage (but you should have a money bag anyway). Sheena's biggest weakness is a lack of hit points and defense combined with no healing. Try not to get hit and make sure to equip a Black Onyx before starting. Colette: By far the most difficult character to win the arena battle with. It would be by far the easiest to just try to get her arena title when playing with expx10, getting all her best equipment and making her level 150 before even trying it. That being said, it is definitely possible (though quite difficult) to win the arena with Colette without even achieving level 90. First off, equip her with a holy symbol (or just change her equipment mid-battle if you really want to use something else to beef her up). Also, make sure to master her on cooking Miso Soup and have her cook after every battle even if you think you don't need it. Angel techs are straight out since they almost always do far too little damage to justify the casting time (even with Angel Song). Grand Chariot, on the other hand, is an absolute must. It's practically the only way for her to damage some enemies (velocidragon, crush tortoise). If she's strike type, para ball and torrential para ball are the way to go. If she's tech type, ignore pow pow hammer and go straight to hammer rain (to use on the Drake and only the Drake). Ring Whirlwind is also invaluable against the very few enemies with a low defense. Most importantly, remember that her forward+attack combos are too slow to be effective, but her neutral combo is actually relatively fast (for her). Always make sure to leave the analog stick alone when comboing with Colette (and remember she only has a 2-hit combo). Velocidragon and Dragon Rider - Do a quick Grand Chariot on the dragon to make the rider fall off, then back off and let the rider chase you. Take him out as quickly as possible with Ring Whirlwind, then turn your attention (and Grand Chariot) onto the Velocidragon. Crush Tortoise - combo, grand chariot, repeat Drake - Hammer rain (or torrential para ball) are all you need to win this fight. Provided you don't get caught with a blast of fire breath you've got the battle made. Once the Drake is knocked out of the sky, make sure he doesn't get back up again. Ice Warrior - combo, grand chariot, repeat. Unlike the Crush Tortoise, this strategy does not make the Ice Warrior easy. Skill at attacking and blocking with Colette will be a must to win this fight. Dragon Knight - the last and the hardest. There are no easy-to-do tricks that will automatically win you this fight. The best way to guarantee a victory is to equip a holy symbol, then slowly creep towards the Dragon Knight. As soon as he moves to attack, block and slam the analog stick backwards to dodge out of the way. When his attack is done, slowly creep back towards him. If done properly he will not move forward and will be caught in a perpetual loop where he tries to attack and you dodge. This will allow the holy symbol time to work its magic and you'll hopefully reach full hit points long before your fingers get tired. Then, hit him with all you've got and retreat again to regenerate HP. Expect to be fighting him for over 20 minutes and expect to get very, very nervous sometime before the end. -Level Titles Each character automatically gets certain titles just for reaching certain levels. Those level plateaus are levels 20, 40, and 100. You don't have to even try to get all of these titles for every character, just play through the game on expx10 at least one time and it's done. -Combo Titles You are also awarded titles for Lloyd for each combo plateau you reach (10, 30, 60, 100). A good way to pump up your combo score is to have Lloyd combo with Sword Rain, Tiger Blade (or Tiger Rage if you don't want to give him the Ability Plus exsphere ability, but not Heavy Tiger Blade), and Raining Tiger Blade. If none of your party members are in the middle of comboing the enemy when Lloyd is finishing, smash the unison attack button. With Genis and Raine in the party have Raine cast Ray and Genis cast Advanced elemental magic (multi-hit such as explosion or cyclone is best). Not only will the two of them rack up a lot of hits, but Lloyd can get in another Sword Rain and your fourth party member can do a multi-hit tech as well. At the end, Genis and Raine will hit with a 30-hit Prism Stars. This pretty much guarantees a 60 hit combo as the unite attack alone should be 40-50 hits (depending on timing and the random accuracy of Ray). Achieving a 100 hit combo will be a bit more difficult. If you can pull of the 60 hit no problem, it's really just a matter of getting lucky. You have to be comboing at just the right time so that you can pump the combo meter to about 60 (or just under it) before unleashing the unite attack. Alternatively, if you're impatient, just grab a friend, teach them how to play, equip your worst weapons, and have at it. With two people working together instead of a person and a computer you can pump up the combo meter to 60 easily on any respectable boss and then slap the unite button to finish off the 100 hit combo. -Avoidance Titles There is an entire category of titles that you get in battle if you've avoided doing something inparticular for the entire game up to that point. Needless to say these are all relatively challenging, but some far moreso than others. Going for all of them in a single playthrough is just plain ludicrous, though it's not impossible. Brave Soul (Lloyd) - This one is pretty easy if you either level up a lot or avoid opening Fake treasure chests. Just don't run away from any battles until defeating the boss at the Tethe'alla base. As with all avoidance titles, Lloyd must be in your party when you defeat the boss to earn the title. Gung Ho (Lloyd) - Easily the hardest of all the avoidance titles, this one requires you to avoid leveling. It is not impossible to get this title on a normal exp game, but it does require killing off half of your party before taking on several bosses (so they don't benefit from the exp). It's far easier to just save this title for a second playthrough and go after it with expx1/2. The actual requirement is that the 4 people who participate in the boss battle at the Remote Island Human Ranch must not exceed a combined level of 145. Essentially, since levels tend to even out in this game, that means 3 of them should be level 36 while one of them is level 37 (if you want to push your luck - the lower the better, really). Lloyd must be in your party to receive this title. Eternal Apprentice (Lloyd) - This title requires you to never unequip Lloyd's wooden sword. You can't take it off, even for a moment, until defeating the boss in Palmacosta (which may occur at any of three different points depending on the choices you make. You are most likely to encounter this boss just before or just after the Palmacosta Human Ranch, however). Lloyd must be in your party to receive this title. Friendship First (Colette) - This title ranges from extremely easy to extremely hard, depending on which exp option you have set and which other titles you're going for. Personally, I wanted a challenge and I tackled this one along with 'I Hate Gels!' and 'Eternal Apprentice' (on the first playthrough, no less) making it extremely difficult. It is far easier to get if you are going for neither of the other two titles at the same time. The requirement is that nobody dies in battle until after defeating the boss at the top of the Tower of Mana. Using gels in battle to heal before anybody gets to a critical point should help a lot if you're going for this title. I Hate Gels! (Genis) - The actual requirements for this title are somewhat unclear, beyond the 'not using gels' portion. It should be possible to use all other items and it should also be possible to use gels out of battle (as long as you don't use them in battle). If you're up for the challenge, it would be better to risk neither and simply avoid using items of all kinds until after the boss fight that occurs the second time you are at the Fooji Mountains (when you are climbing up instead of climbing down). Make sure Genis is in your party for that boss fight or you'll have done a whole lot of work for nothing! -Skit Titles A small handful of titles are gained by viewing certain skits. There is at least one which is spoilerish so I will not list it here. If you've already read that particular title above and are noting its absence here, you get it by viewing the skit immediately after that character rejoins your party. Idiot Chosen (Zelos) - This title is earned by viewing a skit in Mizuho. When you first arrive in Mizuho, just continue to stay at Tiga's free inn and wait around a couple minutes before sleeping again. You'll watch several skits, eventually earning this title. Paw Mania (Presea) - Earn this title by sitting/wandering on the world map just before the Temple of Lightning. Do not wait to get this skit, get it immediately upon being told to go to the Temple of Lightning. Paw Dandy (Regal) - Viewing this skit requires having viewed the skit that earned Presea the Paw Mania title. Simply sit/wander on the world map before visiting the Earth Temple. Getting it is very much the same as getting Paw Mania. -Battle Titles Many titles in this game are earned by doing various things in battle. Some are harder than others, but none of them are truly difficult. Tetra Slash (Lloyd) - When controlling Lloyd, perform a combo as follows: forward+attack, up+attack, attack, tech. Lloyd should do a normal hit, then jump up in the air and hit again, then hit as he comes down, and finish off with any tech that is fast enough to still be a part of the combo. Tetra Slash (Kratos) - Same as Lloyd's Tetra Slash, just make sure to be controlling Kratos at the time. It might be easier if you don't have Slasher equipped. Tetra Slash (Zelos) - Same as Lloyd's and Kratos' Tetra Slash. Lone General (Lloyd) - First equip a c-stick command in Lloyd's tech menu (make sure to pick a tech of another character, not for Lloyd). Then just issue that c-stick command while that character is dead and Lloyd should get the Lone General title at the end of the battle. Boorish General (Lloyd) - Equip a few very weak and/or fast c-stick commands in the tech menu. Physical attacks (especially ones that are likely to miss) work best. Demon Fang is good. Then just fight something that can survive 10 of those attacks and make sure to issue 10 or more c-stick commands in a single battle. Berserker (Lloyd) - Easy, yet hard, this is one of Lloyd's most useful titles (if you care about actually using them). Simply switch the battle difficulty to 'hard' or 'mania' (under system-customize in the menu) and fight 256 battles. Although it is possible to get this title by constantly fighting the same creatures, it is probably easier to just save it for a later playthrough after you've gotten good at the game and switch it to 'hard' until you get the title. Little Pickpocket (Colette) - If you're going for every title, you'll likely get this title automatically when you try to steal pellets for the figure collector title. Colette must use item thief and item rover a combined total of 400 times to earn this title. Oblivious (Colette) - Another easy title, just turn off Raine's 'recover' tech or don't use Raine at all. Then get into a battle with enemies that poison and have Colette get poisoned. Fight another battle after that and she'll get the title. The official requirement is to start a battle poisoned and to not cure the poison during the battle. Single-Minded (Colette) - Control Colette, then just have her use the same tech more than 10 times in one battle. Pow hammer works fine since you probably can't kill anything with just 10 uses anyway, but it's also just as likely to miss as it is to hit helping to boost the number of times you use it. Self-control (Colette) - Control Colette, then win a batle without using any techs. Don't Run! (Colette) - Control Colette, then win a battle without dashing. Just don't move and let your other party members take care of things. Experimental (Genis) - Change weapons more than 5 times in one battle. You don't even need to control Genis, just keep accessing the equip menu and shuffling his weapons around. When you're satisfied, finish the battle. Study Harder! (Genis) - Control Genis and go to fight a creature with an obvious elemental resistance (penguinists work great). Then just cast a weak spell that they resist (icicle on penguinists) 10 or more times in one battle. Dependent (Genis) - Control Genis, then get into a fight and don't do anything. Don't move, don't cast, don't attack; let the AI finish the battle. Magic Cycle (Genis) - Use every single elemental attack type in one battle. Just get into a fight with something tough (like a dragon) and keep accessing the menu, telling Genis to cast weak spells from each of the 6 elements. If you get around to all of them before the enemy dies, you'll get the title. Item Keeper (Raine) - Command Raine to use 5 or more items in a single battle. Not hard at all. Crimson Rose (Raine) - Toss Raine into battle with 3 other female characters. Never Say Never (Raine) - Have Raine die and revive her more than 5 times in one battle. Easiest gotten if fighting the boss of the Devil Arms quest at level 60 or lower. Survivor (Raine) - Have Raine be the only one standing at the end of a battle. Just go fight something difficult, such as a dragon, without Raine in the party. Let it kill off 3 members before killing it, then switch out the living character for Raine. Get into a battle with something really easy and let Raine kill it - voila! Chicken (Sheena) - Control Sheena, then run away 50 or more times. Make sure to build some nice cooking skills while you're "earning" this one. Indecisive (Sheena) - Control Sheena, then hit the 'escape' command in battle. Then cancel. Repeat two more times, then win the battle. Party Comboist (Sheena) - Control Sheena and equip the taunt exsphere ability on her, then get into a battle with multiple enemes. Perform a unison attack to kill one enemy, then taunt while your other characters do nothing. After awhile the gauge will be filled again, perform another unison attack and then kill off all remaining enemies. Combo Conductor (Sheena) - Control Sheena and make sure the unison attack gauge is full. Get into a battle with something weak enough to be killed in a single unison attack (if you're powerful, that can even be a dragon) and then hit it with ONLY a unison attack (do not combo before the unison). If the unison attack kills it, you get the title. Casanova (Zelos) - Have Zelos fight in a party with 3 females. Gilgamesh (Zelos) - Equip Zelos with the Excalibur, Golden Helmet, Golden Armor, Hyper Gauntlet, and Jet Boots; then win a battle. Commander-in-Chief (Zelos) - Control Zelos, then issue party AI commands (with the + pad) in battle 4 or more times. Give the commands some time to settle in or they don't count. Loudmouth (Zelos) - Have Zelos say something over 50 times in one battle. Although this title is not difficult to get in any random boss battle, it could probably be forced by having the AI do nothing while you take Zelos and let the enemy beat him repeatedly while he tries to heal. Fragile Shield (Presea) - Control Presea and command the AI to do nothing. Then just walk up to the enemy, turn your back towards it, and block. The enemy should attack and get a Guard Break. Let it Guard Break on Presea 10 or more times for the title. Lone Girl (Presea) - Have Presea fight in a group with 3 males. Associate (Presea) - Have Presea fight in a group with Zelos, Sheena, and Regal. Hunter (Presea) - Kill the same enemy several times in a row (technically 5, but you might have to do more than that). This is easiest at the Temple of Ice, wandering between the Penguinist outside and the Penguinist inside on the bottom floor. Testosterone (Regal) - Have Regal fight in a group with all males. Potion King (Regal) - Command Regal to drink 5 or more potions in one battle. Way of the Jungle (Regal) - With Regal in the party, defeat an enemy that is a significantly lower level than him. The exact number should be 8 levels. Pratfall King (Regal) - Have Regal get knocked away 10 or more times without hitting the block button to land from the fall safely. This is quite easy in the Coliseum battles when you're trying to get Regal's Coliseum title (the same goes for Way of the Jungle for that matter). -Collection Titles Several titles in the game require you to collect ludicrous amounts of varying things in the game. Everything from custom-made figurines to dungeon treasure to women (yes, women). These titles are what turn title collecting into literally collecting everything and doing everything in the entire game (as even entirely optional side quests unlock the ability to make rare figures that you couldn't otherwise). Everything except the figurine list is included in the main checklist of this document, but there are also separate (though duplicate) lists for people only interested in one title or another. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 4: Flanoir Doctor - spoilers abound The Flanoir Doctor event is the main event that nearly all of the "necessary" spoilers of the game hover around. The game has plenty of spoilers, but most of them can easily avoid being spoken of. The doctor scene cannot. The short of it is that you will have a short scene with any of the 9 characters (depending on affection levels). Three of those scenes result in getting an item either during the scene or the morning afterwards. As long as you get one of those items, you need not read through excessive spoilers until after you've finished the game one time. Basically the Flanoir Doctor scene involves the three characters with the highest affection towards you all visiting your room and asking to speak with you. No matter how mean you are to Colette, she's usually one of them (which isn't entirely bad since she gives you the Snow Hare). You can choose to view the scene with that character or instead say "I'm sorry" to see which character comes in next. The affection rating of the character you speak with skyrockets and that character usually ends up liking you more than anybody else for the rest of the game no matter what. Okay, now you've finished the game once, right? If you haven't you shouldn't read this part. This is where it gets extremely spoilerish. The second item (The Chosen's Orb) can be gotten by viewing Zelos' scene. The last item is the most spoiler of them all, and that is Kratos' Locket. If you refuse all three people you have a scene with Kratos. If you see that scene, Zelos will inevitably die and be replaced by Kratos in the end game. Not only is this required for Item Collector (it's the only way to get Kratos Locket), it is also required to get Monster Collector (because you fight Zelos), and furthermore is the only way to get Master Chef (Kratos' cooking title). This single scene is the sole reason why you cannot get every title in a single playthrough. Because of various ways to play the scene, you must go through the game at least twice to get every title except Item Collector. Item Collector requires no less than three playthroughs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 5: Figurine Collection This is a list of figurines in the order that the game shows them with the creation requirements for them. It's not very useful unless you've actually started making figures before reading this guide. Unfortunately, there is no better way to format this text. If you're only partially done, good luck with this. Dog, p Cat, p Pigeon, p Bush Baby, s Getting the Figurine Collector Title Don't let that list intimidate you; getting that figurine collector title is incredibly easy. First, you must realize that you don't have to feed Dirk pellets one by one. You can give him massive stacks of 20 pellets of the three main kinds and he'll make you 60 figures in one go. Second, he never makes duplicates (although he will waste pellets if you let him). The simple solution is simply to never, ever let Dirk waste pellets. It's just a bit of math. Take a look at the totals: P: 90 F: 61 S: 50 PR: 19 FR: 21 SR: 47 Grand Total: 288 figures, 375 pellets Dirk's a great guy, but it's obvious that Lloyd's intelligence follows Dirk's very closely. If you give Dirk a pellet and a rare pellet he has a 50% chance of making a P figure and a 50% chance of making a PR figure; that's a 50% chance of wasting your hard to get rare pellet. What you should do should be getting a bit clearer now. Go out and gather up 20 each of pellets, fine pellets, and super pellets. Give those to Dirk in one giant load. Repeat. Repeat again, but only give Dirk 10 super pellets. That puts you at a total of 60/90P, 60/61F, 50/50S. Just give Dirk 30 more pellets (1.5 loads) and 1 fine pellet. Since Dirk never makes duplicates, now he will never waste your rare pellets again! When you think you've given Dirk all of one type of pellet, you might want to double check yourself. Save, then give Dirk one pellet in the category you think you finished off - if he tells you he made a new figure, you aren't done yet. In that case save again and write down the total number of figures you have. Then give Dirk all of that pellet type and see how many figures he actually made with them (if he made as many figures as you gave him pellets you're way off and you need to go gather more). Load and give Dirk only the number of pellets that he actually made into figures, saving the rest of them for combination with rare. It might be true that the above listed formulae are not the ONLY formulae. In this case, you might be able to make a figure listed 'PR' with only 'P'. That's why you should always double check to make sure Dirk has made all he can with a given pellet type, and also make sure he isn't wasting pellets by calculating how many figures he should make and observing how many figures he actually makes. How to get pellets? The best way is to steal them (you need Colette's 'Little Pickpocket' title anyway). Equip Colette with the following exsphere abilities: Lucky, Sharp-eyed, Stat Boost, and Magical. This will guarantee that she succeeds whenever she actually hits the enemy with her ability (a feat which should be easier than it is). First fill out your inventory of pellets by heading to the Meltokio Sewer. Get into an encounter and, if there aren't any jellyfish, escape. Keep repeating this until there are jellyfish, then command Colette to steal from them (it helps to tell your other characters, including Colette, to 'hold position'). Kill all non-jellyfish and, when Colette finally steals from a jellyfish, kill it, too. There should usually be more than one jellyfish, so make sure she steals from both. The really nice part is that these fights occasionally yield fine pellets, so do this step before stocking up on fine pellets. Next you'll want to pick up some Fine Pellets; thankfully this is much easier than picking up normal pellets (and has a nice bonus chance of dropping super pellets!). Head to the Temple of Earth and get into fights with the Slug enemy. Every time there should be giant snails, so tell Colette to pilfer their fine pellets before you kill them. Oddly enough, when trying to get Rare Pellets (the hardest type) there is a small chance of having Super Pellets dropped - so head to Derris-Kharlan next. If you can't get there yet, give up for now. You can't make all the figures until that point of the game anyway, so come back when you're just about to beat the game. When you step on the warp point do NOT warp to the end of the dungeon. If you select 'no' you'll still warp, just to the beginning (where you want to be). Get into encounters with the skull enemies and keep escaping until you encounter a Phantom Knight. Have Colette steal Rare Pellets from it. Last, and unfortunately most annoying, are the super pellets. Steal them from Lobo (the cat type enemy) in the Temple of Ice. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section 6: Treasure Collection Martel Temple: 5 1.
