To do attacks, and zoom around the stage, you will need Energy. The Blue Bar on the left hand side of the screen indicates this. When you have full energy with the bar flashing blue then red you can press select to go into rage mode, which will increase your abilities. Green Health Balls The Green balls that you will find scattered around the areas will restore your Health. Red Special Icon The Red Special Balls that you will find gives you a special attack activated by pressing 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. Blue Energy Icon Just like the Blue Energy Balls, the Blue Energy Icon will fill up anywhere from 25, 50, or 100 on the Energy bar. Green Health Icon Just like the Green Health Balls, the Green Health Icon will fill up anywhere from 25, 50, or 100 on the Health bar. Cloaking Icon It is the White Icon that you will find now and then. It cloaks you. You will become invisible, so no one can lock n to you. While you're invisible, you can still be attacked. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ******** Monsters ******** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****** Robo47 ****** Robo47 is a fast monster. Though not very durable, he as the fastest rate of fire in the game and moderately strong attacks. If you hold down the buttons for his special until you here a long un breaking beep the missile will home in on your target. If you do not whish to fire your missile after you have pressed the long-range special button, hit block, which will return the nuke to its silo. Robo47 is considerable weak against energy attacks and long range attacks. When you carry an object and do his stun hit, it's about 2-3 times faster then his stun hit without an object. Its speed is easily comparable to Togera's stun hit. Try it out and see for yourself! In fact most monsters with a slow stun hit have a much. Durability: 4/10 Strength: 5/10 Speed: 9/10 Long-range special: 8/10 Short-range special: 3/10 Combos: (Courtesy of Claw from http://www.war-of-the-monsters.com/) 9 hits (close): [],[],[],down+[],[],down+[],/\,[],/\ 8 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],[],[],[],/\ 8 hits (close): [],[],[],down+[],[],down+[],/\,/\ 8 hits: /\,/\,[],/\,/\,down+[],/\,/\ 8 hits: [],[],[],/\,/\,[],[],[] 7 hits: [],/\,[],/\,[],[],[] 7 hits: [],/\,[],/\,[],[],down+[] 7 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],[],down+[] 7 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],down+[],down+[] 7 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],[],[] 7 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],[],down+[] 7 hits: /\,[],[],down+[],[],[],down+[] 6 hits: [],[],[],down+[],up+[],down+/\ 6 hits: [],[],[],/\,/\,/\ 6 hits: [],/\,[],/\,[],/\ 6 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],down+/\ 6 hits: /\,[],[],/\,/\,/\ 6 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],/\ 6 hits: [],/\,[],/\,down+[],up+/\ 4 hits: [],[],[],[] 4 hits: /\,[],[],[] 4 hits: /\,/\,[],[] 4 hits: [],[],/\,down+/\ 4 hits: /\,/\,/\,down+/\ 2 hits: up+[], down+/\ *********** Kineticlops *********** Kineticlops is actually very strong and has a long reach; his only weakness is that he uses energy very quickly, but he also gains it back the fastest. Also, he absorbs energy attacks and long range attacks like a sponge. His Long rang special is actually the best in the game as it can hit multiple enemies. Kineticlops is the best juggler in the game. With his attacks he can keep an opponent in the air for a good five minutes or until they die. The best way to start a juggle is to use down+/\ when your opponent is near a wall or building, and then use upper cut attacks to keep them floating. Durability: 6/10 Strength: 8/10 Speed: 6/10 Long-range special: 9/10 Short-range special: 6/10 Combos: (Courtesy of Claw from http://www.war-of-the-monsters.com/) 8 hits: /\,/\,/\,up+/\,/\,/\,[],[] 8 hits: [],[],[],up+/\,/\,[],[],[] 7 hits: [],[],[],up+/\,/\,/\,[] 7 hits: [],[],[],up+/\,/\,/\,/\ 7 hits: [],[],/\,up+/\,/\,/\,/\ 7 hits: /\,/\,/\,up+/\,/\,/\,/\ 7 hits: [],[],[],up+[],/\,/\,/\ 6 hits: [],[],[],down+[],down+[],up+/\ 5 hits: [],[],[],up+/\,[] 5 hits: [],[],/\,up+/\,[] 5 hits: /\,/\,/\,up+/\,[] 4 hits: [],[],[],/\ 4 hits: [],[],/\,/\ 4 hits: [],[],/\,[] 4 hits: [],/\,[],[] 4 hits: [],[],[],[] 4 hits: /\,/\,/\,/\ ***** Magmo ***** Magmo is the strongest character in the game. Noting weakens him. But he is very slow and easily hunted down. Stun your enemy when you and your enemy are near a force field wall. Target and sidestep to his side so that the monster stands between you and the wall, and do Magmo's special attack. Try it on Preytor or Kineticlops almost instant death even on Agamo I got about 60% damage with a single special. The force field doubles the damage. Durability: 10/10 Strength: 10/10 Speed: 2/10 Long-range special: 10/10 Short-range special: 5/10 Combos: (Courtesy of Claw from http://www.war-of-the-monsters.com/) 9 hits: [],/\,[],/\,[],[],[],/\,/\ 9 hits: /\,/\,[],/\,/\,[],[],/\,/\ 9 hits: /\,/\,up+/\,/\,/\,[],[],/\,/\ 9 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],[],[],/\,/\ 9 hits: /\,[],[],/\,/\,[],[],/\,/\ 9 hits: [],[],[],/\,/\,[],[],/\,/\ 9 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],/\,[],/\,/\ 8 hits: [],/\,[],/\,[],[],[],[] 8 hits: [],[],[],/\,/\,[],[],[] 8 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],/\,[],[] 8 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],[],[],[] 8 hits: /\,[],[],/\,/\,[],[],[] 8 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],[],[],[] 7 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],/\,/\ 7 hits: [],/\,[],/\,[],[],/\ 4 hits: [],[],down+[],down+/\ 4 hits: [],[],[],[] 3 hits: [],down+[],down+/\ 3 hits: [],/\,/\ 3 hits: /\,/\,/\ 3 hits: /\,[],/\ ******* Preytor ******* Preytor is the fastest in the game and the most maneuverable but is also the weakest. Newbies should not try to use her until they are more experienced. Spend most of your time onto of high buildings and out of the main Melee, and watch your opponents. Wait for one to get another in a long combo, and swoop down to them. Let the one opponent finish knocking the other down and then slam him with a combo of you're own while they're recovering. While both are down for the count, move your self out of range. Make sure to run fast and dodge well, because at this level, you really can't afford to be caught in a multi-monster melee. If you do, don't hesitate to use your short range special to clear the air a bit. Durability: 3/10 Strength: 3/10 Speed: 10/10 Long-range special: 4/10 Short-range special: 8/10 Combos: (Courtesy of Claw from http://www.war-of-the-monsters.com/) 9 hits: [],[],[],[],/\,[],/\,/\,[] 9 hits: [],[],/\,[],/\,[],/\,/\,[] 9 hits: [],/\,/\,[],/\,/\,[],[],/\ 9 hits: [],/\,/\,[],/\,[],/\,/\,[] 9 hits: /\,[],/\,[],/\,/\,[],[],/\ 9 hits: /\,[],[],[],/\,/\,[],[],/\ 9 hits: /\,[],[],[],/\,[],/\,/\,[] 9 hits: /\,/\,[],[],/\,/\,[],[],/\ 9 hits: [],[],[],[],/\,/\,[],[],/\ 9 hits: [],[],[],[],/\,/\,[],[],down+[] 6 hits: /\,/\,/\,up+/\,down+[],down+[] 5 hits: /\,/\,[],[],[] 5 hits: [],/\,/\,[],[] 5 hits: /\,[],[],down+[],down+/\ 5 hits: [],[],[],[],[] 4 hits: /\,/\,/\,/\ 4 hits: /\,[],[],/\ 4 hits: /\,[],/\,/\ ***** Agamo ***** Agamo is very similar to Magmo except he is slightly weaker and a little faster. His long-range special is best used as a grenade. Agamo is a steamroller. Jump in and start wailing on them. Unleash his long range special. When your opponent comes near dizzy him with it and use the head as a weapon or you can throw it at him and pound him while he's down. Durability: 9/10 Strength: 9/10 Speed: 4/10 Long-range special: 2/10 Short-range special: 6/10 Combos: (Courtesy of Claw from http://www.war-of-the-monsters.com/) Agamo: Infinite: /\,/\,/\,[],/\,*/\& [pause] /\,/\,/\,[],/\,*/\*... Use the stun move for everything. Use it after you block your enemy's combo. Just keep using it. Just remember the distancing. Distancing is key. But it's really easy, trust me. What's harder, having to go face-to-face with an enemy to start off a combo with short range, or hitting someone from 10 paces away, unblock able and dizzying them. Durability: 6/10 Strength: 6/10 Speed: 6/10 Long-range special: 7/10 Short-range special: 4/10 Combos: (Courtesy of Claw from http://www.war-of-the-monsters.com/) Togera: Infinite: [],[],[],/\,[],[],up+[],[],[],/\,[],[],up+[]..... 13 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],[],up+[],[],[],/\,[],[],[] 13 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],[],up+[],/\,[],/\,[],[],/\ 10 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],[],up+[],[],[],[] 9 hits: /\,[],[],/\,[],[],up+[],/\,[] 7 hits: [],/\,[],/\,[],[],/\ 7 hits: [],/\,[],/\,[],[],[] 7 hits: [],[],[],/\,[],[],[] 7 hits: /\,/\,[],up+[],up+[],/\,/\ 5 hits: [],[],up+/\,/\,/\ 4 hits: [],[],[],[] 3 hits: [],/\,[] ******* Ultra-V ******* Very similar to Robo47 but more durable. When you use Ultra Vs long range special you can move his hand around while its in the air and stuff using the right analog stick. From what I know you can only move it up and down but its pretty cool anyway. If you pick up a gas truck and then do Ultra V's special, it will double the damage and set your opponent on fire. Raptros is basically a Togera but with flying and the shortest-range shot. He has the quickest dodge in the air and you can play a pretty good hit and run game. You should consider using the same strategy as Preytor. Durability: 4/10 Strength: 6/10 Speed: 8/10 Long-range special: 7/10 Short-range special: 6.10 Combos: (Courtesy of Claw from http://www.war-of-the-monsters.com/) 15 hits (close): /\,[],[],/\,[],[],/\,[],[],/\,[],[],/\,/\,/\ 12 hits (close): /\,[],[],/\,[],[],/\,[],[],/\,/\,/\ 12 hits (close): [],/\,[],/\,[],[],/\,[],[],/\,/\,/\ 11 hits (close): /\,/\,[],/\,[],[],/\,[],[],/\,/\ 10 hits (close): /\,/\,[],/\,[],[],/\,[],[],[] 9 hits (close): /\,/\,[],/\,[],[],/\,/\,/\ 9 hits (close): /\,[],[],/\,[],[],/\,/\,/\ 9 hits (close): [],/\,[],/\,[],[],/\,/\,/\ 7 hits (close): /\,[],[],/\,[],[],[] 7 hits (close): /\,/\,[],/\,[],[],[] 7 hits (close): [],[],[],/\,[],[],[] 6 hits........: /\,[],[],/\,/\,/\ 6 hits........: /\,[],[],/\,/\,[] 6 hits........: /\,/\,[],/\,/\,/\ 6 hits........: /\,/\,[],/\,[],/\ 6 hits........: [],/\,[],/\,[],/\ 6 hits........: [],[],[],/\,/\,/\ 5 hits........: /\,/\,[],down+[],down+/\ 4 hits........: /\,[],[],[] 4 hits........: /\,/\,[],[] 4 hits........: [],[],[],[] 3 hits........: [],[],/\ 3 hits........: /\,/\,/\ ******** Zorgulon ******** The only thing I can say about Zorgulon is don't use him ever. He is slow week and doesn't have a decent special. First lock onto your opponent, and then move backwards while he chases you. The best thing to do now is pelt him with your long-range attack. If some one does this to you then don't chases them or if you want to kill them ram them. ************** Catching Objects ************** Whenever an object is throw ant you simple press O right before it hits you and you will catch it. ************ Batting objects ************ If you pick up a steel girder press [] right before the object hits you and you will bat it away. ********* Rage Mode ********* Whenever you have your energy bar full you can press select (taunt) to go into rage mode. While in rage mode your monster is faster and stronger, also his attacks will not make your monster lose energy, so you can use as many long- range attacks as you want and it will not cost you energy. Rage mode is timed and will wear off soon but if you collect blue energy icons you will stay in rage mode longer. ******* Retreat ******* When you are low on health don't block... run and gather as much health as possible. If several long-range attacks are being fired at you then stop only for a moment to block. If you are chasing some one who is retreating gather as much health as you can and fire long-range attacks/specials as much as possible. **************** Beginning to End **************** In your opening game (beginning) collect all of the large icons as you can to keep your opponents from getting them later. Also, try to use the buildings as much as possible as they most likely won't be around much longer. In the beginning try to keep the battle away from melee combat and focus on ranged attacks until you have collected what you need. In the middle you should be concentrating on wearing your opponent's health down and keeping yours up for the end game. In the end game very few buildings will be left and you will most likely be running for health. Grab all the health you can until there is non left, then beat your opponent senseless until you win. ***** Drain ***** If you are running low on energy do not collect any energy icons, as they will not help you. Instead pick up as many items as you can and throw them at your enemy until your energy is back up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ************************** Adventure Mode Walkthrough ************************** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NOTE: All cut scenes are shown in italics. ******************* Day of the Colossus ******************* Location: Midtown Park Enemies: Congar Difficulty: 1/6 Locations of Icons: +50 Energy Icon above building behind City Hall in the corner of town +50 Energy Icon above building on the other side of the park across from the City Hall +100 Health Icon in the middle of the park As the scene opens we see 3 police cars, convoying an armored car, racing down the street with sirens blaring. Soon Congar appears from behind them and smashes them to tiny bits. Now Congar starts to work on the military as he rips apart a missile launcher and uses his sonic roar to decimate the few scattered tanks in front of him. Congar then beats a retreat to the nearest skyscraper and launches a skewer into the air destroying a helicopter. Two helicopters now enter from opposite directions and try to capture Congar, but to no avail. As the helicopters incarcerate Congar he whips the helicopters into the building bellow using only the bonds they gave him. Now Congar has only one more thing to destroy. You! This mission is actually very simple. It is also a great level to learn the basics, as it will instruct you on several main points of the game. Your main strategy is to stay close to Congar and use as much hand-to-hand combat as possible. But before you touch Congar, let him hit you and then go and grab the +100 health icon in the middle of town. (There is also a +25 icon of the edge of town but it won't help Congar that much so you shouldn't worry) Also, learn what the gas tanker looks like now, it is a white semi truck with a black cab; this is the single most damaging weapon in the game. (You will know you have a tanker when you throw it, it explodes and sets your enemy on fire). If this is you first time to play War of the Monsters, then I recommend jumping onto one of the four skyscrapers on the four corners of the town and practicing impaling Congar with the radio antenna, this skill will help you greatly for the rest of the game. Like I said, this mission is very simple and should be over in about 5 minutes. After Congar finally dies, get ready for a slightly harder challenge. Tokens: 2,000-5,000 ***************** Revenge of Togera ***************** Location: Gambler's Gulch Enemies: Togera then Robo47 Difficulty: 2/6 Location of Icons: +100 Health Icon will appear after you destroy the Pagoda building +100 Energy Icon will appear after you destroy the Liz Bennett movie house +100 Health Icon on top of the circus at the end of town Togera is seen stomping on the last remaining defenses of the town. This level will be a little harder than the last one; it also has a large sword that you can use if you break the stone base. Take Togera down the same way with Congar but do not grab the +100 health icon yet (The one on top of the tallest tower). On the medium and hard difficulty levels don't get to far away from Togera, as he will use his long range special. Once Togera's health is low go and grab the +100 health icon and then go back to finish Togera off. Once Togera is dust. A parade of tanks and helicopters are shown marching into the city as Robo47 lands in the middle of the street. programmed to take you down. .Robo47 and the military will march into the city to take you down. There are two ways to deal with the military.1: stay on the edge of town so the tanks cannot shoot you or, 2:Grab the cloaking device at the top of the large, blue, castle building in the middle of town, and then take down the military. As you are cloaked the military cannot fire on you. After you have handled the military as you wish go after Robo47. He is quite weak and will not last long. When he runs away to grab health use long-range attacks to kill him, these especially weaken him. After Robo goes down, get ready for your first boss battle. Tokens: 6,000-8,000 ********* Outpost X ********* Location: Rosedale Canyon Enemies: 9 weak Ant Preytors then Goliath Prime (Boss) Difficulty: 3/6 Locations of Icons: +100 Health Icon over the central pillar An eruption of dust is revealed as several ants fly out and attempt to take you down. Here's your first difficult level. You will start off by fighting a swarm of Preytors (3 at once and a total of 9). Don't worry because these are weak and should fall after 7 hits. The best thing to do here is jump in the middle of them when they're all close and use your short range special, which will greatly weaken them. If your fight draws close to the military base small guns in the walls will shoot you at you. You can rip them out of the wall and use them using the O button but they don't do much damage. Make sure that you dislodge the large bolder on top of the tallest pillar, under the +25 health Icon before you destroy the last Preytors. After all 9 Preytors are history you will face the first of 3 bosses. Goliath Prime flies from behind the military installation, plants himself on top of the deserted bunker, and begins to taunt you. In his first form, Goliath Prime will perch on top of the military base and lob white grenades at you, usually in sets of three. You can just doge them but its better to lock on to goliath prime and move from left to right (strafing). After he has finished throwing his grenades, pick up the green and yellow ones to throw back at him. Stay away from the red ones, as they will explode soon. After he has taken enough damage he will turn to his second form. Now, in his second form, Goliath Prime will walk around and try to attack you with his over sized hands, just block and you will be ok. After he figures out that his melee attacks aren't working he will try to ram you. You can tell that he is about to ram when he spins the large fans on his shoulders and stands still. When he does this hide behind a pillar (not on top). After he rams the pillar you hid behind he will be stunned for a short time so pick up the boulder and chuck it at him or use your long range special. (If you attack him with melee combat he will return to using melee combat and kill you quickly so don't) He will repeat the process several times and make sure to punish him each time. After his health is down to one third, he will turn to his final form. Goliath Prime will start out by spinning like a top. (He will stretch out his arms and form a T shape) When he does jump on top of a pillar quick and feed him some of your long-range attack by pressing O rapidly. When he finishes spinning he will start firing missiles at you, all you have to do here is run as close as you can to him and stand between the barrels from which the missiles fly. But why just stand there when you can unleash combos on him. Repeat the process several times until he is defeated and then prepare for this games hardest level. Goliath Prime explodes as you strike a victory pose over his corps. Tokens: 6,000-8,000 ****************** The Creeping Chaos ****************** Location: Metro City Enemies: Congar and Preytor Difficulty: 6/6 Location of Icons: +50 Energy Icon is located on top of the tallest buildings downtown +25 Health Icon is located in the middle of the fountain near downtown +100 Energy Icon located inside a building along the corner of the metro tracks +50 Energy Icon located on the metro tracks, which run around the city Preytor is shown running amuck through the downtown area, intimidating the military, as two helicopters drop a box. Out of the box burst a mechanical monkey. Mecha Congar. Preytor and Mecha Congar begin a to rumble as you stand ready near by. Like I said before this is the games hardest level. (Why Incog put it in the middle of the game I do not know) What makes this battle harder than the other battles in which you are double-teamed is because in those battles the enemies are the exact same or similar; in this battle your enemies are complete opposites. Congar and Preytor will never fight each other, only you so you have to be good here. First of all chose a target and attack them and only them, and when your target sprints off to get health do not let the other monster distract you, as they will try. I recommend taking out Congar because if you try to kill Preytor, Congar will be in your face the whole time. But if you try to kill Congar Preytor will not try to distract you as Congar runs for help. After one falls the battle will be easier. And always remember to stay away from the large towers in the middle of town, as helicopter will kill you quickly, if you must go there make it quick and try to only go up when you are cloaked. Tokens: 5,000-8,000 ********************** It Came From the Skies ********************** Location: Century Air Field Enemies: Two Raptros Difficulty: 3/6 Location of Icons: +25 Health Icon on top of one of the towers +100 Health Icon at the end of the runway +50 Energy Icon on top of the other tower You appear at the end of a long runway as two prehistoric flying beasts head in your direction. A less hectic battle this one. Your enemies are very mobile and have strong attacks but are not very durable, so as soon as one falls the other will follow soon. Make sure you get the large health icon at the end of the runway before your enemies do. The first thing you should do is climb the large radio towers and use the dozens of antenna to skewer your opponents, but watch out, when you are far away they will use there long range attack which will wear down your health so if your one of the robots you will have trouble with them. When your antennas are all gone pick up the smaller planes and throw them at your opponents, there are also some gas trucks around so use them as well. After you have used all of the explosives take the Raptros on in melee combat until they fall. Once they are sleeping with the fishes you will face your second boss. Tokens: 4,000-7,000 ************************ Battle for Atomic Island ************************ Location: Atomic Island Enemies: Weak Kineticlops then Vegon (Boss) Difficulty: 3/6 Location of Icons: +25 Health Icon near the pipes Four Kineticlops are exposed as they are spawned from the radioactive towers standing on the out side of the nuclear facility. Soon one spots you and the others fallow it to attack their new found target. You will start off fighting four Kineticlops but these are weak as the Preytors in your last boss battle. Do not bother fighting the Kineticlops, as they will respawn until you destroy the four generators from which they spawn, so destroy them quickly. After you destroy all four generators grab a gas truck and prepare for your second boss battle. The plant explodes leaving only a crater and the memory of that which is no more. A large bulb appears and suddenly sprouts three heads. Vegon's hungry and you are the main course. Vegon has three heads, which will all shoot at you as follows: 3 heads=2 shots 2 heads=3 shots 1 head=5 shots While they shoot there little pods at you, you can either block them or dodge them. Then after its last shot is fired one of the heads will open its mouth. Once the mouth is open target the red light inside and chuck the gas truck inside which will kill one head instantly. If you do not throw any thing the head will bite you, which causes a great amount of damage. After either of these events, Vegon will hide under the ground and use whipping vines to attack you, you cannot damage them so just jump around them when they pop up. Then Vegon will pop out of the ground and repeat the process, as should you until he is dead. Vegons last head falls to the ground, as if chocking. Then it abruptly dies as you look on in disbelief. Tokens: 15,000-18,000 ******************** Battle of the Titans ******************** Location: Bay Town Enemies: Two Robo47s Difficulty: 2/6 Location of Icons: +50 Energy Icon on top of the tall tower at the north of the city +50 Energy Icon located atop the very tall building on the +25 Health Icon located on the top of the building with several pillars at the north of town +25 Health Icon on the docks You are shown in the middle of a deserted bay town as two Robo47s fly down from the sky and target you. This isn't actually that hard as long as you stay on top of buildings. The Robo47s take extra damage from long range attacks so just stand on top of the taller buildings and pound away at the O button. If one of the Robo47s does climb up to you then just hit them with combos. Once both enemies are considerable weak, jump off your building and destroy them. Tokens: 6,000-8,000 ****************** Terror in Paradise ****************** Location: Club Caldera Enemies: Agamo and Magmo Difficulty: 5/6 Location of Icons: +50 Energy Icon located between the Brisa del Mar building and the volcano +50 Energy Icon located inside of the building closest to the Volcano button +50 Energy Icon located inside of El Flamingo building +25 Health Icon above Puesta del Sol building +50 Energy Icon located in a building against the Volcano +50 Energy Icon located beside the Volcano Eruption button +100 Health Icon inside of Volcano Magmo and Agamo appear, starting a fight. Magmo begins to pound on Agamo with and unrelenting furry as he gains the upper hand. But while Magmo's guard is down Agamo grapples Magmo and hurls him across the island. Now you are shown, waiting to destroy the next creature in your way. This arena is very diverse; you have the cityscape, the wide-open places inside the volcano, and the ocean. This will help you when you go up against War of the Monsters biggest heavy hitters. Basically you will need to use the same strategy as you did in your fight against Congar and Preytor in The Creeping Chaos. Try to keep the battle moving from place to place to make your life easier. Try to get the +100 health icon in the volcano before your enemies do. Once either Agamo or Magmo run for health do not worry, they are slow and will be easy to kill when they try. Also, try not to engage in Melee combat with either of your opponents (unless you have chosen one of the stronger monsters) as they will tear you to shreds. Once they are defeated you only have three more levels to go. Tokens: 5,000-7,000 ******************* Wave of Destruction ******************* Location: Tsunopolis Enemies: Two Ultra-Vs Difficulty: 3/6 Location of Icons: +100 Health Icon located on the tallest building You are waiting in the middle of the neon city Tsunopolis. Suddenly an Ultra V is shown on one of the tallest buildings and dives down to come within range of you. You look for an escape rout as another Ultra V appears and cuts off your only exit. The Ultra-Vs will be slightly harder than the Robo47s as the Ultra-Vs are able to pull you off of buildings. This isn't actually that hard as long as you stay on top of buildings. The Ultra-Vs take extra damage from long range attacks so just stand on top of the taller buildings and pound away at the O button. If one of the Ultra-Vs does climb up to you then just hit them with combos. If you are pulled off of a building by the Ultra-Vs engage them in hand-to-hand combat for a little while and then return to your building. Also, try to use the Tsunami as much as possible. (If you need help triggering the Tsunami visit the levels section) Once both enemies are considerable weak, jump off your building and destroy them. Tokens: 5,000-7,000 *************** Terror in Space *************** Location: UFO Enemies: Three Zorgulons Difficulty: 4/6 Location of Icons: +100 Health Icon is located on one side of the upper level +100 Energy Icon is located on the opposite side of the upper level You strike a pose after being victorious over the might Ultra V. But your triumph is short lived as the menacing UFO decides to leave earth. with you on board. You are beamed aboard the spacecraft and taken to the mother ship. This battle can be tough depending on which character you have. When you first start let all your enemies come to you, then when they are close enough do your short range special. Repeat this again with the special icon in the middle of the level. After you have used all of the special icons pick one Zorgulon and kill it as fast as possible and only attack that one until its dead. Then repeat with the other two. There is a Martian city on the bottom of the UFO that you can step on to create weapons for yourself. There are two +100 health power ups on the top floor of the level but there are to many UFOs that will attack so its not a smart idea to fight up there. Also be wary that there are guns similar to the ones in Outpost X in this level, they can also be ripped out of the wall and used. Once you destroy the alien menace you will be transported to earth for your final battle. Tokens: 5,000-7,000 ****************************** Cerebulon: Destroyer of Worlds ****************************** Location: Capital Enemies: Cerebulon Difficulty: 5/6 The alien spacecraft leaves the mother ship with you onboard once again. Soon it crashes into the capital of the United States of America. Once it has landed a large robotic suite appears out of the hull of the ship. First off grab something to throw that's not a gas truck and keep it in hand. Cerebulon starts off in a giant walking UFO. When he puts his hands together run behind a pillar and block with R2, soon after he will shoot a large laser beam, which packs quite a punch. After he is done firing his beam he will rest for a few seconds and his shield will go down. Now throw what ever you can and feed him a healthy diet of long-range attacks. Repeat as necessary. Now the robotic suite falls apart and another, more compact, suite appears. Cerebulon's next form is shocking, as it will shock you. The only things that will hurt him while he is in that suit are the glowing green pieces of his last form. Try to throw them at him where they will bounce back to you so you can hit him again. After 7 hits you will move onto his last form. Before you kill Cerebulon's second form grab one those glowing green pieces and hold it. It will help you on the next battle. Finally the last robotic suite falls and Cerebulon himself appears to challenge you. Now the main event: a one on one battle with Cerebulon. The only difference between Cerebulon and a normal monster is that Cerebulon always uses a 5 to 10 hit combo. First off throw that glowing ship piece at him. Now what you need to do here is pick up the gas truck and throw it at him. Then block his combos and then attack him. But there is a easier way, get close enough to Cerebulon that he doesn't attack you with long range attack but stay far enough away that he cannot physically reach you. Now lock on to Cerebulon and walk away from him while still locked on (you will be walking backwards) and hit him with as many long ranged attacks as possible. Soon his brain will explode and you will when. There is one more way to beat Cerebulon, get as close as you can to the electricity (by the crashed UFO) with out being electrocuted. Now block and wait for Cerebulon to come over and attack you. When he does he will push you into the electricity and shock himself but as long as you keep blocking the electricity wont hurt you. Cerebulon will repeat this until he dies. After being bested in melee combat, Cerebulon's oversized head explodes, leaving you to strike one last victory pose. Tokens: 30,000-50,000 Congratulations! You've beaten War of the Monsters! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****** Levels ****** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ********** Tsunopolis ********** Throw an object at the UFO flying over the water, your own firing wont do. Doing so will cause the UFO to fire down at the water and cause a huge tsunami wave. Being on top of a tall building will prevent you from being hurt by it. Also you can avoid it by being at the opposite side of the UFO and jumping as it comes at you. The wave gets smaller as it hits the water. It will damage the buildings, if you're on a damaged building there's a chance of it being completely destroyed and you falling down with it. If you use a flying monster and try to touch to UFO, you will be electrocuted. ************ Club Caldera ************ Inside the volcano there are two large mounds of lava, get on top of them and do a dive attack. Doing so will cause the volcano to spit out large boulders on fire. The larger mound takes three dive attacks and the smaller one takes two. Also outside the volcano near its crater there's a very small mound which you dive attack once, but with this one the mound stays pushed into the ground for a period of time. Being hit with the boulder catches you on fire! It'll also damage building but not extensively. ******* Baytown ******* Map by Robo*47 Gold ================================================== =------------------XOOOOOOO-----------=----------= =----XXXX-------X----------------------X----=----= =---X--X--X----XX-----XXXXXX-----XXX---=---------= O-----XXXXXXXXX-----XXXXXX-------X----=----------= O-----------------------------------------------== O-----XXX-----OOOOOOOOO=========================== O-----XXX-----OOOOOOOOO=========================== O-----XXX-----------------------================== O-----XXX-----OOOO---xxx---======================= =-----XXX-----OOOO---xxx---======================= =-----------------------------------------------== =----------------------------------OOOOOO----===== =---------------------------------OOO---OO---===== =----------------------------------OO-----OO---=== =-----------------------------------------------== ============================= xxx- is the building that doesn't matter too much if your friend mess up and destroy that building don't worry because is just there for a second trigger just in case you miss one or too. XX-Is the building and places that need to be destroy. OO- Is the building and places that don't count. =- Is the mountains. ---- Is the street and flat land area. All trees count and all places where X is need to be destroyed and there on the fault this will trigger the earthquake because those are the places that will fall in the pit all XXX and xxx become the pit so there are the triggers. This is from Metal Gear Ray: First, I'll explain something about Baytown. Every time you destroy something (A tree, billboard, car, anything), you get "damage points". If you're in two player mode, the points aren't cumulative-they are separately counted for each monster, as each monster destroys stuff. Certain things give more "damage points". Now here's my catch--my brothers and I figured out that Baytown has only enough "damage points" for one monster to get. What that means is that if you run around with only one monster, destroying the city, you'll cause the earthquake. If you do it with two, you won't. This is because there's not enough "damage points" available in Baytown to split between both monsters and reach the necessary "earthquake trigger" TIP: If you're going to trigger the earthquake during a two-player match, just have one guy run around destroying things while the other puts the controller down and waits for the other player to reach the "earthquake trigger." Now, some things in the city are worth more points than others. If you want to start the earthquake faster, first destroy the higher-point structures. You could just start destroying everything, but that takes more time than going after good stuff. Here are some things that give you a lot of "damage points." -The tall buildings -Trees -Billboards -The pillars by the monument -The buildings by the docks Anyways, I hope that helps anyone having trouble. Basically, get one guy and run around blowing stuff up. The reason I had so much trouble causing the earthquake was that my brother and I would BOTH run around blowing things up, which as I explained can't work. So yeah, I thought I'd explain that." After you have triggered the earthquake go to the top left of Baytown. You should see a large circular part of the destroyed pillars. It has three steam pipes around it. Dive bomb (Jump, Up+Triangle) on it and it should say "Steam Venting" in the top left of the screen. All around the big hole steam will be coming out of the pipes. The steam is hot and packs quite a punch. ************* Atomic Island ************* Go over to the large vent type thing between the smoke stacks. Do your dive attack on it and the center pit will fill with highly damaging goo. As Ultra-V, stand on the platform in the middle after you have destroyed it. The blue beam from it regenerates your energy. Activate to goo effect and then fly back to the platform. Now use your long range special to drag people into the goo. Since your standing on the platform you will get another special. ************** Gamblers Gulch ************** There is a large sword in the stone, which makes a great weapon if you can break the stone. There is a large pointy pole under the +100 health Icon onto of a tall tower, which is the best spear in the game. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ********** Mini-Games ********** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ************* Crush-O-Rama ************* Handicaps: Specials disabled Info: You have to destroy as many buildings as you can before Time is up. Whoever destroys the most buildings wins. Strategies: -Try to go for multiple buildings and not one at a time. -Stun your enemy for extra time. Best Character: The best character is Zorgulon. He has a long and powerful reach. ********** Dodge Ball ********** Handicaps: -Everything but grabbing and moving. INFO: Dodge ball is a game where you have a ball and you have to take it and throw it your friend and hit him in a very small arena. You each start on two small nuclear reactors. Strategies: -If you can get the ball first hide behind a reactor and move around it to avoid being hit -If someone is hiding behind the reactor and you have the ball jump over it and hit them in while your in the air! -Us R1 and L1 to stay locked on to your friend. It's a lot easier this way to hit him! -Be careful whether your throwing the ball or dodging it because it can still hit something first bounces off of it and hit you! -Just because your friend is close to the ball doesn't mean you cant get it first. A lot of the times hell hit grab and still run but it he won't grab it. Best Character: Congar, he has the best jump in the game. ********* Big Shot ********* Handicaps: -Can't use flying abilities. -Can't attack in any way. INFO: Big shot is a game where you're on tall a building and there's a ramp that moves up and down on the building. You have 3 turns to score the most points by landing on one of the many buildings, which have numbers on them. Use the dash ability (Up, Up, hold second up) to go farther. There are also exploding UFOs and randomly placed that can stop you. If scores are tied at the end you'll go into King Of The Hill Strategies: -Hit Triangle after Up, Up all before taking off the ramp and you'll get Super Speed. Hit it again after you leave the ramp (More near a target) and it will stop. -Don't always hit the ramp when it is at max height! Lower means straight shots. -Say your target is to the right. Aim to the left a little because your hitting the ramp at an angle and you will most likely be off to the right! So always aim the opposite way a little if a target isn't straight ahead! -There is a glitch where the buildings sometimes you might miss but tap the edge. This is good for getting points that you technically didn't earn! Best Character: My personal best is the Raptros he has amazing air control and I don't usually miss! Another good guy is Kineticlops launch him when the ramp is all the way down then just before you hit the target drop out of the sky. Most of the time he always hits! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ***** Hints ***** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Play as Mecha-Sweet Tooth: Use a memory card with a saved file from Twisted Metal: Black with Sweet Tooth completed.
