Introduction The following is a guide to help find all hidden items in X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, the sequel to the 2004 hit by Activision and Raven Software based on Marvel Comic's X-Men franchise. Some items are for fun, showing you covers to comics or concept art, while others have an influence on gameplay, such as allowing you to carry more health and energy packs, or unlocking special characters. They will be listed by their type and the number I have found out of the total available in parenthesis (Number found/number possible). If I don't put a description for an item, it's usually because it's fairly obvious if you're walking around through a level. The sections they can be found in are correct though. If you would like a better description email me at Youngblood0000@aol.com, and I will write one in a future version of the guide. Have fun, and I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do. II. Homing Beacons/Iron Man Armor (20/20 and 4/4) For every four homing beacons you find within an act, a secret Blink portal will open at your base. In each portal, you'll fight some enemies and be able to acquire a piece of Iron Man armor. In act 5, you'll be able to locate Iron Man himself. There are more than 4 homing beacons in each act (6 to be precise), so the following will be enough to get you Iron Man. Remaining homing beacons become experience point bonuses. The additional homing beacon locations are listed later in this guide. Act 1- Genosha Beacon 1- Cerci Caves (Across a bridge in a cave) Beacon 2- Cerci Burrows (Beat all drones) Beacon 3- Seawall (In room only the Brotherhood can access) Beacon 4- Southern Habitats (in a hall that doesn't show up on the map, After talking with the hydroponics guy) Armor Piece- Iron Man's Gauntlets (Blink Portal in Sanctuary) Act 2- Savage Land Beacon 1- Cave (accessed from Jungle Canal) Beacon 2- Jungle Ruins Beacon 3- Jungle Pass (in one of the many caves) Beacon 4- Nuwali Shrine Armor Piece- Iron Man's Chest Plate (Blink Portal in Avalon) Act 3- Canada Beacon 1- Part A (The Core)- Core Interior (off to the left at the beginning) Beacon 2- Part A (The Core)- Core Reactor (you must fly over a reactor pit in the center after you've unlocked the doors) Beacon 3- Part B (Infinite Factory)- Genetic Processing (go down the main catwalk, and take a left. The beacon will be on the right side of a little wing off this platform, next to a breakable computer terminal and three breakable metal barrels) Beacon 4- Part B (Infinite Factory)- Assembly Factory (on a crate) Armor Piece- Iron Man's Helmet (Blink Portal in Weapon X Facility) Act 4- New York Beacon 1- Part A (Platforms)- Perimeter Platforms (on the third platform) Beacon 2- Part B- Sewers South- (behind a fan. He will then be freed. V. Data Discs (20/20) Collect any four data discs (they don't have to be in the same act), and you will be able to carry more health or energy packs. Tech Stations (30/30) Tech stations are pieces of machinery that allows a one time permanent increase in your stats (striking, focus, energy, health, body, and speed) for one character on your team. The character which activates the tech station will receive the bonus. These bonuses become very high in later levels, so they're worth looking for. Act 1- Genosha 1. Striking- Dead Zone (in a ship) 2. Focus- Desolate Mesa 3. Speed- Cerci Burrows 4. Health- Cerci Burrows 5. Energy- Seawall 6. Body- Grand Hall Act 2- Savage Land 7. Health- Jungle Ruins 8. Speed- Jungle Pass (through a cave with a weapons cache in it) 9. Body- Nuwali Shrine 10. Energy- Nuwali Corridor 11. Striking- Elemental Tomb 12. Focus- Beyonder's Sanctum (in the area that circles around, you'll see a pillar with a small fire in front of it. Put it out, and the pillar descends. Sneaky!) Source credit goes to Duskhk on gamefaqs.com, who told abelxjake2004 how to get it, who then told me. Act 3- Canada 13. Striking- Part B (Infinite Factory)- Engineering 14. Health- Part B (Infinite Factory)- Fusion Core (down hall to the left) 15. Energy- Part B (Infinite Factory)- Genetic Processing (push crane into rolling cylinders with a mighty character) 16. Body- Part C (Madri Temple)- Hall of Knowledge (down the hall from where you meet Emma Frost) 17. Focus- Part C (Madri Temple)- Madri Cloisters 18. Speed- Part A (The Core)- Core Interior. In the room with the blue cylinder thing that's one of the load screens, there is a breakable wall that's above ground level. Fly up and melee attack the wall. Another sneaky one, like the one in Act 2. Act 4- New York 19. Striking- Part A (Platforms)- Radar Array Platforms (first radar array platform) 20. Speed- Part B- New York West Side (in a flaming building, up high. You can fly or jump up to it.) 21. Energy- Part B- New York North Side 22. Body- Part B- Stockade 23. Focus- Part C (Apocalypse's Tower)- The Pantheon 24. Health- Part C (Apocalypse's Tower)- Tower Engineering (in room with Selene, the Black Queen) Act 5- Egypt 25. Health- Ra's Mouth 26. Energy- Ancient Labyrinth (near the bridges which break as you cross them) 27. Body- Temple of Anubis 28. Focus- Temple of Sekmeht 29. Speed- Hall of the Dead (press the gleaming jewel. The tech station will rise up out of the ground.) 30. Striking- Vault of the Ages (you must destroy a bunch of bars to get to this one. There are two paths. One goes left, and the floor will drop a bit beneath you. If you take the other path {straight, then left} it's a bit longer, but you can get to it with a non-flyer. I think you might need the power from Apocalypse's machine to get to break the walls, but I can't yet confirm that. If anyone can, please let me know. VIII. Extra Homing Beacon/Experience Point Locations Act 1- Genosha 1. Dead Zone (Just past the entrance to the Cerci Caverns. 2. Northern Plaza (in Sinister's Lab) Act 2- Savage Land 1. Elemental Tomb- Fire room 2. Nuwali Gateway- Labryinth room Act 3- Canada 1. Part C (Madri Temple)- Madri Antechamber (By a pillar near the beginning) 2. Part C (Madri Temple)- Divine Sanctuary (you can see it through a grate in the middle path. You'll have to go around and fly up to it from below.) Act 4- New York 1. Part B- Sewers North (need Nightcrawler to teleport to it) (This alternate strategy from Darth Pacific: There’s a switch on the floor that Magneto or other long range manipulators can activate. You have to point the character to the immediate inside right of the door to get it to lock-on.) 2. Part C (Apocalypse's Tower)- Sinister's Lab Act 5- Egypt 1. Hall of the Dead (use loose stone in room with a data disc in it) 2. Vault of the Ages IX. Weapon Cache Locations (34/34) Act 1- Genosha Barren Cliffs (across a bunch of ice bridges) Grand Hall (behind a pillar)(credit first to evilempire22@yahoo.com and ortciv@yahoo.com) (also mentioned later by athoes@earthlink.net and royalmort@comcast.net, quit piling on guys, sheesh! j/k) Act 2- Savage Land Jungle Ruins (near the beginning) Jungle Pass (in a cave) Elemental Tomb Beyonder's Sanctum (in room with Omega Red) Act 3- Canada Part A (The Core)- Core Interior Part A (The Core)- Core Security Part A (The Core)- Core Central (in Sugar Man's room) Part B (Infinite Factory)- Engineering (in room with supercharger) Part B (Infinite Factory)- Fusion Core Part B (Infinite Factory)- Genetic Processing Part B (Infinite Factory)- Assembly Factory Part C (Madri Temple)- Madri Cloisters Part C (Madri Temple)- Meditation Chamber (downstairs that opens up) Part C (Madri Temple)- Divine Sanctuary Act 4- New York Part A (Platforms)- Perimeter Platforms (on the second platform) Part A (Platforms)- Radar Array Platforms (on the second array platform) Part B- Sewers South Part B- New York West Side (directly ahead at the end of the street) Part B- Sewers West (push a bus when prompted with a mighty character) Part B- Holding Pens (after blowing up a generator, next to a comic book) Part B- Stockade Part B- Brain Trust Part B- Brain Trust Part B- Sewers North Part C (Apocalypse's Tower)- The Pantheon (fly under the giant Apocalypse statue) Part C (Apocalypse's Tower)- Tower Engineering Part C (Apocalypse's Tower)- Sinister's Lab (where Beast was) Part C (Apocalypse’s Tower)- Sinister’s Lab (behind a breakable wall, with Danger Room Disc Graduation Exam 400) Act 5- Egypt Ancient Labyrinth (across the falling bridges) Temple of Anubis Temple of Sekmeht (behind a giant pillar) Hall of the Dead (same room as the Xtraction Point) X.
