Mainly, stop adding me to Msn, it's annoying, just send me an e-mail.
I haven't played MHF2 or any MH game since about january, maybe before
that, I can hardly remember much about the game, if you really need help
ask the GameFAQs board or read some FAQs or something.

Second, some stuff I guess I should make clear.

G Rank are the quests you get from the blue lady, I listed them as
G Rank because that's what they were in MHF.

I don't have the rates for Fatalis because the guide I used doesn't
have them, I'm not going to randomly make up numbers, wouldn't be much
point.

50% DOES NOT mean you'll get it every 2 carves. You could get a 10%
carve item 5 times in a row or only after 50 carves. I get too many
e-mails complaining my rates are wrong just because someone's unlucky.

In the end, if it doesn't have anything to do with the carve guide don't
send me an e-mail. No I can't remember where Diablos get's stuck or what
weapon to use on Rathalos *cough*Hammer*cough* So stop asking.

I have the rates for Shakalakas and the King Shakalakas, but that's like
a list of 20 or so items, most of them worthless, too lazy to translate.

This guide only lists the Carve, Drop, Capture and breaking parts off
rates, it does not include the rates for reward items, they are 
different for each quest

There are actually three different rates. Elder, 1-2 star guild and 
G-Rank. 1-2 star guild rates don't really give much, that's why farming
the 2 star Rathalos quest is pointless. I only found out about it after
I got the offical guide, before that I was using a mini guide I bought.

This is a carving guide for Monster Hunter Freedom 2.  In this you 
will find the items that can be gotten from carving and breaking 
parts, the percentages of those items, capturing percentages and 
drop rates.

Carving?                                         (A03)
==================== 
Carving is one of the main methods of getting material to create
new armor or weapons in MHF2. To carve all you need to do is stand
over the dead monster and press the O button.
The amount you can carve varies depending on what you are carving.
Bigger monsters may let you carve up to 4 times, while some may only let
you carve 3 times.
For most monsters, only the body can be carved, but for some the tail can
be cut off and also carved, although for much less than the body but it
does not require the monster to be dead to carve the tail.
Lao Shan Lung and Shen Gao Ren can be carved while they are still alive
and Gypceros can be carved while playing dead, although these are the only
three monsters in which you can do that.
